Negative experience: Wait time was entirely too long. Sat in the lobby for 25 minutes past my appt time. Then sat in exam chair for 20 more minutes. Left from there 1 hour and 20 minutes later, for 2 simple fillings.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience. My lower denture cracked Friday evening. Went there Saturday morning only to find that there is no lab on weekends. Got an appointment for Monday morning. Receptionists were very friendly and professionally courteous. Was taken in by Ashley, I can't say enough about how pleasant she was and how fully she explained everything. Dentist came in and checked me out and said they could fix my denture. Ashley came back in and explained that would be $49.00 for the repair or zero if my insurance covered it. Denture was ready and waiting for me when I returned at the appointed time. I highly recommend the Myrtle Beach Aspen Dental Establishment.

Negative experience: I wanted an appointment for a cleaning. They kept my appointment for a couple of months then called me two days before to tell me they don't do cleanings on the first visit, only an exam and X-rays. I've been to tons of dentists and they all do these in the same visit. This just seems like a way to get more money by requiring more visits. I cancelled my appointment.

From there, the team is able to make recommendations and discuss options that meet one’s individual needs. Fantastic experience: First time going to Aspen Dental and Jen R. was the absolute best. Made me feel comfortable and they were very informative.
Fantastic experience: The perfect experience! I inherently do not like visiting a dentist but Aspen is not your regular run of the mill dental practice! From the moment I arrived at the front door I was greeted with a smile and was made to feel as though I had been there before, when it was actually my first visit! Everything I needed to have done was explained to me in depth so I was able to understand! I cannot say enough about how well this practice is staffed!

Ladies in office from 3 D & stadard xray done by xray tech, to assistant & doctor & treatment coordinator were very professional & understanding to my situation. Very pleasant to talk to I got to choose which treatment I wanted to move forward with & everything was ran so smoothly and made me feel I was important & I was in great hands for the work I needed. Fantastic experience: The front desk staff member welcomed me politely and handled my information with care. From that point on, Ashley was by my side every step of the way. She brought me back, performed the initial “MRI” of my teeth, completed the x-rays, and captured detailed video images. She also assisted throughout my procedure, making sure I was comfortable and informed. Dr. Mills provided a clear overall assessment and thoughtful recommendations, and Dr. Dwyer carried out the dental work with Ashley’s attentive support. At checkout, Courtney explained my treatment plan thoroughly, scheduled upcoming appointments, and reviewed post-procedure instructions. Negative experience: Horrible experience, felt like an assembly line, Overpriced, pulled teeth i was told by prior dentist in another state before moving they could have been saved. all about pulling teeth and selling implants. the young techs were very nice Dentist sees you briefly then leaves them for everything else. then comes back in trying to up sell you procedures and products. sent me home in my car with a little thing of gauze should have waited to see if i was ok but rushed me out. , for bleeding to stop had to come back in and ask for more gauze... never checked on me, i could not drive like that. i felt humiliated & insulted. Front desk receptionist doesn't know who tells them what seems like they need alot more training, told me different things on phone then something entirely different in person. i should have known better when i heard a poor elderly lady in lobby say she was having trouble that her dentures did not fit for a 4th time she was back. Horrible , dentist horrible customer service. won't be back. get a 2nd opinion for sure. Please.

Negative experience: Not only did the dentist gouge my whole gum out with her drill, she knocked off my crown trying to pull out a bottom tooth couldn't finish it on her own and to top that off I paid 100 copay and supposedly still owe 200 because receptionist failed to file my claim. Total rip off highly disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I am vacationing at the beach and I removed a cap from my tooth while flossing. I contacted the local Aspen Dental office and they were great. I called on Monday morning and they scheduled me to come in at noon and I was on my way by 1PM. They were extremely thorough in making sure my cap seated properly. I was more than pleased with my experience.

Fantastic experience: I was seen on time for my appointment. The procedure was explained to me in detail. I advised that I had had bad experiences with dentists in the past, regarding pain. I stated, I didn't want to feel a thing. The dentist and staff did a great job and I was very comfortable during the procedure. 8.30.2025: Today added a review for my hygienist JENN H recently. She was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.♀️

Fantastic experience: 8/28/2025: Follow up!! Had a front tooth Extracted yesterday and a temporary bridge and tooth were placed. This office is really caring, but a few concerns and suggestions. Really was weak on follow up details. The novacaine given on the inner back side of gums was by far the most painful ever. I literally raised my legs in serious pain as it was administered. Not very gentle I've had multiple injections in my mouth over 71 years and this was by far the worst experience. They told me I needed to remove the temp bridge the second night and every night after that. No body gave instructions on how to remove and put back in. I called and asked for someone to help be instructed . The receptionist came back to tell me to grab the bridge and remove. No phone call to see how I was doing the next day. Always had a follow up call from past dentist offices. No one has even informed me how long I will wait for scheduling the follow up on the permanent bridge and tooth will be scheduled. It appears that once they see you and a procedure is completed, even with follow up procedures; you are on your own for what communication happens next . This really is disappointing for the original review I gave. Bill 8/15/2025 -THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: These Communication issues can have a major impact on future business. Hopefully they will be addressed. They are an awesome team. Such outstanding customer service. Staff really care about you. Smiles galore. So happy I came here. You really make the Difference!!!!

Negative experience: It was easy to schedule an initial appointment and they called the day before to verify. I was asked, as a new patient, to arrive 15 minutes prior for paperwork. Sadly, an hour later I was still waiting to be seen. And this was an early morning, mid-week appointment so they shouldn’t have fallen behind yet. I finally informed them that I had decided to find another dental provider.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience with Aspen dental .I will not return and I certainly won't recommend you to any one .I had a couple of teeth filled.I was told I needed to have a root canal .I did have this done .I was fit for a new crown. I Was not happy it was gray they put it on using temporary glue .They ordered it again in a better color . The new crown came in .Dr Mills assistant attempted to remove the crown and was unable she got Dr Mills he was also having a difficult time .He went and got other tools .He started banging on the crown the tooth below shattered. He stated he should probably done this differently. TOO LATE I had already paid for the root canal and crown .He did apologize said this was his fault do to making a poor decision. The tooth should have been removed and he should have gone in a different direction. BUT HERE I Am now tooth had to be extracted and I needed a bridge he stated he would take care of this which he did but the teeth on either side of removed needed to be prepared for bridge .I had no idea what this entailed. Both teeth were more or less destroyed. THEY WERE BOTH DRILLED DOWN TO NOTHING .I have pictures of this .I think I should have been offered a implant .Then the took impressions for the bridge .Next appointment they put the new bridge in .I waited a few weeks for the swelling to subside .He said once the swelling went down the bridge would fit better not true now I had a gap between the gum and the bridge. He said he would fix this which he did .How many trips would have to make to the dentist .He put the new bridge on .l feel the teeth are to big .I have had enough not to mention Dr Mills is rough I went home with fat lips and sore on the inside of my mouth from him leaning on my lip .I have pictures of these also .This has been a horrible experience and I will make sure know about this . Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Who knew the dentist could be the highlight of my week? The lady at the front desk deserves a gold medal for kindness—she greeted me like we were long-lost friends. Everyone else was super friendly too, like a dental dream team. They got me in faster than I can hit snooze in the morning, and within a week, I had brand-new teeth. I rolled in looking like a jack-o'-lantern and walked out feeling like a toothpaste commercial. 10/10 would smile again! I'll save the best for last— Melissa, the amazing woman who handled the finances. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I was making the right choices and that everything was covered by my insurance. Every time I came in, she greeted me like we were lifelong friends. She even called me the moment my teeth were ready! I honestly can’t say enough about how incredible she was—I could go on and on. Just an absolute gem!

Fantastic experience: I was able to make an appointment within a day of having a really bad toothache. While going to the dentist is my least favorite thing, everyone at Aspen Dental made me feel like I was in good hands and not to worry. From the receptionist to the Dentist (Dr. Mills & the assistant Lexi) they were great. Dr. Mills came in, warmly greeted me, numbed me up and my extraction was over in 2 minutes!! It was actually pretty painless, I felt more pressure due to the actual pulling out of the tooth vs pain. Mind you, there was a bit of pain after the numbness wore off, however I'm doing ok. I have to return for more work and am confident that I've made the right choice in going to Aspen Dental and having Dr. Mills and Lexi take care of me. Thank you guys and see you soon :)

Negative experience: Worst dental experience ever. No one asked about or updated my health history. I thought the doctor was gonna break my jaw during the extraction. I was crying afterwards and the assistant didn’t even think to offer me a tissue. I left with blood on my face and lastly when I called to ask if I could take the prescribed Tylenol 3 with another prescription I was told the doctor didn’t know and to ask the pharmacist. Very cold staff except for the front desk.

Aspen Dental was the first time I felt heard, considered, and safe while visiting a dentist. The entire staff was kind, patient, and informative: Melissa was a very warm welcome; Dr. Mills performed quickly, assuring I was as pain free as possible; Chloe explained a plan for moving forward; Jennifer R. was my saving grace...she offered her hands for me to squeeze during the procedure, talked me through it, and even soothed me with hugs afterwards. It made ALL the difference - I'm not scared to return, I'm actually excited to prioritize my dental health with a team that took my comfort seriously. Fantastic experience: Went for Denture consultation. Technician Dee was a true pro on X-Rays. Dr. Miller was courteous and clearly covered his recommendations. Melissa, the Operations Manager clearly knowledgeable and carefully explained the costs for my different options. She was great to talk with. Now I just have to pick an option.

Positive experience: Everyone is very nice. But the system they have doesn’t make sense for the motto aligners. Twice they didn’t give me enough trays so either I was a week without any or had to wear an old tray twice as long. Then they scheduled an apt for the last day of my last tray and told me it would be 2 1/2 weeks before I could get new ones. It just doesn’t make sense. Your follow up should be within enough time to get new trays without having to wear an old loose fitting somewhat stinky one for 3 1/2 weeks when they are meant for 1 week wear. I also haven’t had much success with the process moving my teeth in 6 months time
