Fantastic experience: Got quite a bit amount of work done here(6 fillings and a cleaning so far, two wisdom teeth extraction soon) and I really enjoyed my experience here. Front desk is very kind and helpful especially Jasmine. The doctor and dental assistant overseeing my procedure were professional and very nice as well. Even got a really great discount on my upcoming extractions so I'll definitely frequent here for the foreseeable future. Definitely a wonderful place to get some teeth work done.

Negative experience: This place is a nightmare. The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. They took advantage of my elderly mother, who trusted them. First, they told her dentures would only cost $500, then after she paid, they tried to charge her over $1,600 more. When she couldn’t pay, they took the dentures back and refused to give them to her. Now they are even trying to sue her for something she never received. It’s shocking how unprofessional and heartless this office is. They prey on vulnerable patients instead of helping them. Stay far away from Austell Dental Excellence.

Fantastic experience: I love this place The staff is amazing. I received something last week and had a concern so I called, and Kimberly answered. She was super patient, kind, and very helpful in explaining exactly what the issue was such a kind woman. The assistant Betty who took care of me was also very nice and made me feel safe. Even my wife who wasn’t getting anything done can say the same.

I think the lady who cleaned my teeth name was Stephanie and she did an AMAZING job! I will definitely refer everyone I know to this place! Positive experience: be warned there is a FOUR BUSINESS day requirement for cancellations, absolutely ridiculous to be charged 4 days in advance for a cancelled 30 minute appointment.

Negative experience: I spoke for an appointment, as a new patient, a girl hung up on me when I asked a person to speak Spanish, she spoke Spanish only that I didn't want to I asked her about my insurance and she said we don't accept her and she hung up on me..

Negative experience: Great they open at 7am, evenings and on Saturdays. A whole lot of time to scam people. They are welcoming in the beginning and trap you into giving them a 5 star review by giving you a whitening kit. They schedule appointments for you and text you when you didn’t even schedule an appointment. My daughter got a tooth bonded and it lasted 2 months. We had to go to another dentist to fix it. I have a bonded tooth since I was 16 and hers cracked in 2 months FOH. They charged me for a service I cancelled and it took almost 4 months to get my refund. Front desk has no de-escalation skills whatsoever. Called to get my xrays from last year emailed to the new dentist and they still haven’t been emailed. Dental excellence what a joke!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at my recent dentist appointment! The office was clean, organized, and welcoming. Everything was explained clearly, and I really appreciated the gentle approach during the procedure. I also want to give a special shoutout to ( hopper &Jasmine) who assisted during my appointment. She was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free.

Negative experience: They will charge you multiple times and say it's insurance but show no proof of that. They dont have any way to contact them except calls. The office manager is very rude and disrespectful as if it's her actual personal money that you owe. Even after I have asked multiple times to cancel my appointments they are still scheduling them and then will charge $60 for not showing up.

Negative experience: I went to Dr. Hopper’s office for FastBraces to address some minor issues with my smile, expecting a reliable treatment based on my previous experience with braces( not at this of of course ). While there were some improvements, the results fell short of my expectations. After all, this was my second time getting braces, and my request wasn't unreasonable. The service at the time was mediocre—nothing exceptional—and I learned that “fast” doesn’t always equal “good.” What frustrates me the most is the dishonest practice surrounding their review system. I was offered free retainers in exchange for a five-star Google review. In an attempt to benefit from the offer, I left a positive review that wasn’t entirely truthful. A couple of years, when I reached out to the office to claim the promised retainers, I was told I needed to visit the office—and pay for it—only to find out that my file only indicated a free whitening kit. After being on hold for nearly 30 minutes, they outright refused to honor their initial promise. It’s become evident to me that many of the five-star reviews are not genuine. Patients are incentivized to leave these reviews for benefits like whitening kits or other perks, which is incredibly misleading. If you’re considering orthodontic treatment at this office, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. It felt more like a sales pitch than genuine patient care, and I regret my choice to go here. Save your time, money, and trust—this is not the right place for your orthodontic needs.

Fantastic experience: Shakira was so professional when delivering the treatment plan and options. She let me know that it would be multiple sessions upfront and that I had some time before I had to address it. She was very knowledgeable and said I may not even have to remove my wisdom teeth and at my cleaning, I could monitor to see if I should get them extracted. I definitely feel at ease having my teeth health under their warranty.

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled for August 22nd but due to a family emergency, I will be going out of town. I gave a 72-hour notice to reschedule, yet they still charged a broken appointment fee. When I asked to speak with a manager, the receptionist transferred me to another receptionist who simply told me the manager and doctor wouldn’t be in until 11 am. Instead of addressing my concern, they proceeded to try to sell me on a promotion. This is my second set of braces, and I have never had this kind of experience before. The reception stated they are under new management. The new Management does not seem to value their patients or show any understanding when emergencies arise. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: I'm writing this review at 4:21 a.m because I'm awake with tooth pain that has been constant and worse than before I got work done here. I got a cavity filled in july 2025 came back later that month with concern of a possible over-fill later that month and was told the pain is normal and should consider a root canal without them even trying to go back in and see if the over-fill was the issue. They just filed it down and prescribed some pills and toothpaste which have made no difference. It felt like I went to a drive thru dentist. I dont feel comfortable ever going back here even though im dealing with non stop pain now, the pushyness of the root canal was off putting. I have has terrible luck with local dentist and this is just another case, everyone knows the struggle of trying to trust a dentist and unfortunately I think I didn't research enough again. I want to share my experience with others as I know paying out of pocket is not easy for some of us, please reconsider going here, oh and DONT sign up for their 'discount' program. I'm now stuck with pain and having to still pay them monthly for that program

Infection kills…Thank GOD I’m not… I’ll NEVER go back and I will advice whoever reading this do NOT go to this dentist…

I was running a little bit behind, I take uber but they ended up finally being able to see me very professional and I should be back in the future I’ll be doing the Google review once a month or once per visit Ty

Negative experience: Beware of this company. My daughter had poor service with Austell Dental Excellence on her first visit getting braces put on. Her wire came off, multiple brackets also came off along with a few rubber bands. We paid the initial deposit as well. I tried to work with them on fixing the issue and that did not work. This company has been garnishing our check plus court fees because they did an awful service and did not fix the issue when I asked them. ‼️‼️BEWARE AND DON’T END UP LIKE US LOSING OVER $5,000 for a service we did not recieve. They have there big corporate lawyers who help them get free money from innocent people who work hard for there money. These funds could have gone to her current orthodontist. Run Far far away and don’t let them trick you with there free teeth cleaning service for a 5 star ⭐️ review.

Positive experience: EDIT: I haven’t been here for over two years and told them previously that I was seeing a new dentist. I just got an email that they “auto scheduled” an appointment for me three days from now and if I missed it or didn’t cancel it they would charge $60. The service I got here was ok, I just stopped going because it would take forever to be seen sometimes. I never knew if I would be waiting 10 minutes or an hour. But having an appointment scheduled FOR me with a penalty if I don’t keep it feels really shady. Original review: Everyone I encountered was very friendly and I received good service. Do note that they offer free whitening kits for 5 star reviews.

Negative experience: Front desk bad customer service. Doctor can last min cancel with no warning. In your case they need you to reschedule 4 days in advance if you don’t they charge 60 for rescheduling and they charge my insurance 60 for no reason.

Fantastic experience: These one star reviews are insane. There's absolutely NO reason to give them one star. They have working hours to accommodate various schedules, most practices do not do that. They have the latest equipment which allows the dentist to see things that others may miss. Who said they don't speak Spanish when have of the staff speaks Spanish? Dr. Hopper may not have a bubbly personality but he's friendly enough for the job at hand and appears to be working with the staff on process improvements. It appears half of Cobb County complains about everything and they have a lot of work to do to please the masses. My smile means too much to me to care about petty issues. From the front of the house to the back, this is a good practice.

Negative experience: Where do I begin? The young African American woman who works as a front desk receptionist is incredibly rude, lacks professionalism, and it’s baffling how she’s still employed. I went in for a routine dental cleaning. Dr. Nkweti examined my X-rays and stated that a crown had been done poorly. Funny enough, he was the one who did the crown—however, the office has no records of it. The dental hygienist proceeded to ask me if my receipt showed the tooth number to prove they did it. What an odd question to ask, being that I am the patient and not a medical student. I have the receipt showing I paid for the filling—the same filling they told me I needed due to my fast braces, and how having a cavity could impact my journey to correct my teeth. They scrambled to find a paper trail. It was uncomfortable, and I refused to follow through with the cleaning. I contacted the office on Tuesday, May 27th to cancel my fast braces appointment and to speak to the office manager about what occurred. I’m sure it was the same African American lady—she’s so incredibly rude and inefficient. She asked me multiple questions and then placed me on hold for 7 minutes. She stated that the office manager had three days to get back to me and that they were currently in a meeting. Well, the appointment never got cancelled, because I received a call this morning about my ortho appointment. It’s such a shame. I’m $800 in the hole and bonded in a contract with this awful practice until my ortho treatment is completed. If it were possible to request a refund and get the braces debonded, I would sprint away from them without hesitation. I’ve had two brackets come loose since getting my “fast braces” in January. They accused me of eating something crunchy or hard—but after looking at more reviews, I see others have experienced the same. Once I clear my head of this brutal experience—as I don’t trust anyone will contact me—I’ll be finishing up my ortho journey. I will continue to file complaints about how awful and money-hungry this practice is.

Fantastic experience: My visit was AMAZING. Jesse and the rest of the staff were great and very helpful through the entire visit. The visit was quick and the staff made sure I was aware of everything that was happening during my visit. I’m coming back to get FastBraces and I’m super excited to start my journey with them. Negative experience: When I originally came here, the women at the front desk were so rude! I mean it was crazy. Leaving out she girl at the front counter asked me to sign a paper. I told her I don’t feel comfortable signing it and I won’t do it. She replied “just sign it!’ I left. It was for their insurance plan. I still came back later to have some teeth extracted. The assistant rubbed my gums but it didn’t numb it. So when the dentist came and started injecting needles in my mouth. I felt EVERY stab, I laid there wincing in pain! Nobody asked me if I was ok or tried to add more numbing on it. I almost got up and left but I had already paid. After he was done, he just walked away. No goodbye, no aftercare instructions, didn’t tell me what kind of medication I would be getting. I didn’t know he was done till the assistant told me. I had to asked chatGPT for aftercare suggestions. I paid $1060 to have 3 teeth extracted. I paid from pocket. Leaving out they gave me a bill to have some fill-in done. News to me! I didn’t know I was being checked for that. It’s a pain having to keep switching dentist but this isn’t a place I felt safe or cared for. Dental work is too expensive and I won’t be treated like a second class citizen when I pay everything from pocket. I was willing to give a second chance still! A month went by after giving my insurance and nothing. I had to call in and she answered the phone like she just woke up. The attitude on these people are unreal. I get my last cleaning and I will never return! Find somewhere else cause I will be

Negative experience: FastBraces Chaos- Began treatment into FastBraces June of 2024. I was originally informed my treatment would last 12-18 months. Mind you this is my second time with braces (previous treatment done elsewhere) I had some minor adjustments to be made to perfect my smile- I decided to treat at this facility due to location near my houses. The experience here has been an absolute nightmare. FastBraces is advertised as a treatment where the larger the payment the faster the treatment. I decided to make larger payments to advance treatment in a shorter timeframe per Dr Hooper we anticipate February 2025 to complete treatment. From the start I had a few brackets that came off not even a week into treatment and was told due to lack of availability they would have to fix the brackets on my next visit 3 weeks out... Even as a patient there is no sense of urgency at this practice. Due to the clinics lack of availability and brackets being off center treatment has been extended. Now we are in May 2025- Adjustments were made to the brackets the same day I was charged a hefty fee for ‘extending treatment’ as if bracket placement was something I as a patient am at fault for. This practice prioritizes policies revolved around $$ but have no accountability when they are at fault. This is truly upsetting especially as a self-pay patient with no insurance. Lack of transparency at this clinic is truly unacceptable. As a patient you really have to advocate for yourself as Dr Hopper and clinic manager are very degrading. I have tried being understanding to the situation I am now still actively in treatment 3 months (and counting) after FastBraces have been payed off and seems like the initial 12-18 month quote to complete treatment seems more accurate. My issue is the quality of service and lack of accountability on behalf of the clinic. There are numerous other concerns I have encountered throughout but ultimately falls under lack of accountability and transparency. Cannot wait for the day treatment is truly complete to get away from this poor excuse of a practice. - I will update my review once treatment is completed to captivate my full experience.

Fantastic experience: Loved my service! Everyone there that assisted me (Yami, Janee, and the doctor) were lovely people. Service was fast. I was in an out for a standard cleaning within an hour. Fortunately, they accept my insurance Delta Dental and i had little to no out of pockets costs. I got a standard cleaning for free.. and then i needed a deep cleaning and 2 cavities filled and that was $117 after insurance. I definitely will be referring people to this place. Very nice and very clean office.

My free cleaning felt off didn’t go back or make a next appointment and now I somehow owe 500 dollars? These people even sound like the scam likely callers when they call to inform you your account is about to be sent into collections

Negative experience: INSURANCE SCAM Be weary of this place. They are nice at first and are open later and on Saturdays which is what drew me in. But no these people are scam artists and they sit around in the office creating emails for these reviews as well. They will act as if there is an issue with your insurance and attempt to charge you directly regardless. I went in for my first appointment, a free appointment mind you, and they were already seeming a bit off. Very nice and initially said when I got there that they tried to call me to reschedule my appointment because the doctor would not be in, ok I rescheduled and come back and it starts. They say they tried my insurance and that’s why my appointment was canceled. I give them my insurance which is Blue Cross blue shield/Humana.. never has any issues. But it’s the first appointment and it’s free and I make sure to verbally confirm this with both the dental assistant and the young man at the front desk ( who after my cleaning I overheard talking to another girl behind the desk about creating account for MY review). So my cleaning goes well enough but at this point I come to the comments here and see people talking about in so many words, how they are scam artists and don’t apply your insurance and send your account directly to collections. Needless to say I don’t go back and did not schedule a next appointment. It’s probably been about 2 months and today I get a voicemail them saying I owe almost 600 dollars due 90 days from the appointment date or my account will be sent to collections. This place needs to be shut down and these people arrested. DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: WHEN I FIRST WENT TO THIS DENISTRY I HAD A PLEASENT experience. Comfortable waiting room. Very up to date equipment. Convient hours. March of 2025 my appointment was to fix a filling, and the pain I experience was so INTENSE!! I never felt pain like that just to numb the area. Once he finished with that long needle, fixing the filling was not a problem. But I should not had to go to feeling like he was directly stabbing the nerve in my mouth. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Negative experience: Be weary of these people they will have you sign into a payment agreement that will impact your credit and will not thoroughly explain to you what you are signing. Even if you do not get the procedure done you will still owe! There is no guarantee refund once you sign your name you owe them. I’ve also gotten fillings from them and my teeth still felt sensitive.. hence to why I wanted to reschedule I wanted to get a second opinion. They still withdrew money from my account even with me setting a new date… who’s to say I was going to follow through with the procedure? A customer is allowed to change their mind and should be refunded if they do so especially if they haven’t gotten any work done towards what they’re paying for. Did I mention it’s no guarantee you will get a refund the best they can do is submit a refund request lol and I rescheduled more than 3 days beforehand.. shouldn’t the payment be moved til then too since it’s scheduled to be payed on the appointment date? Nah instead they’ll jus take your money and hold you to making your appointment that You rescheduled. Extremely dissatisfied.

Negative experience: Daniel Geer Hung up in my face, unprofessional and so rude they cannot de - escalate situations and they are also taking advantage of miniorties be aware !! I tried to report to the manager that Daniel Geer hung up in my face and she deflected stating “no she did not” no accountability was taken !!!! DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: Just got hung up on by a lady who works at the front while I’m trying to reschedule she says “mhm” then hangs up this place has unprofessional females here with bad attitudes, attitudes so bad they can’t even de escalate situations nor do there job. I have missing brackets I pay monthly and they always have some excuse as to why they can’t fix my brackets. Don’t get your teeth done here.
