Positive experience: Dr Merritt is awesome. He gets the credit. But the office does have issues with scheduling and lack of timely communication. As an established patient, I waited six months to be seen for services. Only to find out the day before my appointment, after already confirming it and taking time off from work, that they no longer accept my dental plan. I was willing to work with them until…. I had another appointment scheduled this week, to start my treatment plan, and they called and canceled it the day before. My DH was going to be unavailable. When you have a full -time job with long hours, you can’t just leave any day, any time, for a rescheduled appointment. And wait another 4-6 months to be seen, especially when you are needing a crown placement. I feel they have taken on too many new patients, and the established patients bear the brunt. I am now having to find a new dentist even though I didn’t want to. Dr Merritt was one of the best dentists I’d ever had.

Fantastic experience: From the front desk to the dentist’s and all tech’s my husband and I have seen have been exceptional. I was nervous as I have TN and dental scares me that they’ll put me in a flare or make things worse. That were mindful of this and worked with me gently yet thoroughly..

Positive experience: DR. MERRIT IS SUCH A GOOD DENTIST AND HIS TECH. THAT WORKS WITH THE PATIENTS IS VERY KIND AND GENTLE

Fantastic experience: I went in for an extraction and had such a great experience, which says a lot because I’m usually terrified of the dentist and almost didn’t show up. The procedure itself was incredibly quick (the removal felt like 5 minutes tops!) and the healing process has been flawless, no pain or discomfort. While waiting, Jessica made sure I had all the information I needed for aftercare and helped calm my nerves. Latecia and Cissy also came in to reassure me it would be an easy process, which really helped. Dr. Merritt was wonderful from start to finish. Overall, it was a great experience and I would 10/10 recommend this office!

Negative experience: I wish I could give them 0. Horrible customer service. I didn't even go to my appointment. You make the appointment with a call center that doesnt seem to have any communication with the office. Made the appointment weeks ago for a deep cleaning. Asked if I could bring recent xrays and how much it would cost. I was told they would call me back with more information but scheduled the appointment for a deep cleaning. Never received a call back so I called numerous times, put it more messages with again, no call backs. Texted them only to be texted back FINALLY the morning of my appointment telling me there is no guarantee I can have a deep cleaning and the initial exam is over $400! What a joke. I don't know how this place is in business. I called the call center again and put in ANOTHER message that I was upset and still NEVER received a call back. I dodged a bullet not going here it seems. As I business owner myself I'm appalled at how they run this place.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about Dr. Reed and his staff. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and truly dedicated to customer service. It is a pleasure to meet such a dedicated team.

Negative experience: They do not call you. I've been going through them for a year and a 1/2, and they're still not done with these in plans. They don't fit my mouth. I've got 2 different color plate. The one guy told me, go somewhere else and I told him, yeah, I'm paying on these, and I'm supposed to go somewhere else. And pay them, too. This is the worst damn place. Like, I said these teeth, they don't fit, it's like they make one set, and they're supposed to fit your mouth while they don't. I'm drooling, I can't say certain words. Now this place is no good.

Fantastic experience: I was skeptical about this place after calling and making my families’ appointments here. Later learned they use an answering service. However, I was so glad I decided to keep those appointments. They were able to get both of my children in the same day. The dental assistances as well as, the dentist were absolutely amazing!! They made sure to explain everything in detail to my 10 yr old who had a ton of question. Can honestly say I didn’t mind spending 2 hours (split between 2 separate appointments ) of my day here! Finally found a “home” dentist office!!

Positive experience: Didn't like being surprised by cashier wanting $650 for a nighttime tooth guard when it hadn't even been discussed and then trying to charge me for an extraction of a wisdom tooth you had not finished examining yet. Kind of tacky.

Fantastic experience: I am in love with Pace Dental. I have been waiting for dentures for 6 years now and the 1st day I showed up they went beyond and helped me get them. I didn't have the money to pay for them and they helped me get Credit Card so I could get them. I recommend them to anyone. I went back because I was having problems with my dentures and they got me right in and fixed the problems I was having.

Negative experience: My complaint has nothing to do with employees but to the fact that they have gotten so busy that it is impossible for a long time patient to get a simple cleaning that isn’t 6 months out. I had to cancel appt in spring due to sickness, I was then scheduled for middle of September and assured I would be on a cancellation list, it is now Aug 5th and still waiting.

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen a few dentists in the area and many are mills and make you feel like you’re at a dental equivalent of a walmart. This office is wonderful. Everyone is kind and professional. They listen to you and don’t just put you through the paces. Dr. Merit and Chrissy were amazing. Both listened to my concerns, were respectful and kind. Highly recommend you go here instead of any of the other local dentist offices. My son also visited and it was the first time he liked the dentist. That says something! Grateful to Dr. Merit and the rest of the staff for being so awesome to their patients.

Fantastic experience: i truly have never had a better experience. i went in for a consult and the next day they had me in. the lady was so kind knowing i was nervous held my hand and everything. i couldn’t recommend them enough!!!

Negative experience: Update- tried to pay them by check. Bank notifies me today that the check is returned due to the depositor not having a clear enough image. Again I had to bring another mistake to their attention to the billing team so they could be paid. They had my account paid in full but didn’t realize they had an unclear scan of the check. Wow. One thing after another. They still never fixed their over billing issues I told them about for a year. I just paid for get the nightmare over with and still have to deal with their mess ups. Run!!! Not a locally owned office. It is a DSO owned office out of Chicago! So that explains why they don’t care about loyalty, reviews, or how they treat you. They have to answer to a corporate style set up. There is zero empathy and zero amount of help they will offer if your ins denies. They will stare at you cold and say, “we discussed this last time”. However, I have never had an office manager call me as requested. Oh Marcus. Your people skills are little to none. I will also note I pay after every single visit. Money is never an issue. The billing and the client relations are everything. Poor verbiage explaining why they refuse to make any changes to their mistakes. Jamey was helpful when she was there. Even she is gone. I worked in dental consulting for ten plus years. The billing and inability to write off questionable services not backed by the treatment plan are present. I begged them to assist in any way and I would pay off my balance even if the insurance was denying it when it was brought up and estimated on the treatment plan. This is not a local office it is DSO office. It is not a hometown feel or willing to help or work with you. It’s straight up pay or we aren’t going to discount. They said it was already adjusted but I understand EOB’s and billing. My husband was even charged for an exam not listed on treatment plan when he came for a perio cleaning. They want to automatically jump to perio root n scales and avoid basic cleanings. However being in dental I know having a 5 I probably should proceed with perio but I’m very ocd and wanted them to make sure everything was pre ran with ins and was told it was. The ins denied my first ever visit! They kept having me come back for perio maintenance knowing the ins denied and the bill continued to rack up. Even paying after every single visit. I have asked for the office manager to call me several times and have never heard from her. It’s sad because their clinical team is phenomenal but their office team needs serious help. There is a present and clear turnover office problem and mishaps in billing. They are very unwilling to adjust an account even tho they said they have. I feel very bad for clients that don’t understand billing and dental ins. They are probably being taken for a ride. I even referred family here. We will be pulling out now and going to thrive dental. Pleeeaaaassseeee just mail my remaining invoice at this point so I can get this nightmare over with. i have trained in consulting, DOCS education, and implant courses. i would suggest finding a more reasonable and understanding financial coordinator. this guy is rumored all over the town and other offices for his lack of people skills.

Negative experience: I'm shocked at how unprofessional this office is... They pulled two teeth and gave Motrin.. what a joke!! We called and they did nothing and then claimed it was a simple extraction.. if the handpiece/drill was used... That is not a simple extraction!! So all night in extreme pain.. but can come in at 8:00 AM.. GREAT SO ANOTHER. MISSED DAY FROM WORK.. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS OFFICE AT ALL!!

Negative experience: spend more time taking x rays then the actuall cleaning. Worst cleaning I ever got, it was litterally scrape scrape on 5 teeth and then straight to polishing with toothpaste. I didnt even feel the wand touching my teeth. And i know she didnt do then since my teeth felt the same as before. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: We have been going to Pace Dental for 3 years now ever since our oldest turned 1 and let me tell you, it's the best place for your dental care! On our most recent visit, July 1, 2025 the staff was able to accommodate a last minute change in appointment time and their care and professionalism always speaks volumes. Julie was able to take my new insurance information without having all the insurance information making the visit less stressful on me. Thank you Julie. Lewis, the dental hygienist is a GEM and is truly what makes Pace Dental great. He treated both of my boys (3 and 1 y/o) with the upmost care, respect and explained everything making the experience more enjoyable. It is definitely the people in Pace Dental that keep my family coming back. Thank you so much for your kindness and care.

Positive experience: It’s a nice facility! So clean and welcoming! Besides being there a little long then normal we had a great experience! The nurse we had was so nice and engaging with me and my children. She even put his favorite YouTube channel on while she cleaned his teeth. The dentist was also nice and gentle like. We definitely will be coming back!

Positive experience: Didn’t explain to me that they were charging me for something that I didn’t want charge me for fluoride. I didn’t ask for it. Charge me for mouth cancer whatever you wanna call it I didn’t ask for but on the other lines they’re pretty good about other stuff.

Fantastic experience: The Pace Dental Care is the best in the local area. The staff are polite, professional, and, most importantly, well trained. They are great at what they are doing. The facility is very new and clean. The machines they use are well maintained and look like brand new. Finally, I believe they have a large number of customers/patients under their care. Finally, I hope to thank the lady/assistant during my first visit at the facility. She took x-rays of my teeth. She was patient and showed significant care. Also, the lady at the front desk was clear and thorough about all my billing questions. Finally, Dr. Tyler Merritt was the dentist seeing me. He was extremely polite and professional when communicating with me and explained everything to me clearly and thoroughly. Conclusion: Will come back as a patient.

Negative experience: It took 8 months to even get an appointment. When I showed up yesterday I was informed I wouldn't be getting a cleaning today and they are booking those appointments two months out. I should have been informed that was how they do business. I proceeded to walk out.

Fantastic experience: The Pace Dental employees are extremely professional and courteous. The wait time is minimal if at all. I am usually seen even before my appointment time. Very clean and peaceful facilities. My DH, Louis did a fantastic job. I have been extremely pleased with Pace Dental since switching over from one of the big box shops about a year and a half ago.

Fantastic experience: Omg, love Pace Dental from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Everyone was friendly, professional and punctual. Haven’t been to the dentist in forever and they didn’t treat me like I had the plague nor try to up sale me anything other than “you are here now”. Not sure this happens all the time but happened it also happened to my husband on a separate occasion. Loved that everyone took time to answer my questions and concerns. Negative experience: The service itself was excelent. I scheduaked my appointment in march was informed theh accept my insurance. When i went to my appointment in may they let me know they do not accept my insurance. But only After i have had the service leaving me with a bill i was not expecting. Will not be returning.

Negative experience: The people were very nice and professional. But extremely expensive, even the consolation was extremely expensive . I had a saving discount plan that was supposed to be able to save me 50 to 60%. But Due to what they were going to charge for me and my daughter, you would have thought that we were getting implants instead of dentures. Least to say I walked away disappointed. So beware or have extremely good insurance.

Fantastic experience: I do not like going to the dentist at all! Pace dental has made all of my interactions so much easier. They no longer take my dental insurance, but I do continue to go to this dentist due to the outstanding care they have given me.

Negative experience: Ok place to get cleanings but not good for major dental work. Doctor left me in agonizing pain, no pain meds, it's been 2 days and I'm still in absolute agony. Better to have broken teeth than to go there.

Negative experience: If you want to be lied to and taken advantage of please go to Pace Dental. This place is a joke! Was told when I made the appointment for a cleaning I would be paying $139 for the X-ray and visit. Depending on if I needed a regular cleaning or deep cleaning it would either be less than $300. I was just given the quote of $2200. I said what about the less than $300 and they said we didn’t say that yet I was in their office at the front desk when I was told that.

Positive experience: Have been going to Pace Dental since I moved here back in 2021. Service is great as well as making future appointments. Only downfall is if you have to cancel for any reason getting your next appt booked takes months.

Fantastic experience: I cant say enough good about this dentist office. From the staff to the overall atmosphere. Dr. Merritt saved me from neverending agony when my own dentist (ex-dentist now) couldn’t fit me in. They got me in the NEXT DAY for an emergency without even being an established patient (which is why a few other closer dentists offices in P’cola turned me away). Three weeks later another emergency I was already scheduled for decided to hit me early and again they fit me in the next business day. I called after hours to the emergency line for this one and got a call back within literal seconds, I didn’t even have time to call my wife before they called me back. I had a horrible experience years ago with a dentist in P’cola that left me with severe PTSD about dentists, but Dr. Merritt and his staff assured me I would be fine. I white-knuckled that first procedure out of fear from what happened before, but after that went just as he said it would (fine and pain-free) I have felt so comfortable there and the subsequent procedure went just as smooth. I now drive about 45mins to go here and I’m glad to do it. Also, with my insurance the prices here are HALF of what my old dentist charged me! My wife is also switching now. Thank you so much Dr. Merritt and the staff at Pace Dental!

Negative experience: The only reason I gave 2 is because the girls were kind enough. My teeth still have not been cleaned, or repaired after sitting in a room for 2 hours in Nov. A broken tooth, thank you for getting me in that day, I then, made a what I thought to be a basic " cleaning " appointment. Nope. Today, I sat for an hour and a half. I gathered, we basically rent the room for an hour and a half, yes, many, many, many x - rays, photographs, a stand up mamogram looking machine, after removing jewlery on my head. Although I do have a HUGE, itemized bill, even with Insurance, which is supposed to cover, x-rays and cleanings every six months free of charge. I realize some work needs to be done, but the cost, after keeping up on my dental work all these years, is wild. Trying to do this since Nov... The way the office is ran is a mess, just wacky. I don't need a response, Your greed is apparently more important than standard dentistry. Which I have been going to since 1970....

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! Our 1st appointment was due to my daughter chipping multiple teeth and needing repaired quickly. During that appointment the doctor was so rude and got an attitude with me. I told him I had never been spoken to so poorly by a doctor and how extremely unprofessional that was. He left the room while my daughter had a cleaning. When he returned, he apologized and so did I and we just moved forward from there. To fix her teeth it was going to be $800. I asked if they could take partial payments or even if they could take half and I pay half later. They said they didn't do that and I could apply for a Carecredit card or nothing at all. So I got yet another credit card. Her next appointment was great and her teeth looked wonderful. I scheduled a second appointment for all 3 of my children in 3 to 4 months for cleanings, which was the earliest available.The next appointment was on January 22nd, which was canceled by them due to the snow storm. I stupidly assumed they would call after a few days to reschedule. When I didn't hear from them after 4 days I called. I spoke with Jade, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She said she didn't know what to tell me about getting in sooner and that they couldn't kick someone else out of their spot who had been waiting just as long. And that essentially we were out of luck. The earliest she could get them in was on March 27th. I said I didn't understand how they wouldn't take us into consideration since they canceled us at no fault of our own. I asked to speak to the office manager she said she would have her call me and hung up in my face! When the office manager called she was nice and said they were working on it. I also told her how rude Jade was. She said she would look into it because they record all of their calls. They got 2 kids in the next day at 9 and 11. Which was awesome. The next day we got stuck in traffic and at 9:02 Marcus called, sounding put out and asked where we were because he wanted to make sure we had time for our appointment. I told him I was literally 1 minute away and thought there was a grace period. When we get there, while talking to the front desk, Marcus is in the back looking at me with what I can only call "ATTITUDE", and talking to his co worker about me while staring me down. I told them I didn't understand I was 2 to 3 minutes late. The office manager was there telling me to fill out paper work. Trying not to discuss the problem. I asked Marcus if I spoke to him and he walked over will serious attitude and disgust on his face, like I was the enemy for being 2 minutes late. He said I only called to make sure it didn't cut into your appointment time. I said it's 2 minutes. The office manager says you are supposed to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork before appointments. I told her Marcus told me to be here at 9 and nothing else. How could I know that? The whole experience was HORRIBLE! I've never been treated so poorly in every possible way. Just don't go here!

Negative experience: 3 and 1/2 hours to tell my wife and I that we had $6000+ of necessary dental work needed while neither of us has present dental issues. Dentist told my wife that she needed replacement of three crowns due to “possible” cracks…quite ridiculous.

Positive experience: Everything was great with x-rays and cleaning. However, had to wait over 30 minutes for the dentist to examine my teeth.

Fantastic experience: I suggest that anyone and everyone become a patient here. They are fast, thorough, and do not charge anything unnecessary. There's no high pressure sales for things you don't need. Their staff is incredibly patient and friendly. I started going here because I have a friend with HORRIBLE anxiety, and they let me sit with her during her procedure. They handled her anxiety with aplomb!!! I immediately switched from a dentist in Navarre to coming here. I haven't been dissatisfied as a patient for the past 2 years. I can't say enough good things about them.

Negative experience: Moved recently. Made appt 1 month ago. Got my several reminders even day before asked if they take my new insurance as if jan 1st. Yes they said. Even went in 30 early they asked. Get there fill out ton of paperwork 25 minutes later they tell me we don't take your insurance. Ok. I'll self pay for my cleaning. Nope we need 11 x-rays on top of that. I said no they said sorry need them ( I'm guessing they were around 300 extra) so I let. Canceled husband upcoming cleaning also. What a total waste of time and energy. Get your business practices better.

Fantastic experience: The entire office was organized and efficient. Each staff member was professional and friendly at all times. The dentist was absolutely wonderful. He shared his knowledge and suggestions in a professional manner, making me feel secure.

Negative experience: Uninformed of my insurance not covering periodontal cleanings or sealants. I feel like they just want to sell unnecessary cleanings and other things. I will not be back. Also didn’t even get the routine care I normally got. Switched hygienist in the middle and I felt rushed to get out. Didn’t even get a new toothbrush this time. Very disappointed this time.

Fantastic experience: Saveena (I am sure I am misspelling her name), but nonetheless, she does a great job every time. Pace Dental is definitely a great place to have any dental checkup or work done.

Negative experience: This office is a joke. I have called several times to get an appointment for a cleaning. We are currently in December of 2024 and they can’t get me in until July of 2025 over a seven month wait time. If you are this busy, it’s time to hire some more dentist. Most of the offices in the area are also very questionable. Many of them don’t accept Delta Dental who is a major insurance company. I moved from the Central Florida area and had a much easier time finding a dentist.

Fantastic experience: Had a chipped tooth and went to Aspen dental. They wanted 12k and refused to work on my mouth until teeth were pulled. All I wanted was my front tooth fixed. But I scheduled an appointment with pace dental, waited a month. But it was definitely worth it. They are so nice compared to other businesses. And discussed multiple treatment options with VERY affordable payment plans. Truly blessed I decided to wait and find some place better to help me through this. Thank you pace dental and look forward to using you in the future

Fantastic experience: Lewis and Dr. Merritt, and all of the office staff we interacted with were so wonderful to my mother-in-law. She was So nervous to come in for an exam! (It’s been 17-18 years since she’s been to a dentist, because of her anxiety over going to the dentist) Lewis was so gentle with her during her X-rays, and Dr. Merritt reassured her that she would be keeping her teeth. We are looking forward to her getting her mouth health back on track. Thank you Pace Dental!

Fantastic experience: Everyone at PACE Dental care are very nice and very knowledgeable I couldn't believe that they could do dentures with a scan instead of having to do imprints not imprints I don't know what they're called LOL but unfortunately they told me that I was not a good candidate for dentures or implants because of the shape or lack of lower Ridge people take care of your teeth. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone

Negative experience: Slow. Unprofessional. Unproductive. 3 appointments to get a cavity filled and still have excuses and want more X-rays and more money. Cleaning appointment didn’t get done again with excuses and more X-rays. Save yourself the hassle with these kids and find a real dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I was greeted with kindness. Dr. Iliad and her assistant were very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. The tooth was extracted with no issues.

Positive experience: I was happy at first. I walked in and each chair had a tv with the Hallmark channel playing. It was nice, but then the flow was not very coordinated. The one girl took x-rays, then waited for hygienists, the doctor came in, then took more pics, then the hygienist came, then waited for the dr. I didn’t feel like there was any concern for my time, I had to return to work, but when asked how long it would be I was told the procedure would be less than an hour, but not how long I would wait till the procedure. You are almost stuck with having to complete anything, the same day since you have to wait so long to get a follow on appt.

Fantastic experience: It was very hard for me to find a dental office that had decent reviews and accepted my insurance (UHC). I settled on Pace Dental. It was kind of difficult to make an appointment but once I did they were able to get us in the very next day. We were called back at our scheduled appointment time. The doctor came in fairly quickly after the hygienist finished her work up. We were in and out in 30 minutes. Very positive experience and nice office.
