Fantastic experience: I have a true phobia about dental work. It is to the point that I can barely lay in the chair even for a cleaning. I shake, my blood pressure goes up, it is ridiculous. Today i had to get two fillings. The team there took such good care of me! They made sure I was relaxed with gas, they were gentle and gave me numbing shots and allowed the sufficient time for them to work. I felt nothing, not one bit of pain! I am so grateful to them.

Negative experience: After a perfect review several years ago I have to retract that 5 star rating to the lowest. After our special needs daughter was told she needed jaw surgery to be able to get bite wings in for her x-rays and necessary dental work we took her to Louisville and they done a superb job with the surgery and widened her opening as far as they could by cutting back bone in her jaw hinges. After that and all the waiting to get her back in to see the dentist they said they couldn’t do her dental care because she couldn’t open far enough. Needless to say the next dentist we took her to was able to get all the X-rays and dental care she needs with a little extra effort. Not as family friendly as I thought. Only if it’s convenient to the dentist. Needless to say the family is moving to the new professional dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I went in for my 6 month checkup and had x-rays, oral cancer screening, cleaning and fluoride treatment. My dental hygienist Ashley is awesome and Dr. Mufti was very professional, friendly and thorough in checking and asking how things were with my teeth.

Negative experience: I just left the office after a routine cleaning and it was a horrible experience. Emily is not my usual hygienist. I was rescheduled to a later time the same day and the highway was shut down with detour putting me 10 minutes late. I’m never late. The desk staff made rude comments about my late arrival to which I explained the road was shut down. Emily the hygienist was rough and pinched my lip and was rude when I said her head lamp was shining in my eyes. I’m a healthcare professional so I know what professional behavior is. I’ve never had a problem here before. I love this dental office but Emily was a horrible hygienist!!!! Sometimes people have issues that have nothing to do with you so I get it! A bad day but this was horrible.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in the door, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The dentist was informative and direct about my dental care and with my options going forward for future dental work. My hygienist, Emily, was very thorough and very friendly. She let me know throughout my session exactly what she was doing and happily answered any questions I had. The receptionist was friendly and informative and happily gave me a breakdown of costs for future dental work. I will definitely be returning to Diamond Family Dental Care and will specifically be requesting Emily as my hygienist.

Negative experience: I have been with DVD for about a year or so now and have had a lot of work done. Most procedures went smooth and well up until my most recent appointment. I was in need of an extraction, I had already been suffering for a week with major infection, unbearable pain, and a gnarly abscess. The day comes for my extraction and during the procedure and especially immediately after, I began feeling immense pain, reminiscent of the last week I had just spent in agony. I express these concerns to the aide and she is immediately dismissive and says "we don't prescribe any pain medication." I asked her if the amount of pain I was currently feeling was normal for a procedure like this, considering it just finished and I still couldn't feel half of my face, but could very much so feel great pain. She said no it isn't normal. I asked, "then can I speak to the doctor about getting consideration for some relief?" The aide then starts explaining to me how the doctor is not going to change her mind (Dr. Stone) and I am now putting her in a bad spot by even questioning the matter further. I explained to her that my goal isn't to attempt to bully a doctor into giving me a fix, I'm not a junkie...I just don't want to be left high and dry with no recourse for relief other than OTC. I also explained that I would at least like an explanation so I can understand why not. It was repeated to my again that "we just don't do that." I asked again to speak with the doctor and she said yes I can wait in the lobby. After a few minutes, one of the secretarial workers approaches me and says "you have two options, you can take this 100mg Tylenol that we can provide, but that's the most we can do. Or you can go find another provider to try and write you a script." I asked her why can't I speak with the doctor and she explained she's dealing with another patient right now and nothing will change. I asked why not. Again I was told "we just don't do that." I asked if she was saying that the doctor does not have the ability to write narcotic prescriptions...or if she just won't. She said "It doesn't matter either way, because she doesn't do it." Long story I know, but I wanted to make anyone aware of the kind of care and consideration that went into handling a patient, who wasn't even being disrespectful. The matter was handled as a nuisance and with complete apathy. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this office to anyone who is seeking more than a practice that only sees it's patients as revenue, and a nuisance and nothing else. Edit: The "owner" replied to my review saying they would reach out, as if they cared about my complaint. That never happened.

I am a new patient because I had a hard time finding an office that took new patients. So far I am very happy. Dr. Mufti is very nice too.

Fantastic experience: The staff as well as the dentist were all very friendly starting with the check-in at the front desk. I feel the charges were in line for someone without dental insurance. After chatting with someone on their online staff one evening, I was able to get an appointment the next day for a broken tooth; which was amazing. I had never been to this establishment prior to this visit. I was hoping to get the remainder of the tooth pulled; but because of the issue with the roots, I was referred to a surgeon. I will definitely be getting all future dental appointments with Diamond Valley Dental. I was referred to Diamond Valley by my son, and I am so glad I took his advice. Thank you.

Positive experience: I went here to get two teeth fixed, one they said they couldn’t fix because it needed a root canal, the other they said I had to make another appointment to get fixed! The staff were all pretty friendly though!

Negative experience: I went here because I have a huge hole in my tooth and they are in my insurance network. I knew my tooth was gonna be more intensive work. Because I've let it go for years, for many different reasons. I got my xray and was seen by the dentist and was told I need to see an oral surgeon because he felt it should be someone working on it with more expertise. Due to the fact that my root was pushing to the sinus cavity. I completely understand that. What I didn't understand was when I got home and looked up the oral surgeon facility I referred to. I saw in my network list that there are oral surgeons at Diamond Valley covered by my network. I just don't understand why there was an outside referral. The people seemed nice. I do however feel like I wasn't good enough for their actual services and it was a way just to get me off their hands. Like if I had more money things would have been done. I called their referral Surgeons and was told they need 150 just to secure an appointment. I may just seek a 2nd opinion. This place left me with mixed feelings.

Negative experience: Be very cautious with them. They keep pushing extra services, that you probably do not need. The last time I went they said that I was in the process of my gums being highly infected, & needed a cleaning that would have cost me $350 after insurance. They refused to do the standard cleaning after that! I went to USI dental school, & they told me that while my gums were inflamed, it wasn’t at that level, & a good standard cleaning, & proper maintenance would take care of it. They also kept pushing to get sealants, & if you don’t get them, they guilt trip you about it, but they kept changing the price on me. One day it $60 a tooth, & then it was $20. They filled a cavity for me, told me it be about $80 bucks, & after I paid I got a bill for $60 more! My suggestion, if you go, just get a cleaning, & if they tell you need extras, go to USI dental! They will do a great job at a fraction of what these guys will charge you!

Negative experience: The hygienist Heather I’ve been going to has been unprofessional. During cleanings she’ll hit me in the chest with the scraper to clean it off. She’s a little too aggressive. Rude to the patient. Sometimes things come up and you have to reschedule. I’m a night shifter, so things happen. When stating I’d rather come 6 months than 3 months all she’d give me is a no. Scheduled a cleaning for today and I did not recieve a cleaning. I was poked for 45 minutes then told we can give you a 300 dollar cleaning for another 60 minutes. I immediately said no as I haven’t slept for work. She rolled her eyes, got huffy and sent me to the front desk. When up there scheduling an appointment I told the receptionist I don’t want scheduled for anything but a cleaning, I’m pissed that this was supposed to be a cleaning today and I did not recieve that. She looked at me and shrugged me off to someone else. I will NEVER go back to this place. It’s a money sucking business and they want to do everything they can to get more money out of your pockets and the less they use your insurance rhe happier they are. The tried telling me I had this and that, and I was able to get a second opinion to which I wasn’t surprised they were wrong. If you experience hygienist Heather I’m sorry, but she’s TERRIBLE.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience. Was suffering 7 days with an abscess and could not get a dentist or oral surgeon to pull it. Luckily came across Diamond Valley and they had me in the very next day. Tooth was removed and the pain was gone. They gained 2 new patients. Mom was so impressed she is going to start using them as well

Fantastic experience: My husband woke up with severe pain in a broken tooth. We called at 8:15 am, got an appointment for 9:00 am, and he had the abscessed tooth extracted before 10:00 am. The hygienist and dentist were both amazing. My husband suffers from severe anxiety, and we also had our infant son with us, but their friendly staff went above and beyond. Shout out to Jackie and Dr. Smith for their gentleness and compassion. Also very appreciative of the front desk team as well. I will be recommending to everyone I know who needs any kind of dental care. Thank you SO much!

They have good technology and everything worked perfectly, I am a little nervous but they always treated me with patience and respect.

Positive experience: Dr. Mufti was really nice and sweet and did well with me with my fear of dentist. Assistant was nice too but, I feel like she was a car dealer trying to pressure me into a sale. In order to get out of there I let her make me an appointment for an expensive procedure which I have since cancelled. When people are in pain and come in to get care, we don't need to be pressured into setting up appointments for expensive procedures. We need to go home and think about everything and what is best for us.

Negative experience: Went in for routine cleaning and was kicked out of the chair for blood pressure. How utterly absurd since I carefully explained that my bp was normal and being treated for 15 years to keep it normal. Since when did the dentist become a cardiologist? I should file a report on that!! Me and wife never going near that place again!! BTW my bp at home 30 min later was totally normal!!

Negative experience: When I called to ask If they accepted Indiana Medicaid. The lady screamed into the phone "NO WE DO NOT" and hung up on me. When sharing this information with others in the community they too said they have dealt with this behavior there many times with this office.

Fantastic experience: I don’t like how they put you in the room and in the dental chair and tilt you back and feet up and I fell a week about and injured my tailbone and I think I was left in this room and in position of the chair and don’t understand why they left me alone in this room for a total of at least a half hour or more. They do a little bit every time they would come in and all I was there for was to reglue my crown and that finally took three minutes and that was three minutes to allow the glue to set up. But I was so glad when they finally were done because I was in horrible pain in my tailbone and it was hurting all evening and I couldn’t get comfortable even in my chair at home and today I have to be very slow and careful how I and what I do because of the pain. But they’re very nice and the office is very clean and the staff is very nice.

Negative experience: After waiting months for an appointment as a new patient I was told upon arrival that they no longer took my insurance. I just lost my mother and the lack of a simple condolence was not there from the very cold office clerk. I guess I'm glad I won't be a patient here.
