Negative experience: What a bad experience and unprofessional service from the management. My appointment was scheduled for 3 p.m. When I arrived, they told me they were full for that time and that they had a 5 p.m. appointment. I told them I scheduled the appointment for 3 p.m. because after that, I had to pick up my other daughter from after school at 5 p.m., and I wouldn't have time to pick her up. The person who helped me never showed any interest in helping me resolve the scheduling issue and simply stated that she only had 5 p.m. available. I left, and the person didn't even have the courtesy to reschedule the appointment.

Negative experience: Horrible service from beginning to end. I made an appointment prior to coming in.And the staff was so unprofessional,rude,condescending .Their job is to create a positive first impression by welcoming visitors,directing them to the appropriate individuals or services within the clinic, and generally ensuring the smooth running of the front desk area .But their ego gets in the way of doing their job.Its a very straightforward job.Yet they made it so hard.Such a repugnant place to come in.For your own good make sure you see other options .

Negative experience: The ladies from the frontdesk were the worst they were super rude and not helpful I'm really disappointed.

Negative experience: Called to see if they took my child’s insurance. The receptionist said yes then hung up when I asked if they are trained to handle difficult kids? Gave them the benefit of the doubt so I called back, the same receptionist tried to pretend we weren’t just on the phone but this time they don’t take my child’s insurance. They are listed on my insurance providers website but I always ask just in case the info is incorrect. Such a weird interaction. Probably dodged a bullet.

Negative experience: Horrible experience young staff very rude and everything seems rushed and fast pace. No detail to work. Don’t even bother calling them on the phone, receptionist was “very busy today and I’ll have to come in…. In person to ask my questions.”

Fantastic experience: I been taking my daughter’s to this office for the past 2 years and I highly recommend it, they are very polite and friendly, Ms. Mercedes is an awesome lady always nice with all the patients.

Negative experience: I was a patient at this facility for years, and I’m relieved to finally be of age to leave. My last experience here was the worst I’ve ever had with any doctor and the staff ever. My appointment was scheduled for 2 p.m., but the doctor didn't see me until 4 p.m. This was the longest wait time I’ve ever experienced compared to any other appointment with any other doctor. When I spoke to Butensky who was an old white male with glasses to express my dissatisfaction with the long wait, he responded in a very rude manner. His exact words were, “I don’t feel pity for you; you should go to NYU Hospital and see their wait time.” First of all, NYU hospital and this office are not even comparable. He seemed upset that I respectfully voiced my concerns about the treatment I was receiving and the long wait time. As a doctor working with children and parents, he should have been compassionate and attentive to how I, the patient, felt. There is only one doctor at this facility, and the secretaries give out so many appointments for the same hour that you are never seen at your scheduled time. The doctor is uneducated, rude, and lacks care and kindness towards patients. Additionally, the front desk staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. When I respectfully expressed my dissatisfaction with the service, they told me to be quiet so that the other patients in the waiting room wouldn’t hear me. They are the first people that patients interact with when coming into the office, but they clearly lack the skills needed to treat patients properly. Overall, I felt humiliated and disrespected by everyone in this office. I will not be returning and will be changing my dentist.

Negative experience: I am very frustrated by the service and the treatment I received in this dentists office. They abuse the patients time and patience here. I waited more than 3 hours to see an old white male with glasses, Dr.Butensky. No patient should wait this long from their original appointment time, it’s ridiculous. I realized that Dr.Butensky was the only doctor attending all of these patients waiting for hours for their name to be called. I understand it’s his practice but if he’s taking in so many patients on a daily basis he should understand that he should bring another orthodontist to help him out in order to reduce the wait time to consider his patients. Or not take in as many patients a day to reduce complaints from them about the wait time. Giving out appointments to patients left and right is a stupidity especially if the wait time is all day and only one doctor is attending each patient. When I voiced out my opinions and concerns to the doctor, I got a rude response from Dr.Butensky. He told me that he doesn’t feel sorry for me waiting all day just to get attended for a dental check up every 6 months and that I should get my own practice if I have so many opinions. His response clearly told me the kind of human being and doctor he is and how he views his patients. Even though his response was so rude and condescending, I didn’t hold back and respectfully said what had to be said to his ignorant response. After my dental check up was complete I went to the receptionists desk and respectfully told them why I was never coming back here since they usually ask when you’re available for the next appointment in 6 months. However they got really defensive at me, gave me an attitude and wanted me to shut my mouth. The receptionists were a dark skinned Hispanic female and a white skinned Hispanic female. I was offended by their actions and I got really upset by their immature behavior and treatment to me. They have zero etiquette whatsoever. If the receptionists behave like this, there’s no surprise the doctor has a similar behavior. It clearly represents the doctor’s dental institution. They do not respect their patients at all, not even because the patients are children who have more trouble staying still for long periods of time with their mothers. A doctor who swears to do the best they can for patients clearly isn’t represented in Dr.Butensky. To not even listen to what his patients have to say is disheartening. He clearly just wants to be the only doctor in the institution on the daily and wants to take in lots of patients just to take their insurance money. What a greedy, disgusting and disheartening doctor who shows no empathy towards his patients. He kept saying to go to NYU dentistry that the wait time is even longer there since I complained to him about the wait time here. For a dental check up, he is absolutely wrong no one should wait this long for a check up. NYU is a much larger and respected institution unlike his. It’s truly inhumane the treatment this institution provided. Never coming here again.

Negative experience: The doctors are nice, some of them are some what rude, the hispanic girl in the front desk always have an attitude you can't ask her anything because she answers with an attitude, there’s another Hispanic girl that looks more younger, she always looks lost and doesn’t know what she’s doing

Positive experience: The older male denist is rude and makes kids uncomfortable with his bad energy. If a child is nervous he doesnt make the kid calm and comfortable, he gets mad about the kid being scared and nervous. They never see you within 10min of your appointment time, you'll always be waiting 30min-50min past your appointment time. They over charge on laughing gas. Other dentists charge $100, here they charge $120. There's no mailbox to leave a message for you to cancel your appointment before they open.

Positive experience: I don't have any complain about the Dr or the other girls that work with her, but the hispanic girlin the front desk always have a nasty attitude you can't asked her anything because she answer rudely, I won't stop coming here for my kid dentist just for her but I think they should do something about her because hey everyone got problems but you can't reflect them at work and is not just one time is literally all the time. (I had to specify with race because the other girl is American and she makes sure to help you in a very polite way unfortunately she is not always there)

Negative experience: Dangerous!!! Doctors are the characters from horror movies!!! If you love your kids then don’t go. Don’t be fooled by the reviews. People in the office taking parents phone and posting the reviews. Will not go again or recommend anyone. I talked with the dentist who referred to this people. He will not refer anyone again to this people.

Negative experience: **DON’T BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS, THINKING THAT THEY HAVE SO MANY POSITIVE REVIEWS THAT THE NEGATIVE ONES SHOULDN’T MATTER!** I would avoid this place at ALL costs! I came here thinking the reviews were amazing, but I’m now seeing that someone named Mercedes supposedly writes all these reviews from innocent parents’ phones. It’s a shame. Forget about the long wait time… I took my kid here because I thought my child would receive good care. Instead, the dentist came in without introducing himself, no hi, no hello, instead yelled at my spouse to sit on the chair. He told me my kid had four teeth when my child had more. Then when I voiced my concerns about potential cavities, he laughed and made a comment about how kids with such few teeth can’t have cavities… as if you need a full mouth of teeth to get a cavity?! There was no explanation of what was being done, there was no informed consent, and there was no discussion of risks. Fluoride gel was applied to my child’s teeth. A few days later I saw white spots on the two front teeth. Now my child’s teeth look horrible. I regret even taking my kid to the dentist. I tried to be proactive, and instead, I’m now stressed over how my child’s teeth look. There are white spots and now the front two teeth look completely discolored and weird surrounding that white area. It’s not fair. I’m extremely disappointed.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, not polite, no considerations. No cameras no phones yet workers are on their phones. And will laugh about on something. That old man dentist, his rude, his not nice, his blaming the parents! what a guy! I'm not planning on going back.. the assistant said ' if you dont want to come back ' to do the procedure it's ok. Haha she knows what's going on..

Negative experience: Took my kids for simple cleaning/brushing, the usual 6 month check up. the dentist assistant who did the brushing and cleaning was very friendly and explained things to me. Plus she was patient and helped calm down my kids. But once the doctor (older male) came in, he seemed annoyed and like another reviewer said, his demeanor was that of someone annoyed and like we were wasting his time. I asked questions and he just scoffed and said the bare minimum and didn't bother to elaborate or explain anything. Was expecting an explanation and nothing until I kept asking. Makes me definitely not want to come back if we have to deal with this doctor again. Like the other reviewer wrote, he also didn't introduce himself. Receptionists and the assistants were friendly, just the doctor himself was rude.

Fantastic experience: Went for my daughter’s first appointment and everything went pretty quickly. It only took about 5 minutes for Mercedes to check on my daughter And everything went quick from there.

Negative experience: Everything was ok until mercedes told me to take my phone out and go to google I thought she wanted to explain me something about my son tooth but she took my phone and look up this dental clinic and she put a good review about her self and Dr patty so now it makes me think that all these reviews are FAKE and she does it to every client. I notice most of the reviews its about her.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had a really bad experience with Dr. Hansford. My child was getting a procedure done and I wanted to asks questions about it. As soon as he entered the room his dimenor was of someone that was annoyed, like if I was making him waist his time. He did not say hi nor introduced himself. I wanted him to give me peace of mind in regards to the procedure, but instead he decided to raised his voice and act rude in front of my 6 year old making her scare and nervous. To then decide he was not going to the procedure and on top to say to let her go to the regular process and be in pain, again in front of my child. Never expected this from a "professional." I did speak to the office manager just to find out he was having a bad day which I had nothing to do with. She actually gave me the peace of mind and explanation I was expecting from him. When you work with children or people in general you definitely can't have this type of behavior, is unacceptable under any circumstances. It was a really bad experience.

Negative experience: my daughter of 5 years had appointment at 12 pm and still at 2:30 they had not attended I asked several times and her employees very ingreidas answered me badly but the worst thing is that I had to leave the place and the doctor of Asian origin sent a certificate to my email marginalizing my girl saying that my girl was not in a suitable condition to go to school, me siento muy indignada!!! I was there in February and now my daughter has a dentist that treats us with respect and values the time of its customers

Negative experience: If your child is in need of immediate work done be aware: as they insist on a separate evaluation day and rescheduling actual dental work. They do not make you aware of this when you call in which is beyond inconvenient. We were lead to believe work would be done the same day.
