Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. My kids felt safe and the treatment went well!

Fantastic experience: They have really friendly staff and I'm very happy with the over all care my child receives there. The wait times can be long because they are always busy but, they always try to get everyone in and out as soon as possible. They even gave me a gift card for the inconvenience of having to wait which was extremely kind of them. I would recommend this dental clinic to anyone with kids.

Negative experience: Took my kids for a routine dental cleaning appointment. It was very crowded, felt like they overbooked appointments. Wait time to just get our name called for an x-ray was close to 2 hours, just to have to go back to waiting again until we got called for actual cleaning. Their structure is very unorganized and staff in waiting room area was very inattentive. Currently looking for a new pediatric dentist to take my children. Would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming to Dental Fun Zone in Reseda for the past 5 years, and the experience has always been amazing. The staff is warm, professional, and incredibly patient with kids. My son used to be nervous about going to the dentist, but thanks to the fun, welcoming atmosphere and caring team, he now looks forward to his visits. The waiting area is kid-friendly, and the entire process from check-in to check-out is always smooth. The dentists take their time to explain everything and make sure parents and kids feel comfortable. We truly appreciate the consistent, high-quality care and highly recommend this location!

Negative experience: Very traumatic and bad experience my daughter had with Dr.Pati, she was in pain while she was drilling on a tooth my daughter raised her hand asking her to stop, my husband asked her to stop and she totally ignored both of them and didn’t care my daughter was screaming in pain!! I would never take her back to be seen by that doctor, They are supposed to be gentle and professional with our kids but she showed no care for mine! Dr.N treated her in the past and he was amazing, gentle and very caring! I am only going back to see him.

Fantastic experience: My son is terrified of the dentist, I though it was going to be like another experience he previously had. To my surprise it was the calmest he’s ever been. Both the dentist and her assistant made sure he was calm, laughing, and distracted during the procedure. Beyond grateful to them for such a positive experience for my son.

Fantastic experience: I wish there was more thought and consideration when I was younger. I really appreciate the effort they put into making sure the kids are comfortable. I had anxiety from my dental experiences as a child but with all the TVs and happy paintings, it helped me relax and helped me be encouraging to my son, who I was scared would have a hard time. But no, everyone is loving and kind and made his experience a great one. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Place definitely caters to children and knows how to deal with them as many are scared or unsure. They also were able to schedule me last minute for an emergency.

Positive experience: In the orthodontist section, the doctors are very RUDE, very condescending and arrogant. They definitely need to take a customer service type of training. The front desk is cordial at least, and that’s why I give the 3 stars.

Negative experience: My child's teeth are not one that fall out on their own. So they have had to pull them along the way. Now his bottom K9 are coming and they are pushing all of his bottom teeth crooked. I took him today to get the 2 pulled and they refused they said he will need to get braces. NO If they would pull the 2 baby teeth then his teeth would straighten out. This office is all about the money.

Negative experience: Not once, but twice, these people tried to charge me $45 for a single set of X-ray photos of my daughter's teeth. California state law exhibits that a medical facility is allowed to charge for release of medical forms, but at no more than 25 cents per page. They also insist on telling you that a little shadow on a tooth is a cavity. They said this to me 18 months ago, to which my daughter has not shown any signs of pain in her mouth by now. They just try to milk you for those extra costly procedures. These people aren't dentists, they're con artists. Take your kid elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Padi and her assistants were phenomenal at keeping my child comfortable and their care was exceptional. My son’s procedure was quick and he had minimal pain. Everything was explained very thoroughly and all my questions were answered. It’s no wonder the office is super busy! Our experience was amazing.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just got her 2 teeth extracted. It was her first time and she couldn’t have been more nervous. Dr. N and his assistant, I believe her name was Sona, were SO amazing. They made my 7yr old feel so at ease. So much so that she said “I love this place” so so so happy with the results. Thank you for making this scary experience a fun experience for my daughter

Fantastic experience: Had a very very good experience at this location. We have been looking for a dentist for our 5 kids and are pretty sure after today we found our place. The staff was great, informative and helpful even though it took a little longer but will be returning with our other kids soon. Def will be recommending to our friends and family.

Was incredible with my son. He got through the procedure without a hitch. So relieved. Still love this place. It’s now 5/7/2025 all 3 of my boys still enjoy coming to their visits. My oldest now has braces from their Ortho department and it’s been going well.

Positive experience: This Dental office is ok. The dentists and dental assistants treat my son with patience and compassion. One down side is it gets incredibly packed. Not sure if they double book appointments. We always get the 1st appointment of the day and the waiting room is completely full. They also make us wait around 15-20 minutes passed our appointment time. I have also noticed they constantly have new staff and they always seem to be “training”.

They are extremely nice very respectful and actually hear your concerns and take the time to listen. I’m glad I chose this dentist for my son so far the experiences has been great my son said he had a great experience. This is his first time actually ever going to a dentist. We’ve had other experience with other dentist and it was horrible. Not this one so far it’s been great. They also worked amazing for my youngest child that has autism the doctor IS AMAZING he cried but he was great working w my son answered any questions I had made me feel comfortable getting my son treated here DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Fantastic experience: Funzone Dental is a very professional dental office. They are clean, kind, explain every step of your treatment, knowledgeable, experienced. My daughter was very nervous before she go there. She had unforgettable dentist appointment and now she is very excited about her next appointment. I cannot recommend this office more. Fantastic experience: To the older rude assistant in an orthodontist side who displayed poor quality customer service and even worse professionalism. You displayed zero accountability. May you always earn minimum income to match your minimum moral compass.

Negative experience: If you have young children I highly recommend you go somewhere else. My son who is 3 years old had to get a cavity filled. We’ve unsuccessfully tried to have this done 4 or 5 times now. He’s 3 so attention span is pretty short. Every single time the dentist has been 1 hour to 1.5 hours late, he had waited patiently in his chair all ready to go until about the hour mark hit and then became super impatient. We ended up having to leave every time without any luck. The front desk tried to find us a solution by booking us in for the first appointment of the day so there was no waiting, but yet again, the dentist was late for her first appointment of the day making this yet again an unsuccessful appointment. The dentist has also come into each appointment with a negative attitude the 2 times we actually got to see her making for a horrible environment. We’ve been waiting months for this procedure and I’m going to try my best to never have to go here again if my plan will allow. If you have a choice, please don’t choose this place.

Negative experience: Had an appointment today for my son at 4pm. Arrived before 4pm, checked in, signed the consent form, and paid. 30 minutes later still didn't get called. So I asked the front desk, he checked and said "there's a lot of procedures in the back right now" no apology or consideration. 45 minutes later, was called in, I cancelled the appt. then and the person said "we apologies but we have a lot of kids that are very un-cooperative". That is not an excuse for lack of customer service. Front desk staff just chatting away instead of checking on the patients. Consider your kids going there after school, hungry and tired and then waiting 45 minutes for a procedure they are probably scared of. Your staff to say "we have un-cooperative kids", terrible...front desk staff terrible, your in a patient care environment, show some care.

Negative experience: My son said that his tooth was hurting from a cavity, so I made an appointment here and got him treated. Since it was his first visit, we paid in advance for the inspection and cleaning. I also told the female doctor that he has autism. The female doctor was nice, but the nurse in charge of cleaning the teeth sighed at my son's fear of the cleaning and quickly gave up and left the table. Finally, a female doctor came and only flossed the teeth. There was no refund even though they didn't clean them. After that, the front desk told me that they could treat the teeth that needed priority treatment on the same day, so I paid in advance again for the laughing gas and tooth extraction. We waited in the lobby for a while, and a few minutes later they called us and went to the room tried to use the laughing gas, but my son was scared and struggled, so I held him down and forced him to inhale the gas, but it didn't work at all and he even cried and vomited. Then a male doctor came in and forced a numb shot into his gums and extracted the tooth. I was surprised to see that it wasn't the tooth that he said was hurting. That tooth also needed treatment, but I just wanted the tooth that was hurting to be extracted at that time. I asked if it was the other tooth on the spot and was told that they couldn't do it in two places. Unfortunately, the laughing gas didn't work, they forced me to do it, they used the wrong tooth, and they didn't refund the treatment. Since then, my son's tooth decay has infected his gums, which have swollen and pus, and we had to find an emergency dentist. There is no point in going to a pediatric dentist if your child has an uncomfortable and traumatic experience. 10/02/2024 I will add a note. He had treatment at another dentist today. The treatment was less than what was said here. And here, even with insurance, it would cost 3k for all treatment, but at the dentist we go to now, they said that insurance covers everything and we don't have to pay anything. I wonder why, since both dentists are covered by our insurance... I've received calls from the office since I wrote this bad review, but I don't speak English and it's over now, so I don't have anything to say.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going to her ortho appointments going on 4 months and she is glowing and happy. Everyday she wakes up to more of her teeth shifting and aligning properly. She already has changed band colors a few times and is not feeling much pain anymore after adjustments from the ortho assistant. So far we are very happy with the services and the ease of rescheduling if need be. Thank u Children’s Dental Fun Zone!!!

Negative experience: Do not get your child's braces done here. They always have new dental assistants there seems like no one last longer than a few weeks and this results in them asking you what your dental plan is. Even though they are the ones that created the plan and have your child's file in front of them. Horrible customer service and they do not return calls. I even have had one of the dental assistants nodding off while changing my child's bands.

Negative experience: New patients beware-they will charge you $45 for your records if you choose to leave! Otherwise, pretty good place (it’s very busy, though, and loud, and cramped. TVs too loud). Dentists, etc, were kind and super fast. Really encouraged the nitrous oxide, though, at a $$$ tune with few insurances covering (except for denti-cal, thank goodness).

Positive experience: For the most part, this place is incredible. I come here all the way from downtown LA, and even on a after school day, you are in and out of here with no delay. But lately, Saturdays have been a whole different story. This is the 3rd Saturday in the last 9 months that I get here on time for my appointment, and we are waiting up to an hour before we are seen. They really need to stop overscheduling on the weekends if their weekend staff can not keep up. It's very frustrating to make my 6 year old wait for over an hour to get called in and then wait an additional 30 minutes inside before the dentist can finish checking him so we can leave. You guys have to start doing better on the weekends.

Fantastic experience: Dr. N and Amanda were absolutely great with both my kids. My son gets a little nervous and he did great under their care. Andrea on the orthodontist side was super sweet and helped me with financing my kids braces which made the whole process easier.

Fantastic experience: I'm not kidding when I say they're the best dentists for kids! They have treated my kids with kindness and are very respectful to everyone. Even for emergencies, they try to accommodate you. Couldn't go anywhere else, even if it's always busy I'm willing to wait.

Fantastic experience: Omg, it was our 1st time here. I have 2 kids 5 & 11. The place was super cute Inside. The staff was ALL very friendly, kind, and sweet. They immediately put my kids at ease. They got to sit right next to each other as they got their teeth cleaned, I’ve never been able to experience that I’ve always had to hold my son's hand in one room and leave my daughter alone being that he is the youngest, it was truly an amazing experience. The main dentist was very sweet my son has some work to get done. She made me feel like it wasn’t a big deal and will try to get it done all in one sitting on our next visit. The kids got a cute prize afterward, which was great. They were super happy. I’m glad I found this place.

Positive experience: Hands down, this is the best dentist for kids. Despite being busy, the doctors and staff always listen to the concerns and needs of both the parents and kids. Having the Orthodontist in the same office is a peek.

Negative experience: I took my son for fillings and they didn't do a good job so I took him back one doctor agreed that they need to fix the fillings so she scheduled him for another appointment when we got there another doctor said that they didn't need to fix nothing but they had already charged me for the laughing gas that they never used I was with my son the whole time. I been trying to get a refund but every time I call they said they will call me back until now I'm still waiting for the call. I regret taking my son to this place is the worst.

Fantastic experience: First time taking our daughter and it was AMAZING!!!! So warm and kind!! Most of all very thorough with cleaning and exams. Ms. Claudia is a STAR with the kids having arts and crafts to do with the children. The office is so clean and comforting!!

I can't say enough about their professionalism, individual and very gentle and patient approach to the kids as well as cleanliness and design of the office with lots of things to keep kids entertained. Fantastic experience: The office was lively and full of kids! movies playing and a nurse coloring with kids which was nice to see. we checked in and didn’t take long for us to be seen. The dentist was nice and she was very nice with my child.

Fantastic experience: We had a very positive experience here for my three year old son’s first dental visit. I was a little nervous about how the appointment would go, but he was comfortable the second he stepped in the office because of the kid friendly atmosphere. When it was our turn, the dentist and dental assistants were all so great with my son that he sat on my lap through the entire cleaning with no problem at all. I highly recommend this place for children’s dental needs.

Negative experience: Used to go there for my daughter almost 3 years. We always used her regular medical. Finally I was there 01/01/2024 for cleaning appointment. After 3 months they keep calling me that my daughter’s insurance cannot accept and send me the bill I have to pay for the visit. They must responsible to check insurance before appointment. At that time, if they said cannot accept insurance, I never get the service. That’s not my fault. They must check and let me know before the appointment. Why should I pay extra by my pocket if I have insurance. Now they sending me the bill that I have to pay and if not they send for collection. I’m not going to pay anyway. Why should I pay for their fault.

Fantastic experience: This was a great place for my Daughter’s first visit. Every aspect is designed for kids from the waiting area, to TVs in the exam room. They had a great system to rotate between xrays, teeth cleaning, and exam to keep a good pace so my daughter didn’t get nervous waiting. Office was very clean, updated & all the staff were friendly & knew how to interact with children. After a great first visit my daughter asked if we could go back tomorrow. Guess she liked it too!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to dental fun zone for several years now my kids love it because they have iPads for them while they wait. The wait time is never long and the dentist are always smiling and super patient and sweet with the kids that have a difficult time. I recently went in because my daughters tooth was bothering her after switching insurances not realizing I was unable to go to dental fun zone Stacey S. at the front desk was so helpful and went above and beyond calling my insurance for me calling the office that I was assigned to through insurance trying to get it figured out for me, she also got additional information for me about how to move forward with my new insurance and office. She did not have to do any of this but just did it because she is wonderful at what she does and wanted to be super helpful. I will continue to use dental fun zone even though I have to get an authorization every time I go there because of my insurance, but it will be totally worth it because we love them so much. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Positive experience: 2 stars off because I’ve had to remind the dentist a few times that my daughter has a name and it’s not “Gorgeous” - that I don’t think it’s appropriate for a man in an authority position to be calling little girls “gorgeous“. I’m going to assume it’s because it’s so busy and there’s so many clients.. you don’t have time to look at their names, ok I get it. we’ve been coming here since she was 3 or 4.. and she’s 11 now.. and he’s finally remembered.. this time he called her “dear” - much better! Thanks for listening to me. As far as the office- everyone is very kind and helpful. Especially when dental emergencies have happened. Great dental staff and work.

Fantastic experience: The staff was so amazing here! From insurance issues (which they figured out so fast) to the way they made my daughter feel safe (I also felt safe with my daughter in their hands), everything was top tier. For sure will be going back here for the foreseeable future!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 4 year old son for a routine follow up check up and had the pleasure to meet Dr. Sepehr Nasiripour. I must say that he was the best doctor especially when handling my son of this age. My son has autism and has anxiety and fear of any sound of a machinery but he was smoothly able to handle and control my son. Fantastic experience: First time for us here at this office- Quick service, amazing staff, and an environment perfect for a nervous kids dental visit. The dentist was great- the staff was so nice- We really want to give a special kudos to Deeba the hygienist that cleaned my daughter teeth. She was absolutely amazing with my super shy kid. Her energy and efficiency was very much appreciated for a visit my daughter was very nervous for. She made a huge impression on how my daughter now views the dentist. THANK YOU DEEBA!!!!
