Fantastic experience: Everyone here does their best to give a pleasant dental experience. My recent dental work was pain free, with excellent results! Updated: 9-4-25.....Dr.Park and her team did an excellent job examining my bad Tooth and consulting with me the best possible fix. We eventually decided on full extraction, and the procedure was painless. She talked me through the process, and the follow up. I highly recommend Carolina's Dental Midtown for your dental needs. And don't forget to floss!

Fantastic experience: Dr Park is the best dentist I have ever had work on my teeth & her assistant is the absolute best as well! From the moment I walked in the whole office created such a welcoming atmosphere & helped me with every step along the way, explaining everything & I felt so comfortable! I did not feel like I was with strangers I felt like I was with family. This is the best dentist office in Wilmington, probably even the whole state of NC & I am only going here from now on! Wish I could give 10 stars

Fantastic experience: Dr. Park and all the staff were great! They got me in and out with a decayed wisdom tooth extraction and it literally took 30 seconds. And as someone who does not currently have dental insurance, I also only payed around $340 total for the exam and extraction which felt more than fair. Thanks guys!

Negative experience: I absolutely would NOT go to this dentist. I was made to come in for a cavity, although this tooth had not bothered me at all which I thought was odd, as I am no stranger to a lot of dental work. I go in after a pretty brutal cleaning yesterday that the dentist had to do as there was no available hygienist, my mouth still hurting, they have lost my X-rays after adding them to someone else’s chart yesterday, so she numbs me up anyway, brutally and forcefully up my jaw almost into my nose. Again, I’ve had lots of dental work, never have I experienced such a painful numbing injection! After half my face went numb, including my nose and eye socket, she retakes X-rays to discover there actually is NO cavity. Then they can’t figure out how to refund the money I paid for a service I didn’t need. Then they take my bite guard to clean and it isn’t even very clean! Now, with my face still numb after 3 hours, I’m left wondering if the last few visits where I paid close to $1000 for treatment, if I even needed that treatment then too??!! Beware!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Park and her team were excellent, they gave me all the information I needed to know at the time based on x-rays and their expertise. And not to mention, we had a good laugh at the end. Awesome place, definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: This practice is top notch. The dentist did an outstanding job with my bonding and the hygienists are great. They make recommendations but unlike some other dentists they don't push unnecessary procedures in order to make a profit. I recommend them highly!

Fantastic experience: I thought I had broken a tooth and called this morning and they got me in this evening. What a totally appreciate about this office is they work to get you in quickly and if there is not work to be done then they don’t try and just get dental work$$$$! I trust them and this office runs like a well oiled machine - filled with the nicest people ever. The dentists are class acts— what an honor to have such a trusting dentist office. Negative experience: This group and practitioners are extremely unprofessional. Please look at all 1 star reviews for the truth about this place! Don’t recommend, inflated pricing especially INVISALIGN! A basic cleaning and X-rays costs a new patient $540? I wasn’t even contacted about the outstanding balance for months. My husband found out about it when he went to pay on his own account. Very disorganized office and lack of communication. My husband asked if they’d speak to a supervisor about getting this bill reevaluated since it was ridiculously high, which in response he got a no. It’s very crazy that my bill could’ve gone to collections and I wouldn’t have even known about it. I don’t appreciate that at all. Back to the cost…. I don’t have gum disease and the advertised price for X-rays and cleanings are $373….So the ridiculous up-charge threw me off. No one has ever responded to my messages online until I made a review. It’s very frustrating when I’m trying to understand these up-charges. I will also say I felt pressured and bullied into Invisalign. I didn’t have my wisdom teeth out quite yet and wanted to wait before getting the Invisalign. It felt very pushy to get me into braces when I only came in for a cleaning. But the funny thing is, I never wanted braces for myself until that appointment where they showed me the itero scan. Felt very self conscious after that, thank you! I have switched offices and I’ve also gotten a second opinion with my Invisalign which will cost me $1,700 less than Carolina Dentists office’s estimate. Feel free to email me to explain why my first visit was $540 instead of your listed price of $373. Update: Nothing was “rectified.” Phone call was pointless. Prices online are misleading and have stipulations that aren’t listed. I am still irritated to find out about my outstanding bill through my husband going to pay for his own visit. I’ve asked a few dentist in town and they couldn’t believe a cleaning costs over $540. That’s what you get when you go to a dental franchise. Save your money and go somewhere else. Especially when other practices are offering Invisalign for $1200 cheaper. Please do your research! Many of their reviews are very old and are for other practices located at the same address. I would recommend Independence Dental Care, they are up front about costs and are reasonably priced! Can’t believe a cleaning was $540!!

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth taken out a week ago at an oral surgeon, and ended up having a negative experience. I called Carolinas Dentist from work at 6:56pm on a Tuesday (4 min from their closing time) and asked if they would be able to help check on how it is healing from the procedure and investigate increased sensitivity pain and a few other symptoms. I spoke with Bonnie on the phone and she was so incredibly nice, answered all of my questions, and was able to get me in the very next day. Never once felt like I was being bothersome even when the call ran past their closing time and she genuinely seemed concerned for my wellbeing. The appointment itself was also good overall the only negative I have to say is there was some decent wait periods in between checking my mouth out, Xrays, imaging, checkout, etc. The waiting could have also been because they had to squeeze me in the next day for my exam. Thanks guys and shoutout to Bonnie.

Being a new patient the moment I walked in the door to check in the ladies were pretty , professional , knowledgeable and friendly. Fantastic experience: I brought my 86 year-old mother to the dentist today because she was complaining of a toothache. She was very fearful. Carolina dentist went above and beyond to assure her and treated her with such care and kindness. They continually wow me!

Fantastic experience: Third time here. Taylor took care of me as the hygienist and she is amazing. In three trips, this is the third different hygienist. As having someone dig around in your mouth is a bit concerning, this is not like having someone new put air in your tires. Taylor listened to my concerns and did not make promises but instead proved she is amazing at her profession with her actions. Saw a new Dentist as well due to maternity leave (and no issues with this at all as bringing life into this world requires folks to take time to focus 100% on this new human!) and Dr Park is personable, professional, and thorough.

Fantastic experience: Great first visit. Everything was top notch from start to finish. Got an appointment on short notice. I was able to start my appointment early. Kaelan was terrific. Took her time and really made sure my teeth got as clean as possible. Great customer service. Dr Kinsley gave me good advice on how to handle any more issues should they arise. For a first visit you all knocked it out of the park. Will return. Also the sunglasses are quite stylish !

Fantastic experience: Dr. Park removed two more teeth in 20 minutes! The entire visit took 25 minutes, she is awesome! No pain. Definitely see her if you have tooth pain.

Negative experience: Call around First! Don't make the same mistake I did. I had a bad tooth that needed to be extracted. First you pay $150 just to see someone. That wasn't the problem. For the extraction. Which wasn't surgical. And a bone graft cost me $400+ for the extraction. $800+! for the bone graft. So around $1400 total. After it was done. Everyone told me that it was way too much. So I did what I should have done first and called around. 7 random dentist offices were half price or less! Don't take my word for it. See for yourself. Call around.

Fantastic experience: The girls in the office are pleasant and professional. I never have to wait to be seen. Hayley the hygienist was friendly and thorough and Dr.Kinsley was friendly and professional! All in all a positive dental experience!

Fantastic experience: Best dental practice in town!!! Dr. Park is amazing and has a wonderful bedside manner. The team at Carolina Dentist is no different. They are absolutely wonderful and obviously work well as a team. They are personable yet very professional and offer a level of care I have not experienced in a very long time. They remind me of my childhood dentist who felt like home. Their in-house insurance plan is also extremely beneficial. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Had sever toothache and needed to see a dentist asap. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day at Carolinas dentist and was promptly seen. Everyone there was so awesome! I wish they were my regular dentist. I highly recommend this dentistry!

Fantastic experience: The dentists and I see Dr Kinsley, are so knowledgeable and the office staff… and hygienists (i see Melanie) and assistants .. All of them make you feel welcome and answer all your questions. everything is done in her office so whether it’s an implant or a crown Etc. it’s all done there. That helps with saving time. I cannot say enough good things about Dr kinsley.

Negative experience: I have never posted a negative review until today. I’m so disappointed in the lack of care and responsibility taken by this company. My husband went in on Friday needing to get looked at for a tooth that was causing him severe pain. They told us he needed a root canal but that they could not treat him that day because they were closing so they’d call in an antibiotic to fight the infection over the weekend until they could get him in again which wouldn’t be until Monday. When we left to get the prescription we realized the dentist had never sent the script over and could not get a hold of them the rest of the weekend. The pain got so bad that Sunday we had to go get an emergency dental appt with a different company and remove the tooth. I called first thing Monday morning to request a refund since the script was never sent over. They refused to refund and were un able to work with us on the situation nor did the doctor apologize for the mistake.

Fantastic experience: We have been very happy with our cleanings and services. Our whole family has been going for the past year. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They can always accommodate our busy schedule. I ordered replacement retainers for my son at a great price.

Negative experience: Title: "The Breath" I went in for a cleaning.
I left with trauma. My mouth—too small.
Their tools—too big.
Their breath—unspeakable. It wasn’t air.
It was a presence. I couldn’t scream.
My mouth was full.
And the smell… it’s still with me. ☠️ They gave me a toothbrush.
But it can’t scrub away what I saw. ★☆☆☆☆

Fantastic experience: I popped a crown and “they”’ had me glued back in less than an hour. My office is 15 minutes away from their office. Everyone there was so nice!! And I felt like the price was very reasonable. And they are not send me a $20 bill later Dr Bush!! Bush league!

Fantastic experience: I usually have a hard time with health care appointments, usually I feel bullied or lied to in some way and that wasn’t the case here. I even brought my bf w me to make me feel more comfortable and they didn’t give me a hard time with having him in the room which was nice. Everyone was kind and explained everything well that I had questions about. Typically I feel like I’m being shoved out the door or just not paid attention to but this was a nice place and an overall good experience I’m glad I found them.
