Negative experience: I usually do not like leaving negative reviews, but I'm compelled to do so based on my recent experience taking my son to this dental office. Their customer service is horrendous and they will not work with you to resolve what should be a simple billing issue. Communication is non-existent. You're fortunate if you get a call back from them. What's more concerning is they refused to submit an insurance claim to our provider. I spoke with our insurance provider directly and they stated our policy covered the procedure done as an alternate benefit. However, this dental office did not submit a claim, even after I had to file a grievance with Delta Dental. My recommendation is to run as far away as possible from this dental office. If you must be seen here, be sure to ask for a pre-treatment estimate from your insurance provider before they provide any services. If they refuse to do so, turn around and leave. Any ethical medical provider can and should be able to easily provide you this information as part of the service to their customers.

Negative experience: I’ve been bringing my child here for years and at first we LOVED IT! Very kid friendly and patient friendly. I don’t know if owners changed but I don’t think I’ve seen the same dentist more than 3 times before there is a new face. The WORST part of our experience now is that no one speaks English here. I’m totally supportive of people coming from other countries to work here legally but learn the language before you get a position where you literally need to speak English to the patients! I can’t believe we’re in plantation, fl (not even Hialeah!) and this is the experience my son is having. They are jamming his face into the x ray machine because they can’t communicate in the country’s language! Why are you speaking Spanglish in plantation, FL? How do y’all have a job interacting with patients/clients when you don’t even speak English? If you’re a Spanish speaking only facility, which it seems like you are then advertise that! Communicate with your patients properly. I’m so fed up and disgusted with this place. I guess if you’re a Spanish speaker then this is your place, if not go somewhere else!

Negative experience: Typically we love this group at Plantations location. Being told they don't write antibiotic prescriptions for children with oral infections who have 3 weeks before endodontic care sounds like an ill informed desk worker and has me looking for a new dentist moving ahead.

Negative experience: Cash patients should not go to American Pediatric Associates. They charge you one amount before the visit and then they will bill you more. Terrible billing department, they sound robotic too.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff. Have been with them for more than 5 yrs. Assistant Katherine is so nice with kids have carisma and well prepared. All doctor are great. Today I met dr Pilar, and kids love her.

No one ever took all that time to make sure her teeth are PERFECTLY CLEAN but Janeth. I appreciate her so much and we will be seeing her at each routine cleaning I’ll have for my kids. Fantastic experience: My daughter had a filling to be done and I couldn’t believe how quickly we were in and out. I gave myself an hour maybe two to be there but it was less than an hour. Quick but great quality service. Love the Plantation office and staff.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with the level of professionalism at your office. Calls went unanswered, policies were not clearly explained, and the office closed at 1:00 PM despite the website stating a 1:30 PM closing time. Due to this experience, we will not be returning and I will be reporting the matter to the appropriate channels.

Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed with the management at Pediatric Dental Group Plantation. The manager's behavior was completely unacceptable - not only was she unprofessional, but she was also disrespectful and confrontational. Ana Cecilia, super rude!

Negative experience: I’m not sure what happened to this place? They were good but now the place looks run down and the customer service is horrendous. I recommend that you take you beloved children elsewhere never schedule around lunch time they have no problems telling you they have to go to lunch, so youll have to wait for us to comeback, I wish I could say it was one person but everyone there was rude. Definitely never going back there. And by the way watch them invoicing because they can’t explain their invoices and they claim you will have to contact their billing department.

Negative experience: I have a special need child. They change plans every time. Made three visits to extract teeth. They charge you for the visit and doesn’t take the teeth out and keep asking you to come back. Horrible service.

Negative experience: I’ve had the most horrible experience with this dental group. The communication between the different locations is a big circus. They consistently wait to the day of your childs appointment to read charts and deny services and all they can say is “We are sorry”. They never offer a solution.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this office several times and seen many doctors, but Dr. Pilar Avellaneda really impressed me along with her assistant Shirley and Sonia. I've had some negative experiences, but today was a different experience. My son came in for an extraction and my God, I'm in awe. I highly recommend Dr. Pilar, she was very patient and she is great at what she do. Thank you for making today's experience awesome.

I also want to personally shed light on Ms.Meme I have two special needs children ages 4 & 5 and I was worried about the process of the Visit, she created a safe space for them and built their trust, the rest was a Breeze!!! Maria was especially helpful in explaining my treatment plan in a way that was easy to understand, and I felt confident about the care I was receiving. Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience at this office. It was my first time there with my son Christopher and he was very nervous and scared. Dr. Rozman and Maria were amazing once they started to talk to him, he got so relaxed. I couldn't believe it. He even asked when he had to come back again LOL. They explained everything to me. They are super friendly and professional. The office is really clean. The rest of the staff was also very friendly. I would highly recommend this office 100%.

Negative experience: THIS IS THE WORST DENTAL OFFICE EVER! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! THEY PICK AND CHOOSE WHO THEY WANT TO SERVICE! CALL CENTER CAN'T CORRESPOND WITH THEIR OFFICES TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE! CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE! EMPLOYEES ALWAYS WITH AN ATTITUDE LIKE WE'RE THE PROBLEM! PLEASE FIND ANOTHER CAREER IF THERE'S ALWAYS GOING TO BE AN ATTITUDE BECAUSE YOU HAVE A JOB TO DO!

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with the staff at this orthodontic office. The lack of professionalism and empathy was concerning. The staff here came across as cold and unapproachable. Due to this negative experience, I have decided to seek care from another ortho provider. I hope they take feedback seriously and improve their patient care in the future."

Fantastic experience: This place is the best place for my kids every time they come for cleaning they enjoy their visit and love the staff and always given them the best service to my kids.

Negative experience: If I cloud give no starts I would. Please do not take your baby here. They’re services says that take children from infants to young adults so I scheduled for my 16 month old who has several teeth in for his first check up. They did a cleaning as if he was a big kid. They used those electric tooth brushes on him, obviously that’s scary so he was very upset, I as a first time mom did not know any better and didn’t say anything. They’re trying to distract him with gifts and stuff when one, he’s crying historically ma’am, a pair of glasses isn’t what he’s interest in right now, and two, you’re just overstimulating him more back off! I spoke to my sister who is a nurse and mom herself about the horrible first dentist experience he had and she informed me that is not how they’re supposed to treat babies specially when introducing them to dentist. Most places check the babies teeth of course but use a normal baby brush that they’re familiar with to make them feel comfortable. Not a freaking baby electric brush and hold him down like they did. I should’ve known, I’m a first time mom. I just wish I knew before I would’ve never taken him here. So if you’re a new momma looking for a dentist do not take them here unless you want to traumatize your baby.

Negative experience: 2 stars only because the hygienist and doctors are friendly and make your child comfortable with the procedure however please know that you are going to wait 30mins or more to be seen even if you have an appointment. Also their appointments are always full. My daughter has a broken bracket and I called to make an appointment but they basically told me that they only had 2 times available in the next 2 weeks! And those 2 times turn out to be during school hours. Im needing to wait a whole month until her next appointment. So I recommend you look elsewhere if you are looking for a doctors office that has flexible appts and where you are not waiting over 30mins to be seen.

Negative experience: They don’t verify the information for the patients correctly. One of my children had been seen in their office with same insurance, no changes and they had put the wrong insurance type on her file. This is because they pass you from one agent to the other without any order and wanting to see multiple patients at a time. They tell me they “don’t take my insurance” WHICH THEY DO! I had be the mad crazy mother looking for a new Dentist for my child to be seen. Which if you know it is ver stressful when you can’t find appointments quick. Btw the new dental office I found is 10 times better. Don’t waste your time with these people. For a Pediatrics dentistry they don’t have the best treatment for the parents or the patients. Growing is good but when the customer service lacks it’s not a good thing.

Fantastic experience: Patty the hygienist is always patient and engaging with my five year old daughter. She makes her feel comfortable and never scared to get her teeth cleaned.

Negative experience: Not thrilled with my experience. I scheduled an appointment here due to its reviews and location. I was excited to be a part of an office with such high reviews, especially with young children. To start, the person who registered us had already gotten patient name incorrect - and I had to correct at least 3 people when they would refer to us incorrectly. Then we were placed in a room and were ONLY there for x-rays. The hygienist was preparing for a cleaning. When I said it's only x-rays, she could not understand me. She only spoke Spanish. So after several feeble attempts of us communicating, she got someone from the front who was able to translate for us. The x-rays were quick and good. When the Dr. came in, she was nice. We were told we would need surgery to remove baby teeth. I was apprehensive as not much was communicated to me. Once again, there was a bit of a communication/language barrier it seemed. My Spanish is not fluent enough for medical/procedural communication. Since then, I have tried to call the office multiple times. I always get someone in the "call center" who has to forward me to the Plantation office. The first time, I was hung up on. The second time, it sounded like the person was outside running and they quickly forwarded me to the Plantation Office. No answer. Left a message. No call back. The third time I called, the "call center", I had to ask the woman on the line to slow down I could not understand her. Her accent was too thick, so I asked if she could repeat herself. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, and she just kept repeating herself. After 3 times of me asking, she said, "Do you speak Spanish?" I said no, and she kept repeating the same sentence. I finally understood half of it - and she transferred me to the Plantation Office. I left another message, with no response or call back. If an office cannot call back, get a patient's name correct on paperwork (they even got it wrong AFTER the appt a month later), or communicate with me effectively, I don't feel comfortable attending that medical office. And yes, this was all written in summary on the records request form when I said I was leaving the practice.

Fantastic experience: Extremely great staff. Ms. Sonia was very sweet and helpful and made my little brother feel calm. The doctors and Sonia explained everything as they were doing to it make sure my brother didn’t panic. Will definitely continue to bring my family here!

Fantastic experience: I have been to this office before and honestly, I love it. I got braces for my son with Dr. Rozman and Maria, and they are incredible. I recommend them 100%. They helped me with great discounts, and the cost is really affordable. I was afraid because I thought braces were very expensive, but they offer payment plans without checking the credit score, and the monthly payments are very low and affordable! Thank you!!! I love the team!!

Fantastic experience: We were seeing yesterday and the Plantation location and was helped by Tyreek. He was very helpful and patient with my two kids ages six and three he took his time and made sure that they were comfortable before cleaning and x-rays.

Fantastic experience: This Sat morning my son was playing outside and he fell and broke part of his front permanent tooth. Called his dentist office in Coral Springs and even though they were full she got an emergency appt same day in the Plantation office. (Seriously Thank you ) Dr. Shippee is great! She handled the emergency and calmed the situation. All around great office and thank you American Pediatric Dental Group for having good front office staff and doctors!

Fantastic experience: A week ago we went to the American Pediatric Dental Group in Plantation. Janet did a phenomenal job on making sure my daughter was engaged throughout the whole process. It is a beautiful thing seeing people excel on their jobs. Way to go, Janet!

Negative experience: I used to enjoy bringing my kids here. I’ve never had any issues until recently. The office staff is not helpful and the “messaging center” gives incorrect information. I just showed up for an appt for both of my kids and the rude woman in the front said one of my kids didn’t have active coverage and the other did not have an appt. I received multiple texts and emails to confirm both appts which I did. Fine I’ll talk to the insurance and see what happened with one of my children, she also refused to see my other child saying no appt. Even though my sons appt was now available she refused to help. This staff has been no help over the phone nor in person. I have advised all my friends and family to transfer their children from this facility. I would give negative stars if it was possible!

Fantastic experience: I was able to get in quickly for an emergency appointment. The staff was friendly and the dental assistant was a Rockstar! She made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Informed us on everything that was going to happen before doing any procedures and explained all the equipment beforehand. The dentist was very professional and made all our worries evaporate. I am happy with my experience here and am so glad we had such a positive first experience. It wasn't "scary" at all! Thanks!

Negative experience: First of all, my appointment was at 9:00 am, and 9:30 am, i didn't go back until 10:00. Why make appointments if i go to the back on someone else appointment? Then, it took another hour to clean my girl's teeth. Then, they only had one doctor to come, another 20 minutes later. I mean ONE doctor to see all the patients after the teeth are cleaned. I am over this dentist. My time is valuable, like theirs, but then they send out emails about charging folks if they don't cancel their appointments. I need to charge them for keeping me all morning TWO AND A HALF HOURS.
