Negative experience: NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE: I should have known that it was time to change my dentist office when after Dr Andu left and I kept getting a different dentist every time I came for my 6 month cleaning... Today was absolutely the last straw I was giving a 7:00 a.m. appointment and receive several texts and emails to confirm that time, which I did. Late yesterday after office hours mind you, I got a text message that said my appointment was at 8:30 a.m. I called and left messages because I knew if I came up here at 7:00 and my appointment had been changed it would be a problem. Sure enough I get here and they're saying there's not a hygienist in the office until 8:00 would I like to schedule for then? I'm not sitting in here looking at y'all for an hour!!! At this point you were playing with my sleep, my time, my gas and my money! Absolutely not!!!!! I told him to take me off the schedule It is time to find a new dentist It is too many of them popping up in this area for me to continue to deal with foolishness. The interesting thing is if I have pulled a last minute appointment cancellation with them they would have wanted a $25 fee...they should definitely pay me for my inconvenience. ----- I have been coming here for YEARS! I love Dr. Andu and her team!! ----- Update: Dr. Andu has retired..I wasn't sure if I would still love this place but I do. I met Dr. Lee today and he was great!

Negative experience: Horrible. You can never get anyone on the phone, you leave a message they never return the call. They don’t keep up with invoices by the time you get the bill it’s 500 plus(when you log on the app to pay none of what you owe for braces is there leaving you to have to wait on the invoice. Been trying to get insurance information added to my account since AUGUST , it’s now NOVEMBER and the few times I’ve been able to speak with anyone they say “ I don’t see it let me put that in for you “ . Then send you a letter to reach out within two weeks and you can’t get in touch with anyone.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful and they told me everything they were doing but it did take them a while to see me when I got there early before my appt time and I got seen 20 minute after my appt time. But I did feel kinda disappointed but overall it was a good experience

Negative experience: The rudest staff you will ever meet. I went there today as my daughter is a return patient and they worked on her a few years ago. Things have changed. Now they are horrid!!! They had the nerve to tell me that they could not help me but still proceeded to take X-rays even though I told them I already had X-rays from a week ago from the dentist that referred us. They proceeded anyway and while still telling me that they are no longer a pediatric dentistry and CANNOT help me so I asked why did you take the appointment then? Why didn’t you tell me this when I was booking? Those questions got them upset one dentist got mad at me for asking and even stormed out of the room. Another dentist man came in and they all were rude to me because they said it was my mistake for coming there and I should have gone to the place referred. They were all very unlikeable and ugly to me and made wild accusations about my parenting because I told them not to take X-rays and not to charge my insurance if they cannot perform the filling ( for no longer being pediatric dentists). Why the hell are you accepting kids if you are not able to perform pediatric dentistry?? It was the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A DENTIST!! These people don’t offer healthcare. There is no care, no heart, no goodness, no service. Vile, horrible place!! I recommend finding another dental office.

Negative experience: We had such a bad experience. My mom had an appt to have an extraction. Her appt was at 9am. I dropped her off because she is elderly and doesn’t drive. Long story short she called me at 11 am to tell me she had been waiting for 2 hours and she had been in the room waiting for over an hour after waiting in the waiting room for an hour. I then asked to speak to the nurse to see what was going on. She was very nice and apologized and said they only have 1 Dr in the office and this particular one is only there once a week. She said it would probably be at least another 2 hours before she’d be done! So basically 4-5 hours she would’ve been there to have a tooth pulled. We’re going back to the Summit location in Marietta. They respect your time and are very professional! Stay clear of this kennesaw location unless you want to waste your time.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. I traveled to kennesaw to get my wisdom teeth removed under anesthetic after needed to reschedule. We drove to my 11:30 am appointment and arrived 30 minutes early. I was called up at 11:45 for them to let me know they had run out of anesthesia and would have to use local anesthetic or reschedule my appointment. Because we drove over 1 hour to make this appointment and both my driver and I took sick days off of work, I had to do the procedure without anesthesia and was awake the entire time instead. We proceeded to wait an additional 30 minutes after that for the doctor to call me back for the procedure. There was no apology or explanation other than they had “run out”. I am very disappointed in their service and would NEVER recommend them in the future.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Great Expressions Dental on Barrett Parkway. I had an appointment at 11 AM because my crown came off. When I arrived, the receptionist told me I had a balance due of around $11. I explained that I had already paid it the week before by credit card. She asked me for proof, but I didn’t have the receipt with me. To show her, I downloaded my Capital One app and pulled up the transaction right there. Since the app blocks screenshots for security reasons, I couldn’t send her a copy. She kept insisting that I should be able to take one because “she has done it many times,” which was not possible. She then told me that without proof, I’d have to reschedule my appointment. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Our entire family has been coming here for two years, and this is the second bad experience I’ve had with this receptionist in my last four visits. It feels like there’s no trust in patients, even long-term ones. Instead of helping me resolve the issue, she chose to cancel my appointment over a small balance that I had already paid. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with how this was handled.

Positive experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed here, and overall, the procedure itself went really well. The staff was friendly, they prepped me thoroughly, and the entire process was quick and smooth — I really appreciated how efficiently everything was handled. However, I’m disappointed with the follow-up process. I was asked if I needed a work excuse, and I said yes, but I never received it. I’ve called four times to follow up and still haven’t gotten it, which has been frustrating. While the surgical experience was great, I wish the communication and follow-through after the procedure matched the same level of care I received during my appointment.

Negative experience: I had to cancel my appointment back in July because I had personal circumstances (note that I called them two weeks before the actual appointment to say that I won’t be able to be there and will call to reschedule, and by the way that was the only time where I had to do that). Today I called to reschedule and they tell me that there is a note on my account saying that I will only be able to schedule one time and if “I don’t show up”( which as I said never happened since it was a two weeks notice and not a “no show up”) I will basically be banned. So, if you are a normal person who goes through stuff in life, you might need to find another office because even if you cancel a week or two weeks before, it’s a “no show up” and you will be talked down to. Also, who wants to go to an office where a dentist dropped a metal piece in their throat anyway!!

Negative experience: Not what I expected. No cleaning, just a ton of x-rays and a gum check, then another appointment for cleaning and a filling they say has to be a crown. Lots of up charges from what insurance covers even though they’re “in network”. I will be getting a second opinion! Edited to add that upon getting a second opinion, there is no cavity so definitely no need for a crown… insurance fraud??

Negative experience: Had an 1130 appt to have a crown that was done by them looked at because it was causing me some pain and after waiting two hours and repeatedly being told by an office of cackling , unprofessional and non empathetic staff it would be a few more minutes , I asked to know exactly when I’d be seen and I was told all the dentist except one had quit and how they’re running behind . I explained that I had driven an hour away and had already waited two hours and that I should’ve been informed a while ago or even before the appt time . So the office manager stepped in and she is the rudest and most unprofessional of them all and said it would be an additional hour .She completely ignored everything I was explaining to her and the min I said that they were pissing me off with how they were treating me , so caught an even bigger attitude and decided to retaliate and kick me out office . It’s amazing how her selective hearing works and I can’t imagine if she actually had real power how she would behave . I hope she gains some control of her personal life so that she doesn’t bring that behavior back to work . This office use to be awesome but the new staff is awful , except for the Hispanic lady at the front desk .

Negative experience: came into the office at 1130 for an appt to have some previous work looked at that was causing me some pain. After waiting a hour I inquired on the wait time and was told the other dentist quit and it was only one on staff . I was then told it would be a few minutes and then I would be seen . Another hour passed and when I inquired once again about being seen I was told the same exact thing and I also explained that I should’ve been contacted before hand if they were short staffed . Ashely the office manager very rudely said I could just reschedule . That’s when I explained that I live a hour away and that I had already waited two hours and I would prefer to just be seen by a dentist .i also explained that I’d like to know if there was a warranty or anything in the work they did a few months back because I was considering going to another dentist . I then said that the way I was being treated was really pissing me off and that’s when the manger Ashley said I’m dismissed and proceeded to kick me out of the office .

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist for a hyper sensitive tooth and was able to receive an appointment within a week. The office staff and technicians were all very friendly and professional. Dr Bachour took the time to explain what was happening during the root canal and I did not feel a thing. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Lara Bachour in particular. I am so very relieved and grateful to have trusted this location with my treatment.

Now that Annie has left the practice i definitely wont be back. Nor will i recommend this dentist to anyone. Negative experience: I would give 0 stars as you can't get hold of anyone when you call. The voice mailbox is always full. Fantastic experience: There are no words for my experience at this location. I came in dramatic due to the severity of my pain. Tears, hollering and all. Embarrassing! The entire staff were patient kind and helped me immediately. Ms. Stacy Actually held my hand soothing me very kind lady. I so apologize and am so grateful for you all. Fantastic experience: Had a Great Experience at Great Expressions. The staff has always been really amazing but today was something beyond. I had a new hygienist named, Nico, who was just so on point with everything. Not that my other hygienists weren't. They were great, too. I was a bit hesitant having a new person poke around in there but there was nothing to worry about. No pain at all and very informative with what I needed to do. I also had pointed out that I had a very sharp edge to one of my back teeth. It was so sharp that it sliced open the top of my tongue. I was taken to another room and the offending tooth was shaved down until it was nice and smooth. No charge!!! Very impressed with my care today!

Negative experience: Office manager Ashley wanted my payment upfront and would not budge. I have had bills come from Great Expressions in the mail before when a $3 balance was present, due to the office inability to offer me CHANGE for my cash payments. Last October I came up short and told the cashier I would pay online when I got home, Ashley told the cashier if i did not pay when i got home to cancel my next appointment. I paid immediately when i got home. Today she made me pay prior to the services. In April 2025 update, new technician Annie, is great.

Positive experience: I was in extreme pain, I called Representative on the call stated they only take one Medicaid patient per day and for an emergency appt that would still be scheduled out for 4 months, wow luckily I had a Primary insurance of Delta Dental so I was able to get right in for an appointment however if you don’t have cash in hand you will be highly rushed out of the office regardless of infection etc. Have your money !! Dr is very nice , front desk folks were very friendly

Fantastic experience: Today my appointment started off questionable. As I walk in a lady at the front desk says hi are you checking in? And ask my name… She gives me a clipboard full of papers. Ask me to check if the information is correct then sign, but it does not inform me that there are several different forms beneath…. After going to sit down, I realize they are too small for me to see I come back and tell her that I cannot see all of these forms. She says I have to fill them out because they need my medical History, I go back to my seat and try it after looking through all the forms and seeing the tiny font I come back up and wait for her to get off the phone.(she didn’t seem too helpful, or give the inpression she wanted to help)., But as I was waiting Misty Comes over and asked if I have been helped I say yes, but I cannot see this. The other lady gets off the phone for a second and says sir you have to fill out your medical history… I explain to Misty that I need help. I cannot see it.. Misty gladly takes her time, assisting me to fill out all of the paperwork, briefly, letting me know what I was signing and where to sign and this was greatly appreciated!! Angelica calls me back, brings me to the very clean work area and ask questions. She’s very thorough and informs me of everything that I need. She asked questions and listened intently…. Later Aldona Comes in to inspect and clean my teeth. She does a great job and is very informative and thorough with her descriptions and making sure my teeth are taken care of.. We had a nice conversation and I think I may have assisted her in a PayPal issue she was having.. Dr. K came in And looked over my x-rays that Angelica took earlier she listened to my issues with my teeth, asked questions listen to my answers, and then made recommendations based upon her experience and expertise. This was a great experience that started off a little negative with the lady at the front desk whose name I do not know, but Misty, Angelica, and Aldana Made my appointment an awesome experience!!

Negative experience: Each and every time I call or my wife calls for an appointment or anything whatsoever they answer with a greeting and immediately put you on hold without your acknowledgement and worst of is they never come back on the line. You have to pick a lucky day to hopefully get through. Even if you get through they transfer you to another location that actually answers the phone and want to help but can't because the location the can help you transfered you away. Very frustrating and will never conduct any business here. I hope they see this review and hire a front desk help that willing to work and not scroll through social media. Yes. When I finally got an appointment I observed in the waiting area how they answer calls as an interruption to their day and use of their personal phone. I am not making this up. I saw it when they called my up to sign some waivers. I am definitely looking for another provider that accepts my insurance

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience possible getting my tooth extracted and starting my process to get my bridge put in. Dr. Mackay and Stacey were the absolute best. Negative experience: I took appointment for tooth removal specificaly. I specified that in telephone call. But when I vistied they did all photos xrays , and exams and said take another appointment after 3 weeks. I said my tooth is paining and I have to remove then thay said it can't be done with another appointment . Also found expensive for out of pocket even after having insurance.

Negative experience: I had a tooth extracted and implants placed at 10:30 AM, and it’s now 5:00 PM, yet no prescription for pain medication has been sent to my pharmacy. This is completely unacceptable—I’m in pain, and after checking with my pharmacy, they confirmed nothing was received. I called Great Expressions twice to ensure my prescription would be sent by 5:00 PM, and now it’s 5:04, and still nothing.

Negative experience: Girlfriend had an appointment that we showed up 15 minutes early for, and they couldn’t see her until an hour after we arrived. The hygienist that worked on her had nothing but complaints about work the whole time and then when she requested her x-rays she was told it required a form and would take up to a month to receive them.

Fantastic experience: TLDR; staff is great. You may or may not have a wait, which is going to be the case anywhere you go. The office could use some help when it comes to sufficient communication among each other and with the patients. So I recommend always getting clarification on everything. The positive: My family and I have been patients here for maybe 4-5 yrs. None of us have ever had a bad experience as far as our interactions with office staff, hygienists or dentists and surgeon. So 5 stars for that. Yes I have had visits where we waited up to an hour, but I’ve also had visits where I was in and out quickly. one hygienist is so warm and kind, easy to talk to and great at making you comfortable. Another is so thorough and did an amazing job explaining things in a detailed way that I haven’t experienced before. The dentists have always been efficient, to the point, but not in a rushing way. the oral surgeon dr.haribe is also great! Very approachable and efficient and even helped me out in a big way by squeezing me in. The negative: poor communication. I chose this office originally because I wanted my whole family to be at the same location. I had a two year old at the time. She loved it here and did amazing. I set our appointments so they could be one after another. The last time I set them up, they called to confirm mine. I thought it was weird that I didn’t get the call for hers. Never got the call but turned out they were supposed to call to inform me they no longer had a pediatric dentist. Had to reschedule my appt annd start looking for a new dentist for her. inconvenient. Then when I got there for my appt and was inquiring with the staff about the situation, they asked how my daughter did with the dentist and when I told them she was great they said would go ahead and schedule her and allow her to be a patient. Once again, the day nears and I call to confirm the appointment bc they didn’t call me, and once again, they informed me about the lack of pediatric dentist. I let them know that the person I talked with said they’d still take her, the person on the phone asked someone else and confirmed that they could in fact not take her. That was my first situation that left me dissatisfied with the communication in the office. Next, Most recently, I came for a cleaning and got confirmation that I definitely needed to have a wisdom tooth removed. So I set an appt 3 weeks out so that I’d be able to take off time from work. I don’t know a lot of facts about the procedure, only that I’ve seen absurd videos of people on laughing gas, I know some people get sedated, I know it’s painful and I know you can’t eat or drink normal for a bit. I didn’t receive any information about the procedure from the office. Assumed, maybe they will call to confirm and give me a run down maybe let me know what kind of cost I’d be looking at? None of that happened, just got email confirmation of the appointment. Showed up, took three sick days for it, had my husband take off work that day assuming I’d need a ride, kept my daughter out of school since I assumed I wouldn’t be able to pick her up. Get to my appt only to find out it was only a consultation and we’d still have to schedule the appointment for a week out or later! Not once did anyone mention a consultation! Thankfully, I mentioned it do dr.haribe and he felt bad about it and was able to fit me in within a few hours. Either way, procedure went well. Numbing took about 10mins then I waited another 45 before the procedure itself which took about 10mins. And I was out promptly. I was in minimal pain during the procedure (worst part was numbing and having my mouth pulled for access ha. This is the day after and I still haven’t felt much pain so I guess everything went well. (This part of the review was for anyone like me who had only heard negative stories about the procedure and are nervous like I was).

Negative experience: I've called twice today trying to set up an appointment. Once in the morning when I was placed on hold before I could say hello, and again in the afternoon when I wasn't even greeted at all. Instead it went straight to hold. I can't imagine what the wait time would be in the waiting room if I booked an appt. The experience from just calling the office is a bit discouraging.

Fantastic experience: Every other dentist I've been to has done a terrible job explaining whats going on and more importantly didn't have a care for telling you when/if you can spit something out. Both my trips to Great Expressions had dentists that were excellent about making sure I wasn't uncomfortable in that way. When I told them about this they said "Really? No wonder people hate the dentist." If I end up moving away I'll probably make the long drive here rather than find another one. Leaving feeling like I have a clean mouth rather than annoyed is a very different experience.

Negative experience: The hygienist and person who took me to exam room were nice, BUT no dentist looked at my teeth. I’m surprised as that should be part of an examination. Text messages we received on 12/4, 12/17, and 12/23: “GE Dental Info: Just a reminder that Alice’s appt is tomorrow 12/24/2024 at 3:30PM at Kennesaw.” When we arrived at 3:30 PM, there was no one available for my husband’s appointment and front desk wanted him to reschedule. Hygienist said “He had a life and the other hygienist had left early so there was no one available.” No one available for a scheduled appointment?? If no one wants to work on Christmas Eve why do you schedule appointments?

Negative experience: UPDATE: Went from 5 to 1 star thanks to your orthodontist department and corporate office, On Oct 16th I was scheduled for my next appointment thanksgiving eve, when I realized it the next day I called to reschedule and was transferred the orthodontist department who was not in the office that day left a voice message which the operator states: (Please leave your name number and a detailed message and we will call you back) Which none of that is true I never received a call back. I called multiple times I left voice messages & never got a call back, until 11/13, we finally rescheduled but it was pushed back to Dec 18th. Then two days before my appointment they rescheduled my appointment from 940 to 10am with is a big difference due to me having go to work and other important things. How can you reschedule someone without contacting them? Then they took a payment of 155.00, then still wasn’t seen on time! I didn’t get to the back until after 1015, smh! How you Reschedule someone to reschedule someone and not be on time for the reschedule?! Friday 12/19 woke up to my account being charged another 155, my husband contacted them he was put on hold for 15mins and counting because he used my phone to call them and he was still on hold, the young lady answers and says great expressions kennesaw please hold and now he has to lines on hold, take it from from working in corporate America that is very rude and unprofessional! Then she picks back up says they don’t handle ortho billing send him to their line which was the voice mailbox. We randomly decide to call the DeKalb location which ortho was there. The Young lady over there tell us we had to call the customer service billing which I had already did and got no answer, but Voice Mail. Still I have not received a call back and it’s going on a week later I’m ready to finish up my service with my braces and so me and my family can move to a better and more professional dental care service! Elyse is still very sweet and helpful and to professional for this unprofessional Environment! Elyse at the front desk is always smiling, helpful, and Friendly! If there is something I have a question about she gives me a clear understanding everyone here is always kind and every procedure I have been through I have been well taken care of! Negative experience: This place is getting worse and worse. No one knows what’s going on. Waited over an hour. Then was told the dentist might be at lunch. Huh?? Then the hygienist “forgot” to apply fluoride but it was certainly on my bill (which was $100 with insurance for just a cleaning). They are all very confused and it isn’t professional AT ALL. Even the waiting room and restrooms are gross. I’m switching dentists ASAP.

Negative experience: The worst place ever. The staff sucks. They don't care about their patients. They are very rude and unprofessional. The ladies at the front desk always have attitudes and have the BRF look all the time as if they hate their job. Dont bother calling you get placed on hold for ever. Appointments are always messed up. I Waited 2 weeks for for a scheduled double extraction and it's canceled the day of when I'm already in the office. I was in total distraught since I had been in a lot of pain and planned 2 days off from work and made arrangements for a ride. They did not try to do anything at all to help they told ne I had to wait another 2 weeks for the surgeon to see me. This place is a joke also expensive.

They try to charge us for things our insurance doesn’t cover. Then they make it seem like it’s our fault for not understanding their convoluted strategies to get more money out of us and get upset at us. Will be finding a new dentist soon.

Negative experience: 15 minutes late to start the appointment. No polishing during cleaning because I guess they are in a hurry but rest assured my insurance was charged for it. They tried to send me away without giving me the fluoride treatment I was being charged for. Last appointment they literally tried to double charge me. They seemed more interested in "going home early" than doing thier job. These people are incompetent and corrupt. The only people giving them a good rating are those not paying attention to their bill. They should seriously be put in jail!

Negative experience: I was scheduled for wisdom teeth extraction which Dr Hadibe had told was a 10 minute job. I had an appointment at 10.30 am. I spent hours waiting in the dentist chair by myself. No one provided any updates on when the procedure will start. The room was very cold and no blankets were provided. Then at 12.15 pm, Dr Hadibe came and gave me local anesthetic. After that I waited again for one hour for the procedure to start. No one updates you on anything regarding the procedure. You are at the mercy of the staff there. I saw Dr Hadibe in different rooms so I think he was really busy that day but no apologies or updates were provided. Dr Hadibe did a good job with the extraction but over all not much of explanation of what is being done or a heads up if something is going to feel uncomfortable. I felt he had an especially busy day but I am sure staff can make this experience better for the patient but they did not bother. The person with Dr Hadibe assisting was very approachable and showed good bedside manners and explained what needs to be done for care post surgery etc which reassured me. But if you are planning for an oral surgery here, plan to spend the whole day. Staff is not very professional or friendly. Dr Hadibe himself is competent but he doesn't have a good support staff (except for the person who was assisting him who was really good). Overall not a good experience when you are there for an oral surgery, made to wait for hours with no one checking in on you, the room is as cold as the staff there and you have signed a waiver that the facility is not responsible for anything including death. I was just happy to get out of there after the surgery. If I had to do it all over again I would do it in a facility that shows more professionalism, care and compassion. I see many similar reviews of the place with people having similar experiences, I wish I had read the reviews before.

Negative experience: Xrays and hygienist were fine. Dr. Kimpora needs to take a few minutes to get familiar with the patients and their situation. She had up notes from another patient that wasn't me! She kept referring to me as a new patient when I've been going there for years! She stated my front tooth was cracked due to grinding my teeth at night and recommended a mouth guard but my tooth had been chipped since I was 12 yrs old!!! I'm 53. For my 16 year old daughter she asked her is she drank a lot of wine while discussing teeth staining. A quick look at her info would reveal she's only 16!! Dr does not give a clear action plan. Overall, ALL seemed to be overworked, not very informed. When i asked which teeth would get the antibiotic, i got 4 different answers. This place sems to be going down hill. I am evaluating looking for another dentist.

Fantastic experience: This has been THE BEST Dental experience I have ever had in my life!! I have always been afraid to go to the dentist due to horrible and unprofessional experiences.. However, the entire staff here were extremely friendly & educational from the initial phone call to schedule my appointment with Elise, to my conversation about my insurance and cost with the amazing assistants Charlene, Drhrith, and Stacy, to my deep cleaning with Aldona! Listen Aldona was an absolute joy!! I’ve never felt more comfortable having someone cleaning my teeth.. She talked me through the entire process and in no time she was done!! Then Dr. McKay!! So pleasant, friendly, and so professional!! I love the fact that he didn’t try to rush his time with me as if he had a jammed pack schedule! Although the office is packed.. he was very patient and kind with me!!! I have never experienced dental office where EVERYBODY was happy to be at work!! I was originally scheduled for the powers ferry office (which was not a pleasant experience) but I’m so grateful that I was reschedule to this location!! Now that I know pleasant dentist offices exist… I am definitely coming back!! I can’t thank the entire staff enough for being so nice and just happy to be at work!! ((((HUG))) oh and BTW:: My teeth look AMAZINGGGG!! I haven’t stop smiling!!

Negative experience: I just came for cleaning. I did not like how rough the dental assistant was. I felt like she pressed too hard trying to measure my gums. Then when I canceled my next appointment they just made another appointment for me without my permission. I had to call them and tell them to lose my number. I'm going to find another dentist.
