Fantastic experience: I called today in distress looking to get my tooth extracted because I was in sooo much pain. they were able to get me a same day appointment with Dr.Neibauer who was absolutely amazing! His assistant, Tara? (I think that’s her name, please forgive me I forgot. ) but she was amazing as well. they both explained everything to me step by step and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I would recommend coming here 100%

Fantastic experience: Thursday I had an appointment with Dr. Neibauer at Freedom Family Dentistry. The staff is so pleasant and professional and Dr. Neibauer was wonderful! I would recommend the Freedom Family team without hesitation!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was nice and the efficiency is amazing. In 2 hours, I got X-rays, old crown reattached, impression, and a new crown made and put in! Just as impressive is the fact that just the right amount of Novocain was used. I could not of asked for a better experience!

I truly appreciated that his office took me today after I had a tooth emergency. The staff and he are always positive, friendly, and professional. Fantastic experience: I had to get my tooth extracted and Dr. Neibauer was fantastic! He made sure I didn't feel any pain. I can not get over how fast he had my tooth out once the area was numb. He's the best I've ever been too. Highly recommend him to anyone out there needing dental work.

Fantastic experience: I have always had trouble finding a good dentist. Throughout my life, every dentist was very rude and condescending to me. So for that reason, I have developed anxiety associated with dentists. However, when I saw the dentist here, he was really kind. Everyone in the office was really kind. They showed a genuine care for my dental health and walked me through everything. I will never stop recommending this dentist office!

Fantastic experience: My experience is always great at this practice! Dr. Neibauer always takes the time to listen to his patient. The office visit is efficient and clean. I have recommended him to many people. The only negative thing is scheduling. You can never get a appointment for 6 months following your appointment.

Negative experience: Not great. I had a cleaning appointment that I needed to move due to traveling. They cancelled it instead of moving it. Next appointment is 7 months out. This is just the final straw of a continuous string of not good experiences. They just try to cram too many patients in and it's taking away from the quality they used to have. Now to find another dentist who actually has time for me...

Fantastic experience: Broke a tooth a few weeks ago and needed to find a dentist. Found Freedom and they were awsome. Took me that day and had me back at work in no time. Jackie and the entire team there are the absolute best!

Positive experience: I love the doctor and all of the hygienists they make me feel so comfortable! I just had a slight bad experience with the front desk staff on the phone trying to make an appointment. I spoke with Melissa and she was very rude in her tone of voice as I was expressing a concern of confusion. I hate to be treated this way and more to complain. This is just disheartening as long as I’ve been established with this office.

Fantastic experience: Every time I leave Freedom Family, I am consistently impressed with my experience. I used to have a lot of dental anxiety, and it’s completely gone after going here. The hygienists are all so friendly and patient, and Dr. Neibauer is so nice. He answers all of your questions and walks through all the steps if you need more extensive work done. Over the last four years, I have had my wisdom teeth out, one filling replaced, and cleanings done, and all went great. I moved a little further away and still make the drive here because it’s worth it.

Fantastic experience: Our family had our first visit with Freedom Family Dentistry today and we all had a wonderful experience. Dr. Neibauer takes the time to listen to the patient and discuss possible solutions. He makes sure that the patient is comfortable with the procedure and he is easy to talk with. He explains things thoroughly to help you understand what’s going on with your teeth. The dental hygienists have all been pleasant and are great with our kids. They were also able to see me pretty quickly when I had tooth pain from a previous filling. My 8 year old daughter had a baby tooth fragment pulled from her gums and he was able to pull it without even a tear or complaint from her. We highly recommend this practice to anyone searching for a family dentist!

Fantastic experience: No one “likes” going to the dentist - however this office and its incredible staff make every visit a great experience. From the friendly staff at the front greeting you as you walk in, to the hygienist talking you through the whole process and engaging in conversation, to the dentist himself going above and beyond to make sure you leave without an questions or concerns. Positive experience: I've been going here for ten years, but lately, it's been impossible to make timely appointments. Every time I call, they say they're scheduling six months out. After talking to my friend and telling her that I was an absolute chicken when it came to the dentist she recommend freedom dentistry. I would like to tell you my experience there was wonderful. I have already called my sister up and recommended that she would go there too.i Can't wait to go back to get my partial plates. Fantastic experience: Listen, I don’t ever come on here and do a review for anyone, but I MUST for my dentist. I have had a HORRIBLE experience with dentist from a young age. Dentist who I trusted to do the work properly, just to turn around and lose 8 molars in the last 5 years, because the work they did was not correct, and over time the teeth just cracked, leaving me to get them pulled due to infection , pain etc. I am EXTREMLY self conscious about the situation with my teeth! I feel like people judge you based on your smile. I floss, I brush, I do all of the things I should do & because of numerous mistakes made it’s out of my control, the damage has been done. With that being said, I have the HIGHEST praise for freedom family dentistry. The front desk staff is always cheerful & eager to help, and they listen. The dental assistants/hygienest are always super kind, soft spoken, listen to everything you have to say. And then you get to Dr.N and he sits down, is ever so gentle, has so much compassion, and hears you out , and does not judge you or put you down for the situation you are in. This is the ONLY dental practice I have ever had so much trust, and comfort in. I know when I am there, I will be taken care of & they will ALWAYS do what they believe is in your best interest. I could not recommend them enough, and certainly cannot thank them enough for their kindness & compassion. ❤️ If you need a good dentist, Freedom Family is your place!

Fantastic experience: I LOVE FREEDOM FAMILY DENTISTRY!!!! as someone who has been afraid of the dentist since I was in my early childhood due to previous experiences (no numbing for procedures) inconsiderate dentists and very rough dentists. Dr. Neibauer is outstanding in every aspect!!! He will put you at ease about your procedure and talk with you and help you feel calm before,during and they are here for you after your procedure as well. I would recommend them to everyone!!!!

Fantastic experience: Facility is beautiful, staff is super friendly and willing to help. They got me in fast and scheduled me very quickly for my root canal! They also took great care of my husband and even as a new patient with an urgent issue got him in same day, thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: They were absolutely fantastic! All paperwork was sent to my phone in advance to complete which can be a hassle for 3 kids. Upon our arrival we were checked in and the dental assistant asked if we had any concerns, took them back early, the dentist came out and spoke to me about any concerns and to answer my questions I had. They were efficient and got my 3 kids in and out under an hour (first visit with xrays). Their previous dental office would have us for 2-3 hours for same services. Look forward to future visits!

Fantastic experience: Our whole family has come here at numerous times and we've had nothing but good experiences! They are extremely prompt, Dr. Neibauer is pleasant and honest, and when my husband had an infected wisdom tooth they were able to see him right away, and fix the issue that day. My boys loved their experience, and we've already sent a few people their way!

Fantastic experience: I very much appreciate the promptness and professionalism of all in the office when I needed a crown replacement the morning of the day they started Christmas vacation. We feel lucky to have found such a great dentist and staff when we moved to Virginia.

Fantastic experience: Melissa at registration was wonderful and pleasant to interact with. Tara and Laura were wonderful getting me back, scanned and cleaned, and wonderful to talk to. Doctor Neibauer did a thorough exam. All staff were polite and professional. The work environment was clean and inviting.

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth over the weekend and they got me in first thing Monday morning. I got a new crown and they did it all in one convenient appointment. The staff is awesome and Dr. Neibauer and his assistant Jackie have a great bedside manner.

Negative experience: Can’t get cleaning appointments but the practice is still accepting new patients. Why don’t service the ones you have? Because of this I had to go outside the practice for a cleaning in February . I came back to Freedom because I trusted Dr Neibauer. But again can’t get in for a cleaning appointment. I finally get in due to a cancellation but after my hygiene appointment was told “ oh sorry now you need a deep cleaning because you have gum disease!” Ok…..maybe if I had been able to get timely cleanings this wouldn’t have happened?! Plus I’m told they cost $112 out of pocket, I need novacaine for the cleaning and several appointments that all cost $$$ and last an hour long! For someone who has had horrible experiences with dentists do you think I’m ok with this? And the real crazy part of this story is that I have to wait 5 months (April 2024) to get this deep cleaning that apparently I really really need because my gums are bleeding and I have bone loss?? Ok if I really really am in need you let me wait another 5 months for any cleaning?! I don’t think you’re very concerned about my dental health so you’ve lost a patient! Dr Neibauer I’m very disappointed.

Negative experience: Very surprised today at checkin for a cleaning. My insurance couldn’t be verified so I needed to call for verification etc… I exited the lobby, returned to my car to make the phone call. After 9 minutes I was able to provide my Id number and a number to call if Freedom Dentistry needed it. (I do have a ID card but failed to bring it with me) I was told since I didn’t make my appt time they couldn’t see me. It was 10 min. From my appt time. I was offered a later time frame within the same day but the timing for me was not good. Just odd. I have never been treated in such a odd way. My appt was for 10:30a….I was there at 10:28. Calling insurance took 10 min. I returned to the office at 10:40 but I couldn’t been seen at that time. Just odd. Will Prob find another dentist. I like the Drs there but the front staff was obviously having a bad day.

Fantastic experience: The appointment was at 7:30 AM. I arrived at 7:15 AM and was greeted warmly and in a short time was taken in. Each and everyone was upbeat and very professional. I was there for my biannual cleaning. It went very smoothly and was done in a timely manner. I recommend this practice highly.

Positive experience: I get great care here butttt getting a appt is tough. The hygienist is fantastic. The dentist is knowledgeable. But they are completely overbooked. It’s difficult to even get two cleanings in the same year. In June they are already booking for February of next year. So while I really like the office, it’s very modern, professional and clean. Getting an appointment, as a current patient, is the difficult part.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time here and it was very nice and a friendly experience. I met with the Dr and I must say he listened to me and had patience. Since I have to have a lot done and my timing is base on being on chemo he understood and I didn’t feel as he was all about making the money and love how he was honest. Tara the nurse was amazing and so sweet she explained everything after the visit. I felt comfortable and not judge, Tara also said she can get me in the next day as long as they have my oncologist approval. I felt good throughout my visit and what I love the most the Dr is willing to work with me and asked what do I want done first. Thank you

Fantastic experience: From the frantic phone call needing an emergency appointment to the moment I checked out making my next appointment, I felt so welcomed. I was fit in an early morning next day appointment. I was greeted with a smile and professionalism. Maria was the kindest and most thorough assistant. She explained every step and kept my anxiety at ease. Dr. Neibauer was amazing! I expressed my nervousness and he and Maria assured me I was doing great. I used the laughing gas and this helped immensely. The office and dental rooms are very neat and clean as well. 10/10 would recommend.

I can't say enough about this truly impressive dental practice. Because my career moved me from New Orleans, La to Virginia, I was simply blessed to find, "the right dentist on my first try!" Fantastic experience: Update:10/4/2022 another great experience! My 9 year old needed a filling and was so scared she was shaking and crying. Dr. Neibaur assessed the situation ad was able to do the filling without an anesthetic and no pain. She left there smiling and so did I. I was really pleased with how they had a set-up prepared for a comfortable visit for my 4 year old and me. They anticipated our needs and the nurses, hygienist, and doctor really listened and helped me understand everything we were being told.

Fantastic experience: Starting with a phone call to schedule an appointment, arriving for my appointment and when I left, I was truly impressive with Dr. Neibauer's staff. The staff I talked with were very professional and pleasant. Dr. Neibauer was a different type of dentist meaning he actually sat down and talked with you, not down to you. Dr. Neibauer explained every detail, options, answered all my questions and when I left his office I was very satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I've had an extraction, and two fillings recently along with general dentistry and checkups, and every time I've been to Freedom Family it's been nothing but top notch service and skill. Quick, painless and attentive. I will NOT go to another Dentistry office as long as Freedom Family is excelling as they do! Fantastic experience: Great first experience! Super welcoming coming in, signed some forms all via a tablet! I went in for a chipped tooth. They did x rays really quickly saw the trouble area. The dental assistants were really nice as well. They explained the after steps to me in good detail and we’re super helpful.The dentist was just as great.numbed the area and pulled it really quickly. Overall great experience minus being down a tooth but will come here FOR ALL my dental needs!

Fantastic experience: First time at Freedom Family Dentistry. The staff is happy and friendly. I had a bad tooth ache and was treated warmly and professionally. Tracie, my technician, was hilarious and proficient at the same time. She knows how to calm nerves due to dental pain. Dr. Neibauer was kind and engaged in my issue. He determined the problem and offered a plan of resolution. I was very satisfied with the care I received at this practice.

Fantastic experience: I met Dr.Justin Neibauer many years ago at his original location in Central Park. He was and is a great person and dentist and he was so great and kind of me I am proud to say I brought my entire family to him over the years from my dad, both sisters and extended as well. He has his job cut out with me I am planing on remodeling my entire tetracycline stained and missing teeth with him. I now travel all the way from the west end of Richmond because he is worth it. I am bilaterally deaf with Cochlear implants now and I can both him and his entire staff are first rate. Thank you all for the past and for the future kindness.

Fantastic experience: Freedom Family Dentistry was outstanding. I am visiting from North Carolina and they worked me in just because my parents are patients. I lost a filling and was unable to travel home for a repair job with my dentist; so I was very grateful to Dr. Niebauer and his staff for being so kind and welcoming. I am so impressed with the outcome and would definitely return to the office in the future.

Negative experience: I have nothing negative to say about the staff or the dentist. This is about having a black and white policy and not showing understanding. On my way to the dentist my GPS informed me of increased traffic that would make me late for the appointment. I called the office right away to inform them of these changes. I arrived 11 min late for my appointment. I was informed I would not be seen as this will have a snowball effect on the staff’s schedule forcing others to be seen late. I can completely understand this and the stress it would cause both the staff and the people waiting. My last visit I was seen late and had a long wait. The dentist apologized several times for the wait. I had no complaints towards my wait as I can be understanding about how schedules can become effected by many factors outside the staffs control. I just wish the same understand was shown towards me. Again I am not saying anything negative about the skill of the staff within the building. I am just disappointed in the lake of understanding that was shown towards this situation when I showed understanding when the tables were reversed.

Fantastic experience: Going to the Freedom Family Dentistry is never a chore and I actually like the people that care for me while I am there! Dr. Neibauer doesn't push treatments, is conservative in making decisions WITH me about my care plans. The hygienists that I have been lucky to have a caring, thorough but also gentle! I feel as if they offer the "small town" dental office care that offers "big city" procedures. I HIGHLY recommend Freedom Family Dentistry!
