Negative experience: Have to really find another dentist, they are forever finding issues in your mouth to cost you money. Total mouth issue this time is over $3700 this is ridiculous, seniors don’t have that kind of money. And they always have new dentist, the others are leaving, seems to tell me something.

Fantastic experience: I received online dental visit time available today. My hygienist came to welcome me for routine cleaning. I enjoyed eye mask during the procedure and was done by 5pm. Fantastic experience: Sufyan was the greatest dental hygienist I have had in my adult life. He is very thorough and does a wonderful job cleaning teeth.

Fantastic experience: The service was very good and I liked the cleaning of the teeth. Now, the estimate to replace the crowns on my implants came out is very expensive. I noticed that it was includes the teeth that will not be treated, by my choice. I think I need an estimate just for the 7 implants. But, I will wait for the response from my insurance.

Positive experience: Good cleaning. Did not have to wait much for the Appointment . However everytime I visit , there is a non-covered procedure offered .

Fantastic experience: I still stand by this today!!!!! Dr. Kim is always professional and always listens attentively to my concerns and helps to relieve my pain. Dr. Kim is very thorough and she takes her time with her patients. Dr. Kim never dissapoints, she is always searching for the problem and resolves it. Periodt! As usual Dr. Kim listens and resolves and took care of all my needs today. She is an awesome professional dentist. Dr. Kim made sure my mouth apparatus was comfortable before I went home and how to insert and remove them.

Fantastic experience: Was able to get a same day appointment. They explained what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. Chris was so helpful in getting me the financial assistance I needed. My root canal was done on 1 Aug with a follow up on 22 Aug. Everything was looking good and received my appointment for the crown on 27 Aug. Group Health Dental provides excellent care and service.

Fantastic experience: From making the appointments over the phone, greeting us at the front desk, being escorted to a room to meet the dental hygienist, and the dentist and at the end of our visit, through making the next appointment, the whole team is friendly, kind, caring, even humorous at times, the experience was awesome! The building and the office is modern, bright and clean. The energy in the office makes you so relaxed that forget that you're at the dentist! Our appointments were at 11:00 am and the wait time was pretty much non-existent! We traveled from Brooklyn to the office in Manhattan and will continue to do so without hesitation and we are surrounded by many dental offices! Other dental providers will have a lot of work to do in trying to emulate this team! Thank you for your wonderful services and providing such an amazing experience. We love you guys and look forward to our next visit!!

Fantastic experience: I have extreme dental anxiety after some very negative experiences and I've run out of other offices in pure panic. Sadly my dental health had extremely suffered for it. EVERY person here - receptionists, hygienists, surgeon, dentists and assistants have all been incredible. No judgment, just positive, reassuring, gentle care. Dr. Lewis is a wonderful surgeon and Dr. Islam is so patient and caring. So very grateful to them.

Fantastic experience: My appointment with the dental hygienist went very well, thanks. However my follow up appointment with Dr Efron didn't go very well. He came in shortly after the hygienist finished. He examined my gums by asking me to remove my upper denture that was all. I told him that I was having an issue with my tooth that was bothering me. He asked me to have a seat in the waiting room at which time his assistant finally emerged just to call someone else who clearly arrived after me. After I approached her she told me that there computer was down. That's when I decided to leave.

Negative experience: Disappointed . I arrived at 3.30 for my 4.00pm appointment for teeth cleaning. Cleaning was started at 4.40pm. They don't communicate you just have to continue waiting which is so unprofessional. When I asked the lady at the desk why I've not been seen, she told me that my hygienist had an emergency which I didn't believe and she wanted me to reschedule my appointment after waiting for more than 1hour. This is the second time this has happened to me. Last time I waiting for 2hrs. Do I have to take Xrays on every appointment? Could my decline of taking Xrays be the cause of the long wait. Most probably.

Fantastic experience: Jen was as gentle as she could be, yet thorough and attentive. She answered all my questions completely. She was also patient and generally kind in her approach.

Negative experience: I've been at group health dental for 30 years. As the practice has become more upscale I found that it is less trustworthy, more likely to say you need "preventative" services, charges higher fees that insurance won't cover, employs dentists that don't take insurance and has poor communication about wait times. The office is gorgeous but I feel less cared about which is so important as a dental client.

Negative experience: I had an appointment with the dental hygienist on 5/6/25 which was fine. She made a recommendation for more extensive work and I decided to think about it before proceeding. I was confronted by the office manager, Paty, who was very aggressive questioning my decision to think about it. I have been a patient in this office for over 30 years. Recently my experience has been they push dental work that may not be necessary as confirmed by a consult with another dentist. They have raised their rates to above and beyond what other dentists in NYC charge. I would not at this time recommend this dental facility.

With so many options and so little time, I took a chance on Group Health Dental after seeing their great reviews and realizing they accepted my insurance. I’m so glad I did — I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt cared for. I was greeted by Ashley, who might just be the sweetest and most helpful person I’ve ever met. She immediately made me feel at ease and went above and beyond to fit me into the schedule, working around my availability like a total pro. Then I met Iryna, who is hands down one of the most talented and thorough dental hygienists I’ve ever encountered. It had been a while since my last cleaning, and she handled it with such precision, patience, and kindness. Not only was the deep cleaning immaculate, but she explained everything clearly and gave me personalized recommendations that made a huge difference in my smile. She never made me feel rushed — I could tell she genuinely cared about doing what was best for my teeth. Finally, I met Dr. Islam, whose approach I deeply respected. He was honest, kind, and took the time to assess my situation without pushing unnecessary procedures. I loved that his goal was to preserve my natural teeth — no drilling for the sake of drilling here. Since then, I’ve already been back to see Iryna again, and I truly wish I could start every morning at Group Health Dental. That’s how amazing this team is. They’ve set the gold standard for what dental care should feel like. I want to scream my love for this team from a mountain top! Highly, highly recommend — I genuinely can't say enough good things about this place!

Fantastic experience: I had a great time at Group Health Dental, and had my exam done by Dentistry's Dynamic Duo, Dr. Kim and Irina... When they hit the scene, cavities cower, gingivitis grovels, and plaque starts pushing for the door!! I hope Group Health Dental is getting them capes, for they're truly superheros!!

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience during my visit for a cleaning today. I left with bleeding gums and I never bleed when i floss or brush my teeth. Once again all they want is to push for a local antibiotic injection for $125 (not covered by insurance) to treat a gum inflammation that l have never experienced and when you asked for an oral prescription as treatment they tell you that oral antibiotics don’t work for the mouth. We all know that this is incorrect.

Negative experience: I have Dr. Otto and I thank God for her. She is gifted with patience and empathy. She listens closely and it’s almost as though she is stepping in your shoes and is really able to understand what your telling her even if you’re not being explicit as you would like to be in explaining your problem. I have a problem of the numbing medication wearing off quickly and she makes it work with 1-2 injections the most. At other dentist it was 6-8 injections before the procedure was finished. She is exemplary and outstanding. I have never met a dentist like her. She is a unique Doctor in the field of dentistry and she made me feel like I wasn’t a bother and she understood. I was comfortable and relaxed and my fear of the dentist leaves when she works on my most. The truth be told I get my fear back whenever I have to see someone outside of her there. I could go on and on about Doctor Otto. She is truly an Amazing Doctor and Incredibly Awesome Dentist!! The only reason why I gave it a 4 is because my first experience there was a horrible one. I had a tooth that I was supposed to have a root canal done on and over the weekend the tooth began to be severely painful. I called that Monday and had to stay in pain until that Wednesday. I think they undermined my pain even though I told them it was a 15. So I suffer for 5 days and 4 nights with the pain because the 800 mg of ibuprofen did absolutely nothing for the pain. I should have been pulled in as soon as possible. I didn’t get much sleep or was able to eat. The pain was unbearable. No dentist should allow a patient to be in pain for that long or undermine a person’s pain. I felt ignored and I wouldn’t have let an animal suffer like that. Later for the root canal. I got the tooth pulled. I couldn’t take the pain. I expressed my feelings and they said they didn’t realize it, but if I say my pain is a 15 on a scale of 1-10, then how can one not realize it. It’s easy to ignore or don’t take seriously the complaint of pain when it’s not in your mouth. Outside of the initial visit I have no complaints. The receptionists are awesome people. Friendly, professional and outstanding!! Carey Ann in the financial dept. is very nice and pleasant and was encouraging and told me after I had the tooth extracted that if I had any more problems with pain to call and ask to speak to her and she would get me in that same day. Which should have been done by staff when the pain was present). I appreciate her willingness to help. She alright with me and I think she is great!! I know I will be footing a large bill though. Thank God they have payment plans. I would recommend people but be prepared to be paying large amounts of money.

Fantastic experience: Amy and dr islam are very patient. The chair was massaging me while Dr. Islam remived the temporary. I did not feel a thing. Great service and pleasant attitude. Also the hygenist offered me an eye mask along with lip balm. She cleaned my teeth excepyionally well.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating — they always make me feel welcome. One thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to book an appointment, even at the last minute! So far, no unnecessary x-rays or upselling, and no hidden costs. Everything is explained clearly, and they give you options before starting any procedure, which I really appreciate. Dr. Khafi is very nice and professional. He always makes sure I’m comfortable during the procedure and takes the time to explain what’s going on. Definitely makes going to the dentist a lot less stressful.

Positive experience: My hygienist was very good. She explained everything that she did and why it was being done. The customer service was hood as well, the front desk staff were attentive and acknowledged me upon my arrival. There was a short wait time, I was seen at my appointment time and didn't feel rushed during my visit. I agree wi5h others about the pressure from the financial department for treatment that they present to you just in ordefor you to pay more money.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here every 4 months for the 3 past years. My dental hygienist is such a joy to receive care from...and know she sees many patients and yet she always remembers to ask after my dog. The staff really gets to know you in a way that is very genuine and makes you feel valued. My regular dentist is great too. The service is excellent at all times. And now they have taken it up a notch with their comfort care...There is a menu of items to help you be at ease during your visit! I took the noise canceling earplugs, the stress ball and the warming eye mask...I mean what else can you ask for.

Fantastic experience: Had a root canal today and the oral surgeon said he was going to call in something for pain if I need it. The antibiotic is at the pharmacy however there is no pain medication and I’m in pain, my tooth is throbbing. I’m taking antibiotics and Motrin, extra strength Tylenol. It still hurts. I called and left an urgent message. Perhaps I need a stronger antibiotic.I never received a response. Dr Brown on the other hand is the best. Professional, caring and is the only reason I chose Group Health Dental. I’ve been his patient for years. I highly recommend him to friends, relatives and colleagues. As a health care professional I recognize high quality care.

Negative experience: Although you are a particaping dentist & should accept payment in full, you charged me $28 due to reduction in 1199's payment & refused to inquiry with the imsurance company. This is going to be a problem now because I will refuse x-rays, except my 2 per year.

Fantastic experience: Irina the dental hygienist was one of the best I ever had give my teeth a deep cleaning. She was wonderful. The entire staff is amazing.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, I was able to get two appointments done by chance since I showed up 30 min early due to getting out of work earlier than usual. My dentist Kim had an open time slot and she noticed me in the waiting area, so I was able to get my appointment with her finished today instead of in two days! Saved me the trip and also got me scheduled cleaning done with Neha right after.

Positive experience: I’ll edit my previous review and deduct a star only because they didn’t tell me my dentist is only scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I would have to make another appointment to see him. The X-rays and cleaning were fine and there was no wait, but had they told me before I could have rescheduled and made only one visit. Today was good—not much waiting, X-rays were quick, cleaning was good and visit with dentist was also efficient but thorough—

Positive experience: The office is not only clean and immaculate but also a welcoming space where friendliness and professionalism shine through. All staff members are in uniform, creating a cohesive work environment. They are also dedicated to providing excellent services. Dr. Islam was very kind, patient, and informative, and even had a massage chair. My hygienist was equally good followed up with me the day after my deep cleaning. I'm rating it four stars because I did not anticipate the $1,200 cost for the antibiotics needed. However, since I hadn't been consistently flossing much in the past and hadn't had a cleaning in over 6 months, this was par for the cause.
