Fantastic experience: Dr. Paul Effinger DMD and his Beautiful Wife Jackie and the rest of the Dental Team at Kissing Camels are the Best on Planet Earth bar NONE. Don't trust your Dental needs to anyone else in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These guys are Heaven Sent. They all have Angel Wings but seem to hide them very well. Paul which I call "Doc Holiday" can pull teeth without any pain by commanding them leave your mouth. These Guys are Quick, Efficient, HI Tech, and the Friendliest People on the planet. Fantastic experience: I hate dentists, but given that, this office has been fine. The hygienist, dentist, and other staff are good. They are competent, listen to patients, and I will continue to use them. Update a year later: still going back, so….. Update a year and a half later: I went again this morning. So far, so good. I still get nervous beforehand, but that’s just me.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend going to Kissing Camels for your dental needs! Everyone from the front desk staff to the back office staff and the dentist you meet, make you feel safe and at home! They listen to your cares and worries, and help you figure out what plan of care is best for you. I give 10/10 stars. I wouldn’t go anywhere’s else in Colorado Springs. The staff treats you with the up most respect. I’m a nervous Nelly when it comes to the dentist and they made sure it was such a calming atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely impressed with the first patient experience. I have 3 aunts that are dental assistants back in Texas, and it’s been hard to find anyone that I feel comfortable with since then. All the staff that I spoke with were very nice, and very patient. And I left feeling confident that they actually do care about their craft, and my teeth.

On my first visit to get my teeth cleaned, the receptionist gave me a tour and a gift bag, Lisa the hygienist was friendly, experienced and gentle. Dr. K listened intently, was thorough, and answered every question I asked. If the rest of my visits are this pleasant, they deserve a five star rating!

Fantastic experience: I have lived in the Springs for over two years and have been searching for a practice that does not attempt to upsell at each visit like a car shop. Every single staff member I interacted with was welcoming and professional. Their pre-visit forms contained a lot of information about anxiety with dental visits, which I don’t experience but really appreciated. The facility was spotless but did not feel “sterile”. The hygienists were gentle and informed me about every step they were taking. The dentist himself came in and seemed genuine in his desire to make sure I had no questions. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and compassionate practice!

Positive experience: The doctor and the staff are absolutely magnificent. They are the most kind staff I have met. They made my visit comfortable and they are very informative. Of course dental is highly expensive so I couldn't have the procedures done that I needed. This was not the fault of any of the staff, it's just to expensive for a senior on Social security. Fantastic experience: This is a really nice dentistry. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel comfortable as a new patient. They gave me a tour of the office, explained their services, and offered me a beverage! I came in after chipping my front tooth, and the dentist shaved it down well to the point where you are unable to tell that there was a divot. It was awesome that I called on a Thursday afternoon, and they were able to get me in for an appointment on Friday at 10am. The appointment was quick, and I didn’t have to wait! The receptionist was also very helpful in confirming that the dentistry accepts my insurance. When I scheduled my next appointment, it was great to hear that the office is open late on Wednesdays to accommodate people who don’t want to miss work.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to Woodland Park and needed a dentist. Found this place and had great experiences twice. Super-friendly hygienists, front desk staff, and dentist. They were very accommodating when I needed to get in quickly. Called me when they had a cancellation, and it was very smooth. They also covered an additional charge for X-rays during a routine cleaning that the insurance wouldn't cover. They did what I felt was the right thing to do. Integrity goes a long way, and this office has that.

Positive experience: Kissing Camels Dentist was chosen by me bc my husband had a good experience. Very clean facility and professional. However, I was disappointed to not receive the service I ask for. I got X-rays, pictures of my teeth, and two minutes with the dentist who tried to get me do a procedure that wasn’t indicated . I know how to read an X-ray . I might suggest knowing your customers before selling a service they don’t need just because they have insurance. I felt it was a waste of time I went for a cleaning instead it took 60 -75 minutes to examine me and then re- schedule me for a deep cleaning. I’ve been in private practice for over 17 years I recommend giving the customer the service they expected when they made the initial appointment. An initial exam and a cleaning with the hygienist. Overall unsure if I will keep this place as my dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I was in town visiting family when I chipped a tooth. I came across Kissing Camels that night and set an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived they actually got me in a half hour early. They worked with my insurance and got me in and out with a fixed tooth in 45 minutes. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Fantastic experience: I started bringing my daughter to the dentist office after she had a couple bad experiences at two different local dentist offices. This office is AWESOME. My daughter was scheduled with Dr. Rowan Kubeluis and Nancy (dental assistant) and the two of them have been amazing to say the least. They built trust with my daughter over the last few months and my daughter is now comfortable with going back to the exam room by herself (she’s 17) and her fear is pretty much gone. I’ve been so happy with the doctor and the staff that my husband and I are now new patients of Dr Kubeluis’. This office has top notch service and they even sent flowers to my home this past Friday, thanking me for choosing them for my dental needs. I’ve NEVER received flowers from any medical, dental, or vision place before. What a HUGE surprise it was and I have a new favorite coffee cup that the flowers came in! It’s like they knew how to speak to my heart! Thank you Kissing Camel’s Dentistry for being so kind and attentive to my family!

Fantastic experience: Taresha Tope was my hygienist and was excellent. She was so personable, efficient and knowledgeable. Taresha was very gentle and very patient with me. She took the time to answer all my questions and concerns, and she explained procedures.

Negative experience: Billed several times for Periodontal maintenance when I requested to stop the treatment. Was advised that they had to continue by their office manager, however, they failed to let me know they were still billing me even when they have it documented I requested to stop. I did verify with my insurance that they do not have to continue treatment. Very disappointed that they take advantage of my insurance!!

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal and kind care! For context, I have permanent nerve damage from a previous, different dentist that I went to for a cavity filling in 2023. So getting numb again is a really scary and traumatic experience. I was so nervous to go back to a dentist but had heard from friends and family that this was a good place to go especially after experiencing dental trauma. I had to get another filling and was unsure what to expect after going through what I had. Maliwan was so kind and her energy really made me feel at ease from the beginning. She was very communicative, reassuring, and patient the whole time. Her and Dr. Effinger took amazing care of me, making sure that I was comfortable and letting me take as many breaks as I needed without feeling rushed or like I was an inconvenience. I can’t thank you enough for helping me get through this experience and I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone.

I had to have a cavity drilled and a tooth extracted and never once did I feel any pain! I am blown away a day later and still have no pain in my mouth! The Dr and staff are so friendly and make you feel at ease. I am a patient for life!

Fantastic experience: I want to share my recent experience at Kissing Camel Family Dentistry. I have a lot of anxiety when going to the dentist and was so appreciative of the kindness and reassurance that was shown to me from all of the staff. They worked so hard to ease my anxiety. My two front teeth were in need of some care and Dr Effinger (with the help of his assistant) were able to repair them and make my smile brighter! He took such care when fixing each tooth and told me to call him if I had any concerns. His assistant was constantly reassuring me throughout the entire process. He has such a skill at repairing teeth and I am very thankful he is my dentist. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dentist. Thanks so much!

Negative experience: We had a bad experience with this dentist office and felt that they were being sneaky about what we actually owe after insurance. Our teenage daughter needed a procedure and the office couldn't tell us for sure what our insurance would cover. We were waiting months when I finally checked in again because my daughter was feeling uncomfortable and we needed to move forward. They still didn't have an answer for us about insurance, but said we'd need to fully pay for the procedure upfront just to book the appointment. We weren't comfortable with this, but they assured us they would be reimbursing us for what our insurance covered. So, hesitantly, we booked and did the procedure. Afterwards we contacted them to ask about what they had found out from insurance because we got something in the mail from blue cross blue shield saying we should owe about $800 less than what we paid the dentist. They pretty rudely told us that we would not be receiving anything back, and more or less told us to quit asking about it. We came to find out that they added a bunch of exorbitant fees for things like sedation pills and didn't even bother preapproving that with our insurance so they claim we owe that. I'm sure they are aware that getting the customer to pay for it will get them more than what insurance will pay. So, we feel they are pulling one over on us and used our daughter's discomfort to bully us into paying upfront and they had no intentions of giving anything back to us after insurance paid their part. We'll be looking for a more trustworthy dentist office for the five members of our family that have gone here.

First, what an amazing thing to offer to our small business community as many of us are uninsured. I cannot say enough about this practice, from the front desk to the dental chair, everyone I met was so kind, warm and helpful. I saw Dr. Rowan Kubeluis who was so wonderful, and took the time to educate me on the work I needed done and offered her professional opinion on some additional dental work I needed done as well. She did an exceptional job repairing a filling I needed to have replaced. As someone who has dental trauma and anxiety from previous dental practices I really felt so cared for here and I wasn't made to feel bad for asking for additional care. I immediately transferred my dental records here and am excited to finally have a dental office that I look forward to going to every year. Cannot recommend Kissing Camels enough!

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient to Kissing Camels Family Dentistry, and I've been really satisfied so far with the care here, and also how kind they are. I never have to wait long in the waiting room, and they are great at what they do. They make sure you are always comfortable, and are amazing at listening to your concerns. They don't do anything that's not necessary, and they are very detail oriented and ensure the best decisions are being made for care. I just had my permanent crown seated today and the bite so far is perfect without any adjustments, and I am extremely happy with the crown for how it feels and the quality of it. I am looking forward to all of my future cleanings and care here!
