I’ve received professional and thorough care from the entire team - front staff, assistant’s & hygienists and both Dr Margarita and Dr Kelly are wonderful dentists! I just wish I had started a Nixa Smiles when I moved to the area five years ago!

Julia was so thoughtful and provided a blanket and turned down the lights so I was as relaxed as I could be for thr filling. Julias's explanation about upcoming procedure was thorough and provided several options. Appreciate the time they both took to try and make me comfortable.

Fantastic experience: What a nice bunch of professionals! I walked in after not having seen a dentist in several years and with 30 minutes was on my way with a good outlook and plan to repair my neglected teeth. My hygienist, Sam, was very knowledgeable. (Don't let her size fool you!) and Tanya at the front desk was very helpful. Dr. John was very professional and didn't leave me waiting in pain. If your Dentist doesn't make you Smile, why would you go anywhere else but Nixa Smiles?

Fantastic experience: I have come a long way in 3 years. I'll never go to another dentist. I used to cry every visit because 1. I was scared (due to past experiences with other dentists) and 2. I knew I had a lot more work to be done, the financial burden felt so daunting. Dr. Kelly is always up front and honest about what needs to be done, options, and cost. She assures me it's okay to let her know if I'm in pain, she wants to know. I've never felt judged or put down for how bad I let my teeth get, rather I've been encouraged and lifted up for not giving up. I'm so happy I found this team. They've taken all the anxiety out of dental care for me. I'm so grateful. 7/2025 - I am still working at getting all my teeth in shape. I trust Dr.Kelly and her team. I still get tense (it's hard to not anticipate pain), but I've had only good experiences here. Just had work done on my front teeth. Those shots are not fun, but it was genuinely the best I think anyone could expect. I really didn't feel anything. I was shocked. I will say it again, I am so thankful I found this team.

Positive experience: Update 6-3-25: I was going through treatment for my gingivitis. I had some “testing” done for bacteria to see if I needed any antibiotics. I was never contacted after like I was told I would be so I figured I was in the clear. Today I went on my Walgreens app to refill a prescription and saw a random prescription that had the dentist’s name on it. Confused on what this was, I gave them a call and was told they sent me a text about it back in March (which I never received). It concerned me that nobody bothered to follow up and unfortunately, this was not the first time that communication was lacking. I got a half-hearted apology so I guess that counts for something? **I won’t delete the original review because the hygienists, assistants, and Dr. Yoon are all awesome and provided great care.** I had a horrible experience at another dentist that put me off dental care for a while. I decided to find another office and I’m so glad I did. I really appreciate how patient Dr. Yoon is and the assistants/hygienists are just as great. I’m very glad I found Nixa Smiles.

Negative experience: A very disappointing experience. I came in for a basic cleaning and sat for well over an hour. I was then told they did not have time to clean my teeth and I would need to come back.

They are straightforward and have friendly staff, Appointment availability- they have been awesome for my entire family even my under three year old kids. You can also tell that the practice invests in their equipment and building so the exam and cleaning rooms are pretty high tech. Really cool folks. If you're in the area you should make an appointment with this place if you need dental services.

I can't say enough how excellent, professional and courteous the staff are here. They are by far the best dental team we have ever had which is why we keep coming back!

Fantastic experience: Called all over Springfield looking for any dentist that had a opening to rip this devil out of my gum line. Nixa smiles gave top of the line service and care for the issue I came in for and quickly and effectively removed the painful tooth out!

Positive experience: New patient here. Liked everything about the place and people. Would have been 5 stars if they didn’t want me to prepay for my fillings appointment. At 60 years old I have never prepaid for a dentist procedure. I have never prepaid for a doctors appointment. I don’t prepay for my haircut when I make an appointment. I don’t prepay for my dinner when I make a reservation. I don’t prepay when I make an appointment for getting my auto serviced. Why would I prepay my dentist. I pay my bills religiously. My credit history is flawless. I don’t agree with the dentist holding my money before any work is completed. It just feels wrong. There is no discount for pre pay. I have no history of missed appointments. I have no history of non payment for service. It is surely a matter of reducing losses on their end by categorizing all patients as non compliant in matters of payments and showing up. It’s really a shame because I really like this place.
