Fantastic experience: After years of not having a dentist, I discovered them when I fractured a tooth and was in a lot of pain. I didn't have a dentist (due to severe trust issues and anxiety caused by dentists in the past) and needed to get an initial appointment for xrays, ect. Edgewood Dental was the only dentist able to get me in same day without being a patient, and I was very thankful for them. They were helpful and I could tell they cared. I went back to fix a chipped tooth and get a crown. They did an amazing job! I currently have an a appointment scheduled to go back for some fillings and a cleaning and don't feel anxious about it at all! I know they're going to go above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable and the work they do is going to be great. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've only been coming here for a little while, but it's a really nice and welcoming place. Every staff member I've ever interacted with has been helpful, kind and courteous. I think if you don't like going to the dentist you wouldn't mind as much going here. Julie was my dental hygienist today and she did a fantastic job. I have a couple spots that have been painful with other dental offices and when I mentioned them she was really great about accommodating those areas while still doing a thorough job.

Fantastic experience: From making our initial appointments over the phone to our first visit, the staff we interacted with were all very friendly. Hygienist Ashley was very personable and so was Dr Peak. After needing to find a new dentist, and not finding one in our rural IN area, we took our daughter’s recommendation to try Edgewood Dental Care. We drove an hour to get there, but we are glad we did!

I recommend Edgewood Dental to all! Thank you again, KATHLEEN. Once again, I received the absolute best dental care during my visit on September 15, 2023. I actually needed to postpone my already scheduled visit, due to the fact that I’ve been in Chicago taking care of my three grandsons, while my son is at Northwestern Hospital awaiting a heart transplant. Whoever I spoke to on the phone went above and beyond finding me a cancellation on the 15th with someone other than Carissa, my regular and exceptional hygienist. When I arrived, the friendly, efficient receptionist greeted me and checked me in quickly. I had barely sat down, when the door opened and I heard my name called. As I stood and looked up, I saw Carissa, who had opted to come in on her day off to help out on a very busy day and to take care of me! She already knew about my son, and was not only typically friendly, kind, knowledgeable, skilled, and thorough, but also so dear to give me a moment to talk about my family’s situation. My X-rays were the latest in equipment, (as is always the case with Dr. McMahon’spractice!) including pictures of my front teeth. This appointment was pleasant, painless, and effective and made me feel so well cared for.

Fantastic experience: No one enjoys going to the dentist (at least, no one I know!), but I truly appreciate the professionalism and kindness that Edgewood Dental Care consistently shows to their patients. Dr. Middendorf is incredibly knowledgeable and never makes me feel like he's recommending things to raise the price tag on the visit. Sandra Gray was my dental hygienist, and she was utterly delightful! She was gentle and warm and incredibly caring. I actually did enjoy my time speaking with her! I highly recommend this office for all of your dental care needs.

Fantastic experience: I’m always a little anxious when I go to the dentist. I have not been happy with my teeth for awhile but I never felt like I had a dentist listen to my concerns or point me in the right direction to somehow who could help me achieve what I wanted. That all changed today. I saw Carissa and Dr. McMahon who were both absolutely fantastic. Carissa eased my anxiety by throughly explaining everything that was happening. Dr. McMahon was so nice and listened to all my concerns and explained his plan and how he will fix it all. I am actually excited to go to the dentist now and move forward with the team at Edgewood Dental.

Fantastic experience: 3-25-25 5 Dr. Peake is a top notch Dentist and a very good caring person. When I first greet him I always say I know you are helping alot of people everyday. He skillfully removed then reinstalled a gold inlay that had loosened. Excellent. Previous review Always top notch caring professional service from check in to check out. Dr. Peake is the best Dentist I have ever had in my 68 years. His Dental Assistant Lauren created the composite repair perfect plus her communications supportive and informative as progress is made.

Took plenty of time with me and not just rushing to next patient. I lost my dentist of over 20 years as Delta Dental was no longer taken. I had a bad experience at another office. So glad I found this office. My wife will be calling to switch to this office as well.

My hygienist was very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. The dentist came in and did an examination and we discussed a cosmetic procedure I want to do. Fantastic experience: As embarrassing as it is to say, yesterday was my first time going to the dentist in over 10 years. I had recently had a pretty big oral surgery that had to take place, so this was a follow up for next steps. Brandy, the hygienist & Dr Middendorf were nothing but kind, friendly and understanding. On many occasions they took a second to stop and answer any and every question I had. They never once made me feel embarrassed, uncomfortable or shameful. Instead, they helped devise a plan for getting back on track while working with my financial needs. I highly recommend if you have anxiety surrounding the dentist, check them out!

Fantastic experience: I love Edgewood Dental in general - and Dr. Peak in particular. However, over the last year they have instituted a Vendor to reach out through texts, emails, carrier pigeons to reach out, starting weeks ahead, of your scheduled appointment. It is WAY too much and intrusive. I was texted multiple times, emailed and called. I entered C for confirm multiple times, I acknowledged multiple times. TOO much. It is borderline harassment. Have them change their metrics to send lessen the number of times - and once you have confirmed - NO MORE!

Negative experience: Every doctors office I’ve ever called in my life has been able to tell me if they take my particular insurance over the phone with just a few simple bits of information. These guys said I had to set a appt, then come in and fill out all the new patient paperwork to even find out if they take my insurance. I felt like I misunderstood her. She reassured me that’s exactly what she said. That is inefficient for an office and shows lack of care and concern for the new patient. I think they’re just too busy to give a damn.

Negative experience: This office had my elderly mother signed up for a subscription based program for which they did not explain it was a recurring payment. 150 up front then 40 a month knowing she's on fixed income and on dialysis. Then the kicker is the program they put her on doesn't even cover what she went in for ( she was lookin for quotes for partial bridges/dentures) so instead they advise her to sign up for care credit which is simply just a credit card you can pay medical expenses with, again not actually educating her on any of these things just being sale people its disgusting that people in healthcare anymore are more worried about upselling you some back handed bull shit than actually providing personalized genuine advice. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. P.S. they also refused to help her cancel the membership over the phone or in person but they sure did take the opportunity to sign her up and take her money in person.

Fantastic experience: I had the most enjoyable experience today my 1st time at Edgewood Dental Care. Karissa, the hygenist, was wonderful. Not only was she thorough, but super-friendly and kind. After leaving the Natalie Lawson practice, I didn't feel the constant pressure to buy goods and services I neither wanted nor needed. It was a breath of fresh air. I'm so happy to have a new dentist.

Negative experience: First off I have visited multiple times and had great service until my last visit. The hygienist was talking conspiracy theories regarding the presidential election. Stating her law enforcements friends were telling her Marshall law was going to be implemented if one candidate won and that protests like the BLM movements would ruin the cities if the other candidate won. I was there for my teeth not for conspiracies and do not plan to return based on this visit. Sandra ruined the dental treatment for me. If these are the employees they support I would rather my teeth fall out than to return. Prior to this I thoroughly enjoyed my visits and Sandra was a delight until she spewed conspiracies at work, I guess she was comfortable thinking I would agree with her , IDK where the comfort to spew hate came from but it was there and disgusting.

Every staff member is joyful, helpful, and kind. They’ve always made me feel comfortable, listened to me, and have made me a lot more confident about my teeth (smile).Thank you for taking such great care of me EDC!! Means a lot!! Oh and they’re also pretty flexible when it comes to scheduling :)

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend, Sandra was exceptional. She was thorough, gentle and educational. She explained each process she was doing and why and how I can improve my cleaning technique.

Negative experience: Don’t go here. The staff is rude and the dentist is only interested in how much he can make off your mouth. Been waiting on a referral for months. (The building is not ADA compliant, do not go here if you aren’t able to take steep steps or a long ramp.) Wish I could go back in time to pick a different dentist for my mom.

Fantastic experience: I had my very first appointment with Edgewood Dental today. I really loved that my dental technician, Ashley, explained what she was doing as she was doing it. She was kind, and super sweet. I was mostly nervous about meeting the dentist as I've had bad experiences in the past with dentists who were condescending or rude. That was NOT the case with Dr. Middendorf. He was SO kind, and SO polite. He made small talk to get to know me before jumping into the thick of things. He didn't belittle or admonish me for the issues I'm having. It was honestly the best dental experience I've ever had. I'm really looking forward to continuing to work with them to improve my issues. Fantastic experience: Toni the dental hygienist was super quick AND thorough. After 10 years of not going to the dentist, she made me feel comfortable and left my teeth feeling clean! Dr. Peak made things less scary and explained exactly what we needed to do for our next visit. The receptionists were all very nice as well.

Fantastic experience: I've had a lot of rough, painful cleanings but I get good, thorough, gentle ones at Edgewood in the last couple years. I also like all the dentists there and I get good bite guards to help with night time grinding.
