Fantastic experience: Dr. Megan Thomas is a kind and amazing provider. She is a knowledgeable, and an incredibly talented artist who can give you the smile you have always dreamed of! She is well worth the 260 miles (round trip drive) I live in an area where most can afford to pay for the “best of the best “ however I chose to go where I have a “daughter” who works for this amazing doctor. I must say Tiffany Walters led me to the most incredible dentist! She is caring and sincere. Please don’t miss this opportunity!

Positive experience: Attentive staff, dental hygienist, was very patient and took care of the concerns I had. The approach applied to the teeth cleaning was firm but gentle. The DDM I was assigned to presented a realistic approach into further dental care. I was pleased overall.

Positive experience: My routine cleaning was great. Only thing my problem was waiting outside when the door was lock at your apartment time and you arrive ten minutes early waiting in the hot weather with out customer so I got back in my car to stay out the heat.

Negative experience: I would love to say that I have had the pleasure of meeting the dental team at Melbourne Family Dental. I called today to check to see if the practice took my United Concordia plan. I have a broken crown that is causing pain and I am struggling to find a dentist that is in network with my specific plan. I was met with a very apathetic and somewhat rude receptionist. She was unwilling to help, but also laughed at me when I asked if she could check if they were in network, mocking me for wanting to give her my insurance information. It is very disheartening to be met with such a lack of empathy when you are struggling and in pain. As for the care team, I cannot give a rating, but with a 4.9 rating, I imagine that they are excellent. It's unfortunate that my first introduction to the practice was what it was.....

Negative experience: My husband didn't have a good experience at all and I feel bad because I recommended him to go because I go and my experience was great but for him they just simply looked n his mouth saw all the calcified bones and didn't recommend anything in fact he says he simply looked say oh u have a lot of bones and that's it and went back to his last patient. He completely ignored the problem! So because of that experience he won't go back. And I can't blame him so now I'm on the hunt for a dentist who really and truly cares genuinely for the patient not just for the ones that look more like him, because our skin color is not the same so...

Fantastic experience: Due to Melbourne Family Dental's large staff of Hygienists (5);  Both husband and myself had the opportunity to complete our 6 month dental cleanings at the same time.  Our 1st cleaning at Melbourne Family Dental proved to be the most complete examination, evaluation & cleaning that either one of us have ever experienced!  We both emerged from the office surprised and enlightened with the quality of service we received at Melbourne Family Dental.  Since we both have been "Seniors" for many years now, we've spent a significant time in the dental chair over the years, with many dentists/hygienists from different Cities and States.  I also worked as a Dental Assistant for sometime.  Both my husband and myself were very impressed with the up to date technology, patient focus and talent of the entire staff along with how expertly they work as a team.  Their professionalism is truly outstanding!  I was specifically impressed at the expertise of my hygienist, Cara;  She had the most confident commanding control over the scaling portion of my cleaning than I've ever experienced! When I shared that info with my husband, he too said that he experienced the same with his hygienist.   We departed our visit knowing we are in the right hands for our Dental Care.  The confidence that they exude in their work, at Melbourne Family Dental, has translated into our confidence in the decision that we have made to accept them as our Family Dentist.  We recommend them as your Family Dentist as well!  Thanks to them for OUTSTANDING care & service!

Fantastic experience: From the very first phone interaction with Holly I knew this was the place for us. She was so helpful getting my whole family set up with appointments. We then had our 1st appointment for my daughter with Devan. This was her 1st ever visit to the dentist. Devan was amazing with her. He made her and I feel comfortable from the start. His hands were light as butterflies in her mouth and made the whole experience wonderful. She met the dentist and again was put right at ease. I can't say enough about how pleased we are to be patients here. Great job Devan, Holly and everyone

Negative experience: I originally gave this place a 5-star rating, but after this morning’s experience, I felt compelled to update it. I recently switched insurance providers and, before my appointment, double-checked my new provider’s website to ensure this location was still listed as in-network—it was. When I arrived, I gave the receptionist my new insurance card and completed the usual paperwork. Shortly after, she informed me that my insurance was not accepted. I explained that I had confirmed it was in-network, and her response was a curt, “Well, the websites can be wrong.” She then asked, with no empathy or initiative, “Would you like me to call them?”—as if it were a hassle. I declined and left. Within 10 minutes, I confirmed with my provider by phone that the location is in-network. They even contacted the office directly and clarified the confusion. It turned out they do accept my coverage, but she hadn’t taken the time to verify properly. If she had simply made the call or shown even a bit of willingness to help, this could’ve been resolved on the spot. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and frustrated. My wife and I have been loyal patients here for years, but after this experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
