West Cobb Family Dentistry: Hal Wilson DDS, Zack Osborne DMD, & Boyd Wilson DMD

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love this place! My husband and I have been coming to Dr. Wilson (West Cobb Family Dentistry) for many years. We love the friendly staff and thorough and kind hygienists. The office environment is very friendly, professional, relaxed, and welcoming. Our hygienist Rhonda is wonderful and aways makes our experience pleasant. Dr. Hal Wilson, Dr. Boyd Wilson and Dr. Zack Osborne are highly skilled and do excellent dental work. Their approach is very calm, relaxing, and puts you at ease. We are patients for life!

I did some research on picking the right dentist and found WC family dentistry after moving back to the area. Nina was an excellent hygienist and made me feel welcomed and took her time to ensure a proper cleaning and welcoming experience. Dr. Osborne was a great dentist. He also did not pressure me to do anything that wasn't urgent. I found him to be knowledgeable and I am very satisfied and pleased with the service and experience. No wonder why it's highly rated. I live in Smyrna but it was worth the drive for a great dentist.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple years (yikes I know). Everyone was super nice, they didn’t make me feel embarrassed about it in the least. She explains everything and gives advise on how to do home care. I also saw Dr. Osborne. He was also very helpful. He took the time to listen to me with any concerns that I had. I definitely trust Jean, Dr. Osborne, and Dr. Wilson with my dental care. I highly recommend West Cobb Family Dentistry. PAST REVIEW: Dr. Adams is wonderful! He is an excellent dentist and very personable, as well. My hygienist, Tara, does a fantastic job and is very knowledgeable. The whole staff is friendly and caring. Fantastic experience: Brooke, my dental hygienist, is an absolute gem! She is kind, smart, and so gentle with her cleaning that I nearly forgot I was in a dental chair. My teeth feel amazing, and she made the whole experience feel calm and even kind of fun - which is saying something when sharp tools are involved! Doctor Osborne popped in for a check up and was great, too! He still looks like he’s barely old enough to drive (seriously, what’s his skin care routine?), but he was professional, kind, and didn’t need to break out the Novacaine this time - which my face appreciated. Fantastic experience: ***05/22/25 UPDATE*** I had an appointment to fill a cavity this morning at 7AM, where I was promptly taken back to the operating room, procedure started and operated on by Dr. Boyd Wilson, and back outside walking to my car at 7:15AM. Unreal. I was in amazing hands with Dr. Boyd and dental tech Savannah, and I did not feel a thing happening to my tooth and mouth during the procedure. Within an hour, the numbness in my mouth began wearing off and I have no pain whatsoever. Amazing work. Original review: My family and I have been patients at West Cobb Family Dentistry for about 15 years now, and while this is my first review for them, I just want to say how wonderful this dental practice is. Back when I started with now retired Dr. Adams and transitioning to Dr. Boyd Wilson, and through the amazing hygiene care of Leah, and attention of the front office staff, this practice feels like family. Dr Boyd came along a few years back after buying the practice and thankfully I haven't required the need of his "services" yet. That being said, I cant attest to his work, but he is also easy to talk to and has a great bedside manner. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Great team at West Cobb Dentistry! From the front desk personnel to the dental hygienist to Dr. Boyd (DDS), I received excellent care. They are always on time, friendly, and extremely caring for a “chicken” like me.

Negative experience: I keep getting emails and text messages to write a review, so I've finally decided to share my experiences. My family and I, were patients of West Cobb Family Dentistry - Hal Wilson was our dentist for 15 years. As a family we started to noticed a shift in the attitude with the staff and Hal Wilson. It was strange. When the pandemic happened it was apparent they didn't want to service us anymore because we never received any communication regarding getting back on the schedule post pandemic. We were taken aback and didn't know where the attitude was coming from. My husband and I have had several root canals and crowns and each time there were always major problems with the crown and the root canal. December 2024, I scheduled an appointment to get my crown examined because it was not sealed down properly causing food to get down into the tooth creating a terrible odor. I have complained about this before but was ignored. A root canal was performed and new crown January 2025 and I still have an issue. I scheduled an appointment on March 17, 2025 and express my concerns to Hal Wilson and he didn't seem to care or show concerned at all. Here's my issues with my new crown: Cost: My insurance was Billed $$$$. My out of pocket over $800 for a crown that has all of these issues. 1.This crown is extremely BIG and needs adjusting 2. Although a root canal was performed my tooth is very sensitive. 3. Crown feels very high and not aligned with my teeth. 4. When biting down my food slides . I have spent so much money with this place for Hal Wilson to treat me and my family this way. Extremely disappointed . Sincerely, The Hester Family Update: It’s been 1 month since I posted this review We have yet to hear from any office staff members to discuss our concerns listed above. Again, this office lacks great customer service and has definitely lost its personal touch.

I have bone growths in my lower jaw and usually taking xrays is not enjoyable but they knew how to work around them and left the office with no pain.
