Hygienist did a cleaning in about 4 minutes, I have never experienced such a bad quality of service. Definitely, I will move to another professional dental office.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and the office is very clean. I went with my 3 kids and I was in and out in less than 3 hours including wait time to be seen. The hygienist was very nice and efficient and the Doctor was also very kind and I loved how she explained everything.

Positive experience: We had to wait over an hour and half to be seen. Overall the service of cleaning and the doctor observations are good.

Negative experience: This is the second time I leave a review here. My first one was also a 1 star because they advised me that my son needed to fully go under anesthesia because he’s “too hyper” to take care of 3 cavities. My son has ADHD. My son was 6 at the time. The lady in the front gave attitude when I refused to do the service with them and pay 2000 for the anesthesia and the dental work. How is it that I then took my small child to MY ADULT DENTIST, they were able to take care of the cavities WITHOUT anesthesia and that insane process for a small child? Mind blowing. This is the absolute worst experience I have been through for a child. As a parent, you are your children’s #1 advocate. Thank God this is the case because I wouldn’t recommend this office to my worst enemy. Save time and don’t come here. Piece of trash. This place pissed me off so much. What a horrible experience.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. We were just 10 minutes late to my child’s appointment, and they canceled it immediatel,saying the doctor had more appointments and they have to be attended.What makes it worse is that this office is often running behind and keeps patients waiting in the lobby well past their scheduled time. It’s extremely unfair to hold families to strict punctuality when they don’t do the same. Kids can be unpredictable, and there should be a little flexibility, especially in a pediatric setting. We won’t be coming back.

Negative experience: Absolutely no respect for people's time! My appointment was at 2 and they still hadn't called us in at 3:41. This was the 3rd time this happened. Will be changing to another practice that values my time.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been bringing my daughter to American Pediatrics since 4 or 5 years old, she is now 12. I love Dr. Aza! She is so great with the kids and making them feel comfortable. Yesterday my daughter had to get a filling done and my daughter was so nervous to get the anesthesia via needle. But Dr. Aza talked her through it and kept her calm. During the entire process she explained what she was doing and continually thanked my daughter for helping her out by staying calm and keeping her mouth open. Love this place! And it’s a plus that they have Saturday appointments!!

The clinic is absolutely beautiful, and we didn’t have to wait long at all. Both the hygienist and the dentist were extremely professional and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free for my children. Highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. My son has special needs and today was our first visit and it went great! All the staff members were extremely patient and accommodating starting with the front desk girls. Our hygienist was professional, sweet, patient, caring and explained to him everything in detailed. Then Dr. Mejia came in and talked and played with him first, this made the visit even more pleasant and really took the time to do a thorough evaluation. Even though going to the dentist is very stressful for him, he was very happy at the end and I am very satisfied!

Fantastic experience: First time took my two-years and eight months child And he did great. Staff was amazing. They brought him a dinosaur with teeth to brush to demonstrate what they were do first. High recommend!

Negative experience: I'm leaving a 1 star because there is no option to leave negative stars, my Kid was a patient and was working on 6 cavities, for over 1 year, one was left to work on, I took her to another doctor and she has NO cavities. I recomend taking your kids to a better dentist.

From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel welcome, comfortable, and truly cared for. The office is spotless, modern, and equipped with everything needed to make even the most nervous patients feel at ease. But the real star is Dr. Valiente. She is hands down the best! Her gentle approach, clear communication, and genuine care for her patients is unmatched. She takes the time to explain everything, answers all our questions with patience, and makes sure my son feels calm and confident throughout the entire visit. It’s clear she loves what she does and truly cares about her patients’ well-being. Thanks to Dr. Valiente, going to the dentist is no longer something my son dreads — in fact, he looks forward to it! Negative experience: I don’t know what happened to this place. I’ve been coming here since my son was a baby and my son is special needs. He’s never had a cavity. Today the doctor suddenly tells me he has two small cavities and instead of taking care of it immediately she wants me to wait until July. My little 7 year old son. So basically you’re telling me you want me to wait for months for a small tiny cavity to grow and hit my son’s nerve and get worse. This is terrible this place is not what it used to be and I am extremely upset. A cavity needs to be taken care of immediately how are you gonna allow this to grow. On top of the fact my son doesn’t drink juice; or soda, or eat any candy and brushes twice a day. Either she was lying to me to make more money or i dont know but I’m going for a second opinion elsewhere. I used to love coming here today was a terrible experience, all of the staff has completely changed and I don’t think this was the same doctor we’re used to seeing that helped my son before. Don’t come here because it’s nothing like it used to be. This was obviously not the doctor my son is used to. His previous doctor was super sweet to him, she would take her time to explain everything to him and also me. She would listen to my son and always end his visit with the dinosaur to play with. I came 6 months ago as we always do since he was 1 years old for his cleaning and the doctor told me he didn’t have his two bottoms molars yet but when I came back in 6 months he should and that she would put sealants on them like she would on the top to make sure no cavities came out. Suddenly this new doctor was rushed, she was insensitive, how can brand new molars have cavities already when he’s never had them? And on top of that, even if it’s true, how do you expect to wait until July almost 5 months to fix this issue and you don’t even take care of it. Words cannot express how upset I am now I’m going to have anxiety until I can get my son treatment immediately. Edit: I came to a second opinion to a highly recommended dentist and even paid out of pocket and guess what? My son has zero cavities !!!!!! They did the sealants quickly. I highly recommend you get a second opinion if you’re not 100% about something. Don’t come here anymore the stuff isn’t what it used to be. No sé qué le ha pasado a este lugar. He estado viniendo aquí desde que mi hijo era un bebé y mi hijo tiene necesidades especiales. Nunca ha tenido una caries. Hoy, de repente, el doctor me dice que tiene dos pequeñas caries y en lugar de atenderlas inmediatamente, quiere que espere hasta julio. Mi pequeño hijo de 7 años. Básicamente, me están diciendo que espere meses para que una pequeña caries crezca, toque el nervio de mi hijo y empeore. Esto es terrible, este lugar ya no es lo que solía ser y estoy extremadamente molesta. Una caries debe atenderse de inmediato, ¿cómo van a permitir que esto crezca? Además, mi hijo no bebe jugo, ni soda, ni come dulces, y se cepilla dos veces al día. O ella me estaba mintiendo para ganar más dinero, o no sé, pero voy a buscar una segunda opinión en otro lugar. Solía amar venir aquí, hoy fue una experiencia terrible, todo el personal ha cambiado completamente y no creo que esta fuera la misma doctora que solíamos ver y que ayudó a mi hijo antes. No vengan aquí, porque no es nada como solía ser.

Negative experience: Once I got there I found out I had a $50 copay, which I wasn't informed on the phone. And their response was just "maybe the person on the phone forgot to mention it". Plus they charged me extra ($50) for not wanted to share my SS number (already having everything approved by my insurance). The front desk lady was constantly going to the back to discuss my appointment with the "manager", who didn't even mind to go see me at the from desk. They gave me a follow up appointment, which I needed to reschedule, and it was such a nightmare to change the date, and even requested me to call my insurance in order to check if they covered my last appointment and then go back to then with a positive response in order to reschedule!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going back because it is the only place Dr. Ana Maria Valencia works (she is THE BEST), but the service and staff are FAR from nice.

Positive experience: There services aren’t bad but the wait time is disrespectful. Apportionment at 10 don’t get seen till 1140. Plan on staying there half a day.

He broke his tooth, and Dr. Aza took the time yesterday to not only fix it perfectly but also to make sure my son felt comfortable and at ease throughout the process. His kindness, patience, and professionalism truly stood out. We are so grateful for his expertise and the way he went above and beyond to help. Negative experience: The past week I been trying to speak to someone to schedule an extraction my son desperately needs and they keep sending all calls to the answering service. Just ridiculous!!!! Switching dentist and I cant even get the front desk to send me a release they dont even deserve one star

Negative experience: Although the doctor is very good and professional, the same cannot be said about all the dental assistants. If it weren’t for the doctor being so good, I wouldn’t return. My experience has not been the best.

Negative experience: If you have children with special needs, stay away! My sons have autism, they suggested them to have a sedation with their sedation office charging $395 per child. I got in contact with my children health and dental insurance. They said I can take them somewhere else to get the sedation covered by the insurance with the referral from the dentist. I have called several times, text several times and email several times. And I was promised by Antonella that this would be done and I would recieve a follow up. No follow up was done. We went to the office and all they provided us with was with a letter, no referral. A letter for a secound opinion, meaning I have to put my children through another dentist visit. Knowing how difficult it is with children with Autism. Before, even scheduling with them I explained that my sons had Autism and they would need sedation. I explained my situation and the insurance we had. They told me they worked with children with Autism and the doctor would determine if they needed sedation. If I would've know they don't take insurance for sedation I would've never schedule a appointment and avoided everything. But the scheduling department told me otherwise. When I spoke to Antonella she said the calls probably never got to them because they are different departments. But the text and emails where read and unreplied too. There is no excuse. Then she said she wpuld personally take care of us. Never called back. It seems like they don't care for their patients. My sons now have to wait 6 months so their insurance can cover another dentist visit and then reschedule sedation so they can have their treatment done. It is sad and fustrating.

Negative experience: First and last time visiting the practice. Looks like they overbooked patients. We waited for about 2 hours for a cleaning. After the doctor’s assistant finally led us to the room, we continued waiting for the doctor to come by and after another 20 minutes, we walked out. So disrespectful of patients time, and very unconsidered since children are the patients.

She was gentle and she guided him through every step of each procedure. The dentist was very kind and gentle. She explained his teething situation in an easy way for us to understand. Negative experience: I’ve visited this location several times, and unfortunately, they consistently fail to respect appointment times. Despite scheduling in advance, the average wait time has been 30 to 45 minutes past the appointment. This repeated lack of punctuality shows poor management of schedules and disregard for customers’ time. I hope the staff can improve on this, as the extended wait times are frustrating and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: My Daughter is very nervous about the Dentist, but at The American Pediatric Dental Group All the Dentist Staff and Her Doctor make it easy for her by making her feel safe and comfortable with the procedure. I recommend 100 % this Dental Clinic

Negative experience: I’ve brought my daughter to this location several times, and unfortunately, they consistently fail to respect appointment times. We’re often left waiting 30 to 45 minutes past the scheduled time. Today, we were running late and I called ahead to inform them that my GPS estimated I’d arrive 23 minutes late. Despite my proactive communication, I was told they would only wait 20 minutes, and beyond that, they would cancel the appointment. I fully understand the importance of punctuality, but it feels unfair and disrespectful to be so rigid about time when they themselves rarely adhere to it.

Negative experience: Very concerned with the X-rays dentist force you to accept for your child. If you don’t want your son to get X-rays done in his mouth , they don’t see or give services to him. At least once a year since they are very little. My son doesn’t have any problem and they insist. This is not professional. Lines are long. The rest is good.

I was honestly expecting the worse, thinking that they would most likely will have to put him to sleep for them to even considering looking inside of his mouth. Negative experience: My daughters have been patients of APDG for ten years and today we had to wait for almost two hours to be assisted in the Doral location. It was very frustrating. Going back to the Pembroke Location - even if it isn’t as convenient distance wise.

Fantastic experience: Waiting times have improved a lot, before it was a nightmare and you had to wait more than 2 hours. On our last visits we have not waited more than 15 minutes

Negative experience: Horrible service. I don’t know how so many people say they love the place. I have taken my kids for years in this place and it’s always the same thing. Over an hour of wait time because they don’t know how to make appointments. Always putting multiple patients for the same time and canceling appointments even after it’s been confirmed. Very unprofessional and don’t recommend for anyone. I just took my kids off their system. I recommend to find another dentist.

Negative experience: Had an appointment today @ 8:30 this morning 4/2/24 the ac at the location was down. X-rays were done on my daughter I was told to come back at 2:30pm. Extremely unprofessional of them to not have given me a call advising that they were still closed. I get to the Location to find out for myself that they are closed. Left work for nothing as if they care.

Negative experience: We came for an emergency. They took some pictures and said they will call us for a treatment appointment, but never call again. When I call them back, they offer the same: taking photos and no treatment.

Negative experience: This place has the LONGEST WAIT a dr.’s office has, do not believe the fake reviews saying they were seen within minutes as it is NOT TRUE! As a matter of fact I’ve witnessed how they have given the same appointment time to 7 patients and 2 of the parents complaining about the long wait were told so and that the wait would be 45 mins to 1 hour. Also, the front desk do not answer the phone, you’d be playing cat and mouse with the recording the whole day. ADMIN, do not bother to reply, your patients don’t need mire excuses and lies, instead Please Do Something about it!!! Fix the problem!!! Because if these issues I am going to rescind of your services, (and there will be more people leaving), and for those same issues you’re also getting a bad reputation among parents in the community.

Positive experience: I give a rating of 4 because we waited for 40 minutes to get into the room. However, Keyssbert was absolutely amazing with my four year old. My son was scared and even began to cry, Keyssbert made it all better, explaining everything to my son, and making him feel comfortable. I will return just for him.

For those with Medicaid, they accept them as well as private insurance.

Negative experience: Nearly impossible to make appointment. My daughter went as a new patient without any problem and received a treatment plan. When I called as a returning patient, I called literally every day starting end of November, December and beginning of January, and left voicemails and messages with their answering services. Apparently since it was a returning patient I needed a “supervisor” to book the appointment really?. Needless to say, despite all the messages I never got a call back so I found another pediatric dentist and will never recommend this one no matter how good the doctor is. I don’t have the luxury of Time to spend This amount of efforts for an appointment. Also. You can’t tell how little the staff cares about it’s patient if they never bothered calling me back.

Fantastic experience: My children have been seen by APDG Doral for going on 11 years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Dr. Sara Aza is more than their doctor. She has become a trusted friend and a huge blessing to our family. The entire staff, both admin and clinical, are always friendly, compassionate, and skilled at their craft.
