Fantastic experience: Every time I come here, I get the red carpet treatment! Everyone is stellar from the receptionist at the front desk to the Assistants to the Dentists!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was just so nice and attentive to our needs. my wife and I are very impressed. my hygenist was so professional, nice and answered all of my questions. Sceduling staff was very very good and explained everything in detail to us. My Doctor was very very good, i would highly recommend this office to anyone. The experience was just so overwelming. Fantastic experience: I am always nervous when I have to see the dentist. I haven't had to have a new dentist in over 20 years. I went for my first visit and the visit was very pleasant. I had all of my concerns addressed and the staff all made me feel very comfortable. So glad I found them. I used Google to search a dentist near me. Another positive they take my insurance.

Fantastic experience: Gentleman was thorough, knowledgeable and did extra due diligence with X-rays to get a better view of a tooth

Negative experience: I would leave a lower rating if I could. They will cancel your scheduled appointment if you don't confirm it. It was confirmed when I made the appointment! With 4 kids and working more than a 1.0 full time position, I had to take time off of work to make this appointment. Responsibly, I showed up to my appointment only to find it was canceled. Ironically, I received a text message 2 hours before the appointment reminding me of it. Will they explain to you that if you don't confirm they will cancel it? No. Did they cancel my first appointment that I also didn't confirm? No. My treatment plan was for nearly 10,000 worth of dental work including crowns and implants. That is profit they have now lost. Cancelling an appointment without notifying me is an unnecessary inconvenience to the majority of people with busy lives, not just me. Additionally, its poor practice and lacks couth as well as patient respect. Of note, my dentist there was actually great. But she now feels like the final boss in a video game that you can only reach if you can make it past the front desk. I don't cancel my patients appointments for no reason and as an expectation as a patient, I don't believe appointments should be cancelled unless there is a legitimate indication to do so.

Fantastic experience: I have never been treated so kindly and cordially in a dental facility in my life! From the moment I stepped in, the staff was super friendly and accommodating! I felt very welcomed and cared for! I highly recommend High County Dental! I know I’m going to tell everyone I know about them :).

They are not judgemental and allow me to make decisions on my care while offering solutions to problems. Fantastic experience: Amazing service (water, coffee, creature comforts) and quality care. Walking though the door I felt like my oral health was in excellent hands, between the excellent admin staff the amazing dental hygienists, and Dr. Melissa taking the time to talk about whatever I needed. Another note is that the communication is top notch. Cant recommend high country dental enough.

Fantastic experience: I stopped in the office with an appointment, to check out a tooth that was bothering me. The Doctor was so accommodating and understanding of my discomfort. She worked on my tooth and I left the office pain free. The staff are all terrific!

Negative experience: I keep getting a bill and every time I call they can never give me an answer after being overcharged. I ask for documentation but never get them they will overcharge patience to put money back on the quarterly account, which don’t make sense.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ivers takes care of me and my whole family. She is an incredible dentist and really cares. She is fast, gentle and kind. She recently took out a tooth and it was painless. She told me we could wait until January to do more work because it would cost me less with my insurance. I have never had a dentist that delayed work because it would benefit me financially. I tell everyone about her and this office. I trust her explicitly.

They always listen and they help us manage costs through our insurance. No surprises and no shame. All three dentists are friendly and have expert skills. I have had plenty of work done. Frequent patient and truly satisfied. Believe me I know the difference.

Positive experience: This was by far the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. The staff was extremely unprofessional. I initially went in for a routine cleaning — something I’ve had done before without issue — but was pressured into a deep cleaning with lasers. I agreed to do half of the treatment but noticed no improvement, so I chose not to continue. Later, I returned for a standard cleaning (which is fully covered by my insurance), only to be told they wouldn’t perform it due to some vague claim about “disrupting bacteria.” I did my own research and found no scientific basis for this. It felt like an excuse to push unnecessary treatments. In my opinion, they are more focused on making money than providing proper care. I will never return. Proceed with caution.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr. Ivers! I hate all dentist offices because I have so many problems with me teeth and everytime I go to one, it's always a not fun time. But this is the absolute best out of everywhere I've gone. Everybody is so sweet and comforting. Dr. Ivers is very genuine and quick during the procedures (but not too quick ).

Negative experience: I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this dental office. My appointment started significantly late 1.5 hours later, and their explanation… they were running behind. When it was finally time for my procedure, I was surprised to find out—without any prior notice—that a new doctor would be handling my care. This change was never communicated to me ahead of time, which felt unprofessional and inconsiderate. To make matters worse, it was the dental assistant, not the dentist, who actually completed my fillings—again, without informing me. Lastly, while I was in the chair, I could clearly see the names and personal information of other patients displayed on the computer screen, which is a major violation of privacy and HIPAA regulations. This visit left me feeling unsettled and completely disregarded as a patient. I will not be returning and hope the office takes these concerns seriously to prevent this from happening to others.

Negative experience: I received a letter from my insurance company stating that the dental office is requesting a payment and that I owed them money when I paid my bill in full. This was after I was overchanged for my first payment. I won’t be going here anymore. They take advantage of new patients that’s from out of town. It’s sad. Have been manipulated and took advantage of because I have good insurance and they know who my husband for. I’ve been overcharged and I’m still receiving text messages stating that I have to pay more money after being overcharged. And I am new to Rio Rancho. I’ve only been here five months.. I’m kind, respectful, sweet and humble and this is the way I’m getting treated. Please ask for receipts and paperwork to ensure you’re not being taken advantage of and overcharged guys.

Fantastic experience: Very professional group! They make you feel as comfortable as possible!

Negative experience: The women were very kind that helped you at the front desk. However, the male doctor does not make you feel safe or comfortable or go down what he was going to do for procedures. I was under the impression that I was going to get my gums fixed find out. I was there for a different procedure altogether. The doctor did not go over anything. He just started putting a shot in my mouth without telling me what was happening. He did not tell me what the procedure was. How long the procedure would take. He did not say hi how are you? Nothing of the sort. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I never been to a dentist office before where I was treated so coldly by a doctor who doesn’t inform me what was going on. Then you find out that they don’t even do those types of things they’re themselves and I would have to go to a different doctor. The ladies, there are absolutely lovely. The place is clean, but the doctor, however, not my cup of tea.

Fantastic experience: They took me in quickly for Ila infected molar nerve root. They RX more antibiotic and called the endodontist on my behalf to treat me. Dr Ivers knows teeth well; our tooth fairy doctor!

Negative experience: Horrible Experience – Botched Procedure and Zero Accountability My experience at High Country Dental in Rio Rancho has been nothing short of a nightmare. I went in for what should’ve been a routine crown and filling. The procedure was a disaster from the start—painful, unprofessional, and completely mishandled. My mouth was injured during the process, and they didn’t even complete the filling I was charged for. The doctor admitted they caused the damage but brushed it off as “just a bump from dental trauma” and never gave me a formal diagnosis or treatment plan. I later learned the issue is a ranula—a chronic condition that now requires surgery. Instead of taking responsibility, the dentist said, “everything in the mouth heals, just give it time,” and when things clearly got worse, his response was basically, “I don’t know what to do” and sent me off to an oral surgeon. After the fact, I started looking into what went wrong and was shocked to find out that students from a dental school operating in the same building had worked on me. At no point was I told that a student or trainee would be involved in my care. That is completely unethical and dangerous. Because of their mistakes, I’ve developed a ranula under my tongue—a painful, chronic condition that makes it difficult to speak, eat, or function normally. I asked for help and even just a basic sick note for work, but they’ve refused everything and pushed me off to an oral surgeon, which now adds even more costs out of pocket—all for damage they caused. This place is negligent and dishonest. If you care at all about your health, do not go here. You deserve to know who is treating you, and you deserve competent care. I wish I could give zero stars.

Fantastic experience: The people at this office are the nicest, most friendly people, I have ever met at any professional office. They all genuinely seem to really love their jobs. Dr Trujillo was very gentle, and concerned I was not in any pain, when he fit me in the same day to pull my tooth. This tooth had been throbbing terribly, for the last 3 days, and I was so very grateful he pulled it that day! Dr. Ivers is just as wonderful, and highly skilled. She started me on a treatment plan to whiten my teeth, which was at the lowest price of the possible treatments. I am extremely happy they are both great dentists, and do not try and get you to purchase the highest priced treatment to start with. The entire office team, besides doing a wonderful job, seems to be there to really help keep you comfortable. Best dental office ever!

Fantastic experience: Hands down impressed. This place is fabulous!! Entire experience has been easy and seamless. Paperwork was a breeze, and for once: they didn’t ask me to fill out almost the exact form when I got there (am I right?). I even got a tour! I love the green efforts, enjoyed the refreshment station, and super professional service. Everyone was smiling, I think it’s the happiest dentist office I’ve ever visited! The radio for extra supplies to the front was next level, y’all. I didn’t even have to pass the lobby again, everything was completed back of house. Honestly, I’m excited to try the aromatherapy next time! Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: My visit today was my first to High Country Dental as a patient. I have been bringing my daughter here for years. But as a patient the service I received today was 5 stars! I felt like a VIP. I was welcomed at the door and personally walked around the facility, offered a drink, shown the amenities of the facility, etc. When shown to the room for the cleaning the hygienist was ready and I was introduced to her. She asked what fears I would have at the dentist. They had several other questions that I have never been asked before that amazed me related to my level of comfort and teeth. After the cleaning the doctor came in did his evaluation and was great as well. Highly recommend this team due to their level of care and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Burney is a really nice dentist assistant he’s been here almost everytime I’ve been here, really talkative and makes the dentist appointments go buy quicker than it seems
