Landstown Dental Care

Fantastic experience: I recently had a crown come off and was not interested in going back to my dentist. Landstown Dental had availability that very much worked for me. Melissa & Dr. K were a breath of fresh air compared to my previous experiences with dentists. The hygienist who completed my cleaning at my first appointment was amazing too. I inquired about Invisalign and Dr. K did a fantastic job explaining concerns to address before moving forward with Invisalign or braces. A broken tooth was located and they were able to fit me in for an appointment and temporary crown. The procedure itself was a breeze thanks to Melissa & Dr. K’s reassurance and easy going bedside manner. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: Multiple people to thank... If any aspect of going to the dentist gives you anxiety, please read this review. I had not been to a dentist in years (sooo not proud of that) but, I had a painful broken tooth and had to go. Although I was extremely anxious, Melissa put me at ease right away. I really cannot thank her enough. Dr. K was also very understanding and patient, taking great care with the more unpleasant aspects of what needed to be done to save my tooth. She did not overwhelm me by poking and prodding at all of my teeth, telling me all the things that needed to be done. She focused on the one tooth, which I greatly appreciated!! Both Melissa and Dr. K did an excellent job of communicating what they were doing every step of the way, which helped my anxiety tremendously! I had no dental insurance, so I was paying out of pocket for an expensive procedure. Eni went above and beyond to help me get the financing that made it possible. Otherwise, I probably would have lost my tooth due to the cheaper cost of an extraction. I did not get the name of the lady at the front desk (sorry about that) but she was very welcoming. That helped me as I was in a place I did not want to be, no offense intended to anyone. Seriously, I was so anxious that if anyone had been rude I would have walked out, broken tooth and all. At this practice, I felt safe and taken care of. THIS is where I want to go to get caught up on my dental care!! Many thanks to all who helped me!!

Fantastic experience: I am a new patience here and I had a wonderful experience. They had me in the back right away. Shannon was a wonderful hygienist and cleaned my teeth so well! Dr.Knuff (think that’s the correct spelling) made me feel so comfortable and she was also funny which makes me a better experience. Nobody wants to spend money at a dentist but if I’m gonna spend money on my teeth, I’m gonna do it here. Also, big shout out to TAMMY at the front with billing. She’s awesome and helpful!

Negative experience: I'm not sure why I didn't get any compassion or friendliness like the others. The dentist has absolutely no bedside manner. The sugary sweet "thank you's" are just an act. His helpers have absolutely no desire to comfort their patients, especially those who have a fear of the dentist. I will not return or recommend! I should have stayed with Konikoff!

Negative experience: I did not have a great experience here. The hygienist was really rough on my gums. I’ve never had such a painful cleaning, and I very much value routine cleanings, so I’ve had several. I won’t be going back.

Negative experience: I am not sure if there was a turn over in staff as this is the first time as a patient for over 4 years that I have had an issue. I called 96 hours ago and no one was available to answer my call after waiting over 10mins on hold. I figured the office might be closed for lunch so decided to leave a voicemail and requested a call back to reschedule my appointment due to travel. After 4 days of not hearing anything, I called again today to follow up. I was told by Amy that they cancelled my appointment to which I said that’s fine, I will keep it cancelled and find somewhere else, thanks and proceeded to hang up. Amy then called me back stating I hung up on her and made a point to tell me the notes said I wanted to cancel and would call to reschedule. When I told Amy that was not the right transcription of my message from Monday 8/11, Amy didn’t try to deescalate or apologize for the misunderstanding so reiterated that I will keep it cancelled and go somewhere else. I received an “Ok bye” end of phone call. Dawn and Dr Fitz were great during my 4 years of treatment but unfortunately will be looking elsewhere due to the Admin staff and no longer feeling like a valued customer.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist,scared of needles, scared of having my mouth stretched open and drilling and all that dentist stuff that goes on. Dr knuth and staff made my visits easy and I can proudly say this is the most amazing dentistry that I have ever been to!!! I've been in physical sports my whole life which caused a lot of dental issues as I became older and started to settle down I needed to get my mouth fixed properly. From poor fillings and dental work over the years all over the country and just teeth failing in general, needless to say I needed all new upper teeth. I do not have dental insurance so I went to four different dentists that were all highly recommended and nobody came close to Dr knuth at Lansdtowne dental. If I was going to spend what most people make in a year on all new teeth I wanted everything about Flawless. From scheduling and staff, to cleaning, molding, final casting etc the experience has been perfect. Over 1 year 7 trips all of my teeth are New, perfect and even. Top of the line equipment with Dr knuths experience made my visits pleasurable. I will continue to bring my business to landstown dental and recommend and refer everybody I know to do the same. :)

Negative experience: Dentist was great and thats about it. The staff and policies are ridiculous. I Will not be returning and I will make sure friends and family are aware. I had only a few appointments prior to this last one. I try to schedule appointment for cleaning well enough in advance. As expected they would call, email and text and confirm. The most recent correspondence i received at 2p the day before my appointment to confirm/remind of the appointment and the messaged ended with "see you soon." I arrive on time for my scheduled appointment to be told they gave my appointment away because they didnt received confirmation from me. My confirmation was confirmed when I made the appointment, never canceled anything. She mentioned it's their policy, which I understand policy my issued is with all the reminder that went out not one mentioned they had canceled my appointment. I left work early, wasted my afternoon and time. I explained I had never had to confirm before and still kept my appointment, I was told sometimes it works out like that but this time it didnt. Last time here

Fantastic experience: My visit to Landstown Dental was a very pleasant experience. The staff was polite and courteous. My Hygienist Toni was outstanding. I was so excited to see her again. It had been a while. Toni is a breathe of fresh air. I was so pleased with the level of care and attention to detail. Feel good to know people care!

Positive experience: I love the staff….. everyone is smiling and very accommodating… my dentist Dr. Knuth made me feel so comfortable.. she is very bubbly, fun, compassionate, knowledgeable, kind. I feel that she has my best interest at heart. Her assistant helping Dr Knuth on my last visit ( sorry didn’t get her name) was very kind, and compassionate. When I had my cleaning done.. I believe her name is Shannon. She was wonderful.. I will request her for my cleanings in the future. My entire experience was a “5” …. However, I feel that the lobby and registration area is EXTREMELY cold…… and I would prefer a second restroom ….

Negative experience: I gave this place 3 chances. If you want a practice that is professional and values your time this isn’t it. I was left sitting for nearly 1.5 hours past a filling appointment time due to being “short staffed”, had the dentist run out of the room after a different procedure before I could even ask a question, and a hygienist think it was normal and acceptable that I was left 45 minutes past my cleaning because she was working two rooms at once. They also kept my gold crown after removal and billed my insurance for an incomplete appointment. Keep looking!

Just a minor wish: if your equipment were more modern then you have now you wouldn’t have any competitors. The thing I noticed that is my dentist in Ukraine had modern equipment for cleaning teeth and used a thing to keep my mouth open all the time. I trust your team and definitely continue visiting your location!

Fantastic experience: They took me in and I had an abscessed tooth never had one before they're painful. They knew all of my allergies after I told him they saw the doctor records there was nothing they could do cuz they could not numb around the tooth to take care of the problem. They gave me a couple of references for an oral surgeon that was nice the staff was nice the doctor was nice made you feel at home

This office is the 1st office to tell me I had a condition in my mouth which I lived with for 42 years. My goal is to get my teeth cleaned four times a year. Negative experience: Hygienist had a horrible attitude, was very unprofessional! As soon as she found I wasn't thing to pay $1100 out of pocket and insurance taking care of the rest she was pissed, I spent 2 hours in there getting X-rays I said they could have gotten from my previous dentist 6 months ago they didn’t care, to top it off I never got the cleaning I was there for in the first place, so I don’t know what happened that day nor do I want to remember, would like to forget the whole experience. Place is way overpriced even the free tooth brush is expensive. The hygienist said that the dentist was the best ever, and when I said different her attitude got even worse then when I said I wasn't going to pay $1100 for a laser cleaning, now mind you I go to the dentist every 6 months but not this one. Not a place I would even recommend to someone I hate! Don’t go there. I would give 5 negative stars but not an option. Go at your own risk!

Positive experience: My dentist stopped taking Delta Dental, so I called several places, n they couldn't see me til summer n I wanted my teeth cleaned now....Soooo I was able to get an appt here, again I wanted my teeth cleaned, FYI IF u r a new patient, u will NOT get ur teeth cleaned, they do a consultation n come up with all this extra $ u have to pay. I am HIGHLY disappointed n probably will cancel my appointment...Sighed Dirty Teeth

They made me feel comfortable , from the front desk, to the hygienist , and when receiving my dental treatment. Fantastic experience: Thankfully I do not get nervous when I go to the dentist, but when it involves a procedure those nerves kick in. My most recent visit was for two fillings and I was shaking in my boots to put it lightly. The dental assistant and Dr. K made sure to talk me through the entire process and checked on me if they thought I might not be okay. They also allowed and even encouraged me to wear my headphones and listen to music. It was a great experience, which is never something I thought I would say about fillings! I definitely recommend Landstown Dental.

Negative experience: If I could leave no stars, I would. I came in for a follow up for an inflamed gum that had progressed so bad that I had bone showing. Your solution was to refer me to a periodontist (after assuring me you could take care of my issue) who wouldn’t even make an appointment with me until I gave them your name for what I can only assume was some sort of monetary kickback. Not only could I not make the appointment but it was 10 days out! Surely with your experience and my vocal opinion you would comprehend the huge amount of pain I was experiencing having necrotic bone exposed. I received no call back after leaving a message and was left to fend for myself, lest we forget the Hippocratic oath to do no harm comes to mind. Thankfully I found a wonderful dentist, Dr. Dag Zapatero with Starfish dental who not only fixed my problem but saw me the same day after describing what was going on and them recognizing the urgency in the situation. I will never recommend Landstown Dental and you should never consider giving them your business.

Negative experience: Horrible experience with this practice. Had heard great things about it. It has horrible follow-up. No empathy, horrible customer service. The doctor basically invalidated my pain and was more concerned with when my next cleaning appointment will be than my infected tooth. My jaw is still swollen and in pain, even though she said "oh the pain will leave after antibiotics" although I didn't believe that. After refusing to call in a set of antibiotics to tide me over to my appointment with an oral surgeon because surprise I am still in pain. Oral surgeon cannot see me for a month. I never leave reviews but the frustration and poor service I can't not review.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience, which is something you don't usually associate with a dentist. The entire staff is always professional and caring and that makes the overall experience easier to handle. Of course, you are always reminded to floss, it would not be a dentist visit without that.

Negative experience: I had high hopes when I visited Dr. Knuth, as she seems to have a genuinely sweet personality. However, my experience turned out to be a disaster. I initially went in for a routine cleaning and was recommended two crowns. I felt a bit rushed, and the office staff seemed overly pushy, insisting that this treatment was absolutely necessary and that I needed to get the work done immediately without seeking a second opinion. Against my better judgment, I agreed to proceed with the crowns. Unfortunately, this decision led to a series of complications. Dr. Knuth claimed there was a crack in one of my teeth that was the reason for needing the crown, but when I went to an endodontist for further evaluation, they couldn’t find any significant crack at all. The crack Dr. Knuth insisted was there turned out to be superficial, something that wouldn’t have caused any problems if left alone. To make matters worse, the crowns were not placed properly, resulting in significant discomfort and pain. After the procedure, things only got worse — the pain intensified, and I eventually had to undergo two root canals on the affected teeth. When the endodontist performed the root canal, she informed me that both teeth had in fact died as a result of Dr. Kunth’s work. It was a long, painful process, and the teeth are now beyond saving. I genuinely felt pressured into a decision I wasn't fully comfortable with, and the outcome has been devastating. While Dr. Knuth may have a warm and friendly demeanor, this experience has left me with severe, lasting dental issues. I wouldn't recommend her for anyone considering major dental work, especially without getting a second opinion first.

My previous dentist dropped my insurance and I came in as a new patient for a chipped tooth consultation and she was able to fit me in same day to get it fixed - less than an hour in and out! The whole staff was so great and friendly. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’m not sure how long I’ve been a patient here, but it’s consistently perfect on so many levels for what I believe to be the last 5 years or more. Dr Fitz and his team always go above and beyond to provide world-class proficiency of care and the customer service from every single employee in this building has been perfect every time. I’m old enough to know for sure that I do not want any other humans than Dr. Fitz and Shannon (the greatest hygienist of all time) wielding dentistry tools in my general direction.

Fantastic experience: Great location easy commute. My hygienist Toni is very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, dedicated, and comical. Toni always go the extra distance to explain critical concerns and procedure options. I started coming to Landstown Dental Care eight months ago. Fantastic experience: Courtney and Shannon were awesome during my visit. They explained everything and answered all my questions. On a billing note, I had 1 cleaning left for the year, but was told I was out of benefits. I wish there was better coordination between the insurance company and the dental office.
