Negative experience: Just unprofessional to me -Didn't call me back like they told me to verify my insurance -No accountability for their mistake =They saw my daughter for xray and cleaning but was going to send her somewhere else for her dental work, why see her at all, I could of went somewhere else all together *Would not refer a friend or family member

Negative experience: I will start by saying I was happy with the work I have had done with the practice. My issue with this business is the scheduling. This is now the second time there was something wrong with my scheduled appointment and I have one been 3 times. The first time I was scheduled for a time that the Dr would not be there. This time they apparently changed the hours of operation. However my appointment was made before the change and will not be honored. They did not call me to speak about this until after I confirmed my appointment via the automated text the week before my appointment. This appointment has been set since December. Terrible, I even let them know that I would have to speak with my boss first because the appointment was scheduled for after work. The receptionist nonchalantly responded that if I could not make the time work they could not uphold it and I would need to make another appointment.
Negative experience: Dont go here! I got my Invisalign treatment here and they scheduled me wrong during my final trays. Then I tried contacting Invisalign directly and they are not reachable at all. This office is closed for 2 weeks in December which is odd. When I was finally able to reach them in January, they have nothing but apologies and what felt like excuses. They told me my retainers were included in the $5500 I paid, and now they’re saying it’s separate. Not to mention they over charged me and texted me apologizing for it. I asked if I could put it on my care credit and they said “we no longer use them because they were messing with us too much” I truly find this place unprofessional, deceiving, and lacking proper experience. Regret going here.
Negative experience: Staff here are extremely rude!!! I had the worst experience visiting this place although being a patient from almost a few years. I had an appointment originally scheduled for filings on one side and asked the front desk person to add a consulting check to one tooth that has been bothering me from few days. This painful tooth was treated by them a couple of weeks ago. Before I complete my statement on the issue, the lady at the front desk started to speak rude saying that appointment cannot be changed since it was booked for one reason and would require a cancellation fee. After a rude answer and mistreatment, she moved the appointment to consultation and was told that filling which they made originally was gone and which is why I’m feeling sensitivity on the tooth. The way I was treated during the appointment by other staff was so bad since the front desk lady communicated that way. I use to have good experience while I visited in 2020 and later and also recommended this place to few of friends and my husband but now after this, I would never recommend or visit this place any more!!! Definitely this office needs to train staff on being friendly. Note: I have no issue making change to appointment and agreeing to the cancellation fee, the concern I want to mention is with the staff on rude and strong communication made to convey about the change has bothered me

Negative experience: I was a patient of Dr picot for 10 years. It was an incredible dentistry experience the first few years but it is honestly terrible now. I left their practice for a more ethical one after my most recent visit. They charged me an insane amount out of pocket (after explicitly asking them to not run it through insurance) and left me with SEVERE nerve pain. I went in for a routine cleaning in June of 2024 and came out with unwavering pain that I am still trying to recover from today. Do not go here.
Negative experience: I had been going to Southend Dentistry for four years, primarily because of its convenient location. Unfortunately, my overall experience has been disappointing, and I recently decided to switch to a different dentist. One of the biggest issues is the constant turnover—I don’t think I ever saw the same dentist or hygienist. This inconsistency made it hard to feel confident in the care I was receiving, I prefer continuity of care. My last visit was the final straw: the hygienist appeared drowsy and unsteady, and on more than one occasion, she actually hurt me, and I typically love going to the dentist and I have great oral hygiene, on a normal basis my cleanings are painless. Although, with this hygienist at one point I had to push her off because she was falling against me. It was incredibly unprofessional and unsafe. Additionally, while the front office staff are friendly, they seem disorganized. I once received a call stating they didn’t have my insurance information, even though I’d been a patient there for years and another time I had to request my records multiple times, and kept getting the run around. It seems like there’s a constant rotation of new staff trying to get up to speed. Overall, I’m very disappointed with my experience. A dental office should feel reliable and professional, and unfortunately, this one missed the mark.
Negative experience: Absolutely terrible, STAY AWAY. I admittedly hadn't been to the dentist in a while so when I was told I needed work done I was not at all that surprised and I trusted them. I had a crown placed on a molar 6 months ago and ever since I still cannot put any pressure on that tooth or eat anything hot or cold (I had no pain or sensitivity prior). I've had 2 fillings they placed fall out and my other fillings are so tender and painful to any type of pressure I can barely chew food on the teeth the fillings were placed on. I went to 2-3 follow-up appointments about my crown causing me pain and they made adjustments and it made no difference, still terrible pain. Against my better judgement I had another crown placed on the other side of my mouth and same issue, terrible pain and heat/cold sensitivity that I did not have before. I finally went and got a second opinion/consultation and I am now paying enormous amounts of money to fix the work I already paid enormous amounts of money on. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
Negative experience: They broke my bottom bracket and told me that I could either pay $400 to replace it or $150 to remove it. Needless to say, I’m looking for a new dentist. A couple other issues I’ve had: —> I’ve seen 3 different dentists the 4-5 times I’ve gone —> They always offer me fluoride as if it’s free without mentioning that it would be a $50 out of pocket charge. When I ask, they then tell me it’s $50.
Fantastic experience: I visited Southend Dentistry today. It was my first time there. The receptionist greeted me, and they were kind and friendly. I was asked to complete my patient form and what concerns me today? The dentist I saw today was excellent and showed expertise and skills in his work. He listened to my concerns, and figure out what I needed. I would highly recommend this dental place and would bring my children. The dental hygiene, she was kind and gentle, and all the staff was amiable.
Negative experience: The new dentist isn't very nice and the hygienist hurt me and tipped my chair back upside-down so the blood was rushing to my head. She threatened me with a root canal if i didnt pay for a $400 cavit fill right then and I told her i coulsnt afford it. I stick with the male dentist because he is much nicer and always super understanding and kind.

Negative experience: I have been going to this office for several years. I’m not sure if the ownership has changed hands, but the customer service here has been terrible lately. I had a scheduled cleaning in July. It was cancelled after it was already confirmed late minute, and moved to a date 2MONTHS later. September comes around, I again confirmed the appointment twice, and the day before it gets cancelled again. I attempt to give them one more chance, I am again rescheduled almost 2 months later. I received a test last week to confirm. I received a test that this is confirmed an scheduled. Then several days later I am told to that they would have to reschedule again. Not a good way to treat customers. I do not recommend.
Negative experience: Anyone looking for a new dentist office in charlotte I would stay far, far away from this place. My first visit was Spring of 2023, where I had composite bonding done. I was told my insurance may cover some of this treatment however I had to pay for the full cost upfront and afterwards it would be filed and I would be compensated. I had never heard of having to pay the whole thing up front- but I decided to trust them. It was never filed with insurance. On top of that, when I expressed my concerns about my composite bonding and how I was unhappy with the results & I was told “that’s just how it was done. The only solution is veneers.” When my teeth were in no state of need for veneers in the first place & my concern area of why I got the composite bonding done in the first place wasn’t even the issue I had with the final product. Fast forward to my cleaning in spring 2024, I was then told that I needed 9 filings. Yes 9. I once again trusted the professionals telling me I needed that many & payed a large amount of money to have all of them fixed. I was told to pay before the procedure. This time around for my 6 month checkup I decided to try a new dentist, and I’m so happy I did. Ironically, I get a message EIGHT months after my appointment with south end that I somehow still owe them money. They said my insurance didn’t cover the whole portion of my visit when I got NINE fillings! Not only did they take advantage of me by telling me I needed 9 fillings but here we are 8 months later still wanting to squeeze more money out of me. I asked what the reason was for the delay, and they blamed it on a new owner that occurred in 2023. So something that occurred LAST year has affected the billing of appointments that have occurred in 2024?? so disorganized. They said quote “communication has been difficult with the previous owner” but when I expressed my concerns about insurance never even being filed here in the past, they offered me the old owners email. If this new ownership can’t even have a thorough communication with them, how would I stand a chance as a patient seeking my money back? This whole experience has caused me a lot of frustration and wishing I would have never went here in the first place. The billing department is so out of touch & this has truly been a nightmare for me. Never realized dentists were so money hungry until I left my family dentist when I moved here.
Negative experience: When I moved to Charlotte and found this office, I was thrilled! Dr. Sanders and all of the hygienists were absolutely AMAZING! I paid for some dental work in advance and waited a few months to get it done. When I was ready to move forward, I was told I had to pay again because the office had changed owners. They said that once they went to court and got the money back from the previous owner, I would be refunded. Despite this, I continued to go there for my cleanings, expecting the hygienist to do my cleaning and Dr. Sanders to do my exam. Today, I called to confirm whether they were still in my network, and the office manager informed me, without prior notice, that I would be seeing another doctor. Dr. Sanders was a major reason I chose this office, so a staff change should have been communicated. The manager admitted they hadn’t informed me, and then added there would be a $50 fee for short-notice cancellations. Communication is key, and how an office handles adversity matters. I will not be going back. I still have an $18 balance despite not having received the services I’ve already paid for.
Negative experience: My one visit with this practice has resulted in repeated errors and poor communication that demonstrate a shocking lack of competence, particularly from the billing and administrative departments. I received incorrect text messages claiming that I had appointments or had received treatments, which I did not. Just recently, I received a blank bill stating I have a balance due of $295.50. I contacted the office and found this was due to Southend Dentistry's failure to file the claim with my insurance within a "reasonable" time frame. It took them an entire year to handle a routine task, which speaks volumes about the inefficiency of their operations. It’s unacceptable for a healthcare provider to mishandle billing to such an extent, leaving patients like myself with the responsibility of sorting through the mess they created. I expected professionalism and attention to detail from a dental office, but what I experienced was sheer incompetence and frustration. I cannot recommend Southend Dentistry to anyone seeking reliable and professional care.
Negative experience: FYI they give people free flouride for a five star review so that is the only reason they have any positive reviews. I have so many issues with this place and I NEVER write negative reviews. Everyone I talk to about this place has the same problems so beware. 1. They talked me into getting “preventative” work on my teeth and completely destroyed them. I wasn’t able to chew on my left side for four months and I still have issues that did not exist before they worked on my teeth. I should have gotten a second opinion but I had never had issues with a dentist before so I was naive. 2. They called to reschedule my appointments every single time I had one either the day before or the day of. The dentist admitted to me they did this just so he could go home early. If a patient wants to reschedule though, it has to be 24 hours in advance or they get charged. 3. My dentist changed at least four times without any notification so I had no idea who I was seeing. 4. The people who work there are so dismissive. They just sit around talking all day and don’t care what they are doing or talking about even in front of clients. 5. With all the issues I had, the last time I left, I confirmed I had no outstanding payments and moved to a new dentistry. It’s been since February and last week I got the email saying they weren’t going to send me any more cleaning reminders. A few days after that I somehow got a $600 bill from them that claimed to be 90 days passed due. The first time ever seeing this bill at all. I called them and after 20 minutes they changed it to be $180. They are saying they did work on a tooth I did not give them permission to work on and that I have to pay for it. I asked to talk to the manager and no one had returned my calls. This place is an absolute nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: I recently began going to Southend Dentistry and they have become my new Dentistry! The whole team was very nice and helpful and I'm pleased with the work I've received so far. Dr. Sanders and Ana make a great team I appreciate the laughs and the work they do.
Fantastic experience: Recently, I had excellent bridgework done on my upper teeth at Southend Dentistry. My smile is beautiful now. Dr. Sanders and his lovely assistant, Anna took great care of me. Dr.Sanders informed me that I had options and predicted that I would be pleased with the outcome. The pleasant vibe in the office is one I have never experienced before. While they worked, Dr. Sanders played the music of my choice. And he kept me comfortable during the process. When I I was scheduled to receive my permanent bridge, I arrived and was greeted by the office receptionists. Once I was in the chair, I started to become excited. Dr.Sanders hoped I would be pleased with the results. And I couldn’t have been happier about my new beautiful smile, especially as my birthday approaches. When I moved to Southend about 2 years ago, I needed a dentist but could only rely on the reviews. So I chose Southend Dentistry. Dr. Sanders is so much more than a young, cutting edge - expert dentist. He has a kind, caring, cheerful personality, and relieves you of any fear or anxiety. It makes a big difference, during dental treatment. I am so blessed to have found him!!! Thank you Southend Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I came to SouthEnd Dentistry as a new patient this week after dealing with severe pain for days. They were able to get me in for an appointment quickly. The staff there were all wonderful and welcoming. Dr. Sanders and Ana took such great care of me during my procedure. I was extremely nervous and in a lot of pain and they made me feel at ease right away. They made sure I was comfortable and asked me what music we’d listen to. Having a say in the music choice may seem like a small thing but it was immensely helpful in calming my anxiety. I am very happy with the level of care I received and felt instant relief of pain afterward. I can’t recommend this practice/team enough.

Negative experience: I went to this office back in 2021 and will never go back! The Latina receptionist was very rude and dismissive. Dr. Picot was also rude and aggressive, to say the least. Awful experience, would not recommend. I wish there was a zero star option.
Fantastic experience: I love this dental office! From the person who answered the phone, to the dentist who handled my treatment. Once I expressed how much pain I was in, the receptionist (cannot remember her name) advised me to come in asap, which was a huge relief. When I arrived, I was checked in & seen within 10-15 minutes. Dr. Zachary Williams was very patient, kind and even funny. He handled my tooth extraction with extreme caution and care. I highly recommend this office! The only issue I had was with parking…the receptionist asked did I need to validate parking, and I didn’t think I needed to so I said “no”. Only to find a parking ticket waiting for me when I got back to my car lol.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vu is the best dentist in town. If you scare of getting numb in the dentist office, then this place is for you. Ask for Dr.Vu then you will never feel that needle poking. I used to hate going to the dentist, I still do but a lot less now.

Negative experience: After using this dentist office for a few years with no issues, my most recent experience was horrific. 1) After receiving text, email and phone call appointment reminders daily for 3 weeks straight up to my appointment date, I arrived on time and they were 30 minutes behind schedule. 2)place was visible not very clean , even the eye goggles were dirty which I declined using. 3) staff was rude, condescending and unprofessional a) only one person interacting with patients (on the phone and in office)while the other 12 pretended to be busy b) the 1st hygienist had an attitude and decided she wanted to be heavy handed with the cleaning instrument, the 2nd hygienist was nice but very clumsy with the polishing tool, the dentist tried to recommend $$1000s of work that I will surely get a second opinion on, but certainly won’t be returning to her place of business. I go to the dentist religiously every six months and never had any issues with just a cleaning. Not sure what is going on at this dentist office but the quality and service experience has deteriorated. Again, I will never return there and certainly won’t recommend anyone else using this dentist office!!!
Fantastic experience: I totally recommend SouthEnd Dentistry. Dr Sanders and Ana made my first root canal experience wonderful. I literally fell asleep during the procedure and they were very accommodating. I literally got my root canal and crown done in the same appointment. I could not be any happier with my experience at SouthEnd Dentistry. Totally recommend 10/10!!!!
Negative experience: After a fairly normal experience having my teeth cleaned Dr. Williams did my exam and said I had cavities without explaining. I walked to check out assuming it was one or two but was then given a piece of paper listing thousands of dollars of work I needed. Thinking this was insane I requested my records and got two second opinions - both stating no work needed done at all. They tried to put 2 crowns and 4 new fillings on my teeth when none of it was necessary. This place is scamming people.
Fantastic experience: I have some dental anxiety and have never felt more welcome and at ease during a dental appointment! I came in for a new patient appointment and ended up needing quite a bit of work done. Dr. Williams and Luis were willing to make some time in order to get everything taken care of at one time. They were quick, knowledgeable, and kept everything light-hearted during an objectively not so fun bit of dental work. I also interacted with two wonderful dental hygienists and the reception staff, all of which were kind and helpful! Side note: I had 3 dental procedures and a deep clean less than 24 hours ago and am dealing with zero pain :)
Negative experience: Would not recommend coming to this office. I’ve recently transferred dental offices and have had to have fillings redone that were done here less than a year ago. I experienced soreness from the fillings that didn’t go away but after they were redone properly, I have no issues. I was told certain procedures would cost a certain amount then upon arrival, they changed. When I called to let them know I had transferred dental offices, all I got was “No problem” then hung up. Not even an offer to transfer dental records to my new office and no thank you for my business. Ultimately, do yourself a favor and consider elsewhere when in search of a dentist.
Fantastic experience: Doctor Sanders is one of the best dentist I ever experienced, he played music of my choice to better sooth me and handled everything with an exceedingly high level of professionalism and knowledge. My surgery went smoothly and I would recommend him to ANYONE! 5stars!
Fantastic experience: I recently moved from Phoenix, Arizona and I have had dental work in Arizona and Texas for years! I have NEVER experienced a routine cleaning like the one I received! My DA (I am forgetting her name, but she recently moved here in November, too) took her time, talked, laughed, and guided me through the process. I received superior customer service from start to finish! I am so happy we chose SouthEnd dentistry! If I could share ten stars, I would!

Negative experience: I visited this dentist a few years back and I will never forget my experience. It actually traumatized me. One of the Dentists got extremely rude when I declined safety goggles. He was very unprofessional and I hope he has learned how to handle patients better. I go to the Dentist in another part of NC and I am extremely happy! I will never return to this suite and I DO NOT recommend this establishment.
Fantastic experience: Arrived for my appointment a few minutes late due to the lovely Charlotte traffic! They were able to get me right back to start my new patient exam. Anna was very polite and worked quickly on my X-rays and scanning my mouth. Then, my hygienist, Marina (maybe, she was Russian and had a mask on) probed my gums and checked the depths of my gums. She did really well and made this process go by quickly! Lastly, Dr. Zac Williams came and examined my teeth and discussed possible courses of action to help with a broken tooth and a couple cavities. Will definitely be back and look forward to making this my home dentist office!
Fantastic experience: UPDATED REVIEW - I had to get some dental work done and wasn’t looking forward to it. It was EARLY in the morning, but, let me tell you. Dr. Sanders did not disappoint with the appointment! He had all the 90s R&B jams playing! And it wasn’t just the song, no ma’am, no sir. He had the music videos on so I could watch, when possible, while he worked. Definitely had me in a groove. Oh, but that’s not all. Dr. Sanders gave a concert as well. He was singing every song, while not missing a beat with his work. I was thoroughly entertained. And yes, he was “hitting” those notes, . Overall, Dr. Sanders definitely made the visit comfortable, fun and engaging. And, to top it all off, I didn’t feel a thing during the procedure. It was quite painless. If you need work done, or just need a dentist period, consider Dr. Sanders. —————————————————————— Today was my first visit to SouthEnd Dentistry after moving from the DC area. After having to leave an amazing dentist behind, I was hard pressed to find a dentist office that would be just as good. I can honestly say SouthEnd Dentistry is hands down the best dentist office around! From the time I walked in, through my consultation and service, everyone was warm, welcoming and explained what was taking place each step of the way. I am excited that a Google search yielded such great results. I will definitely be sticking with SouthEnd Dentistry and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: My visit to SouthEnd Dentistry today was one of the best dental visits I've ever had. I generally avoid dentist offices but Dr. Williams took care of my dental needs and provided the reassurance I needed to put me at ease during my procedure.
Fantastic experience: I wanted to take a few moments to share the outstanding experience I had during my recent visit to South End Dentistry. I am praising God for guiding me to Dr. Sanders! I discovered Dr. Sanders through his professional affiliations and the local news, and I can confidently say that he is a true embodiment of all the positive things I have heard about him from others. He is passionate about his work and is ethical, honest, and down-to-earth. I can't say enough about his assistant, sweet Miss Julia. She is such a compassionate soul who also possesses a love and zeal for what she does. She and Dr. Sanders work very well together, and their teamwork contributes to the overall professionalism of the office. Additionally, there was a relaxed yet enthusiastic spirit that permeated throughout the entire office. I want to give a special shout-out to Ms. Karen for her beautiful smile and eagerness to assist me. (And by the way, I'm not biased, but I've never met an unpleasant Karen before!) Lastly, I want to extend a special thanks to the front desk staff for their professionalism and efficiency and say that I highly recommend South End Dentistry and Dr. Sanders for your dental needs!
Negative experience: The last two appointments were running severely late. I had to leave to go back to work and reschedule my appointment because 30 min after my appointment should have started, I was still in the waiting room. Last time they were running 45 minutes behind but I needed my teeth cleaned and didn’t want to have to reschedule so I waited. There are plenty of other dentist office that are respectful of your time and get you in within 10 min of your appointment time.

Fantastic experience: I’m very late to leave this review but better late then never. I went in about a month ago for some dental work(wisdom extraction) . I cannot remember her name(dental assistant )but I believe she was Russian she absolutely the sweetest. She and Dr. Sanders were very professional and informative about everything this was going to happen. Although I was very nervous and afraid, Dr. Sanders was able to help calm my nerves. Him, the lovely variety of music as well as the DA that held my hand while I cried(I’m a big baby). Again she was the absolute sweetest and I appreciate her for that. The extraction was done quickly, painless and only felt a little pressure and I was good to go. Thank you South End Dentistry for everything.!
Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. My experiences with Southend Dentistry frustrating and uncomfortable, to say the least. Dr. Picot has proven to be untrustworthy and unreliable, and has demonstrated a distinct lack of compassion for patients. Communication - Their office seems to suffer from a severe lack of communication. Before each appointment, I would receive an excessive number of phone calls, often confirming random details repeatedly. This lack of coordination within the office created unnecessary confusion. Deposit - Note that they require a 50% deposit when booking appointments. To my surprise, on several occasions, they attempted to collect this prior paid balance at the time of service, raising questions about their transparency and attention to detail. Timeliness - During my visits, I was asked to wait for extended periods, with one instance lasting over 20 minutes, for a post-appointment consultation with the dentist. Unfortunately, the experience in the consultation room was equally discomforting. Dr. Picot communicated in a condescending tone and applied high-pressure sales techniques to promote additional services. Quality of care - Without divulging details of personal health, I will say the quality of patient care I received was severely lacking. I also felt pressure to take a prescription drug (prior to a procedure) that I did not feel was safe or necessary. This experience was concerning and, in my opinion, reflective of their poor professional standards. My experience with Southend Dentistry was marked by communication issues, lack of transparency, uncomfortable consultations, and poor quality care. I would not recommend this practice to anybody - there are plenty of trustworthy, reliable, and patient-centered dentists in the area.

Dr. Picot hasn't been part of the practice for quite some time now and naturally with new owners much of the staff and standards have changed drastically since your last visit with us a few years ago. Fantastic experience: The team at Southend Dentistry are amazing! I recently went for a crown with Dr. Sanders. He made the procedure as pleasant as possible. He first lets you pick the music to listen to during the procedure. He even sang a little karaoke during the procedure. His voice sounds like a mixture of Fergie and Jesus. I had no pain during or after the procedure. Super great experience!
Negative experience: I have severe TMJ that I am self conscious about and that gives me daily problems. This dentist not only made fun of me for having it, but he told me it was 'gross' and it 'freaked him out' when my jaw got stuck during a cleaning. Instead of offering helpful solutions and discussing it with me he instead tried repeatedly to push Invisalign (which is known to potentially worsen TMJ!). I will never go back here and my boyfriend who recommended them in the first place was not happy I was treated this way. He has also chosen to return to his previous dentist because of it, even though it is across town from where we live. **This doesn't even include the pain I'm in a year later after getting fillings. The fillings I got made my teeth super super sensitive and I went in over and over to get it corrected but it only made it worse every time. ** To be fair to current management this review is for Dr. Sanders and the practice prior to the apparent management changeover **

Positive experience: I’ll start by saying I have nothing but praise for the visits themselves, knowledgeable and gentle hygienists plus all staff members have always been pleasant. The rating comes from the awful communication. On several occasions I’ve had to email and/or call numerous times to get any type of response. There’s no point in having a voicemail box if I’m following up on one request for scheduling/ general information two to three weeks later because I’ve gotten no response. Have a question for the dentist pre or post procedure you forgot while at the office? Good luck, you’ll be told someone will call back over and over but no one ever calls.

Negative experience: I contemplated writing this review because I have received good service in the past. I've always enjoyed Dr. Sanders' upbeat attitude as well as a few of the former hygienists. However, the last few times I've been serviced, I have not been pleased. The first time happened when I was misquoted pricing at the end of a service. I was first given a price of $85 then when I went to pay, the price had increased over $200. Although I did not appreciate the dismissive attitude during my initial inquiry regarding the price change, another front desk employee stepped in, further explained the error without seeming agitated, and offered a sincere apology for what I had experienced. For that reason I felt comfortable remaining on as a patient. However, after my experience yesterday, I am working to continue my dental care elsewhere. I contacted the office 10 minutes after they opened and left a voicemail informing them that I was not feeling well and needed to reschedule my twelve o'clock appointment as a precaution. I explained that I was unsure of what was making me sick but out of respect for the staff and other patients I wanted to reschedule. I did not receive a call back and opted to call again approximately an hour before my appointment. I spoke to Brittany and informed her of the voicemail I left earlier. Her response was that if I rescheduled, I would be charged a $50 fee because I did not notify the office within 48 hours. I explained that I was not aware that I would be ill 48 hours ago. I inquired if I would still be charged although I was sick. She confirmed I would be. She did not display any compassion or offer any other solutions. Another young lady, Anna, called back after just listening to my voicemail. At that time, I expressed concern about coming in when I noted on the pre-check form that I was experiencing flu-like symptoms. I asked her to speak with the manager and even the doctor because I believed that was a poor judgement call and I truly did not feel well. She reported that Brittany was the manager and that the doctor (I'm not sure which doctor) confirmed for me to come in. At that point, I was disgusted with the lack of empathy from any of the staff members. I appeared for my appointment solely to avoid being charged the fee, but I could not proceed with the cleaning due to my body aching and beginning to shake. In addition to not feeling well, the interactions from both Brittany and Anna gave me the impression that the office cares more about money or proving a point rather than the care of their patients or staff. I enjoyed SouthEnd Dentistry because of what they stood for but unfortunately, yesterday changed that.

Fantastic experience: Hi my name is Jean-Luc I just started going to this Dentist, I just want to say, Britney at the front desk AND behind the scenes was and still is extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable, and professional. Very friendly made me feel comfortable! Dr Sanders was very professional and even fun! They let me watch Netflix while I had my teeth extracted!

She also gave me great info and let me make decisions that were right for me, and you could tell she knew what she was doing when she put those scary tools in your mouth. Fantastic experience: Had my first visit yesterday and everyone was so nice! Tess helped me getting my payment plan started and Karen was my dental hygienist who talked me through every step of what was being done. Positive experience: The Dentist are great. But front desk is really lazy when sending information. I needed a X-ray sent to the oral surgeon and the front desk at the oral surgeon office had to call them again while I was there (after already contacting them before my appointment) and explain to them they need my X-ray so I won’t be charged and they still did not send it to them. Now I have to pay out of pocket due to them taking their time to send my information.

Fantastic experience: Talk about prestige services! I found SouthEnd Dentistry on Instagram, the reviews were great. So I decided to book an appointment, it was more than I expected. My first visit was really impressive, the ambiance was superb and the staff was so nice and welcoming. On my follow-up visits, it was like coming home to family. Brooke and the other ladies at the front desk are so pleasant and professional, addresses you by name and at the end of your service, talks with you privately. Dr. Sanders (big brother) makes you feel comfortable and not like being in those other kind of dental office; he did a fantastic job. He was keen and proficient in getting a perfect result from the set plan we started with; and Claudia was like a cousin who understood me; she ensures my comfort while she execute her duties and did a great job too, following her tips and tricks got me to where I need to be. Negative experience: I have a genuine real fear of the dentist, I appreciate my dental hygienist Claudia.. She's gentle and understanding, and yet still performs with excellence. Update Today 3/8/23 Since becoming a new patient at this dentist office, my first review pretty much still stands. Over the past couple of months I've had a few visits, and thanks to Claudia my fear of the dentist has calmed significantly. Today however, my experience was a different. I was scheduled in JANUARY to see Claudia for March 8. Unfortunately, when I arrived - Claudia was out of the office. No biggie - it happens. I softly and kindly explained "Man I wished someone would have told me that on yesterday when you called to confirm my appointment, as I would have rescheduled then. But again, no biggie - people being out of the office is completely a normal thing. I'm willing to reschedule. Apparently, there was an issue "in house" with the request to reschedule as Dr. Bradford came out and explained that there was a wonderful temp there who does an amazing job and can see me right away. I was not comfortable with this, explained to him immediately my preference with Claudia due to my fear of dentist, anxiety... blah blah blah... He then comes back and further explains that the time has already been set aside for me for today and that again the temp does wonderful work. Well Sir, I too have set time aside, rearranged my work schedule, etc to be here on time for Claudia. I explained- I have built a rapport with Claudia and prefer only her, and she's the only dental hygienist I've seen since being there and because of the relationship she and I have built - It's really hard for me to trust anyone else. I even reminded him that I explained my fear personally to him in December during my initial exam consultation. None of this seemed to matter. He straight dismissed and didn't acknowledge ANY of that. I felt as If I was the problem. He mentioned that it wasn't on there that I preferred Claudia & asked did I tell them that. I explained In fact, I never have to and that normally say when calling to confirm " I have you scheduled for Time: Date: and Person. That didn't happen yesterday, but I did say I've said this over the phone before about preferring Claudia. He then explains he will have to listen to calls and check it out. Um - ok??? As if I would have a reason to lie, and if checking that out will somehow make a difference in me having to reschedule today. But - Ok. I'm hoping he really does listen to the calls. Because in January when they called me and attempted to bring me in earlier with a different hygienist for my deep cleaning because someone had rescheduled it was that call I was like - OH NO! I will wait for Claudia. I'm not sure if I said at this point I don't want to see anyone ever but Claudia - but If I know ME - and my fear - I'm sure there was a good indication in that call that would have prompted them to leave such a note indicating such. If that's their protocol. So, again - I hope he does listen to all my calls to find this one in particular. Not that it would change anything. What's my point in updating this review? I want to be heard, and I know South End Dentistry reads reviews. It's unfortunate that I feel this is the only way I can be heard. I've even referred 1 of my friends and my father here to this dentist as well. They don't accept Dads insurance, so I was going to pay out of pocket for him to experience their great work. Sucks... One of the most important things for me as a 40 yr old educated Black woman is that when I intentionally seek black owned business, is that I'm treated well by all I interact with. That not only am I expecting him to remain committed to his long term focused approach of saving patients time and money - he's done the absolute opposite of that for me. As I rescheduled with the staff for a May appointment - though I have been waiting since January for this appointment. I mentioned I may not be returning. Which means IF I choose to do so, I'll be spending more time & money. If I could add more, I would.

Negative experience: I've been coming to this dentist for a few years and have had a good experience. The staff are all very nice and pleasant! However, I went in to have a cavity filled today and it was not a good experience. Dr. Sanders, while numbing me, said something to the effect of "this will be less than 10 minutes." Then, when actively drilling in my mouth, was asked by another hygienist to go talk to someone else and he said "just give me one second" finished, and then said, "see, that was less than 10 minutes, wasn't it?" and left the room. I had to tell my hygienist (who was VERY nice), that the tooth he had just worked on didn't feel right and it was rough and sharp, and she agreed. I guess he left the office early (which he mentioned he wanted to do) because another very nice woman helped to fix it. However, now that I'm home, it's still very much bothersome. It feels like something was not done correctly, and the rushing didn't help. Will be finding a new dentist to fix this. Appointment scheduling is very pushy, ease up on that.

Fantastic experience: Last week I had a dental emergency that left me in the worse pain of my life! I found Dr. Picot’s office on Google when I searched for emergency dentists and I’m so happy that I did! He was able to see me the same day and complete my extraction procedure the following morning. His technique made the procedure so quick and I am so relieved! I will be a returning patient of his moving forward!

Fantastic experience: Another great visit. Dr. Picot’s calm chair-side manner is comforting, even during extensive procedures. His assistant, Ana, is warm and friendly, attentive to even the smallest details like wiping debris off your face and applying Vaseline liberally to prevent cracked or chapped lips. She delivers all the requested instruments to Dr. Picot for a smooth operation. I also experienced Nelli for a cleaning and she was wonderful. She was thorough and informative. Dr. Sanders did a quick exam after my cleaning and he was so nice. And finally, the front desk staff, Jasmine and Victoria, are welcoming, friendly and efficient. The office is immaculate, nicely decorated with state-of-the-art equipment. My only concern has been understanding the billing documentation, and getting through on the phone. My overall experience has been great, and I’ve already recommended them to friends and family. I’ll be back — my teeth are important to me and I trust Dr. Picot and his staff to keep me smiling!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to SouthEnd since November 2022 and I've continuously had great experiences every time. From the front desk staff to the DAs and Dr. Sanders, everyone has been extremely kind, friendly and helpful! Dr. Sanders is always funny and friendly when I get to see him. He also offered me some great encouraging advice the first time I came in about being grateful to be able to afford dental services My first visit I met Claudia, one of the techs and she was amazing as well. Also, Victoria at the front desk was recently superrrr helpful this week! The other woman at the front desk with the locs(I haven't got her name yet) is always friendly and I always compliment her style I will continue to come back and recommend to my friends!

Fantastic experience: I’m a little late with my review but I would like to say that every time I come here I feel at home. The staff is very polite and professional. I had an appointment feb 1st and I was in and out. I think the dental hygienist I had name is Nellie. She did a great job , wasn’t too rough and made sure I was ok throughout the whole process. Whenever I get asked the question “ do you know a good dentist” I always recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Here is my honest review of SouthEnd Dentistry: Facility- State of the art. The environment, from the soothing contemporary music, to the seats, to the building itself is well kept, well decorated, and very comfortable. Staff- What stood out was how upbeat and full of smiles everyone is. This seems to rub off on the patients as most seem to be in a pleasant mood, myself included. The MVP of Dr. Picot’s staff for me is a lovely young lady named Ana. She has been kind, attentive, humorous, and takes great pride in her work while making sure I was as comfortable as possible. She deserves a raise!!! Dr. Picot- I avoid the dentist like Covid-19. The only dentist I will go to is Dr. Picot; he’s that good. Enough is said about his skill set, which is out of this world, so I’d like to give a sightly different review. What brought me into his office was his skillset but what brings me back is the type of person he is. I walk into SouthEnd Dentistry as a patient and leave feeling like a valued friend. His bedside manner is incrediby soothing and the way he engages makes you feel heard and valued. I could not recommend Dr. Picot more and would give him and his staff 10 stars if I could. Fantastic experience!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Picot and the staff (Jasmine and Victoria -front desk) at SouthEnd Dentistry. I originally came in for an emergency appointment for a tooth that was incorrectly serviced at another office and causing me unbearable pain. Dr. Picot and his assistant Tess (I believe that’s her name) were great and ensured to walk me through everything that was happening and next steps. I had to have a root canal and crown done to rectify my issue. In the following days, I came back for my new patient exam and was cared for by the dental hygienist named Emily. She was amazing as well and really friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed being serviced by her. The office environment is exquisite and has a modern flair. Very welcoming! My favorite is the messaging chairs and the overhead tv’s that you’re able to watch while being serviced. I highly recommend this dental office to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Picot and his entire staff have been so wonderful since I started coming to South End Dentistry! Every single person is personable and friendly, which I think is very important when choosing a dental office as sometimes it can be an intimidating experience for some. Dr. Picot is very understanding, relatable, and always makes great conversation to make me feel comfortable. When I got my fillings, he made sure to check on me through out the process, even though it was painless and I got to just hung out and watch Netflix! The hygienists are also super knowledgeable and sure to make you feel comfortable during the process. Even the ladies at the front desk are super accommodating and sweet. I always can find an appointment when needed and they are super flexible, as well, which is super great for a Dentist and can get you out so much faster then any dentist I have ever been to. Lastly the office is super well maintained and in an amazing location if you live in South End. I’m glad I chose Dr. Picot and his team!

Fantastic experience: Lost crown replaced the same day! It was a front tooth that needed to be fixed and although the office was busy, Dr Picot did a beautiful job with blending the tooth color and shape to my other teeth. I was able to enjoy the Thanksgiving holidays without being toothless. Ana, his dental assistant is wonderful!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Sanders was great! He really takes his time to make sure that I’m comfortable during my visits. Even though he’s a dentist he made me feel relaxed during my visits. Some dentist just come in do the job and then leave the rest for the hygienist. That’s not the case with Dr.Sanders. I recently visited him for a root canal and he did a great job with minimal pain. I have had a root canal before and it was nothing like this treatment. The staff are amazing and make sure they provide you with impeccable service as well. During my consultation with Brooke she made sure she provided me with all the options possible that would fit my budget. I didn’t feel pressured especially with the way dental benefits are setup now for companies. Brooke was very relatable, funny and I left feeling like I was very taken care of. Fantastic experience: At 55 years old, I’ve always been apprehensive about going to the dentist, most of my dental experience has been from my career in the military, and it was rough. So, needless to say, my teeth were not in the best of shape, which also intimidated me about going. Well, thank God for Southend Dentistry and Doctors Justin Sanders!!! From my very first visit Dr. Sanders made me feel welcome, and comfortable to be there. His professionalism and office presence were exemplary, to say the least. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, and the office is run like a well oiled machine. But the best part is the dental work that Dr. Sanders provides!! I’ve had 2 root canals, 2 fillings, and 2 crowns plus a deep cleaning, and all were virtually pain free!! Even weeks after my procedures, I have 0 pain!! I will continuously use Dr. Sanders and the Southend Dentistry team for any and all my dental needs, my wife and children are now becoming patients of the wonderful Dental group!! I am extremely satisfied!! 5 stars, if 5 is the very best!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Picot and his team are amazing and efficient. They squeezed me in 3 weeks ago when a crown came off. We discovered that the root canal failed (done by another dentist) and I needed an implant. He carefully explained the 3 step process that spans over several months. Part one, the extraction, happened yesterday. It was the fastest dental appointment ever!! Dr Picot has been my dentist since I moved here and he should be yours too!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a crown crack that I needed fixed, but did not have a dentist that I had established care yet within the Charlotte area. SouthEnd was able to squeeze me in the next day, and fix it that same day! Brooke at the front desk was super helpful and welcoming, and also made me laugh at stressful time. Dr. Sanders did an amazing job and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The hygienist did a great job and was so friendly. Overall, the whole team made the experience flawless. Thank you all!!

Fantastic experience: Alright let's start with the front desk Miss Marcia she is a beautiful and very understanding person even when over the phone she actually tries to listen to you and make sure that she understands your problem in full before she does anything. Doctor Sanders hes very calm you're calm and reassuring to let you know that you are in good hands and that you will be taking care of with the best care possible he is also the reason why my anxiety wasn't as high as it was the last time that I came. Doctor Picot, Tess and Anna you're great when dealing with me only because I know I'm complicated when it comes to needles and my anxiety went through the roof and yall helped me get through it and I will forever be thankful for that. I will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I never thought that I would ever say I enjoy going to the dentist, but from the dentist to each of the dental assistants and hygienist that have provided service to me, all were wonderfully attentive. The environment is impeccable and very relaxing. The office provides a calmness that I had not experienced before in a dental office. The added touches such the design of the office space, wall color, music and watching tv while they work in your teeth add to the calming effect and the music and tv during services help the time pass. This is the best experience I’ve had at a dentist! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at South End Dentistry!! I can not say enough positive things about the people working there as well as the atmosphere. Tehia my hygienist made me feel comfortable and at ease. She did a great job of keeping me informed throughout the process. Dr. Sanders was so personable and gentle. I appreciate his positive approach. Brooke the treatment coordinator was SO friendly, helpful, and took time to build a relationship with me to make sure I understood everything. These three did an amazing job at keeping me informed every step of way. I have never had a dental experience like this one (trust me I am someone who does not like going to the dentist). Fantastic experience: First of all I want to express that I recently moved to Charlotte NC from Michigan October 1, 2021 and I am so very fortunate to have found this professional team of excellence at SouthEnd Dentistry in Charlotte NC. Dr Bradford Picot, Dr Sanders and the staff was a blessing to find. Yesterday I had a root canal service completed by the awesome professional staff, Dr Justin Sanders and his assistants Devin and Ebony. When I walked in the surgery room I was greeted with great smiles and positive energy that immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. The facilities is beautifully decorated and designed and made me feel like I was at a five star resort. I was asked what type of music I like to listen to and I chose to listen to gospel music and it made me even more relaxed. Dr Justin Sanders service was outstanding!!! He made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure by asking me how I felt and demonstrating to me his excellent knowledge and patient care services. His assistants Devin and Ebony were so very polite and courteous and made sure that I was comfortable from the time I walked in the office and throughout my procedure. It was so very evident to me that they have a team environment and value their customer service. Also although I was given a prescription for the pain that I could have experienced from that major procedure I did not have to take anything to relieve any pain. I just think they did such an awesome job with this major surgery that I was not experiencing any discomfort and the cosmetic of the tooth looks like brand new!!!! Thank you so very much Dr Sanders, Devin and Ebony for your outstanding service. Feeling extremely blessed

Fantastic experience: Got to be one of the best dental offices in the world. Traveling in Charlotte for work and experienced lots of dental pain. Booked an appointment online for the next day, they were really booked but still began the process of everything I needed that same day. Immediately, I needed two fillings, a root canal, two wisdom teeth extractions. Got it all taken care of probably within a few weeks’ time. Between Devin, Karen, Ebony, and of course without question, Dr. Sanders, they all took special care with me and I wish I could make this my forever dental care home.

Fantastic experience: My experience here at south end dentistry has been nothing but amazing. Devin & Dr sanders made me feel comfortable during my visit.. I was nervous at first but they broke down my procedure step by step… Dr sanders & Devin did a great job with my root canal… The staff is very professional & Friendly…. Fantastic experience: My daughter and I have been members of this practice for sometime now . We always receive quality care with our dental work . However, today I'm most happy about the results from my 6 month smiles ortho. I had a small gap top and bottom now my teeth are absolutely amazing. Perfect actually . Fantastic experience: The staff here is truly amazing and take pride in customer satisfaction. My hygienist Emily is the best hygienist I've ever had! So gentle with my teeth since my gums are sensitive and I'm a big baby. But she made me feel soo comfortable it was a very good experience I felt not pain when she was cleaning my teeth. Fantastic experience: Dr. Sanders and his Assistant Devin was amazing and very professional! I’ve had a bad experience with getting my teeth done in the past and they reassured me that it wasn’t going to happen here and it didn’t! I was so nervous but, it went away. Positive experience: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!$ The technician are friendly and helpful they break info down on a level that’s easy to understand, accurate and makes you feel like your concerns are heard. I would come back for the technicians or people that clean my teeth. I originally came here because I was referred by someone else about how diverse the staff is. I had Karen and she did a fabulous job. But that office staff, could use a little more training on the appropriate way to talk to clientele. The office staff is hard to reach, disorganized, condescending and rude. They treat you like you work on their schedule and seem to have very little understanding in regards to getting things done at a speed that’s right for you. They definitely will pressure you. I’ve never felt so rushed, not because the procedures are important, which they are but because they want the money. It’s like they are talking you that they need to get things done this upcoming week as if people don’t have lives with jobs or other bills to take care of. That doesn’t seem to resonate with them, and why would it they don’t care because it’s not coming out of their pocket. They smile when they talk to you but their tone and wording is dismissive, condescending and doesn’t make you feel like you’re anything more than a wallet to them. I went to them because I thought they would be more friendly. I didn’t really care much to write a review before but after seeing how disorganized they are and how hard they are to reach about billing issues and statement inquiries it’s clear that I probably won’t be coming back. I’ve been dealing with these billing issues for about 2 months and I’ve gotten multiple calls about making new appointments but they don’t seem to be able to give me clear answers about anything else. Just telling me what They feel I need to do about and how urgent it is, which is important but the tone they use is not friendly. I don’t want to come back unless the issues that I care about are worked out as well!!! The hygienists are great! The office staff is not so great!!! Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and professional staff. Setting an appointment as a new patient was easy, and they are really good at communication. Carley was very quick and had my teeth feeling squeaky clean. Her and Dr. Picot were also good at explaining my more immediate needs and getting me scheduled to address them. Marcia and the dental assistant who took my x-rays and pictures (she mentioned she was from VA) also had excellent customer service.

Fantastic experience: Brooke at the front desk was extremely warm and welcoming. She took time out of her day to sit with me and talk about things that I needed to hear. I can’t thank her enough for doing that for me. Doctor Picot and his dental hygienist Tia were very kind and real with me. They both sat down with me and made me feel like my short comings in my dental hygiene (lack of flossing and I haven’t gone to the dentist in two years—taking care of my children’s needs instead of my own as a single working mother) a heroic thing and in their words, “Hey, you’re here now!” calming and uplifting. I would definitely recommend them for dental care and I can’t wait to continue my care there. Thank you for all you do and you deserve a 10 star review if that were a thing. ❤️

Negative experience: These people are fraud. I went for my tooth ache first day and the lady took the pictures only and send me back. Gave me Appointment for next week I was in lots of pain. After the procedure whatever I owed I paid for it. After few year the send my bill to collection dept. that I owe them $20. Called collection agency, Miss Miller said that it's the charges for 2021 visit. I've never been to the clinic at that time. Be careful people.

You had clinical work beyond pictures taken in our office and we have contacted you multiple times regarding the remaining balance for our work that was completed.
