Positive experience: Excellent dentist, great location, Shannon was fabulous, but unfortunately, I can't give 5 stars. I have been working with medical/dental insurance for 20 years. Before calling to set up an appointment, I confirmed with my insurance that Dr. Doering is in network. When I called to set up my appointment, the receptionist asked what my insurance was, she replied "Dr Doering is NOT in network" with my insurance without even asking for my member ID and group number to validate it. Very poor experience from the front desk.

Dr doring is one of the few dentists still in private practice, so you won't run into all the nightmares you do with some of the chain dental organizations , such as Coast dental. He has also been in practice for a very long time, and is well known and highly respected in the community.They're very conservative and will never push services on you (including x-rays )that you don't want.Shannon the dental hygienist did the most gentle cleaning I've ever had in my 71 years, besides being extremely friendly. Each exam and treatment room has a beautiful huge glass wall looking out on a beautiful garden area the doctor put in himself. It's hard to imagine that anyone could find a better dental practice in Tampa then Dr Doering and his staff.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Doering Family Dental for twenty plus years and I can truly say that Dr Dave and his friendly, well trained staff by far provides the most thorough service of any dental office I’ve ever been to. I have a very low tolerance for pain so they’re gentle in all of their procedures from cleanings, fillings, crowns, etc. In twenty years I’ve never had a problem with any dental procedures or cleaning services. I recommend them whole heartedly to anyone that’s looking for a new dentist or is unhappy with the one they have.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Doering has been my dentist for 15+ years and I highly recommend him. Prior to Dr. Doering I had been to MANY other dentists due to my extensive travel. None have come even close to the professionalism, competence, and friendliness of Dr. Doering. He is never rushed when he sees me and i know he actually cares about me and my health. And his entire staff, including the front desk and hygienists, are equally exceptional. They are always friendly, helpful, and also caring. I also trust him and his staff. A friend of mine recently went to him for a second opinion after a different dentist told her she had a cavity. Dr. Doering’s examination showed that she did not. He could easily have confirmed the other dentist’s diagnosis and made a quick buck. Bravo to Dr. Doering and his staff. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Have been going to Dr. Doering for over 10 years, and can't say enough good things about his services, his quality of work, and most of all the staff at the office. After experiencing some bad dentist and dentist work before, Dr. Doering's work on a bridge on one side and a crown on the other have stood the test of time (almost 10 years) without any issues. As for the cleanings, they are always on time, Angie is awesome at cleaning all the teeth properly and always looking out for any possible issues.

Fantastic experience: Over the years, before I came to Dr. Doering, I never went to the dentist on a regular basis. About every 3-5 years I would go. Since I started at Dr. Doering I go every 6 months. It is a great atmosphere, great staff and Dr. Doering is very kind and gentle. For the first time I tell others about a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I always look forward to my checkups at Doering Dental. Everyone is kind, gentle, courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and they treat their patients like family. When I needed a root canal, I was dreading it as I’d heard they are extremely painful. Dr Doering was awesome! I had no pain or discomfort. It was a wonderful experience, and the crown is a perfect fit. I used to be petrified of the dentist, but no longer! It is such a relief to have found this awesome dentist. In fact I have recommended many friends and family, and will continue to do so. Oh, and they also have very accommodating hours for before and after work.

Thanks Rose for bringing an awesome hygienist!! Until September, best wishes. Update Sept 2024 Had a cleaning with Rose and got my best report! Looks like my carnivore diet and electric toothbrush are working great!! Rose did a wonderful job and will be seeing her again in March 2025! ❤️ Update Feb 2024 Cleaning with Angie was wonderful and very quick due to now using an Oral B electric toothbrush. Truly enjoy going to dentist now since we found Dr Doering! Updated January 2024 My recent cleaning Rose was wonderful!! She is very patient and polite. No pain at all and complimentary about my brushing and noting very little plaque! Makes me happy I came to dentist today!! Dr Doering’s office is very well run, calm and friendly. Makes being at dentist enjoyable! Updated August 2023 The best dental office ever. Dr Doering is wonderful and hygienist Angie is fabulous. She is so kind and patient with me. Recommended round electric brush so I will get one as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: Staff was super friendly and the environment kept me calm during my appointment. There was even a window when I was getting my teeth cleaned up some pretty flowers which I enjoyed looking at. They are very caring and they take their time to make sure the quality of their work is good. Had one of the best cleaning I’ve had in a while. Even if my insurance changed? I would find a way to come back to Doering Family Dental.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Dental Office! Dr. Doering is wonderful and honest! My former dentist for years, Wendy Churchill on Madaca Lane retired and Dr. Adel who took over the practice told me I had two cavities and needed a mouth guard because I was grinding my teeth. I did not believe this to be true and when Dr. Doering saw me, he said neither was true. How bad is it for Dr. Adel to try to deceive patients like that. It's nice to have an honest dentist like Dr. Doering unlike Dr. Adel. I recently had an appointment for cleaning with Shannon at Doering Dental and she was incredible and thorough!

They focus on everything right for your health and wellbeing, and don’t attempt to upsell you on everything you don’t need. He even removed the mercury from my fillings and replaced with non toxic substance, probably a ceramic, many, many years ago. Office rather beautiful, cozy and calm atmosphere. We love this place
