Fantastic experience: My visits are always exceptional! I have never had a questionable or poor visit due to poor service or surroundings. The new office is certainly a cut above and a great service to those who appreciate good dental care. The staff and Dr. White are compassionate, engaging, knowledgeable, professional: simply the best in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: I am 69 years old and going to the dentist is the scariest, hardest thing I have to do in life, I have tried to be calm , stress free and not worry about my dental visits but I can’t help it I am usually terrified of going to the dentist. This visit was different for some reason. Wish I knew the names of these employees As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a very friendly young lady. She was courteous and very knowledgeable about her job. I In fact every one there was friendly, courteous and knew their jobs. When Dr. White came in the room it was like icing on the cake. He made me feel right at home and I’ll be glad to come back to see him. I want to thank them all for making my visit so pleasant.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist in Mobile. Always get a friendly greeting and today my hygienist Tina and she did a great job today. Looking forward to the opening of the new office in September. Highly recommend Dr White and the staff of the Smile Center.

Fantastic experience: Dr. White, Jennifer(my hygienist )and the front desk staff were so welcoming and professional. They really make you feel like family. They really deserve a 10. The only issue is checking out. Sometimes it takes longer than expected. But they are still an awesome team!!

Negative experience: Zero stars. I came in with a swollen face and in alot of pain. I was told prior to scheduling the appt that this was the right dentist for me because they would ensure my swelling would go down and she guaranteed me they would relieve me of my discomfort and pain . Upon arrival I asked for an ibuprofen or something to help the pain while waiting to be called back, never got anything. Didn't seem to care about my pain.. after being called back the assistant did a PARTIAL mouth exam on me instead of the full exam that is supposed to be done. I paid $79 for a full exam I didn't get. Then the assistant was rough , knowing I'm in pain and didn't phase her . After the x ray the doc comes in and says I needed an extraction although every other dentist said root canal. At this point they want to schedule out an extraction and I'm getting frustrated bc im in alot of pain and nobody is helping me . I then was trying to ask the assistant manager questions about the procedure and ask about how they are going to get my swelling down and pain relieved. She insisted on rushing me out the door and ignoring my questions and kept asking me for another $300 in payment. I was trying to ask what the $300 was for and instead of explaining she said I needed to hurry and pay or go about my day because they had other customers waiting and it was a half day being Saturday. No real dentist work on Saturdays but again I called prior to set up and was under the impression this was for emergency relief bc thats what I need. Nope. They kept asking to collect payment or that I needed to leave I told then I didn't understand why I paid 79 dollars to have a partial exam done and why they only did a partial one anyway when I specifically requested treatment for pain and swelling. Then I was informed I couldn't get an extraction until DECEMBER. That's illegal. Your supposed to do the extraction after the 10 days of antibiotics. Who's supposed to stay in pain waiting for another 3 months? So then what was the point of the 79 dollar exam. What was the point of the antibiotics? It was a complete scam.. I ended up leaving with no resolution, still swollen and still in pain only now I'm short almost 100 dollars and still have no answer as to have I'm going to relieve this pain. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. They are rude and highly unprofessional. I woke up the next day (today) and my face is swollen almost 2 times worse than before and the pain is unbearable. I'm going to have to go to the ER or another dentist which is INSANE to me because what was the point of going to the dentist in the first place if the next day I'm going to have to go somewhere else in hope they cam actalually provide me with relief. I got scammed and I deserve a refund. I will do what's needed to spread word about this horrid experience and theft of my time and money I got from the smile center in mobile al. I am working out of state so I was already hard finding a new dentist since mine is in Tennessee and the way I was treated and scammed is criminal.. literally sitting here 24 hours later in even worse condition than before except somehow they managed to get me for $79 that I'll have to pay again to another dentist this afternoon that actually knows what their doing. DO NOT GO THERE. And I will be seeking legal advice about this visit.

Negative experience: I was hesitant to share this review, but it was indeed the worst experience I’ve had with a medical clinician of any kind. I’ve had the utmost respect for Dr. White, hearing nothing but good things about him but today I experienced someone who was demeaning, dismissive and failed to offer any clinical guidance on the issues I expressed. I explained at the beginning of the visit that I was extremely anxious about the fillings I was getting as I’ve experience severe tooth decay in recent years and endured complications after procedures. getting little guidance on why and how to address it. I shared that I’d researched my symptoms and felt it may be resulting from a medication to which he nodded and stated “yes that can happen”. That was all I received to address that concern. I shared that I’d gotten quite expensive treatment plans that were not attainable and I was concerned about root canals as I’d still had difficulties after getting them prior to him. Again. no guidance. I shared that I was grateful that another person in the office gave me an option for fillings instead of crowns as that was not doable due to a number of things and as I began to explain he interrupted stating “life happens, we must prepare for it”. I didn’t need a lecture I needed a clinician who had the capacity to see that I was concerned, overwhelmed and needed help me sorting through what was happening before simply crowning my teeth. He asked what I wanted but listened only to reply as he never addressed concerns about dry mouth nor did he address concerns about a tooth that recently broke off. In fact, he referenced another tooth that I had not mentioned and was not having problems with. It was clear he wasn’t listening. He said “I don’t know what insurance or how much money you have” referring to when treatment plans are given. I shared that is all the more reason to give options and to try to find the root of the problem rather than simply giving the more expensive routes. His behavior was akin to me going to the doctor and sharing I was having a headache and the doctor recommending brain surgery without giving any effort to figure out and understand the causal factors. I’ve done the expensive routes and still have problems so I wanted guidance or help understanding what could be causing the issues. You mean to tell me that as a dentist you can’t give me guidance on how to address dry mouth induced by medication. After leaving I discovered a concern about my tooth being unevenly shaved however I have opted not to return to have it addressed. His energy was very negative and I regret allowing the work to be done. Again, before this account I thought quite highly of this practice but it appears that unless I’m prepared to go the more expensive corrective routes without any understanding of the causal factors, I was not valued or worthy of help. I will seek a clinician who is willing to use their clinical knowledge to help me identify the source and make informed decisions about treatment. Dr.White demonstrated to me today that he is not that clinician.

Positive experience: There was some discomfort. Right side was much worse than the left side. Not enough numbness on either side intially. But we finally got through it. Could've need because of all the tartar buildup. Had to wipe water off of my face a couple of times.

So kind, calm, and helpful. She got me in for an appointment the very next day and truly made me feel taken care of. Fantastic experience: My Visit today with Mrs. Lundry, She was Professional, prompt, kind and explained every detail thoroughly, describe with pictures, diagram and took her time out to explain to me the importance of gum disease. Dr. Alex White DDS. My visited today July 23, 2025. The front desk Staff's greeted me with a Smile, and a Hello! How are you doing. The Dentist that assistance me today was very prompt, well understanding and went to get Dr. White. Although I called twice on the day before, and left a messages. No one returned my call nor responded back to me. I have been going to Dr.White for over 30 years.

My expierence honest to God was a waste of time and money !! They did not apply the outer crowns like the was supposed too !! I’m just saying when you first get there yeah they nice and charming !! I wish I could say something better but please take your time searching cause they in a rush to make money !!! Sad sad sad at the end of the day !! The lost MiMi she was the office manager now they have the worst attitude having person that been there !! It be your own people fr !! Take your time !! This is the truth and God bless the smile center ….i wish I could of left zero cause now my new dentist have to be a hero for real !! Smh , keep yall updated cause I need a refund !! Negative experience: My teeth are still hurting from a cleaning. Value his employees more than he does, the customers find someone that’s gonna value your opinion when you tell them it hurts over 3 time that not going to try and hold you in the Chair and not laugh in your face. After I got up that asked me to have a sit for the next person after waiting 20 minutes then they came back and said they couldn’t take me after talking to her. Feels like She removed one of my feelings And I am in pain and she laughed in my face. I strongly advise new patients to go somewhere where your respected, and your money is respected to. She also damaged my gums. Put them all the way down so you can see the teeth. This place made a problem for me. It’s all about how they can get paid to get that

Fantastic experience: Smile Center Inc. is the most professional office I’ve visited. I’ve been to offices in CA, NY, HI. The staff is most courteous and friendly. After registering, the receptionist gave us a tour of office, welcome letter and gift! Such a surprise. We had an emergency tooth problem, called them in the morning & they made a same day appointment for us by noon. We are traveling from Hawaii and needed to fly out in 2 days. Understanding our situation, they provided the best treatment and made the work for us. So grateful to their office staff for a painless and stress free visit! If we lived here, I would definitely switch dentists and support this office. Thank you Rebbie! My mom feels much better now.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible find. We're new to the area and didn't find the first dentist I'd taken my daughter to to be a fit for us so we booked her next check up with Smile Center. Wow! A welcoming staff and great communication. I love that Jade invited my daughter (whose 8) to take a tour of the facility before her appointment. Then, when the staff learned that we'd just been at my daughter's 'graduation' ceremony to move on from 2nd grade, they surprised her with a personalized congratulations card and gift card...at the appt.! Most importantly, they communicated clearly about the process and recommendations for the care of her teeth. We've booked my daughter's 6-month appt. to come back and my first one to become a patient too.

Fantastic experience: I had asked several times about whitening my teeth. I always got answers like, “your teeth are pretty white now” or “they are as white as they can get for your age.” I did not accept this and kept asking until I found someone willing to go through the whitening process with me. This office did it! Octavio did a marvelous job! It took time, but it was well worth it. He was patient and kind. The proof is in the pictures! If you have been considering this, go see him!

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere presents a spirit of Excellence starting with the greeting upon entering. Dr. White is personable , listened, and made space for any/all questions. Jennifer is kind and explained everything helping me to understand terminology. She also prepared me for and explained everything she did. Staff is courteous and professional. I'm grateful that I was referred to this Dr!!

Fantastic experience: This has been one of the best experiences ever. I have been afraid of the dentist my entire life. I walked in the smile center and the staff was so amazing. The front receptionist was so nice. "Cameron" such a welcoming smile. He took me around to tour the office. Gave me a nice welcome bag. And my appointment was scheduled for the next day. My front tooth was broken and DR. White rebuilt my front tooth back so BEAUTIFUL! HIS WORK IS IMPECCABLE! The Smile Center is the place to come for all your dental needs. Fantastic experience: Dr. White and his team are amazing. He is a great listener and really cares about his patients. Very cozy and calming environment. He has saved my smile with his Lazer treatment procedure. Update 11/2024 Dr. White is still amazing. He will extract your teeth with ease. He is the only dentist I trust. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. Update 4/17/25 Dr. White and his team are still amazing! The clinic is very calming. Before your procedure, they provide a paper for you to review and allow you to choose which amenity you would like to enjoy during your treatment. Whatever you need to feel safe and comfortable during your treatment, will be offered. I love it here. He keeps my smile, Smiling!
