Negative experience: Had veneers done spent a lot of money hoping for quality and customer satisfaction. 3 are significantly shorter tried to resolve this for over a year- no one cares enough to help- ask 20x times to speak with Dr John. I gave them a significant amount of time to try and rectify things before leaving a bad review. Just wanted my teeth to be even and did not think I should have to pay for their mistake. Big disappointment would hate to tell you to avoid this place but it’s not worth it and my teeth are no where near what they should be for what I paid. I smile and I have people telling me the teeth are uneven.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time. I have had 3 appointments with JJ Dental. Every time I arrive early and they are always late. Earliest I was seen was 15 minutes after my appointment and my first visit they were 30 minutes late. Fastest cleanings I have ever had. I have only seen the dentist once. In my entire life, ever visit to past dentists the primary dentist always made it a point to see me before I left the office. This place.... They don't care. Always into upselling every patient. Three of my friends have been there and on their initial visit they were told they had several cavities. All B.S. They have no respect for anybody's time but their own. Dentist is all about the $$$ and just turns and burns the chair with patients. When I wait 30 minutes to be seen and the entire cleaning only takes 20 minutes there's an issue. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: This is an incredible dentistry practice. If you need a specialist they are brought to you at their office. This time I went for a cleaning with Anthony. He is far beyond a dental hygienist. Anthony spots problems and is able to take care of them immediately before they become a huge issue. He errs on the side of caution taking an X-ray to ensure the problem is not beyond his ability to deal with it. My better half is now also a client and he loves this practice. And that is from a dental phobic perspective!! The practice is not cheap but you get what you pay for!! An outstanding dental experience.

Fantastic experience: I am 64, and have had extra l extensive dental work through my years. This is the first dentist I've been where I have had NO pain. Not even during the novacaine shot! No discomfort at all even after the work. The office staff is great also! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. I was insecure about smiling because of old crowns that did not match color wise. First I did KOR whitening which worked great. The replacement crowns match up so well that now i forget which ones they are. Dr Rudy Carballo is meticulous and truly wants you to look your best. I don't live nearby but it's certainly worth the drive.

Fantastic experience: Another update: I had an appointment to have my teeth cleaned yesterday by Olga (who is terrific, by the way) and mentioned I was having a problem with one of my molars which my previous dentist (years and years ago) did. Dr. John came in and said he could fix it after Olga was finished. I was surprised that he would take the time while I was there without another appointment. He fixed it so quickly and painlessly that I was truly astonished. But, yesterday’s experience once again proved to me what a great dentist he is and how terrific his whole staff is. I can’t recommend his practice highly enough. This is an update on my review below from five years ago. JJ Dental is the best dental office I have ever been to, and I have been around for a long time. I had to see Dr. John Stefon yesterday, as one of my veneers fell off due to my biting into a frozen chocolate. Dumb, I know. He couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. He saw me immediately and offered two solutions to fix my problem. He is compassionate and understand and a perfectionist which is right up my alley. As a matter of fact, his whole staff, including the front office staff, is superb. Olga, who cleans my teeth three times a year is equally good. Obviously, I am a big fan of this office and recommend JJ Dental without reservation. Having moved recently to Fort Lauderdale from NYC, we were looking for a dentist. After doing exhaustive research, we settled on JJ Dental. Well, we could not be happier. The entire staff is terrific, and Dr. John, whom I saw, is not only a great dentist, he is also compassionate, funny and an artist. I say artist, as he is doing veneers for me, and his attention to detail is astonishing. I am thrilled with the veneers. I recommend his and his office to anyone and everyone I talk to. On my visit today, I saw Dr. Dunn. Also terrific. I can’t say enough good things about JJ Dental. They are the best. This was an emergency visit, and they took me right in. No wait. No fuss. I have had a lot of dentists in my life, but no one compares to the dentists or the staff at JJ Dental.

Last year, I had a dental issue that was only temporarily fixed elsewhere, but it clearly needed more serious attention this time around. I reached out to JJ Dental, and from the very beginning, they were incredible. They brought me in for a thorough consultation, clearly explained the best approach, and scheduled me for a cleaning. After that, they handled several necessary fillings. Throughout the entire process, they made sure I was comfortable, completely pain-free, and truly satisfied with the results. Now, just two days later, my teeth feel perfect. Don’t be swayed by any negative reviews—my experience was the exact opposite. Negative experience: Had a crown fall out after 16 months!!. Dr recommended a 8k implant. Had huge problems with front office person. 2 weeks after the implant went in it fell out. Every appointment was a different dentist. Asked 3 times to speak to dentist/owner with no response. Numerous appt mistakes. Told dentist I should probably go to the other office he said fine. Other office was surprised to see me there after years with other dr. I spent 2 min telling them why. Next thing I know received my records in mail. I guess they had a problem with discussion or didn’t want to stand behind their work. Too many other disappointments to mention.. the no call from the dr after years of business was the final straw. He either didn’t get the message or didn’t care to talk to a patient.

Negative experience: THIEFS ! DISHONEST & DISAPPOINTING ! my overall experience was incredibly frustrating and felt deceptive. I came in for a routine cracked tooth repair—something my insurance has always covered with a minimal copay—and was suddenly quoted NEARLY $500 out of pocket. I double-checked with both the office and my insurance provider, who confirmed it should have been covered, yet they refused to bill it properly or help resolve the issue. It felt like they were more interested in charging me directly than working with my insurance. I left feeling taken advantage of and extremely disappointed. Thankfully, I ended up going to Ideal Dental in Hollywood, where they handled the exact same procedure with professionalism, transparency, and no surprise charges AND MY INSURANCE COVERED IT AFTER ALL.

Fantastic experience: Today, I had another great dental visit today! The team was professional and friendly, making sure I was comfortable the whole time. I had my routine cleaning, and my teeth feel amazing! The hygienist was gentle and thorough, giving me great tips to keep my teeth healthy. Amazing office!

Negative experience: Very friendly staff in person & via phone. I went here because I was looking for work with a free consultation. The nice young lady that got me the appointment was VERY informative but there was NO MENTION of the $160 fee. As a matter of fact if you Google" free consultation dentists" JJ is at the top of the list! The prices are a little steep compared to other places I've gone to for a deep cleaning. They quoted me over $1,000 just for a deep cleaning. Dr. Rudy was nice & informative. My x-rays were painful, something I've never experienced before. Technician was nice but it was a longer than usual, painful process.

Negative experience: Went in as a new patient. My teeth were in good shape but they refused to do a cleaning unless I paid $1500 for a deep cleaning. The person at the front desk went as far as lying and saying that they would make things worse if they did a regular cleaning without the deep clean. I consulted with a friend of mine who was a dentist (but not on my insurance) who confirmed my suspicion that I did not need deep cleaning. Upon reading some of the reviews, it seems this is what they always do. The place is lovely inside, and I’m sure once you’re an established patient it’s a good experience, but they don’t do cleanings for new patients.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous about coming here as a lot of the reviews seemed too positive and likely fake, sprinkled with 1 star bad reviews. I’ve had previous dental experiences that left me with disappointment, anxiety, and anger so I was very cautious with researching a new dentist to go to. Every dentist has reviews of the same nature (either 5 stars or 1 star horror stories) so I was apprehensive, but decided fine, I will try this one out. So far, I am happy with my first visit. I had an initial consult and a bonding removal/polishing procedure (15 min procedure). Dr. Dunn was professional and quick, his assistant with the wavy/curly hair was really kind and empathetic towards my anxiety. I’m happy with the results of my procedure. They were upfront about the pricing and gave us receipts to sign and copies to take home. The front desk women were quick and timely and did their best to help us with scheduling as we requested. There was a discrepancy in the information of what I was told and what one of the ladies announced to me at the end of the visit, but I wasn’t met with disdain for my questioning, and the lady responded to me professionally. I feel a little more relieved and will continue to trust them in the future…

Negative experience: Please DO NOT come to this place!!! I’m being a patient for over 3 years and they didn’t care that I was having a really BAD dental emergency and I really needed some help. I called them all day begging them to see someone and they didn’t care. The lady who was taking my call told me if I was in such a need and pain “ Go to the ER I don’t know what else I can tell you sorry” really sending me to the ER was gonna help me ? then I asked her if she can refer me to a place o suggest any other place to go and her responses was “ We don’t have any idea”. Really ? What an unprofessional and careless staff. I will NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE also my partner and friends who are patients there as well had a bad experience in the past and they will never go back to them!! What an awful place!!

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience – Lacking Professionalism and Care I had a disappointing experience at this office. During my cleaning, the dental hygienist was aggressive and harsh—definitely not what you want during what should be a routine visit. I wasn’t overly concerned at first, assuming the dentist would come in to review her work, as is standard practice. However, I was informed that a dentist would only see me once a year for x-rays, which was surprising and felt unprofessional. This wasn’t my first visit, and unfortunately, there were red flags before. On my initial visit, I was required to pre-pay before even sitting in the chair—something I found unusual and off-putting, as it seemed to imply distrust. They also made me pre-pay for a future appointment. I also couldn’t shake the feeling that they were searching for unnecessary issues to “fix.” If you’re looking for a quick 20-minute cleaning with minimal oversight and a focus on upselling, this might be the place for you. But if you value thorough care and a more traditional, patient-focused approach, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: **A Restored Smile with Dr. Rudy and Staff!** I had both upper and lower veneers done to fix my severely worn and chipped teeth, which had left me feeling too self-conscious to smile. Dr. Rudy expertly addressed all my concerns and assured me that my new teeth wouldn’t look fake or bulky. Not only did he give me a natural-looking smile, but he also provided a “smile lift” that enhanced my facial features and skin tone. In addition the entire staff at the office is engaged, friendly, and genuinely eager to serve you. Fantastic experience: Great experience with Dr Rudy! I had 4 upper veneers done at another reputable, very good location but just wasn’t good enough- didn’t look natural- too thick, too white. So I had them re-done and WOW! Doc gave me exactly what I needed for my face and skin tone. We tried different colors and natural features, and now they blend in with my other natural teeth and look amazing! As an extra bonus, everyone in the office is extra nice, always in a great mood and just looked like they were enjoying the day which made my experience even better. Worth every penny. Fantastic experience: A crown put on my back lower tooth by a prior dentist in LA came off after biting down hard on a seed. I took it in w me to a routine cleaning that happened to already be on the books for just a week hence. I REALLY appreciated that Dr. John didn’t unnecessarily advise replacing the crown, but rather assessed honestly that all that needed to be done was to re-cement the crown, and further, he did so at no charge. And the cleaning itself, by Hygienist, Anthony, was itself thorough, professional and done w great care! I’m grateful!

Each dentist and specialist that I visited took high tech X-rays but was not able to see a problem. Olga was able to take X-rays and noticed a problem area. I am so grateful that I was able to get someone to at least notice and try to resolve. We think the issue has been resolved (fingers crossed)

Fantastic experience: JJ Dental is wonderful in all areas. Most importantly, the dentists and dental hygienists are extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I have very sensitive teeth, and my wonderful dental hygienist Massiel does the cleaning manually to reduce discomfort for me. I am very confident that if I ever have an issue, they will catch it before it becomes a big problem and they will give me all of the options to handle it (which they did when they fixed an old root canal for me!) What makes my dental visits actually enjoyable though, is the friendliness of the staff. Absolutely everyone in the office is kind and positive. I live close by, so whenever anyone from the office sees me walking my dog, they always say hi. Massiel spends time to catch up on my life when I go in for a cleaning and she actually remembers everything we talk about, even though she has so many patients! For the first time in my life, going to the dentist is a positive experience. I cannot possibly give a stronger recommendation for JJ Dental.

Fantastic experience: I only leave reviews if my experience is amazing or horrid.. JJ Dental significantly impacted my life today. I have struggled for a few years with the effects of a medical condition that at one point stripped my front teeth of enamel. This has caused me to struggle for the past few years to even smile because There was nothing I could do to restore the damage, And insurance would not assist because the front teeth are considered cosmetic, Meaning the cost is outrageous. I had a work related accident, causing me to have to go to the dentist and Dentist offices Have always been a shameful or embarrassing experience since my teeth lost the enamel. Not only were all the staff so kind and compassionate, but my dentist gently addressed the obvious issue with my front teeth while trying to take care of the emergency situation.. And offered to do a repair .. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not really the emotional type.. But Today after both he and his amazing assistant worked on my teeth and handed me a mirror, I could not help but feel such a deep gratitude Resulting in happy tears.. We all have our things that we wish we could fix or we hope no one mentions, but today brought me such a great sense of appreciation and a newfound joy to smile with confidence. Every staff member is so kind and personable from the moment you walk in! For somebody who dreads going to a dentist JJ dental has made not only my day, but I even look forward to the holidays now and I’ve already been taking selfies Just because I feel a lot more confident. I truly believe they go to work with a mindset that today is not just another day at work. I’m not great at expressing such cheesy emotions, but they absolutely deserve to be recognized not only for their amazing skills but they thoughtfulness and care about somebody like me, Who is afraid of being judged. Fantastic experience: I can’t say more about JJ Dental my teeth feel amazing after the deep cleaning yesterday Technician Anthony, who worked on my mouth was over-the-top professional clean educating patient couldn’t say more. I had to buy him a steak dinner I was so impressed. Crystal Who works in the office along with the office? Staff accommodated me very quickly they accepted my insurance my wife and son. Go there now as well. I highly recommend anyone looking for a good dentist to use them.

Fantastic experience: I contacted JJ Dental for an emergency visit for a broken tooth. They saw me that day and even had time to fix it with a crown no less. I am terrified of the dentist and explained that to them. When I tell you they are awesome! I didn’t even feel the novocaine going in. Positive experience: I’ve been working with Dr John for the past year to straighten lower teeth with Invisalign treatments. He has been easy to work with through my travels and schedule. The road has been tedious at times, with occasional long waits to see him, but everyone at JJ Dental have been nothing but awesome and helpful. Today I feel at last…. the end result is finally here and I am completely satisfied. Thank you Dr J for your patience. I like perfection, even though you told me from the start I’d get near perfection and today after a few tweaks, I think we nailed it!!!

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had a wonderful experience with Dr. John DeStefon. I needed my veneers replaced after 20 years, and he did an amazing job. The quality of the material they use is excellent, and that does make a difference so your teeth look natural. He guided me to make sure the color I picked was genuine and not too bright, and that the various length of the teeth looked natural versus all one length. I came to appreciate both these things when I see other people that did not get the same result. I get so many people complimenting my smile and that's such a nice feeling. Their prices are in line with others but I firmly believe you get a great value considering the quality of the material and expertise.

Fantastic experience: JJ Dental has been my dental home for over a decade. Even when I moved out of downtown Lauderdale I have continued to go there because the staff and Dr John are second to known. The customer service is something that gets lost in today’s world but not at JJ Dental. Amazing staff and Dr John is a good as you will find from a general cleaning to crowns. Fantastic experience: There are no words to properly express my gratitude for the treatment I received from this dental practice and every individual I encountered for the past 48 hours. I was struggling with severe nerve pain in my cheek as well as a loose filling that had resulted from negligence at my prior dentist. When the pain was more than I could tolerate I was referred to JJ Dental and after reading the reviews I was hopeful that I would find help for my pain. Dr. Rob is nothing short of amazing and a perfectionist with his craft. He had an answer for every question that I directed his way and he sat with me trouble shooting the pain until we had a treatment plan in place. He found the source of the pain as well as placing two new permanent crowns in my mouth in under 2 hours. Today I successfully chewed food on both sides of my mouth, which I haven’t been able to do for months. My crowns were such a perfect fit thanks to 3D imaging and the skill of this office that my Invisalign retainers that I arrived with still fit after the treatment. My insurance was accepted and filed within 24 hours. The office coordinator squeezed me in the first day they returned after a holiday weekend despite my being a new patient. The office is clean, beautiful and efficient. If you are in need of a new dentist, look no further. The staff as well as Dr. Rob will make it the easiest transition you could imagine.

Fantastic experience: JJ Dental is leaps beyond any practice I’ve ever visited. That’s the reason they’ve earned my ongoing patronage as a patient for close to a decade now. My only regret is I wish I found them sooner. I’ve received fillings, root canals, caps/crowns, cleanings, emergency visits for bonding, Invisalign and veneers through them. Zero complaints. I’d challenge anyone to find a better practice in Broward.

Fantastic experience: Cute clean office with such happy and friendly staff. I was surprised to see such great energy at a dentist office but it was refreshing. I got a teeth cleaning and it went great. They were very informative along the way and the cleaning seemed to go quickly. The dentist was very nice and communicative and honest. Fantastic experience: I had my first visit yesterday. Everyone was great and super friendly. Dr. John made me feel comfortable as I have had several bad experiences with dentists in the past. I felt like my heart was beating out of my chest so the lovely girl who took my X-rays quickly took my blood pressure and my pulse was 121. After being in the chair in a few minutes I quickly calmed down and the rest of the visit was seamless. The reason for my visit was that I had a crown come off of my implant and they got me in right away. I am so happy I found them.

Fantastic experience: I have been using the dental services of J & J Dental since 2019. I have always been very impressed by their level of professionalism and care. They use very modern and state of the art dental tools and technology; from the bi-yearly check ups and cleanings, to fillings and crowns.

Negative experience: Went in for a regular cleaning, got sold on a deep cleaning that I probably didn’t need… After that they told me I needed to change some filings, worst mistake ever, is been longer than a year and my teeth still hurt which sucks because I had 0 issues before. Told them about it on the following visits because they asked how it felt and they just dismissed it, a few months after they told me I needed to swap the fillers on the other side, and told them I wouldn’t…. Place really sucks only positive thing about it is the cool dogs and the friendly front desk. I really really miss being able to eat pain free :(

Negative experience: Not at all happy. 1st visit they charged me $650 outside of my insurance, for a deep cleaning, I'm not sure I really needed. Never really explained why I needed it. Never had any issues before. And charged me before I even got the procedure. Then booked me an appointment 3 months later then canceled it the day before, with out my authority. When I book an appointment I expect you to honor our agreement. They seem more interested in making money than caring about their patients. I was on the fence about this practice now I'm looking for a new Dentist.

Anthony’s the beat hygienist and constantly asking how I’m doing while giving me the best clean ever. Dr Rudy is a great dentist explains treatment and provides options. Fantastic experience: After breaking my teeth in an accident when I was kid, I got veneers when I was really young that had run their course and needed to be replaced. Im thankful I found JJ Dental after a negative experience at another dentist nearby. I had a bad cant and also a severe gummy smile that I wanted to correct but I was terrified of the gum surgery. My case was pretty complicated. Dr. Pike (periodontist) and Dr. Rudy (DDS) were obvious experts and also extremely kind and compassionate and made me feel completely confident and at ease. They worked as a team on my case which was a huge relief after being passed from specialist to specialist without them communicating with one other at the other dentist. Dr. Pike eliminated my gummy smile and it was a totally painless, easy experience. Dr Rudy kept coming in throughout the procedure to check on me. Dr. Rudy was endlessly patient with me and created my dream smile including all of my nitpicky details and I could not be happier. Unlike the other dentist, he noticed my cant immediately and corrected it. My teeth look so natural. Don’t go anywhere else in Fort Lauderdale for veneers. Thank you Dr. Rudy, Dr. Pike and the entire team at JJ Dental.

They do not hound you harass you call you to spend money with them. They take care of you! They make you feel like you’re at home they didn’t excellent job replacing my veneer with a crown.
