Fantastic experience: Switched to Abbeville after being displeased by the dentist I had used for my girls since they were infants.let me tell you, I wish I had known about them years ago! The staff is always so friendly and make my girls feel comfortable. They always explain exactly what us going on and take their time. AND the wait is never long! I used to spend hours to wait for one dentist to make his rounds for like 10 patients before he got to us. Give these ladies a try, you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I initially made an appt that was gonna be almost 2 weeks out, then I had them give me a call back cuz I was gonna need some antibiotics to help with the pain, after the call back n expressing my pain the lady asked if I could be there tmrw morning at 9am and they were going to squeeze me in. I showed up n within an hour I was done and on my way home. They went above and beyond to help me. Thank you so much for the huge relief I felt after the visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel softly introduced himself and directly asked the patient her concerns while listening attentively, examined the gums and teeth, went over the two medications he prescribed, and possibly a referral to a gum specialist if issue is unresolved. Hygienist professionally took Ex rays and pictures to use comparison on patient’s next visit.

Fantastic experience: Abbeville dentistry is probably one of the best dentistries I've been to in a long time their professional exceptional and very just professional the girls treat you with great respect . Negative experience: Beware! They are a corporation that wants your money. My son supposedly had 10 cavities at my last visit. Knowing that he flosses and brushes daily, I took him to get a second opinion to my dentist (that I trust). He has no cavities! My dentist says that they see this all the time and Abbeville is one of the top responsible parties. His teeth are healthy. What would Abbeville have done to my kids healthy teeth? They would’ve permanently damaged them. Think about that. Abbeville is non ethical, non truthful, and it feels criminal. An investigation needs to occur. It’s not just my one son. My other kid was told needs a crown on his baby tooth, but it was just a small cavity that was filled easily. I’m furious at their behavior. Parents come in and are taken advantage of because they are made to feel guilty in that they didn’t take care of the kids teeth, when in fact, the teeth are fine. They prey on parents guilt.

Fantastic experience: The ladies up front, the dental assistant, and the dentist (I wish I could remember names) were all so caring and helpful throughout the whole process of getting my tooth extracted. So thankful for their help. Cannot say thank you enough!

Positive experience: Giving a 3 star- mostly because of one person i dealt with- Two of the front people were very nice. One was snooty and rude when she couldn't find our appointment- which wasnt my fault because it was scheduled under my last name and not my childs and his nickname and not full name. Everyone else we dealt with was awesome. We will be moving our other 3 kiddos to this location too. Even though there was issues with scheduling at the wrong office, they moved me and the appointment went smoothe. I will avoid the one lady who was so rude and hope that it was just an off day for her- also hope even though she wasnt very friendly or nice that she has a better day- because the other 5 people we spoke with were 100% kind and patient.

Negative experience: I was having a tooth pulled & my insurance just paid for the full dental exam and the dentist broke the tooth next to the 1 being pulled in half!!! Then left it in my mouth. Then jokingly said I kinda got 2 for the price of 1!! 9 months or so later I've cut my tounge 1,000's of times since then & last week got a major infection & they had no concern about getting the tooth pulled over the dentist doing that to my tooth!! That's very unethical if you ask me to break a tooth in half & leave it there & joke to me about it after it happened!!! Crazy! I just got it pulled elsewhere! NEVER WOULD GO THERE AGAIN

Negative experience: I used to go here for the last year with my family. I hear from a close family friend that their daughter was denied care because she has cancer! I have breast cancer and this didnt even happen to me once while i was a patient in abbeyville. this is outrageous. poor girl. I can only imagine what she was feeling. I have informed my husband to switch us to a different dental office. We are no longer coming back to Abbeyville

Negative experience: Went to one south location, waited over an hour for a cleaning that takes 10 minutes, after already being charged I ended up leaving, without a cleaning. Tried another location, I tried to express come concerns of possible wisdom teeth growing in pushing teeth to be uncomfortable. Dentist just asked if I was wearing my retainer when I’ve never had braces or a retainer. Just assumed I’m irresponsible I guess.

Negative experience: My husband refuses to come back to this location, he stated that after I went back into my appointment the lady wearing a yellow style jersey kept starting at him. She came around the desk being loud and kept poking her behind out to get his attention. Her thirst was real. We went to the west location for the actual appointment and the experience was so much better.

Negative experience: After recent actions of this company towards a girl being refused service due to her cancer diagnosis that she profusely explained that she is allowed to be serviced due to her being already cured, I no longer want to affiliate myself with Abbeyville Dentistry. As a person with a disability, this is a very traumatic experience and ordeal to go through, not only by charging her to do NOTHING but also to blame the patient for the lack of experience the dentistry has. I have been a patient under Abbeyville for 3 years. I am beyond disappointed to hear such a sad encounter for a young patient who already has to deal with cancer. No apologies towards her nor any actions taken to improve patient care.

Negative experience: I used to be a patient here but not anymore!! They charged my sister in law but did not perform her teeth cleaning. They refused to give her a refund for a service they did not provide. This is unacceptable and very disappointing. Think twice before coming here!

Negative experience: I was charged $150, helped by the staff, and waited almost 2 hours just to be told I cannot be serviced because of my existing condition of cancer. I had expressed to both dentist and assistant that I am not going through any treatments, no chemo, no radiation, and no drugs and only had done a curative surgery. I am healthy. However, it was too unsafe to do a dental cleaning because of my existing condition however X-rays and other stuff were done already. If it was so unsafe, why do procedures already then stop at the cleanings? Anyone touching a patient should be aware of the history. Before you touch your patient, anyone on the team who is working with the patient should know if the patient would be denied. My history was given in the very beginning even before my appointment. Why is it that I was held there for so long and charged for nothing to be done to my teeth when 4 people have held my patient history in their hands and nothing was said? Even the cancer center was shocked at this. I get a call today after filing a complaint and was told that it wasn’t their fault and that research was done online to show that it is not their fault. To be told that “it is not their business on the history” is absolutely unacceptable. A healthcare team involves MORE than just a dentist. The entire team should MAKE it their business as any hospital would to make sure the patient received the proper care. As a healthcare worker, the first thing we do is look at patient history. I’ve even talked to other THREE other dentists and was told what Abbeyville did was wrong. No apology, not even a learning experience for them to fix something that is clearly wrong. The lady said, “We don’t communicate with the dentists your history”. That is horrible communication and horrible teamwork. Learn from your mistakes instead of refusing communication because that is unprofessional, unproductive, and bad patient care. This was my first time ever going, my first time I felt independent after my cancer journey. It was a horrible experience to be denied basic cleaning over something that was cured. Cancer patients already go through so much, and this was really unsettling. The history was given to you in the beginning. Do something with it and effectively communicate with your team instead of waiting last minute to waste a patient’s time and money. My family and friends are now moving to a private practice dentistry. This entire ordeal could’ve just been avoided but failed in the dentistry’s hands, but I do not blame them as systems can fail, yet they still refuse to learn from this. EDIT: I got back from the cancer center. To the lady from HR who said she googled and researched what the “correct” answer was, is wrong. I am honestly appalled by the lack of care and accountability this company has. I have attached what the cancer center has informed me.

Negative experience: Patients history should be checked by your assistants before starting any tests like Xray, so when your dentist is not comfortable doing the procedure you will save your patient from being charged and also their time, because even if the patient signed the consent it is still your dentist decision to do the procedure or not. It will help your patient save their time waiting in your clinic and of course money. Be the patients advocate.

Negative experience: I am ashamed of referring my friend to this dentistry to be denied care over cancer that was cured. I am taking my business elsewhere and informing all my family members who are under this dentistry to find a new dentist. It is shameful that you blame the patient for your lack of communication and care

Fantastic experience: First time patiemt today & everything went great. Staff was super friendly especially April.

Negative experience: I had a dental bridge done, the work done about two to three years ago, has forever traumatized me. Even when I told the dentist in advance that I suffered from combat PTSD and severe anxiety, my objections were ignored. Instead I laid their Frozen in pain. The whole process was so unbearably painful I could barely breath. Despite my apparent trauma and tears, the dentist continued for three hours, apparently unmoved by my misery. This trauma has left me with nightmares, a constant reminder of what happened. The temporary bridge was also problematic, frequently breaking and exposing delicate tooth. This caused weeks of pain, and the dentist dismissed my worries as nonsense. Not only was I physical and emotionally injured, but I was also overcharged by $800, which was only realized later. The lack of sympathy and care for me during this ordeal left a long-lasting imprint on my life.

Fantastic experience: The employees are fantastic and you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The girls at the front are great! My hygienist, Carmen, did a great job and I will definitely return.

Fantastic experience: I give it 5 stars if I could give them 10 stars I would it was my sons first visit. They did amazing. My son felt comfortable the whole visit. The staff was friendly and very welcoming felt like we had been going there for years. My son wasn’t scared at all. We both enjoyed the visit! Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience: My past two visits have been for my 10 year old on the adult side and it was perfect! She chipped her adult tooth and she has struggled with dentist visits her entire life. They talk her through everything and remind her she’s doing great. I’m so glad that they fixed my daughter up and made it a great experience for her.

Negative experience: The care providers here really need to work on communicating what they are doing and why they are doing it. I had to get new dental work done this year that I never have before. I was shocked when I found out they had drilled my tooth almost completely down. I now have a crown that I will have to be aware of everytime I do anything for the rest of my life. And it was NOT explained or talked through with me to make sure I understood what the process entailed or how it would impact my dental care going forward. I also had to have some fillings. Both the crown and filling have caused me so much discomfort, I can barely chew properly. The office is also always hectic which makes already uncomfortable visits even more so.

Positive experience: Quick and pretty easy in and out. Always friendly to my kiddo. Easy to schedule appointment’s. Been going for several years now and no complaints.

Negative experience: At first they were good the people in the office was nice and very helpful. But after that it was awful. My son had to get wisdom teeth cut out and it took over 2 weeks to get that scheduled. And after finally getting it scheduled the doctor refused to do surgery because my son is allergic to on of the meds they used and canceled his surgery. Then had to be referred to another oral surgery so had to start over again. Then the new oral surgery tried for a week to get exam and all info from this place and never sent it over. Finally sent it over after calling several times. Very dissatisfied with this whole thing.

Negative experience: My daughter has been a patient at Abbeyville dentistry for years. But this time was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. The girls in the front were very nice, sweet and friendly as usual, but the girls in the back could learn how to smile or at least pretend to be happy to be working. My daughter was not a big fan of Dr. Mike!!
