Fantastic experience: Dr.Baxter is amazing. We have had so many struggles with our 6 week old and our pediatrician recommend Dr.Baxter. He was a blessing! He went above and beyond, answered any questions and was so personable. He even personally called at the end of the day to check on our sweet boy. Would recommend this center to anyone. Everyone was so helpful and kind!

Positive experience: 1/2025: As an adult SLP, I was skeptical at first. However, Dr. Trego and the staff proved me wrong. They were very thorough and helpful throughout the whole process. She prayed over my son prior to the tongue tie procedure and provided a copy of their book free as well. She also called me the night after the procedure like she said she would. The stretches with a 3yo are rough but worth it. 8/2025: Revising my review because our son had to have his tongue recorrected and lip corrected. Dr. Baxter did these procedures this time. He was excellent for the procedures and environment was sterile, but his bedside manner was more off putting than Dr. Trego. He seemed rushed and annoyed during the additional follow ups we requested to insure neither tie reattached. He insinuated that because I am an adult SLP, that I should know the answers to all the questions I asked him. Anyone who works in speech path knows that pediatric TOTs is a specialty. Even with me being an adult SLP, we still went to a pediatric TOTs SLP for the initial assessment that led us here. All and all, the procedure was fine, environment was sterile, his staff is very friendly. But, the manual stretches with our 3.5yo were brutal and the lackluster bedside manner and reluctancy to answer our questions from Dr. Baxter this time around certainly did not help our stress.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter was absolutely amazing with my 4 year old son and I am so thankful we were referred to him. He was extremely thorough, explained everything to us and made my son feel so comfortable throughout the entire appt and procedure. He even said a prayer with us before the procedure and called to check on him this evening. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Baxter to anyone who needs a tongue tie procedure!

Fantastic experience: I could not be more pleased and impressed with Dr. Baxter and his staff! After being told by an ENT that my baby’s lip-tie was not a concern, he struggled gaining weight and keeping his growth on track. His lip-tie was pretty significant and he had a posterior tongue-tie as well. Dr. Baxter revised both in office the same day. He was very kind and understanding about our situation. I’m so glad that we were referred to him!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter and his staff are incredibly professional and compassionate people. This is our second time using their practice for our child’s lip and tongue tie revisions. We used them for our first son back in 2021 as well. They take time to educate the parents and the procedure is fast and they take every action to ensure your child is as comfortable as possible. Dr. Baxter takes time to pray with you before the procedure. It’s really an all around great experience.

Fantastic experience: Seeing Dr. Baxter has been a life changing experience and it has only been 5 days. Our 5 month old (almost 6 months) has spit up since day one. We were told she was a happy spitter so we said ok! Then as time went on, she still spit up SO much. She was on the lower end of growth charts. We tried Pepcid with no good results. They did an ultrasound to check for pyloric stenosis and it was normal. We were referred to a pediatric GI. They did an upper GI series and said she’s ok just a little girl, just supplement with a little formula for extra calories, spitting up peaks at this age so it will be over soon and try solids. We started solids and waited it out with no change. I finally took her to a chiropractor and they found an upper lip tie immediately. We made an appointment with Dr. Baxter that day and were in within a week. We made the 2 hour drive. He found an upper lip tie, a thick tongue tie, and cheek ties on both sides. He trested/lasered them all at once where our daughter was gone from us for not even 5 minutes. That day we saw immediate results. It has been 5 days and we are not going through several outfits a day, several burp rags a day, and she has only spit up maybe 5 or 6 times since we saw him. The spit up amount has been a very normal amount for a baby. Nothing concerning. I can’t wait for our follow up to see how much weight she has gained. If we had never went to see him, we man never had any answers and been fighting a life long battle. Her latch is better and she holds a paci in her mouth with no problems now. This has been a life changing experience for us. I will forever advocate for oral ties and treatment. Small tie, one tie, many ties…any at all. Five plus stars for Dr. Baxter and what he has done for our precious daughter.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter and his staff were amazing. He made my son feel comfortable during the entire process and explained everything in great detail. I would recommend him to anyone who needs to get a tongue tie release! He took the time to call and check on him the same evening and prayed over him before the procedure began…at first I felt nervous about this procedure but that all changed the moment I stepped foot in Dr. Baxter’s office. Oh, and we drove 2 hours from Atlanta….1000% worth it ☺️

Fantastic experience: This place is great. From the very first conversation with someone I had here, to the very last follow-up appointment, we’ve had a great experience. Chloe talked to me for 45 minutes over the phone and put me at ease before even making the consultation. The girls who work here are truly so sweet. They have always answered anytime I’ve called, you can tell they genuinely care about your concerns, they’re very organized and helpful. I love that Dr. Baxter gets straight to the point, but is also reassuring. You can tell he is good at what he does. The procedure itself was very quick. We are one week out and my baby just stuck his tongue out at me for the first time!

Fantastic experience: This month we celebrated our daughter's 1st birthday and, as we look back on this past year, my husband and I are so very grateful God led us to Dr. Baxter a few months after she was born. Following her tongue and lip tie procedures, our little girl was able to move her tongue freely, nurse properly and enjoy her infancy sans gas pains. Immediately her sleep improved and, as we transitioned to solids, she’s been able to eat more easily! Dr. Baxter was extremely thorough, kind and informative. The peace we feel knowing all the benefits that come from this procedure, from infancy all the way to adulthood, is so reassuring and knowing our daughter was in such good hands at the Alabama Tongue-Tie Center brought us such comfort! Not only was Dr. Baxter such a Godsend, but the entire staff was always extremely accommodating and helpful. We don't live nearby, but our phone calls and emails were always answered promptly. Fantastic experience: Wow. We traveled 2 hours to see Dr. Baxter and we are so glad that we did. His entire team was fantastic, welcoming and explained everything so well. We had zero doubts that our little girl would be in caring, trusting hands. The procedure took 3 minutes tops and our baby was feeding within 1 minute after. She had a full latch on her bottle and was relaxed. They did a fantastic job and we are so thankful that we had this done to prevent any further feeding issues as well as any developmental delays in the future. If you’re hesitant - don’t be. Book a consultation and get it done for your baby! Night and day difference. Dr. Baxter also called us after that same evening to check on her. The doctor I had in the ER for a postpartum hemorrhage didn’t even check on me and he took the time to do so. He also prayed over our little girl beforehand which helped us feel relaxed as well! 10/10!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t even know where to begin! From the time I called to schedule an appointment to the time we left yesterday, Dr. Baxter and his staff were nothing short of amazing. First, we were worked in a next day appointment. When we arrived (yesterday) to our appointment, the staff welcomed us with open arms. My 1 month old has had feeding difficulties since birth and had almost all of the symptoms to bring us in. Dr. Baxter was very thorough when going over symptoms and how these ties could be the cause of each. He was very caring and careful with my baby, and even listened to all of our concerns and made sure to let us know our concerns and feelings were very valid. . Once we were all in agreement and comfortable to proceed, the procedure time was literally like 5 minutes. They released a tongue, lip, and both cheeks. They made sure our child was okay before we left, gave us several resources for him, and Dr. Baxter even called later that evening to check on our child. We could already start telling a difference before we left the office. I couldn’t have anything better to say! Plus they take before and after pictures and it’s insane to see the differences! They also make sure you are able to contact someone if you have any questions or concerns!

Fantastic experience: TL;DR: From a dad’s perspective, it’s a 5 out of 5. We found out our son needed a tongue and lip tie consult two weeks ago at his first dentist appointment. Within 24 hours we had an appointment scheduled 2 weeks away. Not a bad turn around at all. Having been given glowing reviews of ATTC, I decided to try to educate myself on the condition and subsequent procedure. Ideally, I wanted to try to find out Dr Baxter’s credentials to know who we were meeting. Imagine my surprise when ATTC has a full YouTube page that has Dr Baxter explaining in detail the condition, the impact it has on child development, and the process for fixing the tongue/lip ties. Imagine my further shock when I watched videos he uploaded of the procedure with explanations! My wife is a nurse and I very much am not, so to have that level of detail in a video that’s easy to digest was pure dad-win. We were informed ahead of time insurance doesn’t cover the procedure and we knew going in a consult/tongue/lip tie would be $1100. We were also given instructions on filing an insurance reimbursal. (This procedure is considered a “medical” procedure. Dr Baxter is a dentist. Insurance cannot code a dentist performing a medical procedure, thus they don’t cover it). True to their word, paid the bill today and it was $1099. No add ons, no hidden fees. I loved the up front honesty. So we get there today for the procedure and everyone is exceedingly nice. The staff are all top notch and couldn’t have been kinder. We were shown one of Dr Baxters YouTube videos explaining the procedure as an intro before he came in. Dr Baxter is wonderful. Top tier bedside manner. As a dad, I’m used to being more or less ignored in baby/child doctor appointments. Dr Baxter split this attention evenly between us and included me in everything. He was genuine about it too. Not the “ask a question to dad and then right back to mom” lip service some doctors do. He really engaged with me and made me feel involved in my son’s health. That meant a lot to me. Now, this may not be for everyone so I want to include this so no one reading my essay is blindsided. Dr Baxter asked us if he could pray over our son before the procedure. We’re Christian and religious so that was a massive comfort to us and really helped put our minds at ease. We greatly appreciated that consideration. I understand not everyone feels that way so just be aware that’s likely a question you’ll be asked. This being a Friday afternoon, I didn’t expect a follow up phone call until Monday. I certainly didn’t expect Dr Baxter to personally call me. Even though it was just a quick phone call to check in, the fact Dr Baxter did it himself AND he called dad instead of mom (everyone always calls mom) really sealed the deal for me. This was a top notch crew with top tier professionalism. Their bedside manner is unrivaled. As a father, I’ve never felt more included and involved. As for my wife, she shared my sentiments and asked me to write a 5 star review. Let me stress, he did not exclude my wife or include me to her or our son’s detriment. It was true 50/50 respecting both of our roles in our son’s healthcare. I highly recommend Dr Baxter and his team and if our future kids should need this procedure, we will be coming here.

Had many other doctors make me feel like i was going crazy, and Doctor Baxter reassured me I wasn’t, explained in depth everythinggg, and has completely changed my baby for the better already. Negative experience: I was so upset I came to write a review for 1 star, but I want to recognize that the staff and initial procedure itself was a really good experience. My son had both a tongue tie and massive lip tie that needed to be released, and doing so has given my son so much peace in his life. He sleeps better, he eats better, and his speech and behavior have both improved dramatically. However... we drove 3 hours one way for this office, and we were heavily encouraged to return in person for a follow up. Because of this, it was frustrating and disappointed to return the next week for my husband to be rushed in and out with no opportunity to ask questions. And now for the main reason that triggered me to leave a review... We were told multiple times that this office was in network for All Kids, BUT WE had to file claim. So they asked us to pay out of pocket over $1,000 with the reassurance that they had lots of patients with All Kids and we would likely get a partial or full reimbursement. The claim was denied and I was informed that Alabama Tongue-Tie Center is not, and has never been, in network for All Kids. So keep that in mind when deciding on whether to use this office for your services.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter and his team were so kind and took such good care of my girl for her lip and tongue tie! He took his time asking questions about what we were experiencing and explaining everything to us. Could not recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: This place is fantastic. Dr Baxter and the rest of staff were so kind. They answered questions we had with Grace, were very thorough in their explanations, and handled our son so well! We never really realized how big of a difference tongue and lip ties can make, but as soon as he nursed after having gotten them removed, my wife was shocked at the night and day difference that came in terms of the discomfort she had while nursing. My wife’s a lot happier and comfortable, my son’s set up for success in the future, and that puts me at ease. I’d highly encourage anyone who thinks their child may have a tie to consult with Dr Baxter and his team!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter and his team were absolutely amazing. Our pediatrician referred our 3 week old to Dr. Baxter for a tongue and lip tie revision. When we found out his office was 2.5 hours away we were hesitant, but we heard nothing but great things, so we decided to go ahead and make the trip. From the time we first called the office and spoke to Chloe about how the procedure is done to the time our baby had his procedure, everything was explained so thoroughly from start to finish! All the worries we had disappeared. They make sure you leave knowing how to care for your kids post procedure. All the staff were so kind, the office was so clean and welcoming, just a great experience! Dr. Baxter also personally called to check on our baby after to see how he was doing. 10/10 recommend & worth the drive! I will add that they are the only office I was able to find that does the consultations and procedure same day (only if you want) rather than waiting weeks on in to get it done after a consult. Booking the appointment gave me a lot of reassurance into getting the help my baby needed. When I arrived, I felt immediate relief and knew I had done the right thing. After surgery, our son got a popsicle and played on the onsite playground—such thoughtful touches. Seeing the before-and-after photos were amazing. Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter and his team were absolutely amazing! They went over every individual symptom with us that we were experiencing. They were informative, reassuring, kind, and understanding. They even prayed over us before the procedure and put our minds at ease. We are so grateful for such a positive experience after the struggle we experienced with our baby’s tongue tie. Edit: 2 years later we just revisited Dr. Baxter for our second son who also had a tongue and lip tie. He was just as personable and genuine as before. He listened to all of our concerns, I didn’t feel rushed or pressured in any way and he prayed over us before the procedure. He even gave me a copy of his book for free to share with our lactation consultant.

We drove greater than 8 hours with a newborn and 4 year old and I would do it, again, in order to receive the phenomenal care we received. Both of our kiddos did great during and after the procedure. Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter was very personable, thorough, and informative. He truly cares about each of his patients and wants to serve each family to the best of his ability. They not only give you the service as advertised but also has little ways of making the experience personable. Not only were we miraculously worked in for a same day appointment, but Dr. Baxter spent so much time in the room with us making sure all of our questions and concerns were answered before proceeding with the tongue tie release. He explained everything clearly and was so reassuring and encouraging! All of the staff we encountered were professional and kind. Being able to see the before and after photos of my baby's mouth while he explained the treatment performed was so eye opening too! Our 4 month old had an upper lip and front tongue tie that was causing difficulty feeding as well as reflux. We felt comfortable the entire time we were in office. Dr Baxter prayed with us before taking our child back and he was still calm and happy when they brought him back. I felt he was honest about which ties my child needed released and took his time explaining why to me. He was patient with answering my questions and the procedure was so quick! His assistants were also kind, patient, and easy to talk to. I felt that they prepared us to care for our baby afterwards, and Dr. Baxter took the time to follow up with us via phone call to check in later that day. It’s the small things!! We came in from out of town to see Dr. Baxter and are so happy we did!

Fantastic experience: After reading Dr. Baxter's book and hearing a friend's personal experience at his practice, we traveled 3 hours to have our three children seen by him. He took more time to hear our concerns and discuss the issues than we are normally used to when visiting doctors/dentists. He was very thorough in his exam and procedure. Each of our children had slightly different needs and he addressed them with compassion and efficiency. His staff was very helpful and kind. There were many personal touches that made my children feel at ease. We were very happy with our experience and would recommend them anytime!

Fantastic experience: Could not ask for a better doctor than Dr Baxter to take care of my newborn. He was very patient, answered all our questions, and ensured we understood everything. I also really appreciate them being so breastfeeding friendly (comfy recliners and nursing pillows in the rooms) and ensure baby nurses before you go home. Dr Baxter also took the time to say a prayer before taking my daughter for the procedure.

Fantastic experience: If I could give Dr. Baxter and his team 10 stars I would. They were amazing with my 2 week old son, they also checked my 2 1/2 year old for ties. I loved that he prayed with us before the procedure. They also weigh them at the end to tell you exactly how much genexa (healthier Tylenol) to give them if you choose too. They were well worth the 2 hour drive.

Fantastic experience: The clinic was very nice/clean and definitely set up to be kid friendly! I brought my daughter in for a tongue tie consult. Dr. Baxter determined that she had two different ties. I felt I was well educated after listening to his video and talking with him and when they took my daughter back, she was only gone for a couple of minutes so it was very quick! Dr. Baxter also prayed over my daughter before the procedure, offered her some acetaminophen for pain control before leaving and personally called me later that afternoon to check on us and make sure we didn’t have any questions. Would definitely recommend and if I have anymore kids with this situation I will be going back!

Fantastic experience: I feel thankful/blessed to live within driving distance of this practice. They are pioneering the much needed change at how tongue and lip ties are diagnosed, addressed & treated. I wouldn’t be able to continue breastfeeding without the work that they do!!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Dr.Baxter. He explained everything to us before hand as to why my son needed his tongue tie revised again (revised by pediatrician at birth). He prayed with us before the procedure and called and checked on my son later in the day. We definitely will be bringing out next son to Dr.Baxter if we suspect a tongue or lip tie in October.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at the Alabama Tongue Tie Center. Dr. Baxter was able to fix our son’s lip-tie super quick and also found a tongue tie we didn’t even know he had. He and his staff are so knowledgeable and calm, even with a toddler who didn’t love the process. They made it as quick and painless as possible and our boy is already sleeping better! Fantastic experience: We travelled from Columbus Ga for a consultation for our 3 month old. We have been struggling with latching, reflux, and slower weight gain. Fantastic experience: I had my newborn’s tongue, lip, and buccal ties released here after weeks of feeding issues. I called the office on Thursday, and we were in the office having the procedure done by Friday morning! Not to mention, Dr. Baxter prayed over our little boy before the procedure and called us himself that evening to check on him. I could not recommend Dr. Baxter and his team enough!

Fantastic experience: 3rd and 4th baby had their ties released around 2-3 weeks of age. My 3rd baby we did not see any improvement after release as far as breastfeeding was concerned. We hoped, but knew it could be a possibility there were more things to address. We kept pushing though and had her see the chiropractor and a CST therapist. It was only at the end of month 2 that her breastfeeding improved drastically. The release helped her body not be so tight and allowed the CFT therapist to work out the tension. My 4th baby had her ties released last week and the following day we saw immediate improvement in breastfeeding. She would only get .5 oz in 25 minutes and now can get 2oz in 25 minutes. All babies are different and have different areas that may need to be addressed. This time around we did suck training before her release and are doing it after her release along with the stretches. I had my tie released a few years ago and that was game changer for me. The neck and shoulder tension I would get every day of my life was all due to my tie and I only get it occasionally now when I’m really stressed out. Thank you Dr. Baxter and team. Everyone is so friendly and caring.

Fantastic experience: My 8 week old came in for a lip tie, and we also discovered a tongue tie that wasn’t previously caught. Dr. Baxter was AMAZING, comforted us and prayed over baby before the procedure. The doctor and staff were very thorough and explained the procedure, expected results, and exercises thoroughly. I would recommend this office to anyone with an infant that is showing issues that could be related to an oral tie.

Fantastic experience: Walked in toy kids appointment with nerves and questions. Dr Baxter and staff without hesitation reassured me and answered all then with explanation. Before taking my babies to back for procedure he prayed with and over them which meant SO much. My 9 month old was gone from me and back within less 5 minutes and had lip & tongue tie released. My 2.5 year old was done within less 15 mins and had small filling and tongue released. I would highly recommend him to anyone they were PHENOMENAL! He was worth the 3 hour one way trip for us.

Fantastic experience: We came to Dr.Baxter’s office because we were having to regulate my daughter’s nervous system daily. She is 3 but her tantrums were long. She would yawn all through out the day. Very hard to get down for sleep. Bags under her eyes and many other symptoms. Not all of her symptoms disappeared because we are only at week 1 of the healing process. We have noticed a huge difference in her nervous system. She has tantrums but we are able to guide her through them. I asked Dr. Baxter to check my entire family and we ended up getting my sons tongue tie released too. We plan on doing my husband and myself next! So glad we went. Amazing communication. Which is hard to find in a doctor. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: So I just had my 3rd child last month. My first son was born with a tongue tie and we didn’t get it revised. He latched well and we didn’t like the idea of cutting him. Our daughter didn’t have a tongue tie but our second son did. With him being a new born he was clicking and losing his latch, causing him to swallow air and spit up a ton! His tie was also to the tip of his tongue and he also had a lip tie. We gave birth in NC but came to AL after he was born for my husband’s job. I looked up tongue tie places and Alabama tongue tie came up and between the CO2 laser, friendly staff and glowing reviews, I made an appointment for both my boys to be seen. My oldest is autistic so we were worried about how it would go for him. Dr. Baxter was amazing! He explained everything, made our older son feel safe and had my husband and I feel like we definitely made the best choice for him. We decided to do the procedure for both boys same day. Dr. Baxter asked if he could pray with us before the procedure and that made me so happy to know God is working through this practice to watch over our kids! It was quick as promised. The boys seemed to be not in pain which made me feel better! The playground is super great and a wonderful addition! I plan to get my tie released before we leave the area. We are a week out from the procedure. The boys are doing great with the tongue massages for after care and have a great range of motion. I recommend if you have a child with a tie, get it released with a CO2 laser and if you can, get it done by Dr. Baxter!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baxter has been a blessing to our family! We were referred to him by our Chiropractor for tongue tie and lip tie release on our 4 month old. We travelled from Huntsville and were able to have the consult and procedure done the same day. His staff is so friendly and welcoming. Fantastic experience: We had our 5 year old’s tongue tie and 2 month old’s tongue and lip ties revised and could not have had a better experience! Dr. Baxter was so patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to us and listen to our 5y talk about a million things. I was even able to do a weighted feed with baby after the procedure to see how the lip functioned while nursing after the tie was cut. Two things that really amazed me were (1) Dr. Baxter prayed with us before the procedures and (2) he called us later that night to check on the kids! I did not expect it to be the doctor himself calling to check on how they were doing. I was honestly floored when I heard his voice on the other end of the phone. He truly cares about each kid that comes through his office! We will always recommend the center to anyone who asks where to go for oral tie evaluation/revision. We will also be coming back with any children we have in the future too.
