Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend you take your dog here this place have a bunch of rude ignorant people working in the front they will lie to you. Have you come in just to tell you a lie after you sit there Waiting on a hygienist, I was told she cut her hand yesterday but today she calls and said she had bad migraines very unprofessional a waste of people time and money. I wouldn’t recommend nobody.

Positive experience: I call their office at 12:45 PM on October 29, 2024, and the receptionist who answered asked how could she help then turn around and hung up the phone up in my face. I just want everyone to know how rude and disrespectful she is I will be reporting this to the manager. I also left a review on their webpage and left them a message about this. All I was trying to do was check and see what time my appointment was. I’m so sick of the unprofessionalism at this place I’m not going back after I get my teeth cleaned this time. Just ghetto and unprofessional and rude. On top of that, I called back 10 times and no one answered the phone that’s crazy. It should be someone there at all times to answer the phone.

Negative experience: Been trying to get ahold of the office for 3 weeks now. I needed to reschedule my daughter's permeant crown appointment. Can't leave a message because it's full. Tried emailing tried texting no response. Each time we have been in the service it awful. No one seems to want to do their jobs and if I could put a negative star I would. This is the only place I was able to find to do the treatment who excepts my insurance. If not for that I would have walked out the first appointment.

Fantastic experience: Tori Cotton was very efficient, I needed to go to another appointment, she came in right away and took my X-rays, customer service was great!!!

Fantastic experience: Tori Cotton was very patient with accommodating my need for an adjustment on my lower denture. The denture is very comfortable, in which there should not be a need for any further adjusting.

Negative experience: Had an appointment for my son for a cleaning, appointment confirmed for a cleaning and as usual the appointment was a waste of time. The hygienist left at 12. The front desk person who scheduled the appointment entered him as a new patient we have only been going to this place for 4 years. As a new patient forms would have been filled out and insurance and id should have been checked by somebody at the front desk. Pissed off is an understatement it is always something with this place. I would rate this as a negative anything if possible a 1 star is to much to give them. I would not recommend to anyone

The doctor was really very knowledgeable and nice. Her assistant was very nice as well. I have had bad experiences in the past with others. I am glad I found this place. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Wait time is too long and please fix your parking lot you have a big gigantic hole in your parking lot and every time I come to your facility, I have to maneuver around it. I’m not gonna tear my car up because you all do not want to fix your parking lot Please fix it.

Negative experience: Today was off there waited over an hour with an appointment and everyone else was being called back lady was there before me and we both left as she went to the booth to reschedule the ladies in the back completely ignored her and proceeded to discuss their lottery pics for the day absolutely unacceptable

Fantastic experience: Listen this place isn’t perfect but they do try their best to satisfy each patient. It’s important if you have any questions or issues that you come up there and speak with respect and they usually will make sure the issues don’t keep reoccurring. They are trying to work a job just like the rest of us. With that said, Dr. Hudson is awesome. I was told months prior “May” i needed a filling by an hygienist during my cleaning. I had been delaying but schedule an appointment for Aug 11. She looked in my teeth and said my teeth was beautiful!! That i was fine and didn’t need it. She could have easily just collected and did something unnecessary but she didn’t. She will examine your teeth and be fair. She isn’t trying to collect money for nothing. The staff is Mostly women who act professional. No complaints for me.

Negative experience: They rush through their work and when they give you fill ins they don’t put enough in your tooth I paid out of pocket and use my insurance I’m pissed my teeth are back hurting and I spent to much money very sad dentist office and it haven’t even been that long I’m talking about the one on Grandriver and Shafer

Negative experience: NEVER AGAIN!!!!! They are over booking people and wasting time! Drove here from Westland and wasted my time because the service ( teeth cleaning) was not done, was told I would be here and hour its 847 and im still in the lobby. Ten 8am appointments one person here to clean teeth!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Had a 9a appt to get filings done; and, they literally sent me to a room at 940 to get my teeth cleaned; while waiting for the dentist to fill my teeth; Then they put me in a freezing room in the back for another 40minutes; only for the dentist to come in a d try to convince me that she couldn’t do one filing at a time. A complete waste of my time. On top of that; the equipment was broken; splashing an abundance of water in my face. They were not properly stocked on cleaning supply. I literally just left

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional place and wait times are deplorable! The hygienist I had scraped my gums so bad during my deep because she was too abrasive, very impatient and did not care. She also insisted on using ice cold water during my cleaning when I expressed multiple times my teeth were too sensitive for the water. Tell me you don’t like your job without telling me! Lastly, I had a few fill ins done there which were all done poorly. This caused me to undergo an intensive treatment plan with another office to repair the damage the dentist did here. During one of my appointments the dentist was so backed up with patients she literally stepped out in the middle of my fill ins and asked one her the dental assistants “You know how to finish a fill in right?!” I cannot make this up! DO NOT GO HERE!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hudson was really nice and gentle. Ameena was very nice and gentle with my teeth!!

Negative experience: The last time I went they had the wrong information in my files at the time I never had braces but they had in my paperwork they did also k got I think four fillings and every since I got them my teeth has been highly sensitive and they were rough they need to close down I even heard the staff say they understaff and at this point I want to sue for messing up my teeth. I left because my new dentist left before he started on me to work on someone else and I waited a long time as it is also as I was waiting an assistant was in the room across trying to flirt and play with a patient they truly went downhill and at this point they should just closed thankfully I found a professional new place that is way more efficient and I’m very happy now

My extractions were painless & Dr. Heller was very strategic, explained what she was doing every step of the procedure to reassure me things were going smoothly, Tia explained after care instructions well & made sure I understood everything. Checkout staff was kind & made sure I scheduled my next appointment.

Negative experience: I really don’t have the time to spend posting this review, but I must. If it would discourage even one person from having the same experience my family has had with this dental clinic, the time is well- spent. If I could rate them zero stars, I would. PLEASE DO NOT go to these people (Livernois, Detroit Location)! Under one of their multiple previous managements, my husband and I took off work to pickup our three kids from various school locations for dental appointments. We arrived on time, in a stow storm, only to learn that the dentist had left for the day! No one notified us!! We received no apology, and the attitude of the receptionist was complete indifference. This was our first experience wi the the clinic. Needless to say, we did not return — at least not for several years. Fast forward ten years or so, we notice the “under new management sign” (again). For convenience’s sake ( because they are in our neighborhood), we decide to give then another try. My husband took off from work to take our grandson. First, despite the fact that our grandson had an appointment, the wait was excessive, without explanation or apology. Then, they scheduled him for a follow-up to complete some work. We need to reschedule the appointment, but we are unable to reach them. We have phoned multiple times over the past week. NO ONE answers the phone, and we are unable to leave a voicemail! My grandson is in some discomfort, so now we need to locate and take him to another dentist!!! I’m sure that he will need to first be evaluated all over again by the new dentist —further delaying his dental work and wasting even more of our time!!! Please do not go to these people for dental care. They simply don’t care about their patients.

Negative experience: These people don’t never answer the phone. I have been trying to make an appointment to get my tooth pulled for weeks! I got a referral from the highland park location and I’m really annoyed highland park location is closed for remodeling. This location is terrible! Update: I spoke with someone on the phone, a guy. He said he was going to check about the insurance and call back. Never gotten a callback. Went up there and I was told the next appointment isn’t for a month.

Fantastic experience: Writing this review as a person who understands that dental work can take time. I had a very pleasant experience. I did have a wait in the waiting room because I didn't hear my name called but the way they took care of me and reassured me definitely adds to the stars. I didn't even feel the tooth coming out and they even gave me aftercare instructions. They made sure I had antibiotics and anti-inflammatory pain medicine. I missed my follow up appointment due to work but they have always been very good at dental care and I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: My experience was unique and beautiful. My experience started at the front desk with Shauntel and Richard, together they got dental needs together. Iwas apprehensive about the implant installation. But right at the start I was made very comfy in the chair with Dr E at my side (Dr.EasyDoes it) and Ms.Chaynenne, his professional and competent assistant prep me for an unexpected and delightful experience. I would recommend Detroit Dental Specialists for the best dental care available.

Negative experience: This is one of the worst places to get your teeth done. I schedule an appointment to get my wisdom tooth pulled, and I just found out today after waiting for two weeks and they didn’t even send any of my information to my insurance company to get preapproval to get the surgery done so now they’re talking about I have to wait another two weeks. Do not come here. The staff is completely unprofessional and all they do is sit around, talk and don’t answer the phone. This building needs to be shut down or the staff needs to be replaced. Be aware of this place, they do not care about you

Negative experience: It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE that not one staff member at this specific location can't answer the phones or clear their voicemail to assist patient inquiries. I guess they have never heard of the LAW of Patient Abandonment and Patient Avoidance, in which when LARA is called and an investigation is requested that they can lose their license(s). To have been trying to call for almost a month, no one answering the phones and voicemail is full is ridiculous. How are you providing professional Health/Dental services to the patients? I referred a friend who moved back to Michigan from Virginia and they stated it was the worse experience theyve ever encountered and he too file a complaint. It's UNPROFESSIONAL, UTTERLY RIDICULOUS and DISRESPECTFUL to all patients. The that front desk has no professionalism at all. There's maybe only Two that possess professionalism and one is Shantel and I can't recall the other short light skinned young lady's name who recently hurt her leg, but that's about IT‼️ I most definitely will continue to contact the state of Michigan and file complaints. Ill be SO GLAD when Dr. Z leaves this Dental Organization and start his own practice.

Fantastic experience: My husband has a phobia of dentists and has had several bad experiences with dentists not numbing him enough before procedures. My husband had a tooth extracted by Dr. Zaki today, and it was the best experience with a dentist he's ever had. The phone system for the office is not good and makes it hard to get through, and the waiting room can be very busy, but the quality of dental work here far exceeded our expectations and warrants 5 stars! Thank you to the office manager, Nikki, and Dr. Zaki for making sure my husband got great care. We'll be back for our cleanings next month!

Negative experience: I really had high hopes for this dentist office, but I have been sorely disappointed. When my first visit, the receptionists were arguing behind the glass. I went in for an emergency root canal. They told me that they would call me to schedule my next appointment for the crown. I waited a month before I called, and was told they still hadn't heard back from my insurance. I waited another month before I went up there, only for them to tell me that they still hadn't heard back from my insurance. I asked them if I can at least get a check up in the meantime, and they told me that they would call me to schedule the appointment. That was 8 months ago as I've been calling and never get anyone as well as the voicemail is always full. I only was still trying because there aren't many dentists that take my insurance.

Negative experience: Dr. Omar Zacki dug a metal tool inside of my cavity until the point that it was EXTREMELY painful. He has been practicing dentistry for FAR TOO long to be making these types of “mistakes.” STEER CLEAR OF HIM!!! He ABUSES his patients!!!

Fantastic experience: Great dentist office. Everybody was nice and pleasant. The dentist Dr Bushra removed 2 teeth, I felt nothing ..She was great and warming, definitely making this my main dentist office.

Positive experience: First visit was an emergency visit. Was seen right away, had X-rays done & Dr. Zaki was able to locate a problem that my regular dentist did not see. Good experience.

Negative experience: I usually don’t leave reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating. Not only was there miscommunication, but after following all the instructions they gave me, they completely forgot about me. I drove an hour to get there, only to be told conflicting things. I was asked if I spoke to AI or a person—no, I spoke to a person. So why wasn’t this information shared with me earlier? I ended up wasting so much time. Everyone in the office was upset from waiting, and I showed up right on time at 1:00 PM, but wasn’t seen until 3:40 PM. This is the worst experience I’ve had. I made it clear I was in pain and pregnant, but they didn’t offer any solutions. I also requested a cleaning, but was told I couldn’t get one because I needed a root canal—fine, but they still didn’t provide any alternatives or solutions. Meanwhile, they were smiling, like that somehow made things better. When they asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment, I said no, yet she still handed me a card. I immediately threw it away right in front of the office because I have no interest in ever coming back or wasting my time with these people. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after seeing how frustrated everyone else in the office was, I completely understand why. If I could give this place less than zero stars, I absolutely would. I regret coming here, and I won’t recommend this place to anyone unless you have hours to waste.

Negative experience: I absolutely hated this experience I had a full on anxiety attack. No one directed me to where I need to be afterwards I was in an Extreme pain the numbing had worn off. My prescription wasn’t already written out by or signed by a doctor. I wasn’t given or rescheduled another appointment when in fact, I had stitches in my mouth because, my teeth were removed from my top of my mouth for dentures. I was given amoxicillin 500 mg of acetaminophen not even Tylenol worse experience ever I was in so much pain and I’m still in pain. There’s a piece of tooth left in my mouth at the top, and it hurts so bad , not able to get in contact with no one from the front desk. No one would answer the phone. I will be getting in contact with my lawyer very soon.

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist she was great she talked me through the whole process/procedure. Dr. Hudson was very nice as well. Got me together seeing I went somewhere else & they dropped the ball. Coming to Detroit Dental Specialist was a great choice for me. I’ll be back real soon.

Negative experience: This Dentist office is a joke Not Dr Hudson but the staff I went to my follow up appointment and I was told by the front desk I needed a root canal and they will have to cancel my appointment because they don’t do root canal and to find another Dental office that does. ( I was never informed I needed one) So I went to another dentist. They said I didn’t need one at all, so I called to Detroit Dental Specialist and informed them of what the other Dr said and why I wasn’t giving a referral. They said they don’t know why I was told that by the front-desk it’s not noted in the charts of any root canal’s Then called me 3 days later and said I missed my appointment ‍♂️

Negative experience: My grandmother had an appointment at 9a.m. for a root canal. We have been sitting here for 1.5 hours and the only update we received was "the doctor is with another patient and will be with you as soon as they finish". For this, my grandmother could have been scheduled at a later time. This is ridiculous and I will encourage her to find another dental office. To call yourselves the "Detroit Dental Specialists", there is a lack of customer support.

Fantastic experience: Lovely front desk and medical staff. I called for an emergency appointment, was scheduled and seen within the hour. The dentist listened to me and made me apart of my treatment plan, he didn’t just decide how things should go. I will be transferring to this dental practice. Dr.Zaki is awesome.

Negative experience: Worse dentist office I’ve ever been too, first of all they NEVER answer the phones, staff front desk RUDE, Wait times are ridiculous. Me and another pt both had 12 o clock apts and i arrived well before the other pt and That pt was called back before me. Negative experience: Please do your research and read the reviews. It has been a while since I was a patient with Detroit Dental, but I would never recommend anybody to make an appointment with Dr. Davidson. She was misleading and she was untruthful about the services she render, and the guarantee results weren't obtainable. I was disappointed and I will never forget my experience with Detroit Dental.

Negative experience: My brother went in for emergency appointment today , and was waiting for 3 hours and wasn’t able to be seen at all. The service was terrible. He said he Felt like he being rushed at the last minute after waiting no an x-ray and no doctor.

Negative experience: This is the absolute worst Dental experience I've ever had. First, I was sent a link for 1st. time patients to complete only to be asked to complete it again upon my arrival. Second, the room that I occupied was filthy and they stated that it was due to old wax. Not once did anyone utilize the sink in the room to wash their hands nor change their gloves. Which was truly unacceptable. Lastly, the staff was fair but I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone until they clean it up.

Negative experience: I received a call from these people. Because I had to wait 5 or so months for a response about a partial. Inability to digest food! Lost 20lbs in the time frame. Love Dr Hudson very calming! However after coming in to my appointment. I was greated to an employee enjoying her Holiday meal. The manager came to me after my displeasure before.. with her Inability to address why I had not received my partial from January 2024 until July. I was automatically declined my concerns. So for me to receive a phone call about my truth! Also I overheard the staff having discussed my PANICK ATTACK WHICH I HAD PER FIRST VISIT HAVING TO BE PUT ON A BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE per first machine. Unacceptable my 90 yr old grandmother goes there.. My HiPPa rights been violated. Thank you

Positive experience: Started off crazy crowded no seats available then the wait was super long then they called me back and it was amazing from that point on so i was very comfortable and at ease so don't always judge a book bye it's cover

Negative experience: The worst dental office in metro detroit, wait times exceeds hours as well as staff come and go as they please and docs are never in office. Ive waited 2 hours to be seen and staff walked off. Ive been resceduled multiple times due to np doc in office or overbookings!

Fantastic experience: This review is for my daughter Robin Carter. She was seen and was especially pleased with the experience. They helped by removing her bad teeth and will be doing all of her dental appointments in the future. The staff are all very helpful and kind.

Negative experience: The staff were VERY unprofessional!! I came in for an exam and to schedule a tooth extraction. I was quoted one price and when I came in for my appointment was charged a different, more expensive price.

Negative experience: Pissed ! Was lied to my face about pulling my tooth just to come back to me an hour later and reschedule.. I’m still trying to figure out what did I just get other than X-rays that costs me 4 hood of my life! I absolutely hate to be lied to especially while suffering tooth pain. I got X-rays and a script!!! Not even a reschedule! Poised is an understatement. Correction 2 hours. Had my X-rays done at 2:30 so they lied and held me there for 2 hours for no reason at all I guess. Played with my time for me to walk away crying in pain still with no help!!!

Positive experience: Always been really polite and nice when there. But hard to contact over the phone to make an appointment. So I just started going directly in there in person when need to contact them or make an appointment. Other than that I'd strongly recommend them to others.
