Negative experience: My previous review was before my crown installation, It’s been about a year now, and I get pain from it almost daily because I have to constantly floss, I went in twice after they installed it letting them know about my discomfort. And Dr. Dihn told me it was normal And that I’ll have to floss regularly anyways. After every single meal, I have to have a floss on hand otherwise I developed a headache from it. Everyone else that I know of who’s had crowns done does not have this problem. And I addressed it twice to My Family Dental. This place has a ton of good reviews and I wish it was true for me as well, but it isn’t. Because my issue was passed off as ‘normal’ I no longer want to go back for any further issues regarding my teeth. Thanks for taking about $5000 from me

Negative experience: When I first came here, I came for Dr Kornegay. He was great but was semi-retired. Then Dr Chris was here and I was absolutely pleased with him, but then he left. I love my hygienist. I feel like now the wait times are longer and they overbook. Be prepared to wait over 1/2 hour plus in the waitroom. Also, if the doctor is having surgery, they should plan for the possibility of complications or delays and not overbook. Our time is just as valuable as theirs.

Dr. Kornegay is empathetic, supportive, kind, and generous with his time. His bedside manner is comforting, and he takes the time to make you feel heard and cared for—not just as a patient, but as a person. His genuine compassion shows in everything he does. I trust him so much that I now have my son seen there as well. One of the most unique and touching traditions in his office is the vase of fresh long-stemmed flowers kept by the checkout desk. After every appointment, you’re invited to take a flower home—often a colorful carnation paired with fresh foliage, and on special occasions, a rose. Wrapped simply but beautifully, it becomes a small bouquet that brightens your day. While it might seem like a small gesture to some, to me it speaks volumes about the kind of person Dr. Kornegay is. I believe it shows that he truly loves what he does, truly values his patients, and genuinely cares about them. He wants his patients to know they are appreciated, that they brighten his day, and that he hopes to brighten theirs in return. This thoughtful tradition, combined with his outstanding dental expertise, is why I have never once considered going anywhere else. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to My Family Dental since my previous dentist retired, and I’m pleasantly pleased with my choice. The hygienist was extremely thorough, kind, and patient—especially while taking X-rays, as I have a strong gag reflex. Dr. Korengay was also very delightful , introduced himself warmly, and took the time to review and explain my X-rays. I consider this as my new regular dental office now!

Ms Barbara did a wonderful job completing my X-ray and exam, Ms M(can’t remember here name) was awesome also. Me and DR K had to do some caught up stories before he completed my exam, he was delightful as away even tho he haded seen me in years, it was just like it was yesterday. Fantastic experience: I had my six month exam and cleaning today at My Family Dental and was fortunate enough to have Jennie as my hygienist again. What a lovely caring and considerate person she is. She and Dr. K always make going to the dentist so much less stressful for me. I will never change dentist, no matter what.

Fantastic experience: My Family Dental is a wonderful place to go when you need dental care. Dr. Kornegay has taken care of me for many years and I let a new painful problem go longer than necessary. When I called and found he was there a couple of days a week, I took the next available, which was this morning. He was great, as usual, but I was also very impressed with the staff nurse who did great with the x-rays and in dealing with a very large man who’s always been “filled with fear” in a dental-chair. I’m looking forward to going back and trying to get “all types of visits that I’m behind-on” back on schedule. A great visit!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist office I’ve ever been to! Dr. Sargent helped remove a really tough root and was super communicative and gave me breaks to rest and helped me through some dental anxiety, super professional and caring. She even helped me out when I left an emergency voicemail after office hours because there was a problem with my pain med prescription at the pharmacy and she helped get that taken care of so I wouldn’t have to go a day with pain. Plus they give you a flower every time you finish an appointment, just all around very sweet and caring staff, thanks so much :)

Fantastic experience: As life happens, things don't always go as planned. Got a crown, temporary was done and crown came in. Went to put it in but there was a major gap, they kept apologizing but they didn't want to install one that would give me more issues later. Glad they were honest and caring and they aren't in dentistry just for the money. Went back and got my crown put on, just amazing work and worth the wait. 100% recommend for anyone!

Fantastic experience: What a great dental clinic. Everyone was kind and understanding. My hygenist, Cheyenne was sooo patient and had a soft touch. The Dr Sargent was gentle, easy to follow, and explained all my options. A very refreshing experience. I just had some work done. Oh my God, Dr Sargent was absolutely amazing. As good as, if not better than Dr Kornegay, who is slowly retiring.

Positive experience: There were several mistakes that started with the schedule. I was to have 4 fillings replaced, and I was my appointment was for 3:00. I was given a form to fill out in the procedure room. I had been waiting for a while in waiting room and could have completed the form in the waiting room. The dentist was very nice and very young. While she was drilling, my face and glasses were covered in water three times and nothing was done to stop the dripping going down to my neck. The appointment took too long. The office staff that had to wait for us to finish. No other patients were there. I was in that dental chair way too long. Dr. Kornegay would never allow a patient to be treated as I was treated. One tooth that was to look like new, still has a stain showing. You ask for an account of my appointment. Jo Russell
