Positive experience: Almost $6000 to have 6 teeth pulled w/medicare! Plus putting in items they know your insurance won’t pay for but claim you need it! Double check first! Other than that the work they performed was more than adequate.

Fantastic experience: WOW……..We have found our forever dentist office! They are such a helpful and friendly group of experienced staff!! I feel so at ease going there. Even my granddaughter has no fears… which she usually has with a dentist… she has a lot of work to have done and is not as stressed and fearful as she usually can be. I am so very thankful that God directed us to this dental office!!

Negative experience: This is the most outrageously priced dentist around. Went about 2 months ago due to a chip on my tooth that was causing me pain. they said a filling fell out, charged me almost $500 to fix and sent me on my way. About an hour later when the numbing wore off, the chip was still there, they fixed the wrong tooth even though i showed them which one 4-5 times. Fast forward to about a week ago, me and my husband went in for cleanings only to be told that we weren’t getting one because we needed a “deeper” clean. Mind you i go to the dentist every 6 months and never had a deeper clean, but since we moved here and this was a new dentist for us they tried to take advantage. I paid $99 for a cleaning only to be told that i wasn’t getting one and a deeper clean was going to be almost $300, plus i had 8 cavities… yeah right. Now my husband on the other hand was told he needed almost $10,000 worth of work with cavities, teeth pulled and bone grafts. They wanted us to agree right then and there, sign a paper and start paying like we could just afford that. The way they talked to us was insane. Now fast forward to yesterday, went to a different dentist for a second opinion, staff was super friendly, i didn’t need a deep cleaning and guess what, no cavities!! My husband, yeah they still recommended pulling a tooth and a deep cleaning but for $1800!!!!!! So much more affordable. GET THAT SECOND OPINION YALL. !!! Also, i informed them i was 6 weeks pregnant and didn’t feel comfortable getting x-rays, they kept pushing it and saying it’s completely fine and took so many. After speaking to my OB it definitely isn’t fine until your second trimester, so don’t let anyone pressure you into something you know isn’t right.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kahn and his associates are the best I have ever been to. I live half an hour away and work half an hour away. The drive is worth it. I have been going here for about 4 years after a 20 year hiatus from any dentist. They are always kind and do a great job.

Fantastic experience: I’m am very happy with my first visit. They were able to identify some issues with bleeding gums and had a plan to manage my care. The Dental hygienist Danielle recommended the oral-B IO. From the very first brushing, I’ve noticed a difference! A big thanks to the whole team from the front Desk to the doctors. Instantly clicked the the staff and Dr. McDonald, feeling at home as soon as I walked in the door. I was a little nervous at first, but not for long, as the assistant assured me that im in control of the procedure. Fantastic experience: Dental Care of Deltona has an outstanding, thorough, compassionate professional staff. Dr. Kirk Mcdonald and his staff go above and beyond the call of duty to provide the dental services you require. Never want to go elsewhere they are all fantastic.

Fantastic experience: So professional! Edit: so Professional at promising you quality product and delivering sub standard equipment. I paid 1400 dollars for a partial that is called a Ortho Partial. It’s completely see through. Even if it was cold finished it is still the lowest quality of material. It broke after only having it for 4 days. It broke in a place Dr McDonald said it won’t make a difference. Then the partial made my mouth very dry and my tongue felt hairy. In my investigation, the partial wasn’t Pumiced, Buffed and Polished. Not only is it very low quality it wasn’t even finished right?! There was a large plaque build up, I see they had to take a drill to get it off. A further sign of its low quality. So now I have an unusable piece of dental equipment. I now understand that, as a corporate store, there is little Dr McDonald can do in the choice of labs that are used. This is the second partial I had go wrong this year!!! I asked for my 2000 dollars back in January. He assured me he would get me a resin one that was of great quality. I trusted him. That’s this thin incomplete partial I have today, I paid 1400 for! Run away from this place! They are charlatans will take your money and give you garbage, unusable garbage. I’m so totally disappointed in myself for being taken advantage of. Too long even I didn’t read! Hahaha

He was thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable and well cared for. His assistant Jessica was equally professional—warm, attentive, and efficient throughout the appointment. I have been there for follow up and they always are they to help me. The whole process was smooth from check-in to follow-up. Fantastic experience: This is a great dental office. The staff is professional and caring. It turned out that I need a fair amount of work done, but the dentist sat with me and went through everything item by item, telling me what needs to be done and what can wait. I didn't feel any pressure to do anything, and the fact that they are willing to work with my budget and my insurance made me feel very comfortable. I have definitely found my dentist! 10/10 hands down!

He knew about veneers and implants, and we had a great discussion about options for teeth whitening. I highly recommend Nate as your next dental hygienist. On June 3rd, I had the last checkup before receiving my retainer. The time spent on the aligners is paying off! Fantastic experience: I came to Dental Care of Deltona as a walk-in for an emergency limited exam because I had broken a front tooth, that wasn't causing pain, but still needed to be taken care of immediately because it's in the front of my mouth. I was able to get a same day appointment and everyone was absolutely amazing! Jessica was the assistant who took care of me and she was extremely patient and Dr. Kirk was the dentist who seen me who was also patient and gentle! Everyone was full of smiles and welcoming! Precious saw me to put my temporary crown back on and she was also absolutely amazing!!!

Fantastic experience: Had a massive infection in a tooth kept me up all night, but they got me in when they opened at 8 am. Dr. Kirk McDonald had me numbed up and pulled that tooth and out the door by 930. He was awesome, and his assistant was on point, too. They worked like a well-oiled machine. Negative experience: I have been coming here since they opened, but they need to improve. I switched my insurance because they no longer accepted mine. I called in December to book an appointment and was given one for April. I had to reschedule that appointment because I was sick. I then booked an appointment for April 24th at 11:45 AM, but they changed my time to 11:30 AM without informing me. When I arrived at the office, they told me they couldn't see me for my cleaning because I was late. I had left work early just to make it on time. The communication here is poor. I love the doctors; they are very honest, but my experience with the booking process has been the worst. I'm tired of waiting months only to end up wasting my time. They rarely have availability. I think I’m going to look for another doctor. Don’t waste your time here.

Positive experience: It's a dentist clinic. The doctor bounces between clients. It felt rushed and honestly he ignored me when I showed signs of distress. Unfortunately they are also the only ones I found open Fridays (my day off every week). I did not have any remaining pain in my jaw, but my inner cheek where he had pulled it out very hard.

Fantastic experience: This is the 3rd dental office, and by far the best one I’ve been to since moving to FL 15 yrs ago. I called as a new patient with no real issues, but they got me in the next day for my initial appointment. The staff is welcoming and very friendly. Mallory was great explaining all the X-rays and photos and why they were necessary. Kaylee, the hygienist was also very nice. Dr. Macdonald’s exam found one issue. He explained in detail his recommendation for a treatment plan. I was very impressed with all the staff and expect to be with this practice for the rest of my life.

I called other places, it takes at least a week. I truly appreciated that since I was in pain with a fractured tooth. I feel extremely comfortable under their cares.

Shes professional, thourough, and very willing to share information to improve my dental health .. Dr. Khan also evaluated my post surgical and is also very kind, professional and thorough. Im so thankful to be a patient here.. i would highly recommend this location & staff!! I went to have my tooth extracted after suffering for an entire week… I tried reaching out to other dentist offices who were fully booked. I was in excruciating pain and today, I was so thankful to have been in the care of Dental care of Deltona!! They prepared my insurance issues prior to my visit to avoid delay in much needed treatment. I was first met be a wonderful lady named Precious!! She was so kind and very interested in helping get my mouth evaluated and worked on. She than introduced me to a phenomenal Doctor and other staff members who were so very kind, patient and took time to help me through this extremely painful extraction… he explained to me kindly and carefully what needed to happen in order to extract my tooth . I survived the extraction and thankfully will be on the mend!! I can’t tell you how many other places I contacted prior to here… and even going to the emergency room for help… only to be given one antibiotic and no pain medication… continuing to suffer… thanks to the entire staff at dental care in Deltona… I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion that anyone could want & need!! Thank you all!! I will continue to go there for my dental work from now on. Abigail I’m back at my favorite Dentist to have Some more dental work done. Again, Dr. Khan and Ms. Mallory were excellent!! Made me feel welcome and comfortable and also explained the process of what was needed !! I’m so happy to have found this location!! Fantastic experience: I have extreme anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist (I don’t know why and I try not too) but, I can honestly say I have never had a dentist like Dr. Khan who is so patient and understanding. He always goes the extra mile anytime I have dental work and his assistant is the kindest and sweetest hygienist I have ever had. I live 5 minutes from their office, but I would drive across town if I needed too just so I could go to this dentist. Their entire staff from greeting to making the payments makes my visit each time a great experience! Highly recommend!!!!

Negative experience: Not only is this a typical corporate owned office where the doctor and team make bonuses based on the amount of dental procedures they complete but the front desk is so rude and condescending. They constantly reschedule your appointments, told my husband incorrect info about his insurance (luckily I work in dental insurance), makes you jump through hoops to get your own records, and doesn’t understand how HIPAA works. Wouldn’t recommend this office or any corporate office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Deltona Dental are extremely friendly and helpful. They made my experience much more pleasant than I’ve had at other dental offices. Dr. McDonald is very kind and understanding. He explained my plan so I could understand exactly what he would be doing. I rate them all 5+++ stars!!!!!

Negative experience: Just returned home from my checkup and "cleaning," aside from the fact that the cleaning didn't take place. My second attempt at simply getting a standard cleaning in Deltona that didn't work out for some reason that is beyond me. There, in the chair, x-rays were done, gum checks were done, a dentist appraisal was done, and then the dentist was informed that, OF COURSE, the standard cleaning that is covered by my insurance won't work. I need something special. Something that will cost $140 on top of the insurance I pay nearly $50 monthly for, and then presented with a plan that would cost a total of $850 over the course of the next six months. And even if I wanted to be fleeced for an extra $140, which I don't, for the special cleaning, they couldn't do it on the spot. I would have to go back tomorrow. So I asked for the standard cleaning. Something is better than nothing, no? No, it's not, apparently. I either need to be fleeced for an extra $140, or they won't clean my teeth at all. I was sitting in the chair already. As the patient and, let's be frank, customer, I don't get a say in my treatment. I must take more time off work, sit in the chair longer, and pay more because there is no such thing as actual health or dental care anymore. We're just walking wallets, and the teeth are incidental.

Negative experience: I want to know please why, after my Lake Mary visit and your pre authorization for the appointment on the 28th, did you decide my stress would cause you to worry about his own health and a heart attack? I know that the very young man in Lake Mary had something to do with this and I’m waiting for a response tomorrow from his office. Good luck on your future, I hope only the best for you, you’re a good person if other people stop getting in your ear. Deborah A. Richardson
