At my initial appt I received excellent treatment from the evaluation process to the cleaning and screening for potential problems. A very thorough oral cancer screening and a fluoride treatment were included. The dentist was friendly and professional. I felt completely comfortable during the entire visit. Thank you Dr. Opps! Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with the hygienist, Nicole, who was gentle and friendly. In fact I have found each person at this office to be kind, upbeat, friendly, and helpful from staff to the dental professionals. A shout out to a dental assistant, Brittney, who took the time to listen and really help me solve a dental problem I've been suffering with. Dr Fridella was kind and offered options for my continuing care. I am so grateful I've found such excellent dental care!

Negative experience: WAY over price for cosmetic work. A lot of people have to take a day off work to visit a dentist and get a quote so this is your warning. They quoted $55,000 for veneers. I’m not even kidding so unless you just want to give your money away this is not the place to go.

From the willingness to work with scheduling, (something that is rare these days) to the friendly office staff, I was definitely impressed. Next, x-rays, (totally painless) Anja was kind and willing to listen to my concerns. For the exam, Dr. Fridella took her time and adressed my concerns. Last but not least, the hygienist was thorough and definitely an expert in her field. I left feeling like my dental health is in great hands!

Positive experience: The people at Smiles are great and the hygienist was amazing. The issue is that I didn’t find out there was no dentist for an exam until the end of my visit. I went to the dentist to see the dentist - instead, I got prophylaxis without an exam. They could have told me this first - and the dentist they said wasn’t there was not even the dentist I had seen in the past.

Fantastic experience: I lost a front tooth crown overnight and was facing a full day client schedule. The practice opened at 7am and I waited by the door to plead or beg if necessary. Even though my dentist was not available, another dentist saw me immediately. Everyone from the front desk crew to Dr. Berger and Daniel, his perfectionist assistant, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Crown back in, problem solved. Even Dr. Fridella popped in to say hello when I was on my way out. Talk about a well-oiled machine. This practice has my five-star vote.

Negative experience: I was charged a fraudulent charge of $158.39 by Smile at Lakewood Ranch one year after my last visit and after closing up my account with the practice. Vey disappointed by the mismanagement from their accounting team issuing false statements and claiming high charges after I closed my account with them a year ago. Will be contesting this fraudulent charge but beware!!!

Negative experience: Smiles used to be a place I referred to everybody I know. They changed management and things have drastically changed. They do not return your phone calls, the people at the front desk do not seem to have a basic understanding of the processes in the office, they will transfer you to other extensions and it will take a while for you to get what you need. However, I do have to add that this is not a reflection on the doctors. I have spoken to one of them and report the quality of services her clients are receiving. She was surprised and stated she will take the necessary measures, after all, the front desk experience is a reflection of the practice.

I have been to those - I’ll always look forward to a great experience and not have to take out a second mortgage to have my teeth cleaned/repaired.

Fantastic experience: I was worried because one dentist I went to a year ago was aggressive with having a lot of work done on my teeth that was not crucial to oral health. The price tag was in the thousands. This dentist explain her recommendations and helped me by showing how much my insurance would most likely pay. I felt trust and involved with the plan for my teeth. Thank you!

Negative experience: I've been going here for awhile. They called me at 12:00 today to cancel my appointment that was for 2:00. Next appointment they could give me was in November. Going to work on finding a new dentist instead.

Negative experience: EDIT it has been 2+ weeks since Smiles replied they would reach out. The only reaching out they did was to confirm or cancel an appointment I had scheduled last week. When I said to cancel and requested an office manager contact me, the lady on the phone said she would ask them to contact me. Nobody has contacted me. This place came to me so highly recommended and they have disappointed me tenfold. The miscommunication in the front office is awful. I contacted them twice giving them a chance to right the wrongs from my appointment and they have been radio silent. I will never set foot in here again.

Positive experience: Had 3 fillings today with Dr. Fridella. She was awesome, always making me feel very comfortable and anxiety-free. Also very understanding. She is my favorite dentist now since my last one retired and I have had bad luck up till now. Now I look forward to the dentist. Thanks Smiles! Couldn’t leave a second review so I’ll decreasing my review to a 4 star. I came in for a routine cleaning and was surprised to be charged an additional $40 for a different doctor to briefly come in and repeat the same information the hygienist had already provided—simply because Dr. Fredela wasn't available. While I generally like this office, charges like this feel unnecessary and borderline excessive. Hopefully we don’t see fees for the waiting room or air next

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience, not surprising. I was told that my tooth that was slightly discolored needed to be extracted have a root canal and an implant. I decided to get a second opinion because I had no pain sure enough I had an x-ray done by a different dentist. He says there’s nothing wrong with your tooth. Just save myself a couple thousand dollars.

Fantastic experience: As always, my wonderful hygienist Olivia greeted me warmly and reviewed my meds, any oral changes, even checked my BP! She was very thorough in her exam, cleaning my teeth and polishing. She instructed me on the new fluoride use, and other things to do with my dental self-care. Fantastic experience: Went there for an emergency with a root.Canal. The staff was awesome. They worked us in so we could get the tooth taken care of and did his deep cleaning in two days. I would recommend them to anyone they're really great. I went to have teeth removed for dentures. It went smoothly and actually best experience I’ve had. They are professional and caring. They make you feel like part of their family. Awesome job.

Fantastic experience: As a new resident to the area, I did a lot of searching online for a new Dentist. This was one of the best dental experiences I have had. The Online booking, and completing my forms ahead of time made for a seamless and quick check in. My Hygienist was the best! She was gentle and calming (I have Dentist anxiety) When the Dentist came in he was personable, quick and I felt confident and happy when I left the office. It takes a few months to get in as a new patient but WELL WORTH THE WAIT!
