Negative experience: Worst‍♀️new client, scheduled appointment for routine cleaning, i get there, i was told i was getting Xrays and need to schedule another appointment for cleaning. Ripping off insurance company and me by making two appointments for routine cleaning. I complained, never heard such thing. They sent me back to clean, then wanted to charge me for floride, I explained included with clean. I checked with insurance company. I ended up not getting floride , after all that I got a bill for my routine cleaning, they did not send bill to my insurance . I spent all morning there and will never go again, worst service, they kept calling and texting reminder for appt to confirm and complete form. I had to call them to inform to stop, calls , emails and texts continued. I had to remove my phone number . Do not go here

Negative experience: Please do not waste your time and money here. I am sure better service is available in the area. Wish I had checked their recent ratings. Made bookings for dental cleaning through their website. When I went to the Lawrenceville office, the staff told me that they don't see my appointment. Upon showing the confirmation e-mail and text no attempt made to offer a resolution. Office Manager - Fabienne Victoruil - outright rude and disrespectful. She told me to find another dental practice or come back after a month. Such managers are the reason that businesses lose customers.

Fantastic experience: The office is always very pleasant and clean. I absolutely adore the hygienist Kathy. She does such a great job and always remembers me and my family from visit to visit. I had to wait a little longer than usual today and the office through and a fluoride treatment for free. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Me and my family had our appts today for X-ray and cleaning. When my daughter came out she was told that "they don't have time to do her cleaning today and that she has to reschedule" the lady by the computer who does the scheduling said "she doesn't have time for that" excuse me, first of all rude, you make the time. It's not my daughters fault that you are running behind. Besides you still have and hour and fifteen minutes before you close. Second of all and news flash, the whole reason for an annual is to get your X-rays AND cleaning. Appts 101! She was then told to have a seat and you'll be called to make an appt. She was like no thank you (thinking, like really) Now she has to go back again. That was at 5:40 when she was told this. Then my husband gets out, hes the only one there, it's abt 6:15 but he's told to sit down and wait. So, confused that my daughter was not in the lobby waiting, he calls her to find out they didn't have time for her. So he goes to the counter and says my daughter was here before me but she was sent home without an appt, no response so he said I'm not staying and he rescheduled to Friday. I work in a doctor's office and would never tell a patient oh I'm sorry we don't have time to fulfill our appt made then be told on top of it that they don't have time to make an appt. They are lucky that I left when I was done because had I been there, I would have raised some hell. How unprofessional. Now they both have to go back at their inconvenience so they can finish their appts.

Negative experience: Disorganized and incompetent staff… I was there yesterday, I came in as new patient and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. Initially I was attended to quickly, I had my teeth X-rayed and was seen by the doctor to check my teeth. The dentist tells me that next they will do my cleaning a fluoride treatment. Barely a minute later another worker comes by my seat and tells me if I can go sit up front and wait a bit that I will be called back for cleaning. I do so and wait about 20 mins and see another lady get called who was there before me, I assume they might be low staffed at the end of the day so I continue waiting. Half hour goes by and I walk up to the front desk to ask if they called me (maybe I misheard the name) and they haven’t. One girl recognized me from when I came in, she looks into my account and asks what I’m waiting for, I tell her a cleaning. Another lady chimes in and says “oh if you’re a new patient a cleaning is not guaranteed. Who told you, you are to wait for a cleaning?” I say the doctor and another worker in the back told me to wait here until I get called back which never happened. Someone goes to back to check and different worker comes from the back to tell me they can’t do the cleaning and I’ll have to schedule another appointment. I ask “why was I told to wait if there if I wasn’t going to be getting a cleaning” she responds that maybe I was told to wait here to be scheduled. I say “why did I have to wait an hour to be scheduled?” To which she doesn’t have an explanation. Mind you no one called me, I walked up and asked. I would have sat there longer if I didn’t go up to the front desk, they did not know I was there waiting for a cleaning or to be scheduled. I honestly believe I was forgotten about and my file was left somewhere gathering dust, because they would have let me stayed there until they all left to go home. They found my documents and one of the workers asked where did you get that to which the other said it was sitting on the counter (right in front of her), I don’t know if it was always there or recently placed. It is ridiculous to wait an hour in a room with maybe 5 other patients, if that, to be scheduled for another appointment… my appointment was at 5pm and I arrived 12 mins early and I didn’t leave until 6:45ish. I felt misled and lied to, I left the office simmering in rage because I don’t have time to be burning an hour like that. Someone dropped the ball somewhere in the process.

Fantastic experience: Today’s visit was quick and didn’t have to wait long from checking in to seeing the dentist. Cleaning was done separately and checkup went quick. Everyone is very polite. Would definitely recommend this Lawrence office. Office was clean and very convenient.

Positive experience: Not the best experience, but the staff and the facility was nice. The wait time was long and I wasnt able to get my teeth cleaned as planned, because they were short a hygienist. I was told this an hour after my scheduled appointment time. I would of rescheduled the appointment if I was told when I arrived 15 minutes early, instead they waited till after the dentist took me back to do my x rays.

Negative experience: front office is horrible. no welcome greeting or communication. you “sign in” and sit there and wonder for the whole time - is anyone caring Im even here?! the first lady who took me back was rude! as it turned out, she brought me to the wrong area and soon after returned me back to the waiting room to wait some more. now, 30 minutes past my appointment time. i approach the front desk to inquire whats happening?! sadly, the hygienist who took care of me was wonderful - and on her own “Ophelia” deserves five stars! but I cannot possibly award that to the office.

Positive experience: My first appointment was very disappointing, scheduled it online for cleaning and exam, which was confirmed multiple times by text and email. Completed the forms online twice, when I got there had to do it the 3rd time. After 50 minutes wait I was finally in the chair, had x-rays done and the exam. The staff and dentist were all polite and professional except that I was informed no cleaning will be done. That was the main reason of my visit and wasn’t done. Was told that I should have received a text saying cleaning is not guaranteed for new patients. That was nowhere mentioned in the 4 texts and 4 emails I received. I expected at least and apology for their mistake of not informing me or an attempt to make it right.

Negative experience: Worst doctor experience I’ve ever had. Told to come in at the wrong time. No apology for the misinformation. Informed I’ll have to take another sick day off work to come in again 3 weeks from today. I call the morning of my appointment and ask at what time I should be in for my visit today? I’m told I’m scheduled for 2:30pm. I arrive at 2:20pm, watch many people who show up at 20 minutes after me be seen, and leave before finally being taken into my appointment an hour after I had arrived. I was told I was to get some fillings done and a cleaning. After my cleaning I come out and ask how long I should wait for my filling appointment to start. Where in which I’m told it was at 1:00pm today. So I was told my appointment was at 2:30pm, I wait an hour to be seen, get a 10 minute cleaning, then I’m informed I missed my appointment for my fillings. With absolutely no sympathy or apologies I was told I’d have to come in at 11:00am on the 29th to have my appointment be done. Today is the 7th. So this medical office told me the wrong time to arrive, did NOTHING to remedy THEIR mistake and then told me to wait 3 weeks and use another one of my sick days to come in again. This is the most unprofessional office I’ve literally ever walked into. This is my first google review EVER. Do not come here.

The ladies at the front were warm and welcoming, they greeted me and didn't keep me waiting for anything throughout my visit. The dentist I saw was lovely as well as her assistant. The main thing was how prompt they were. No long waits between assistant, dentist, hygienist, etc. My cleaning was done by Ophelia, I believe and she was absolutely lovely as well. The whole office staff is top-notch at what they do. I couldn't be happier to have switched to this office. I wasn't pressured, or made to feel bad about my not so perfect teeth. What a stark contrast to Washington dental, which attempted to deceive me by claiming my daughter had 5 cavities, a claim that was disproven by another dentist . I'm deeply grateful that Eastern Dental not only listened to my concerns but also made me feel at ease, assuring me that I'm receiving the finest dental care for myself and my children. Positive experience: Opelika, my hygienist was wonderful. Also did a great job with my cleaning. The office screwed up and said I would have to wait a long time because Opelka was alone. First they told me that they couldn't take me at all. Opelika made it happen.

Fantastic experience: I had a cracked tooth after my previous visit. The dentist adjusted the treatment plan and took care of the tooth with a crown. Then they printed out my entire treatment plan and showed me what would be covered by insurance. The prices for procedures are very reasonable

Negative experience: Unprofessional staff. Ive gone twice. first time, just for X-rays. All the staff did was complain about each other around patients and who had to stay late. The second time I got impressions done that took way too long and was done by someone with no experience. They never called me back after telling me it would be in in less than 2 weeks. Save yourself time and find another dentist office.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Eastern Dental of Lawrence has been a staple in my life and husband before he passed. I've been there since the doors opened. I sent a few clients there too. Their dentist and hygienist explains all procedures scheduled for the appt. I feel that the courtesy and assurance extended from the entrance to the finish gives you a satisfied state of mind.

Negative experience: Got call day before to see if I had and changes told them no that I do the smiles. Then I was told that could be taken care of when I arrive for my 8 am appt. I arrived at 750 to be told you need to buy smiles online. Internet was not working and I struggle some to do so. Should have told me todo before appt at home. I sat in waiting room while so many others after me and one guy that didn’t even have appt get called to the back. I sat for over an hour before being called back. When being called back they called a name that wasn’t mine. The girl that cleaned my teeth was the only good experience of my visit. She was great. Walked me clearly through the cleaning with encouragement and expressing my good oral care. Believe her name was Karen. I left the office at 9:45. My appointment was for 8 am and I was more then on time. I found that a lot of employees were standing around in the office area and should have maybe signed me up for the smiles program when I was having problems. I use to go to Flemington and left due to the office workers never giving me a clear or the right information. One last thing -The chairs in the waiting room are the dirtiest chairs I’ve even seen.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional front desk staff, spoke to office supervisor multiple times regarding fixing my daughters medical records being as they documented removing wisdom teeth that are still in my daughters mouth, they are not competent enough to correct their medical records my daughter has been hospitalized with pain and I am ow working with legal council to sue each individual that has neglected doing their job causing my daughter to be in more pain, hospitalized with oral infection etc. Do NOT go to Lawrenceville Eastern Dental, they are not competent & not professional! They hung up on Horizon NJ health when they were told no you did not do what you are claiming you did, and they still have not corrected my daughters health record claiming they took these teeth out in 2020! We are in June of 2025 for God's Sake!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Went there for the first time thinking I had scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. No one told me that I needed to see the dentist first and then they schedule the cleaning on a DIFFERENT day. A complete waste of my time. I saw the dentist for 2 minutes, and that was it. I never would have scheduled an appointment with them had someone told me that I needed to waste 2 separate days for a "check up" with the dentist and a cleaning. That is a horrible business practice, and is a complete disregard for their patient's time.

Negative experience: STAY AWAY! Eastern Dental is owned by a Private Equity firm, in an ideal world this would mean more efficiencies and good service. However, in the real world this means that dentists and orthodontists at Eastern Dental are overworked and as a patient you see them for maybe 5 minutes. The bulk of your time is waiting, followed by 5-10 minutes with a nurse/PA. You then speak to the actually dentist for 3-5 minutes followed by meeting a hygienist for 3-5 minutes. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ELECTIVE SURGERIES. A common practice at Eastern, and other PE-owned dentists, is pushing elective surgeries. Always ask your dentist to recheck your chart and explain the details of why you may need a costly procedure. Many times they will fold and reveal that it’s entirely unnecessary and treatable with good dental hygiene. DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING ON THE SPOT. Go home and research why and what Eastern plans to do. The orthodontists at Eastern were phenomenal in 2017-ish. They promptly fired the best orthodontists/didn’t renew contacts to save money and care fell off a cliff. Do a LOT of research about aesthetics if that’s something that matters to your or your dependents care. I know of multiple cases where the orthodontist sought time and cost efficient solutions instead of optimal ones. Some examples include utilizing Damon Braces and extracting teeth instead of applying a palate expander. Orthodontics is very important to facial aesthetics, research carefully and always push the orthodontist to explain their rational and be able to explain what you want. Your medical care is important, dental care is important. Do your research and find local dentists + orthodontists who haven’t been ruined by greed.

Fantastic experience: I went to Lawrenceville Eastern Dental to have a broken off tooth extracted. Dr. Massei had already extracted my wisdom teeth prior to this visit, so I wasn't too worried about this extraction because he did a great job removing my wisdom teeth. He numbed me up real good and then proceeded to pull the bottom half of my broken tooth from the gum. In took him only a few minutes as Dr. Massei really knows his craft.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, professional and kind. Good quality of care and great interactions with everyone in the office. The dentist did a great job of diagnosing my son and developing an appropriate treatment plan. The scheduling and billing staff were extremely courteous and Maya, the dental assistant, was warm and welcoming and made my 12-year-old son feel completely at ease. I highly recommend this office for both children and adults. We tried this location about 8 years ago and weren't entirely satisfied, but recently came back to the practice due to insurance changes and we are VERY happy with the new team.

Fantastic experience: Our adult autistic son, Tyler (28), has been with Eastern Dental-Lawrenceville since 2012. He has always received exceptional treatment from all of the staff. His last visit was with Dr. Amin, Ofelia (hygienist), and Kay P. (assistant). Tyler really misses his long-time hygienist, Meg, because she cared for him like a family member or friend. However, we were extraordinarily satisfied with his new team. They were extremely thorough in caring for Tyler’s teeth and genuinely courteous.
