Negative experience: This is a horrible place to get dental work done. I would not take my dog there. They tried to charge me Twice for procedures that should have been covered by insurance. According to my agreed upon treatment plan, I had fulfilled all of my financial obligations, but they were trying to get me to pay the portion that was suppose to be covered by my insurance and would not schedule future appointments. I contacted my insurance providers and they indicated to me twice that Aspen Dental Douglasville had never submitted to them the required documentation for them to get reimbursed. I believed that they were trying to “double dip” by getting me and the insurance company to pay my bill twice. When you call them on the phone, they don’t answer in a timely way and when they do answer, they place you on a long 10 minute hold and eventually hang up on you. This has happened 3 times and even happened on a 3-way call with my insurance company. My new dentist found sloppy cleaning work that was done by them just 3 months ago. They also have terrible customer service and will not send your records in a timely manner. to my new dentist. This place is terrible. If you want good dental work, stay away from them. Very poor customer service.

Negative experience: The techs in the back were very nice. I went in for tooth pain, and they were able to see me quickly. After X-rays, I saw a dentist who told me I needed a root canal. I was told my tooth was infected. The doctor who would do the surgery was a couple weeks out so they told me they would send some prescriptions over to get by until then. I went to pick them up and it was just a pain reliever. I called back and asked about antibiotics, and was told they were not needed even though the tooth was infected. A few hours later when I was out of town for work, the pharmacy called and told me antibiotics were ready. I was not able to get them for two more days because I was lied to by Aspen. The pain was still very bad so I followed up with a different dentist that could see me sooner. I requested X-rays from Aspen, but was told it could be up to two weeks to get digital X-rays. I paid to have more done at the other dentist, and was advised there was nothing infected in my mouth and no need at all for a root canal. Checked with another dentist and was told the exact same thing. Pain was from grinding my teeth when I slept, so they made me a guard and pain was gone the next day. Glad I did not let Aspen do a procedure that was not needed so they could get paid.

Negative experience: Dr.Shaw was very thorough and kind, explained thing at a pace I understood and reassured me about my plan of service, Mrs. Brooklyn and Mrs. Te'ona both were high spirited kind and made me feel comfortable and assured this experience is going to be just fine. The front desk people acted a bit aggravated with me asking many questions. I had two strokes 9 weeks ago and have a extra hard time to understand things. Corporate flat out LIED to me about the process pricing and discount. For that reason I feel this experience was a lot misdirection and simple lying. Which is sad

Negative experience: I didn’t know I would loose my spot after 6 months after paying Care Credit so much money only to get an extraction and 1 cleaning. I was under the impression I would be getting maintenance every 6 months for my periodontal, guess I’ll be moving along where the give better details on dental plans and not just push prices in your face.

Fantastic experience: The staff were very welcoming and warming during our appointment. The dental assistant Te’ona was very patient and gentle while taking x-rays. Dr. Shaw was very thorough with her exam and explained the recommended treatment plan in a way that was easy to understand and without judgement. She answered questions and was patient. Negative experience: I was expecting an examination and cleaning in one visit according to the scheduler. I arrived 30 minutes ahead of time, then sat for 2hrs before beginning exam. The assistants took my blood pressure 5 times and it took 2 of them, with two different devices. The doctor's bedside manner was cold and the hygienist planned to pay off her Mercedes, by recommending a high-priced scaling at $6,000.00 with 3 sessions!! I explained to her that I'm 58yrs old never had a cavity just had cleaning 8 months ago with my regular dentist of 10yrs. This place is definitely a scam!! Don't trust this location of Aspen, unless you want to be robbed!!

Negative experience: Waited over an hour to be seen from my appointment time. The person who did my X-rays was personable, friendly, as well as the hygienist. The Dr. rushed through my teeth, did not thoroughly review my X-rays, and saw me for 5 minutes to say your teeth are great. I had to point out my cavities. And then come to the billing and the office manager did offer real assistance, especially when she saw I was hesitant. I felt like I wasted my time and will end up finding another dentist. Sometimes these google ratings are very misleading.

Fantastic experience: I had to get a molar extracted. The work was done at the Douglasville Aspen Dental. It was a tooth that had a few different fillings for over the past 20 years that couldn't be saved. The tooth was infected I was in severe pain. Although, I have a high pain tolerance so that is never my fear when going to the dentist. My fear is the laying back in that chair with someone digging around in my mouth, and me not having control over the process!! Dr. C and the assistant Misty were wonderful. They explained the entire process to me and talked me through as they worked. They constantly asked if I was in any pain or if I needed them to stop so I could breathe. They were very caring and they have good bedside manners. The process went smoothly and only took about 10 minutes. It's been about three weeks since the procedure and I am fully healed with no issues.

Positive experience: I was very worried about going, do you know when you read some bad reviews but I’ll tell you, this place got me in when I was in so much pain, and pulled my teeth that were hurting with no pain. Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment, then got a phone call that I can't have that appointment. I told her it was for a problem. I was told to still come in at 7:30am. I get there and was told I would be a walk in. I explained the phone conversation but that did not matter. I sat back down and was called to come back through the doors and was told since I started at Austell location that is where I would have to go and that I could not be seen at the Douglasville location. Aspen dental is Aspdn dental so now you can only go to the one you started at. Rude disrespectful and no professionalism at the Douglasville site.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO. A nightmare experience even with insurance covering the procedure. The desk staff luxuriate in their incompetence. They don't even bother to call insurance directly when needed. They are clearly tickled by other's despair and it's disgusting. Further, Michael Earl Hall Jr. DMD is too egotistical, thoughtless and inconsiderate to interact with patients. He should at an animal hospital. UPDATE: I got my extraction done at Southwest Maxillofacial Surgery & Implant Center instead and WOW. I wasn't wrong at all. The surgeon was better, communication was clearer, front desk staff were smarter, the price was half, and my recovery was sooo much faster. Turns out, Aspen Dental might as well be a butcher shop.

Positive experience: The staff was polite and professional, but there was no real warmth and empathy. After being asked to get a release form and told that I could go to "any urgent care" to get it done, I was told that was not true. I am not going to say this was a horrible experience. It was just an experience. I've also chosen to go with another dentist to get the work I need done. Honestly, I got the impression they would have preferred that anyway. Whether or not I recommend them, that's up to you. That's all I can say.

Negative experience: I had a 3:30pm appointment for a follow up teeth cleaning that was made 4 months in advance after an initial deep cleaning. I had to leave my job early to to arrive by that time. After showing up precisely at 3:30pm, I was told that I couldn't be seen because of a 15 minute grace period that had already expired. After telling the receptionist that my appointment was at 3:30pm, she told me that I was scheduled for 3:15pm and that I will need to reschedule. Every text message and email reminder that I received dating back to my original appointment, said that I was scheduled for 3:30pm. Yet , I was told no, my appointment was at 3:15pm. In addition, I know that I would not have agreed to 3:15pm due to how my work schedule is set up. This is the second time that I had been displeased with the service at this location. With that said, I will not schedule a follow up here, but rather take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time visiting this office, it started with Ms. Keena signing in and completing my New Patient paperwork she was very pleasant and helpful,Then I moved on to the X-rays with Ms. Brooklyn she took time to explain why she needed so many X-rays, we both laughed at this, then I met the dental hygienist Ms. Sherry she explained the damage from the X-rays and how to fix the damage. I then met with Ms. Keyanni Shaw the doctor, she was able to explain in details about the damage and how to take care of the damage in a very detailed plan. So finally I met with Ms. Lameshia T who was God sent she took her time and worked the numbers down so that I could make sure I was able to pay my portion of the bill without having to worry about paying the bill. She went above and beyond just trying to make sure that I was able to get my Smile back with confidence and not worry about the payment process. Fantastic experience: I recommend Aspen Dental to all my friends and family. The receptionist is very nice and they always make me feel comfortable & at home. The dental hygienist is very informational without making you feel like you’re being judged. Dr.Shaw is a great dentist & she always makes her patients feel comfortable and ready for each procedure. Also, the vibes are amazing and music is played as you’re going through your procedures to make you feel more comfortable. Overall I love this dentist and have been going since high school. Don’t hesitate to come up and get that dental work done that you’ve been putting off.

Negative experience: I made an appointment on a Thursday due to severe mouth pain and swelling. I took pain pills everyday to stop the pain waiting for this appointment. The Rep made the appointment for the next week on a Wednesday at 4:30. Someone from the office called and said I had to be there at 3:30 or the doc will not see me. I had to take off work to get there at 3:30 only to sit until 4:15 when I was called to the back. I were pissed. Got to the back they did a full exam. Pulling on my mouth and checking all my teeth. Told me to sit back out front so the office manager could discuss payment. They gave me a care plan for $1600 to keep going back for 8 visits and did not help me at all. I left with the same pain and swelling I had when I got there. So now I have to go somewhere else to get help for the pain. I do not recommend and I will never go back there. I wish I would have known all of this before waiting in pain. I would have been found somewhere else to go. SMH

Fantastic experience: Great experience. I booked the appointment online and was able to be seen the next business day. When I arrived, the entire staff was friendly. I was a new patient and I received a very thorough examination. I received specialized attention and did not feel rushed. Dr. Shaw was very personable and provided treatment options. I did not feel pressured to make a decision at that moment. Sherry, my new hygienist, was stellar. I don't believe I have EVER had such a thorough cleaning. I absolutely recommend her. My search is over.

Negative experience: Paying 60% of the cost before services are rendered is too much, especially when they call 2 hours before your scheduled appointment to cancel due to some equipment malfunction. They are sitting on your money while you wait for them to reschedule

Fantastic experience: Great service. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. This was my first visit and I feel so comfortable getting my procedures done there. Positive experience: The staff was pleasant. Booking was unclear however. Booked for a new patient consultation and cleaning but was told that cleaning would not be performed. Stood in a very crowded waiting room for 1 hour prior to being pulled back for the exam. Not enough seating. Was there for two and a half hours to only find out we were not getting a cleaning. Only X-rays and consultation from the dentist. Was a waste of a day off work.

From there, the team is able to make recommendations and discuss options that meet one’s individual needs. Negative experience: The dental care I received was very good, the dentist was professional and explained everything to me in detail. The customer service was very inconsistent at this location, when initially making an appointment we were given incorrect information about their pricing and about the service that I was requesting to be performed. I was told prior to my visit that the requested service was no problem but when I arrived I was told that they may or may not have been able to provide me the service that day. I would suggest that they spend much needed time with the staff as to the importance of consistency between the office personnel and the personnel taking the appointments to insure that the correct information is conveyed to potential customers to avoid unnecessary confusion.

Negative experience: The techs in the back was friendly. My problem was what I was told how much I were to pay upon arrival. They ended up giving me all type of X-rays, talking to me about more than what I came there for which was for an extraction that the CSR told me it would $219, pay $29 dollars upon arrival and pay the rest later. The Consult Summary came up to be $10,334. I told the young lady I didn't have that much money and couldn't pay $299 the CSR told me a different price for the extraction and that's all I wanted done. She said to me, how was I going to get my tooth pulled with no money. I said to her I came with what the lady told me on the phone and wasn't expecting all this. She said, well her's your paperwork come back when you get the money because this is what you would need. Yes this all happened. If I knew this was how it was going to happen I would have never called. I know whomever own this facility don't have control of how their employees talk to the Customers, but they need to know.

Negative experience: In order to post this review I had to select a star. However, in reality I would give ASPEN DENTAL - DOUGLASVILLE ZERO stars. The customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE. I made an appointment for my son almost a month ago. On Saturday 6/28/2025 we received a call from a representative to indicate that the health card they have on file for him needs updating and if they are not able to update it that Saturday his appointment for Monday would be cancelled. That I find to be unacceptable, the appointment was made over 3 weeks ago, and it is on the weekend before he is to go that that call is being made. Worse to suggest that the appointment would be cancelled after they delayed to prepare for the appointment. UNACCEPTABLE. It gets worse. I sent him with his Grandmother because i wasn't able to attend and the attendant at the front desk, absolutely refused to check him in to see a Dentist. She indicated that i would need to send written consent plus she took a look at the card and immediately refused it. Why she refused it...she said it only said medical. Lets address the written consent. He has gone to the Dermatologist with his Grandmother and they DID NOT refuse to see him without a consent form. He has gone to the Cardiologist with his Grandmother and they DID NOT refuse to see him without a consent form. He has been to ASPEN DENTAL - Douglasville with his Grandmother in the past and WAS NOT REFUSED. He went to ASPEN DENTAL - Douglasville this morning 6/30/2025 to do a CLEAN and he was DENIED after waiting so longer for an appointment. Lets address the medical card. The attendant who disregarded the card did not even stop to call the health care provider. MORON let me enlighten your darkness. If you had called the health care provider you would have been educated that they no longer print those cards and the number on the medical card is the same number used for the DENTAL...BUT NO..YOU WERE SO DISMISSIVE AND CALLUS to my Mother and son. My conclusion.. from the get go there was an issue. I don't know if ASPEN DENTAL Douglasville was over booked and wanted to lighten the load of patients to see or what was going on, but clearly something was amiss, OR perhaps that is the type of customer service you are providing now...but it was absolutely unacceptable. I certainly will not be taking my son there anymore. There are too many other Dentist around for me to tolerable HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience at this dental office due to a lack of professionalism and poor appointment management. I received multiple confirmations, including text messages, stating that my appointment was scheduled for 10:45 AM. However, upon arrival, the receptionist with burgundy-colored braids insisted my appointment was at 10:15 AM and refused to review the confirmation messages I offered to show. Her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. Thankfully, an associate named Lameshia was kind and understanding. She took the time to explain that the office was running behind but assured me they would work me in. Still, it was frustrating to see other patients—whose appointments were scheduled after mine—being called in before me. If you’re looking for a professional and well-organized dental office, I recommend exploring other options first.

Fantastic experience: This location was absolutely pleasant. The staff and the location very clean and professional. Each technician and doctor were very knowledgeable and generous in sharing and explaining about my mother’s care. Another elderly client showed up for her appointment alone and the staff showed great concern about her wellbeing and her mode of transportation back home from the facility.

Fantastic experience: This experience begins with a broken bottom plate as the dentures I've had since 2005 deteriorated into a relic of days gone by. So, I decided to stay local for a new pair . I decided to go to Aspen Dental Douglasville. From start to finish the process has been very pleasant. Negative experience: If I could give this place a -zero rating I would. Not because of the dentists, I've seen both dentist and oral surgeon and they were great, but because of the front desk staff. They are horrible and unconcerned. Speaking of the bald blonde and the little skinny one with the bad braids. My first issue was about a month ago, I scheduled an appointment for 7:30 am, get there and they didn't even have me on the books. I rescheduled again for today at 7:30 and advised that my insurance changed effective 6/1/25. They hadn't sent us our cards yet, so I'm thinking they could find my carrier and look me up in the system like the other dental offices, the bald blonde, told me I had to pay $269 up front and I asked if she could look my info up and she told me I had to have the info on me. She then told me that I had 15 minutes to get the info or they'd have to reschedule. I called my benefits office, but they didn't open until 8 am and since I had until 7:45 to get the info, they couldn't see me. I told her that my benefits office wasn't open yet. She didn't confirm whether I wanted to reschedule or nothing and didn't even look up from behind the desk, so I walked out. They laziness was atrocious. This is why I try my BEST not to be a patron to a black establishment.

Negative experience: Yes, the reason why I’m writing this because I was so disappointed in 2023 that I went to Aspirin Dental, to get work they told me to borrow money from CareCredit and when I went back, it kept saying oh you need $300. They disappointed me. I wanted my teeth done before my daughter graduate, and it wasn’t done because the business office lady got mad because I called Corpo on her and she said hey don’t call corporate. You will get me in trouble so I don’t know what they did, but when I kept when I called back, they kicked me out of the whole Aspen Dental which leaves me. Not to get my teeth done so it’s 2025 and I still haven’t got my teeth done, but I have to pay clear credit all this money and I have insurance too. They are very very rude and instead of them trying to send me to another one they didn’t do that so please don’t go to Aspirin Dental, too. They’re very rude. There didn’t help me a bit so I’m still paying the care credit back and doesn’t have my mouth fixed
Negative experience: I’ve been trying to receive a refund FOR MONTHS for something I was charged for and should’ve never been charged for! I’ve been getting the runaround with this office and I’ve been a loyal client with them FOR YEARS. If you want to call endless times for your money back that you’re owed, GO HERE.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so wonderful. I came for emergency tooth pain so it was my first visit. I didn’t know what to expect but everyone was kind and gentle from the front desk to the back offices. My emergency procedure went well and I’m so glad they could do it same day! Emily and Princess Tiana were awesome and so was Dr. Gabe and Brooklyn and the others who’s names escape me now. They helped me with financing my dental work and everything. I’ll be back

Negative experience: If I could give them zero stars I would! I called them inquiring about an appointment and they said they could get me in on Saturday at 12pm. I had to take off work which is an inconvenience but I needed to see a dentist asap. I then get a call telling me to be there at 8am instead of 12pm. I informed them that someone already booked me for 12pm and that the lady said that no my appointment will be for 8am. I said ok no problem. The following day I get a text message confirming me to be be at their office at 12pm? So now im like whats going on??When I called them to confirm my recent text they said no you are scheduled for 12pm not 8am! I said wait a minute I'm getting 2 different times to be there so what is the correct time for my appointment? She then said 12pm is your correct appointment time because they don't close til 3pm on Saturday. I said ok. So I call out of work Saturday morning for my confirmed dental appointment at 12pm on Saturday. I then arrive at 11:50 am. When I get to the front desk and inform them of my appointment, I'm told unfortunately your appointment was at 8am and you didn't show so we canceled your appointment. I'm like WHAT??? I took off work and you all informed me 3 times that my appointment was for 12pm? She then said oh that was the call center?? So I said there's no connection between the office and call center to give people the right times? This is extremely unprofessional and not how you run a business. She then said I can reschedule you for May 6th? I told her HELL NO!! I already been deceived by Aspen dental and their unprofessionalism the 1st time, and I refuse to be deceived by Aspen Dental again and then I walked out. There's no accountability for their mistake and now I'm left with missing a day of work and I still haven't received dental service. I didn't even receive a text message stating that I missed my appointment if it was supposed to be at 8am??? Aspen Dental is totally unprofessional so please people BEWARE!!! Of this scam place!!!

Negative experience: do not recommend!!! maybe we just had a bad experience but we will not be returning!!! a procedure was done that was not consented to while under anesthesia! once we contacted the office a few days later when able to fully talk again we were given nothing but attitude the entire time!!!
