Negative experience: Finally met with the Dentist and he was horribly rude. Do NOT go here. I’ve never met a Dr who didn’t like his job this blatantly obvious. People take off work to come get their teeth cleaned. Not only are we paying you for your service but we are losing money while using your service. Absolutely no reason to be so unprofessional and hot headed. The nurses and assistants are all very nice but the dentist refused to work on me bc I was 10 minutes late getting out of work, he didn’t even want to hear anything I had to say, wouldn’t even look at my mouth or an x ray. Thank you for nothing. 0/5 star service when you actually see the dentist.

Negative experience: If I could give -0 I would. Do not go here!!!!! Had a tooth pulled, it got infected and I now see a piece of tooth still stuck in there so they didn’t get it all and I’ve been in more pain than before I had it pulled. All of them are rude, rush you, and only want money. I called to be seen again for an emergency from the pain and to get the rest of the tooth out and they said there’s nothing they can do, didn’t prescribe antibiotic nothing. Had to go to urgent care to get it taken care of
Negative experience: I always receive these brochures from them and decided it’s time for a check-up. Called and this woman picked up whom I could barely hear. The connection was crackly. She asked how she could help me and I asked if they were accepting new patients and she tersely said “for what!?” I offered to call back to see if we could get a better connection (never had a problem from my line before). I told her I just wanted a routine cleaning. She then tersely said, “no, what’s your insurance.” I explained politely that I have Delta Dental but was never sent the card and that my old dentist would just look it up by name and DOB or SSN. That apparently irritated her because she then sounded upset and said she couldn’t help me and that I had to call back once I “figure out where [my] card is.” So I went onto Delta Dental website and there’s even a section that says “No ID card is required to schedule an appointment or for your visit. Your dental office can look up your coverage with the primary member's basic information: Name Date of birth Social Security Number or Enrollee ID number” So I called back several times to see if she could kindly just look it up, but kept getting a sketchy voicemail. It sounded like someone’s personal voicemail and not a professional one, but it was definitely the same number given on the brochure. I decided based on the weird interaction I’ll go elsewhere. They need to work on that first crucial patient interaction if they want more/new business. She sounded super annoyed that I was even calling in the first place. Called another practice and they were able to look up my info easy peasy.

Fantastic experience: I was in on 10/24/2025 for my first visit they had me in and X-rays and seen a dentist and back out the door in less than 30 mins. I’m usually petrified of the dentist but you all changed my outlook. From the front desk to the X-ray technician to the dentist

Negative experience: I have never seen so many horrible reviews one after another in My life. The places I can go are limited and just seen an ad for NYDG. Just from the reviews,I guess I need to keep looking.Ive had dental trauma from an acc,and trauma from a previous Dentist and have the worst anxiety, it's weird how the thing I'm terrified the most of,is so hard to find a kind and understanding Dentist. .Its reviews like this that make it so hard to get the help I need,thought I found one by the ad I came across.

Negative experience: Have been fighting with said dentist to be able to get in for a simple exam due to teeth pain. They ignore phone calls. They ignore patient complaints and all they care about is bringing in money from insurance. My insurance denied something I have been working with them to see about getting it approved but this dentist still refuses to bring me in for a simple exam to see what is going on and why I'm in so much pain. I have had one appointment where they did X-rays and was told I needed a deep cleaning which insurance denied. Ended up with teeth pain again called and scheduled an appointment for an exam but instead of my exam I was forced to meet with the case manager about the denial that my insurance gave for the deep cleaning. So Instead of helping get to the root of the problem of my mouth pain they push about stuff insurance denies which tells me one thing all they are is money hungry 10/10 DO NOT RECOMEND THIS DENTIST

Negative experience: Not very disabled inclusive. I accompanied my blind friend. They rushed us through the form filling out process. They did not do very much communicating during the X-ray process at all. I attempted to speak about it the woman dismissed me. I went to the waiting room. He was taken to a different room, I was sent for. Once I entered the room I asked what I was needed for, they proceeded to ask my friend if they were capable of making their own decisions. I was then told to leave. As I walked out I was telling myself how confusing and disrespectful that was. A woman came out and asked me what the problem was and told me how were they to know my friend was blind. Something about me leading and there also being a white and red walking stick kind of gives the impression. This woman had the audacity to ask me when a red and white stick signified "blind. I have half the conversation recorded! This is unacceptable

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with New York Dental. They told me that they had sent my claim to the insurance and were waiting for a response. Later, they asked me to pay the full amount upfront, saying the insurance would reimburse them afterward. When I called my insurance, I found out no claim had ever been submitted, which made me lose trust in them. The front desk lady was also very rude and unprofessional, and I did not appreciate the way I was treated. I will not be going back to New York Dental. On the other hand, I had an amazing experience with Aspen Dental. They were transparent, explained everything before moving forward, and treated me with kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend Aspen Dental for anyone looking for honest and caring service.

Negative experience: This dentist has got to be the worst dentist that I've ever experienced in my life, I've had a lot of teeth issues and I'm not going to lie he's done some good work and I put up with his BS because like I said I've had needed a lot of dental work done. Plus it's one of the only dental office that is in network with my insurance so it's not like I have a choice of where I can really go so maybe that's why he treats people the way he does, I don't know . Well yesterday I had an appointment and it was the last straw. I went in because I clearly have a cracked filling and he basically gaslit me telling me I was crazy and that there's nothing wrong with it when clearly there is and all he did was sit there and scrape my teeth and kept being like look at this, look at this look at all this plaque.. do you even brush your teeth do you even floss!??like and his assistant was agreeing with him just acting like I'm this child who can't take care of her teeth when I clearly do. I never ever write reviews but I can't deal with him anymore and I did call the office to be switched to another dentist.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Constant rescheduling. Was rudely turned away when I was 16 minutes late (after I told them I was on my way) This appointment was rescheduled after I sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours just to be told I was scheduled on the hygiene side note the dentist side.

Negative experience: I made an appointment to get a cavity filling. When I got there I was told it was just a cleaning appointment and I had to wait 2 months to get the filing. I also needed to get my jaw looked at for an injury to a previous area that had surgery. I was told they would send a referral and X-rays to a specialist. I called the specialist and they never received it. I called NY Dental Group 4 more times over the next month, each time being told they would send the information. I'm still in pain and still don't have what I need and there's no signs that they're going to help. Go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Absolutely no bed side manner . Talks to their patients as if they are little kids and know nothing . Wanted me to have 5 teeth and a root canal done in one day , and I absolutely not and they were very rude about it , and than proceeded to be very aggressive pulling my one tooth out , and ripped my gums sideways where the tooth came out . The dental hygienist was very nice however! . If I could rate them zero I would !! Do NOT recommend!!

Negative experience: Waited 3 months for an appointment. Got several reminders. Got there and they ask me, what did you think you were having done today? Sent me home with promises to create a treatment plan. 1 month later, still no plan, or call.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been waiting 20 years to be able to have my teeth fixed. Today I came in to schedule my extractions. I was unaware of anything else they were doing as far as replacing teeth or anything and between Brianna and Urwa, they both were so patient with all my questions or explained everything they’re going to do when they pull my teeth and they were just so sweet and understanding my being so nervous. I have had 31 surgeries but when it comes to my mouth, I’m terrified and they were just very kind and understanding and explained everything.

Negative experience: They told me I needed a root canal for my cracked tooth and that I had two cavities and need them filled. I went and got a second opinion and turns out I have 0 cavities and just need a crown. They seem pretty scammy and are after nothing but $. If I had let them proceed they would have killed a perfectly good tooth. Dr Parra was very rude and did not make me comfortable at all. Awful bed side manner.

Negative experience: Horrible! The past two times I’ve gone there for an appointment, they’ve checked me in, let me wait, bring me back just to tell me they are unable to do what I was scheduled to come in for. Last minute cancellations constantly. The workers seem clueless as to why I’m there and what they’re scheduling me for. I’ve gone there my whole life and the past couple of years it seems like they’ve just gone downhill. I was scheduled for a cleaning, I get in the chair and they tell me “yeah we can’t do a cleaning but we can give you an exam” when the whole reason I came in was to get a cleaning. I will NO longer be going to this establishment. Get it together!

Negative experience: I put money down for an implant last year- my treatment plan changed and they ended up owing me around 1k. I kept calling and they would “leave a message” for the finance lady and I never heard anything or received a dime.

Negative experience: Very awful dentist, my mother has been waiting over a week to hear anything back for them. They don't care about their patients, they're obviously waiting for her to die of the infection or sepsis before they do anything. Get ready for a lawsuit

Negative experience: if i was able to give this place zero stars, i 100% would!!!! the front desk person was so sweet and so was the lady that did my x rays. and also the administrator who helped me after this experience. shoutout to them for trying to make me feel comfortable and trying to help me calm down! but the dentist himself? Dr. Parra. absolutely awful! the passive aggressiveness was uncalled for and not needed. i have a lot of anxiety with dentists, ive been through malpractices at dentists office in the past. and i told everyone that i met here, that i have anxiety. everyone understood EXCEPT the dentist. he told me to “go somewhere else” after i flinched because he hit a tooth that is sensitive. out of reaction is the only reason i moved because im in pain! and he did not care. he was very very rude and very unprofessional and unpleasant. so much so i wound up having an anxiety attack anyway.

Negative experience: Before they post their standard canned response (because they have no intention of improving or providing even marginally-acceptable patient care), let me warn you to not go here, ever. If everything at this practice was free, it would still be a ripoff. They treat patients like piggybanks, and they're very fuzzy on the whole concept of Informed Consent. Staff and especially Dr. Pannu are either dismissive or contemptuous of questions or concerns. So now, over $8k later, I have a set of dentures that don't fit and was told by Dr. Pannu that "You're just going to have to get used to them". And the assistant acted like I won the lottery when he handed me $5 worth of plastic junk in a bag. Best part is that I'm convinced it was intentional because I didn't want to spend thousands more on crowns that he never discussed with me, they just put it on my care plan because "the doctor likes to do it that way". I will be warning every single person I encounter at my work (thousands) that they only have one concern- your (and your insurance company's) money. Your pain, concern, satisfaction, and life quality are not even on the board.

Fantastic experience: on june 16 had appt with Muhamed cleaning and became very upset and not nice to him. i learned needed deep cleaning and treatment plan gums . As my teeth are very important me I apologized behavior and whole time he remained calm and explained process. I had deep cleaning and purchased prescription mouth wash and amazing my mouth immediately felt clean. I had scan done for plates and received my guards and medicine. Now my teeth are whiter, gums are no longer inflamed and bleeding and do not have sores on my tongue. I am so grateful to the staff there as Dr Pannu, Rony and Muhamed all cared enough about me to explain and not rush me to make decision. Ironic that previously went walking for mouth sores and prescribed same mouthwash. My best advice to all they are professionals not me. I have been patient Binghsmton dental years and Vestal was able to accommodate me for scan and pickup . So thankful I am patient there

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this place. My whole life I had a big fear of doctors, especially dentists after several dental traumas due to malpractice in the past. It took me a bit to find a dental practice that seemed like they cared and was accepted by my state insurance. I was scared walking in here last summer to get a bunch of work done but I am almost excited to go get my cleanings now that the work is over! They saved my mouth and my smile and I've been living pain free for over a year. The whole team is awesome and I'm grateful they exist! It's a busy office but they do the best they can to make everyone feel comfortable and respected. Love my dentists and Lance is a great hygienist! I forget the girls name who does the xrays but she's awesome. Seriously, yall saved my dental health and I'm grateful I found yall

Fantastic experience: 20 mins late in taking me in, but all went smoothly after that. Services have improved greatly. My Dental Hygienist, Urwah, has very nice music selection playing. She has a professional, but delicate touch! When cleaning my teeth people have the tendency to hit my gum, with the vibrating brush, but she voided this, all through. She will make a great dentist, if that is her final destination!!

Negative experience: Worst dentist office ever do not go here.My appts keep getting deleted out of the system. They say there gonna fix something but never do. No way to reach supervisor. Having to change my dentist office because this place don't know what they are doing. Would not recommend going here you will just be wasting your time. I just showed up for 3:00 appointment and this is the second time they told me the dentist is nowhere around because he's in a meeting there's always some type of excuse big big waste of time and they could care less.

Negative experience: This place is terrible!! Dr pannu is not a caring dentist! He is a very Rude man that thought it was funny that I couldn't afford a partial plate on the top and bottom of my mouth. My parents were poor. Dental hygiene starts at a very young age, so I have done the best I could to keep the teeth I have left. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They always want to sell ne fluoride for $35 .I use fluoride everyday, but they said it's not good enough. It's a money thing here.i was laughed at by the Dr.

Negative experience: New York dental is Ableist. My friend went yesterday to have her wisdom tooth checked out. they sent her home with blood on her face. They told her they couldn’t do anything dental with her anymore due to her being in a wheelchair. You guys should be embarrassed !!!!

Negative experience: I began my treatment at New York Dental in December, and unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing. Despite scheduling appointments well in advance, I’ve faced multiple last-minute cancellations—often just days before—without adequate explanations. This lack of reliability has significantly delayed the completion of necessary dental work. Communication is another area where the practice falls short. The dentist rarely explains procedures or discusses treatment plans, leaving me anxious and uninformed during visits. As someone who experiences dental anxiety, clear communication is essential to feeling comfortable and safe. Discussions about clients not attending dental school or scheduling are inappropriate during treatment sessions. The focus should be on the patient currently receiving care. Adding to my concerns, I was informed that I needed a root canal. While waiting for the procedure, my tooth broke in half. Despite numerous calls to the office, I have yet to receive a response or a plan for addressing this urgent issue. Overall, my experience suggests a lack of empathy and professionalism. Patients deserve timely care, clear communication, and a respectful environment. I hope this feedback encourages the practice to make necessary improvements.

Negative experience: PLEASE READ THIS! They are potential scammers: I used to like this place , the staffs, especially the front desk staffs are nice. 1 star only given to the front desk. But their waiting time is getting way too long, even though I arrive on time. Some hygienists are nice and some aren’t! Some don’t seem to care. NOW They lost my trust! My insurance covers X ray once a year, ALMOST every time I done X ray, there’s cavity found. I done 3-4 times filling now , and I was told I need to do another filling from my March appointment after X ray. I feel very suspicious about it. So I went to another dental place and there was NO CAVITY! My new dentist said I am NOT THE ONLY ONE comes to ask for second opinion from NY DENTAL!! Now it left me wondering if I really needed previous fillings! ITS TERRIBLE!

Negative experience: Updated: initially when I wrote this review, they removed several teeth and said I wouldn't have any problem getting a bridge to replace those teeth. 2 years later... fighting with the insurance company and losing weight because I can't eat... I finally get the approval but now the dentist refuses to do that because the insurance won't approve additional crowns now. They constantly say they'll call you back but don't. They say they'll send in what's needed to the insurance company... but don't. Their main go to is for you to apply for loans to get your work done AFTER they remove teeth. I had a root canal done on a front tooth too and that didn't even last 6 months before it completely broke off. I've had cavities that they ignore(which are now the ones they want crowns for) but want to schedule you for cleanings and still ignore the cavities which are getting worse and I'll probably loose that one too. I am super frustrated with all the run around and I will also mention that I showed up for several appointments that were canceled without notice. Previous opinion after the first appointment: Best dentist I've been to in YEEEEEARS! Very friendly staff and they actually want to fix all the bad teeth and not nickle and diming and wasting both of our time.

Fantastic experience: The place looks amazing since being remodeled! I admit the last time I went there 6 months ago for a cleaning the Dental Hygienist (female) was very rough. I've never had a cleaning that painful & when I rinsed with water I was spitting out tiny specks of bleeding gum tissue. Yesterday I had a young man Dental Hygienist, he was absolutely the best! - no pain or bleeding gums. He was gentle and thorough. Great job! 5 stars!!!!!

Fantastic experience: This is one of the most amazing dental offices I’ve ever experienced. They are very welcoming and accepting of patients with anxiety, patients who have to bring their kids, and patients who have problems that they are embarrassed of. My husband and I came in for appointments together today and my husband needs a lot of work done, that he very reluctantly agreed to do. The receptionists were so helpful with setting up his many appointments with me and explaining all of his procedures to me, as I was in my own appointment during his. They explained all of the covered things and uncovered things. We very much appreciate everything this office does! And the dentists are SOO nice and welcoming.

Negative experience: I waited 30 minutes for a hygienist. No one informed me of a delay or how long I’d have to continue waiting. I inquired at the desk and was told it wouldn’t be much longer. Soon, I decided I couldn't wait any longer as I had to be on time for an important meeting . This would not have been a problem if my appointment had started on time. Now I have to go back again, which is very inconvenient.

Negative experience: This is the worst place ever! Do not go here! They are nothing but liars and scammers and they don’t respond to anything. I have emailed and called and I got one response to call them. I did and I was told the manager would call me back and NOTHING but crickets!!!! Liars Theives Scammers!!!! I went for crowns and I have a dented crown that they put in and they refuse to even respond or do anything!!!!! I gave a second insurance and they have refused to bill it!!!!! I got a night guard that they charged $350 for and I could have gotten it at Walmart for $20!!!! Scammers and liars!!!!!! They charged me $7000 out of pocket when my insurance says I only owe $4500 and they refuse to give me a refund. I have not had any additional services!!!! Scammers liars and thieves!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!

Negative experience: Last visit was the most painful visit I’ve ever had at a dentist office, she was shoving the head of the water flosser into my gums, I was sore for an entire week after, I’ve never had that experience there before. I asked her while it was happening why it’s suddenly hurting so much and she said she likes to dig in to make sure it’s clean, but nobody has ever done that before. She also rushed through it which might be part of why it hurt, I’ve never had a cleaning done that quick. After that they tried telling me I owed $400+ from a previous appointment because I wasn’t covered at the time, but I was and I updated my insurance before the appointment and confirmed it at the desk, so somebody there made a mistake. They even acknowledged my new insurance was in their system which means I did give it to them. Regardless their response was to put it on me to call my insurance to try “convincing” them to pay it even though the claim was being sent in months late. Now as my next appointment was coming up I was sent a reminder text which I confirmed, then days before it I received another text telling me they had to reschedule it and to respond for rescheduling options, which I did, but I never received any response. So after the weekend I called and was told they’ve suddenly decided not to take my insurance plan anymore, which is fine that’s up to them, but to wait until days before my appointment when I need to come in for a mouth guard and a necessary cleaning due to gum issues it’s pretty unprofessional, I have a hard time believing they just made this change 3 days before my appointment, but I guess anything is possible. Up until recently I’ve had all great experiences here, but between my gums being attacked with the flosser head, told I owed $400 and having the issue put on me to “convince” my insurance to cover it months later, and now being cancelled days before an appointment they had just confirmed with me, that I needed, this is one of my worst experiences with any dentist, doctor or otherwise. I see a lot of bad reviews lately and I doubt any of these reviews will hurt their business unfortunately, but I’m leaving it so others are at least aware of what you might expect when going here.

Negative experience: This office is incredibly unprofessional. Communication is poor, follow-up is unreliable, and I was left waiting for promised care that never came. The dentist was dismissive and rushed, and the front desk staff repeatedly gave me conflicting information. After days of being told I'd receive a prescription, it was suddenly denied without good explanation. I've since switched providers and would not recommend this practice to anyone. Do not see Dr. Parra, even as a last resort.

Negative experience: I had been going to NY Dental for several years. In 2016, I had a major procedure that involved a root canal and crown. This procedure did not fare well for me over the years. Initially, the dentist improperly cemented the crown to the tooth. I had to come back to get the crown grinded to fit my bite. Shortly thereafter, the crown needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge me 25% of the replacement cost for something that was not my fault. I ended up losing this tooth within a few years. The hygienist at the time mentioned to me that she was shocked how I was treated throughout this whole situation and the tooth should have been saved. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with their handling of this matter. When I was informed that the tooth would need to be extracted, I scheduled an appointment with a specialist in Rochester. Due to their poor handling of the situation, I did not feel comfortable with allowing them to handle this request. Fast forward to February 2024 I had a whitening procedure scheduled. After this procedure and the lack of results from the treatment, I was on my last straw with this business. Later in April 2024, I came in for an issue with my tooth that I wanted them to check. They discovered a cavity filling would be needed and to crown the neighboring tooth. At this moment, I was hesitant, so I scheduled a consultation with a different dental office located in Phoenix, NY to get a second opinion. My comfortability with NY Dental doing any involved procedure was extremely low after all that I had previously been through. I set up an appointment with NY Dental to address the cavity filling as I did not want that to linger. The office called me to cancel my appointment stating that the dentist would like to do both the crown and cavity filling the same day. I found this very sketchy of them to be pushing the crown procedure. I sensed that it was a money grab on their part. I went to Access Family Dental in Phoenix, NY to get a second opinion and the dentist took x-rays, administered a cold test, and performed additional strength and health testing on the tooth that was in question to make an assessment. He stated that the tooth is not in need of a crown at this time, but there is always a possibility in the future. I scheduled an appointment with Access Family Dental after my consultation to do the cavity filing. I would recommend anyone considering using NY Dental as their dentist to veer far away and look into other options. This business is not professional with their practices. For starters, they overbook their patients, and many complain in the waiting room of the long wait. NY Dental is very inconsiderate of people's time. I have seen several patients demonstrate erratic behavior from the frustration of such long waiting times. Another red flag that caught my eye is their employee turnover rate. I found this to be alarming for a dental office. As you can see with my experiences, they are not ones to take accountability for their actions. NY Dental will find a way to place blame on the patient for their poor performance. This is unprofessional etiquette and not fair to the patients. The office tried to place blame on me for the whitening procedure. After a few interactions, the dental hygienist Megan was immediately removed from the scheduled date due to her inaccurate price quote and making false promises about the results. She avoided accountability with this strategy. They scheduled Firaaz to handle the whitening instead and he took no before and after pictures which I found odd. At the end of the procedure there was no noticeable difference for paying $350. I was advised to spend more money on take home products. I called NY Dental to transfer my records to Access Family Dental and told them that I will no longer be a patient at their office. I was exhausted from the way I was treated so I thought it would be best to remove myself from the situation. I desire an office that cares more about their patients and demonstrates a high level of integrity with their business practices.

The Dentist was so rude and demeaning, he had no compassion or chair side manners at all......I came to them for help and left upset and in pain. Negative experience: Copy of email i sent: Originally, I thought the difficulties I had with your facility were largely my own fault. I am a difficult person to deal with. Headstrong and confrontational. I am aware of these shortcomings. In good faith, I referred my son to your office. He is my polar opposite. He is calm and sweet and open hearted. He went in with an abscess and a broken tooth. He was sales-pitched to death. He had to continuously remind the attending staff why he was there. He had to call back multiple times to get his antibiotic prescription called in. His appointment was in the morning, yet the prescription was not sent to the pharmacy until 445pm, even with his multiple calls. He was talked into a $25.00 bottle of mouthwash. And briefed on procedures and services well beyond what he needed. He was referred to an oral surgeon with no openings for more than a month out and who does not take insurance at all. It is clear that your office practices dentistry as a side-gig to the primary purpose of hustling money. Our lack of historic dental services is on me. I made the best decisions I knew how to make as a single parent, working multiple jobs at a time and unwilling to receive state aid. It took some time and the odd luck (if you could call it that) of a broken tooth to even get him to make an appointment. Your office, in one visit, undid all of that by treating him like a mark. Fast-talking sales pitches for services and products beyond the scope of his needs, and at the very end of the visit, he was advised that your office could not assist with his broken tooth. Damn near the same thing you tried to do to me. The only difference being my personality versus his. So he wasted his time and money at an office that knew from moments after his appointment began that they would not be able to assist him at all. But, they certainly didn't want to give up the opportunity to swindle a naive person. Your entire office should be embarrassed. Embarrassed to wear the mask of dental professionals, hiding the money-grubbing leeches you are.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. This place used to be great, now, I can't even walk in without having an asthma attack due to the smell. No, not a normal dentist office smell, it was a strong floral smell like a spray, strong perfume, or maybe even a plug in. I couldn't last 5 minutes with the overwhelming smell and when I asked if it always smells like this, I was told yes. This is not ok and going to cause major issues for some patients who have asthma or allergies.

When injecting the Novocain, he IMMEDIANTLY started working on the area he injected without waiting for it to kick in, causing pain. When I tried asking him for more, he sighed as if I was asking him to do something unreasonable and only waited 15 seconds before trying to work on the tooth again. Every time I would make a sound of discomfort, he would just keep sighing. Not saying that he needed to be exceptionally attentive, but I expect that if you're a dentist, you would at least have some compassion toward you patients, especially those who have dental anxiety. I know another patient who goes here and said the same thing after I told them about my visits, definitely not returning.

Negative experience: Complete disrespect of my time. I had an appointment booked for months and then day of they cancelled with no reason. Then the next appointment they were only able to do two my my three fillings at once because the doctor had to go to LUNCH. Genuinely something that would have taken 15 more minutes made me stay another two hours because of his lunch schedule. I have genuinely never seen such disrespect for my time before.

Negative experience: The service was disappointing. Despite scheduling an appointment and completing the pre-check-in, I had to visit twice just for a routine cleaning and exam. Because someone forgot to properly upload x-rays. Before my appointment, they confirmed that my insurance was valid and in-network. However, even after a year, they still haven't managed to submit the claim. Instead, they keep sending me invoices for payment due without following up on the claim status. My insurance provider confirmed that I had coverage at the time and never received any submission from them. Even after a representative from my insurance called and explained my coverage, they still failed to process the claim. Worst experience—would not recommend. Please don’t go here. They are scammer.

Negative experience: This is a very unprofessional place. I had an appointment around 1:15pm. I went to the clinic checked in around 1pm expecting to wait 15 minutes. But no, apparently they didn’t have a person to clean my teeth on that day. I went back to the check in desk around 1:45 (at this point I have waited 45 minutes) she realized I have been waiting there. Are you joking?

Negative experience: I've had 2 appointments canceled since October by NY Dental and they tell me i have to call and reschedule. One for a cleaning and 1 for a root canal. I'm just going to find a new dentist who actually cares about keeping my business.

Negative experience: Giving 2 stars! So I had an appointment on Jan 30th, a root canal and crown, wich everything went smoothly dentist did a very quick, good job and I knew I was in good hands. When we were all done he prescribed me meds to pick up at my pharmacy, later on that day I went there and they were "faxed" in, rite aid said that it basically was illegal to fax them in. Later on that day after I been to rite aid I gave the dentist a call and I don't know any of the younger girls that work in the front but they are completely, unorganized and unprofessional, after I got told numerous times that they transfered it over. They still had not. I called again Friday one of the girls said they'd call rite aid and give me a call back to confirm, I was already up that way so I told them I was in the area at the time and asked if they could do it asap, she said she'd give me a call back and that if she didn't then for me to call back "over the weekend". Well, she never called back. And me knowing they aren't open on the weekends, made me really pissed that she would even say that. These girls do not know what they are doing when it comes to customer service.. If I get a tooth infection because the girls were inconsistent, I'm gonna be dam pissed. Overall, the dentist dr sunny pannu did a very good job and made sure I wasn't in any pain and even told me if I needed a break to let him know, he was very professional about it all, didn't talk much, but I can tell they were slammed, I'm just glad I was in and out.

Negative experience: Receptionists were super nice and pleasant to interact with, but the dentist and the hygienist not so much. She told me the issue I came in for was fine and didn't need any work, but he insisted I get an X-ray (and the dental hygienist was right it didn't need anything done to it) the dentist then laughed at me when I answered his question on why I came in because I don't have the dental knowledge he has. I was polite but it is very rude to have your dentists laughing AT a patient (and I have seen previous reviews saying someone had a dentist laugh at her concerns as well)

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient for over four years and am very happy with the care I've received. Dr. Pannu explains clearly the treatment options and what's covered by insurance. The office staff clearly explains whats being billed, submits the claim to insurance, and even went above and beyond with helping advocate to my insurance the necessity of the coverage of certain things due to the impact on other areas of my health. Dr. Pannu and his staff care a great deal about their patients and I highly recommend giving NY Dental a try!

Negative experience: NY Dental has been a frustrating experience from start to finish. After over 10 years of ups and downs, their inability to manage insurance claims properly became unbearable. After one of my visits, one staff member even told me I "couldn’t leave" without paying an incorrect bill, though the issue was later resolved. Over the years, at times, I faced long wait times, rescheduled appointments due to their errors, and subpar dental work. The breaking point came when they failed to handle my insurance correctly for months, repeatedly sending claims to the wrong provider (or not contacting them at all) and denying coverage that clearly existed. Despite providing my insurance information multiple times and even arranging a three-way call with my provider, they insisted on inaccurate billing. At one point when I asked them to contact my insurance, someone told me it was "out of their hands." I do not say this lightly - their behavior felt like gaslighting, as they tried to convince me that I had to pay more than my $25 co-pay despite clear evidence to the contrary. The way they handled the situation felt like a scam and their staff came across as incompetent. Switching to a new dentist was the best decision I’ve made. My new provider understood my insurance immediately, charged appropriately, and provided better care and service. They also informed me that NY Dental was only partially correct about the work I needed done on my teeth. If you’re still with NY Dental, I strongly urge you to find another dentist. Their incompetence is not worth the stress or potential long-term harm to your dental health. If I could give them zero or negative stars, I would. Run, do not walk slowly like I did, away from this place.
