Fantastic experience: The staff worked very quickly and efficiently. I didn’t have to wait long to be taken back even though it was a full waiting room and my cleaner was so nice I’d highly suggest it! The first intro appointment was very thorough and detailed and they were able to immediately get me into a cleaning after.

Positive experience: Im deducting a star, not because of the staff but because of the auto confirmation system. I confirmed my appt but for some reason their automatic system canceled it. Luckily, the receptionist- a very kind woman, was able to squeeze me in. I can imagine someone giving them a hard time when that happens. This needs to be fixed as it puts the receptionists at risk of confrontational patients. Now, that being said, she was able to get me squeezed in a I didnt have to wait very long. Give or take 20 minutes- if that. The nurse, Britney, was very sweet and talked to me the entire time. I felt less like a squeezed in patient and more like a guest. She explained what she was doing and why, and checked with me often to make sure I was doing well. She was also very funny and I noticed she went out of her way to help coworkers multiple times. She seems like a true team player. I really liked her. The dental hygienist, unfortunately I cant remember her name, but she was so gentle and kind when she was checking my teeth over. She explained what every number meant, and how we could fix it. She was very informative and nice. The dentist was also super nice, he explained in great detail what was going on and came up with a game plan to get my teeth taken care of before the arrival of my baby. He explained the causes of my dental issues, how to avoid them etc. All in all, it was a very positive experience, I will be continuing my dental care with this team. I highly recommend, just do be mindful of the automatic confirmation system.

Negative experience: Where to begin , my wife came in to her appointment that was scheduled weeks ago to a surprise with staff not being ready for her arrival with the proper paperwork to requesting documents that were not necessary , to prior to getting there they have called me 3 times to ask for information that I already gave prior , complete disorganized office . After all that now mind you it’s her first time the office manager was called in and instead of some help she makes it seem like she is the problem and after going back and forth strongly suggesting to seek another office and that they might not be the right fit for this office ! Uh what ? This is the most unprofessional office we ever visited and I would highly recommend to stay away from.

Fantastic experience: Staff is great. I would recommend this dental office. I had an emergency tooth issue and I was able to get in and see doctor in an acceptable 24 hrs after contacting them. I definitely felt safe and felt the staff was caring and empathetic to my needs. I am a nervous patient when it comes to going to dentist. This place was great and they had my favorite movie Toy Story on in Lobby, they seem to be good with kids too.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Peninsula Dental has been exceptional! The doctor who numbed me was fantastic. I am sorry I don’t remember his name. The hygienist Martha is phenomenal. Not only have I requested her again, but I am going to have my husband start going to this practice as well. They are kind, professional, friendly, easy to talk to, and best of all, they do a fantastic job. No pain!! They explain everything very well so that you know what to expect, and they make you feel at ease. They have in-network insurance that they work with which helps with some of the costs, itemized receipts, friendly and helpful front desk staff, and I am just over the top happy with this dental practice. I highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you Peninsula Dental!

Fantastic experience: After a failed root canal and an awful crown (at another dentist), I had a complex procedure done earlier today. Dr. Cottone and his assistant were amazing! He is very precise and has great attention to detail - which is super important when it comes to my teeth. They were also very reassuring (I tend to have anxiety during oral procedures) and ensured I was comfortable and had breaks when needed. My temporary bridge looks amazing and I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks to see how the permanent one looks. 10/10 recommend!

Negative experience: I very happy to find a practice close to our home. I was told to have my records/X-rays forwarded to Pennisula Dental prior to my appointment. My X-rays which included full mouth panoramic and bite wings were sent. Upon arrival I was told they needed to do another panoramic and more bite wings. I asked why since I just had them done 5 months prior at another practice and I knew my insurance would not cover additional panoramic X-rays. The tech checked with my insurance and the dentist to ask if I still needed it. Of course my insurance said they would not cover it since I had it done recently. The dentist said they would not treat me unless I had another panoramic done. When I asked why they couldn’t use the panoramic that was done, I was told it wasn’t the same. So, in order to be a new patient I would have to pay out of pocket for a panoramic. So disappointed because I thought I found the right Dental Practice.

Negative experience: Previous visits to this pracice were good with regard to the staff being friendly and professional. My six month dental visit today was not at all what I expected. Yesterday I received a treatment plan for todays visit. The total was a little more then $600 and it included two different types of xrays. I researched dental xays on line and learned that the recommended time frame for those services is every 2-3 years. When I checked in for my appointment I spoke with the woman at the desk explaining that I could not afford $600 today and therefore would not be able to have the xays until my next visit. When I was called back to a treatment room a hygienist spoke with me and said I could not have the evaluation and cleaning if I did not allow them to take xrays. The dentist came in a little while later and said the same thing to me. The conversation went on for about fifteen minutes and was very uncomfortable. I asked to speak with someone in charge and was told that the office managers were not there today because they were at a seminar. I went out to the waiting room and asked for my records to take with me. I filled out a form and was told they would email them to me. I left there upset diappointed, embarrassed, and very confused that the staff acted with such little kindness, sensitivity or professionalism. Needless to say I will not be returning to Peninsula Dental in the future (Millsboro) and can not recommend this practice in good conscience to anyone.

Fantastic experience: 12 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr. Cottone, Dr. Judy, and nurse Brittany are the bomb.com. Love this place, and I don’t like going to the dentist at all! My ONE and ONLY complaint is that Gerson is leaving. He works the front, and he’s cooler than ice cubes in an Eskimo’s glass. So that’s sad. But the staff here is the best I’ve found since moving down here to Delaware. Hands down. Anyone who left a bad review must’ve had to wait an extra 10 minutes to be seen, or they waited until the last minute to reschedule and God forbid they were told that they would be charged (as is the rule). Really wish there wasn’t a five star limit on reviews.

Negative experience: At the time i made the appointment i requested a cleaning. After checking in and waiting half an hour they said they had no time to do my cleaning . Just xray and a consult with the doctor. I had to return a few weeks later for the cleaning. I left

Negative experience: This is a scam!!! They "found" $10,000 of dental work I needed. Said insurance would pay most. I called my insurance and they said it would be denied, they made a note that Peninsula Dental is a scam

Fantastic experience: Today was my 2nd time of going to this practice and the first time I saw Dr Cottone ...he was amazing...a big plus (for me) was that he was very polite and not just to me...he also spoke respectfully and politely to my hygienist, Victoria....which goes miles in my book

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Delaware and had my first dental appointment a few days ago. I have to say, this was the most thorough dental exam ever. First off I barely waited 10 minutes before being taken back by Sharon. She did my X-rays and checked each one of my teeth for any concerns. Sharon always explained what she was doing. Once she finished her exam, Dr Cottone came in and he also examined each one of my teeth and discussed the treatment plan in detail. I never felt rushed and all questions were answered. They were both fantastic! If you are looking for a practice that cares, this is it!

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Cottone. I highly recommend him. He took his time and was concerned about my comfort . Before and after the procedure, he took time to explain my options and to instruct me on after care. Dr. Cottone also followed up with a phone call to check on how I was doing that evening.
