Very disappointed I drove over 45 mins to this appointment and too off of work this is unacceptable and BAD BUSINESS! They are trying to service as many people.. money Grab I did not want sealants I wanted my daughter’s teeth fixed

Fantastic experience: We have always had the best experience with the Dr and his staff. I sometimes have to bring all three of my children in at one time and they always make sure to take care of us all. I will always recommend this pediatric dentist to any and all of my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I started bringing my 3 children into this office (11 month old, 9 year old, and 11 year old) and we received the best care! Their routine cleaning was awesome. They get them back there and get everything done and they are great about their attitudes, The atmosphere is simply amazing here. My two older kids had to have teeth extracted and other dental work and I just have to say that their team are all amazing. To making my kids feel comfortable, to doing everything so swiftly and Doctor K gets in and does what he needs to do and jokes around with the kids and then he goes on to the next. He’s fast, efficient, and overall Great! My mommy nerves when it comes to the dentist for my kids is so much better since we came here and we will continue to come here!

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. Y’all gotta do better here. The Dr sees the patient for 5 min after having us wait for a literal hour AND DIDNT EVEN CLEAN HIS TEETH DIDNT EVEN CHECK WITH INSTRUMENTS, JUST THE NAKED EYE. So that means I can be a dentist & practice now too?! The absolute worst dental care I have seen from the front desk to the Dr & everyone in between. I urge you all to find another provider & don’t waste your time here, or your insurance benefits - because they will definitely be wasting yours instead. I will never give a corporate dental office a chance again.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is on the spectrum, and it has always been incredibly challenging getting dental work, bite wing especially. My daughter has sensory overload and she is always happy to come here. The Dr K is down to earth and the staff friendly.

Fantastic experience: This dental office isn't your regular office visit. They have video game machines like in the arcades and a tunnel play room to explore. This is an awesome idea because your kid can play while we wait. Now getting them to leave is hard bc they are having so much fun.Great employees with the best customer service and the wait is never long. My kids love it here.

Negative experience: The Dentist, Dr. K is nice, but the office feels like a conveyer belt. My son had a cleaning today and needs 2 small cavities filled- the earliest they can do that is THREE months from now! That is insane to me and incredibly ridiculous. Three months from now, those cavities could be so much worse. My oldest had a front adult tooth that broke and we had to go back twice because the filling was done so poorly, and I still don't think it looks right- it's shorter than his other tooth beside it. I get that you have other patients, but they need to hire another dentist that doesn't seem to be in such a rush to do work correctly the first time. I appreciate them working his emergency in, but I expect it to be done properly and not sloppy.

Negative experience: I scheduled my appointment 6 months ago, but was at the office over 1.5 hrs for my son's cleaning. They over-booked and Did Not Honor my appointment time! I felt like I was disrespected.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I visited and left upset, they didn't get to do my daughter.. she was terrified... Never been that way before... They drilled with no numbness, then she was complaining about hurting... They never gave her anything, so they could finish to come her down... So they dismissed us with a little drilled hole... not finished... to return June 4th, 2025... I was very disappointed... They could have did a better routine with a 6yr old...who has been attending for yrs, never had a problem with being that terrified... And I never had to go back with her since she been attending... Fantastic experience: My daughter had a tooth pulled, I was very hesitant because she has never had any sort of tooth work done other than a cleaning. Dr. K was very thorough, he was very informative & answered any questions I had. Everything went very smoothly, even when my daughter was having a hard time everyone was patient with her & let her take her time. I would highly recommend Dr. K & his staff to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Sandy Springs location does an amazing job with my kiddos. My daughter came with tooth pain the doctor exam her and noted she had two of her teeth was coming out but was having trouble with one falling out of their own. The doctor did an amazing job on get the tooth. My daughter was nervous at first, but she was able to calm her. The staff and doctors here are very kind and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Dr. K is simply the best pediatric dentist ever! We have been with this particular practice through all of my child’s tooth issues and could not be happier with how we have been treated and how Dr. K and is amazing staff have helped us get through every hurdle we have faced with my oldest daughter’s mouth. She now has beautiful teeth and we trust them to help us keep her teeth as they are! We drive over an hour to have Dr. K be our children’s dentist and do not plan to swap if we can help it!

Negative experience: Had an appointment for 10:30 drive a hour to get here. Turns out the power wasn’t working and they didn’t know until they came in. They open at 8:30 why not call the patients to make them aware they had plenty of time to do so. I decided to wait after 45 minutes they tell me that they are going to cancel my appointment. Ridiculous, what a waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Awesome service from the check in to the Dr. Visit. The dental hygentist was so gentle and knowledgeable. So sorry I didn’t get her name. Beautiful black young lady in the second space on the right. She didn’t just clean his teeth she educated my son on the what when and how to care for his oral health. So very impressed. The Dentist answered all of my questions and addressed each concern. So happy they are my child’s new dental providers.

Fantastic experience: I almost never leave reviews but I am still in disbelief at how efficient and pleasant our experience was here. I have never (myself or daughters) been to a dentist office that actually caters to children as much as they do. My 10 year old has extreme anxiety, yet she left feeling 100x better about seeing the dentist. This was our first visit here and my girls were in and out within 45 minutes. A place like this truly changes the fear that is associated with going to to the dentist.

Negative experience: My son been going here since he even started even growing teeth. I never had any problems until he turned 14 years old. He had an appointment for 8:30am, and he didn't go back to see the dentist until 10am. This practice has become a joke over the years. I just switched him to another dentist. This is inexcusable. They must have more patients than they can handle now.

Negative experience: Update: Based on there generic response it shows the apology is not genuine. There was also no effort to right the wrong. My son was in pain because of their negligence. I was fortunate enough to get him in at another dental office the very next day after attempting to get an earlier appointment with them for 2 days. We were told by two dentist within the practice that the crown was too large and should not have been placed on the tooth. My son also had an infection with inflamed gums and pus coming from underneath the crown. The infection was mostly likely caused by the poor fitting crown. The crown came right off with no effort. My son felt immediate relief and is now on a round of antibiotics He was put through two painful poorly done procedures on the same tooth and now has to go through a third procedure because of their incompetence. To make matters worse the insurance will not pay for another crown. These kinds of mistakes should not happen with such routine procedures. Initial review: My children have been going to this location since they were 4, now age 10 and 13. I have never had a problem. However, the past few years the wait time has been longer for both cleaning and treatment. The waiting room is now crowded and loud, most times with children running around. They overbook and do not allocate adequate time for treatment procedures. My son had a crown placed on a Thursday, Monday it was loose. I called to let them know and they have absolutely no appointments until the following week. Even when he needed the initial appointment for the crown they scheduled him for June. So the expectation is a child has to wait 3 months with a cavity and tooth pain. You literally have to call the office every morning and hope there is a cancellation. It is unacceptable to leave no openings for clients in need. I will be finding a new dental office.

Fantastic experience: These folks were so patient with my less than cooperative 3 year old during her first appointment. She’s been telling me all day about how much fun she had at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: The lady who cleaned my daughter’s teeth today was very nice and friendly. Dr. K was fast, efficient, and detailed. The atmosphere is always very kid friendly. We love the location, too.

Positive experience: Due to the front desk staff, me and my son was waiting for an hour and half until we were seen by Dr. Kimathi. I have no problem with Dr. Kimathi, good service but the staff is difficult. I asked how long it would take to be seen and I was told two different excuses by the staff, the Doctor said that it wasn’t true. My son appointment ran longer than expected and made me late to my appointment where I had to pay a late fee for rescheduling. No apologies just attitude and excuses.

Negative experience: BEWARE! Have been coming here for over a year. Every 6 months for my 4 year old daughter to have her teeth cleaned. Every visit has been good they have said everything is fine. We go last week. They take x-rays and clean her teeth. She did fine. First red flag I see the hygienist typing into the computer calling my child un-cooperative!! She was just laying there letting her work. Having fingers in your mouth is uncomfortable for anyone much less a child. Then the dentist walked over said " she has cavities but they will go over treatment" then I am told my child has 9 cavities. NEVER once was I shown an x-ray or anything. Every child in the room that day got told they have excessive cavities not one parent shown an x ray. They immediately want me to sign paperwork to have her sedated to do fillings on baby teeth. The assistant going over the paper work with me completely skips the pricing page saying " Oh dont worry insurance covers everything!" Looked up the "sedation center" in Sandy Springs horrible TRAUMATIZING reviews. Seems like a money grab to charge insurance. I will be getting a second opinion and will not be bringing my child back here.

Positive experience: The only problem I had was with the dental assistant. My daughter was having trouble swallowing her spit. I told her hey she's spitting on herself. She kept telling my daughter she can swallow her spit. Cool thanks for that she's also on laughing gas, has had numbing medicine and is tired.. So instead of telling her she can swallow her spit a bunch Help Her a bit since she's struggling. I had to stand right next to her at one point to make her catch my drift. I thought the reason why they're in the room is to be helpful!!! She just stressed me out more!!! The dentist though was great. I will say it feels like they are always overbooking.

Positive experience: Dr. K and his staff are very friendly, efficient, great with the kids and so accommodating. They always ask you questions, ask if you may have any questions, comments or concerns. So that helps you feel confident with knowing your child's oral health is in great hands. Plus the atmosphere is so cool, a reading nook, a treehouse, video games, always a good movie playing all throughout the office and the kiddos get to leave with a goodie bag and prize, can't beat that!.

Negative experience: Took my son in for appointment, signed in, waited an hour and 15 minutes, for them to then forget to call my son back, and then when I asked about the wait, they said the doctor and staff left. Every other child was seen except mine and we were early for the appointment. Horrible!

Fantastic experience: Dr. K and staff are wonderful. So friendly and knowledgeable! What a welcoming, professional, and friendly environment they have created. The whole place is tailored for children- we loved the wall murals - and because of this my daughter's first dental visit was such a positive experience for her. I truly love that!

Fantastic experience: From the front desk to the X-Ray tech to the hygienist, Felicia…everyone was pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly! We thought our daughter was going to have a rough time at her first dental appointment (she just turned three); however, it couldn’t have gone any better. We definitely recommend! 5 stars for sure!

Negative experience: The lady that called to confirm my appointment for next week was hateful she got snippy with me and got an attitude when I asked a question. Never in my life have I had an issues with the staff at this location office other than having to wait months to get a abscessed tooth removed from my sons mouth and in less than a week feom his visit I had to take him to the Er and be admitted because it was so bad. They can never get u in for dental work that is recommended by Dr travis to be done soon. It's always months out. And when my daughter needed a frenectomy done staff and dr travis told me they would be in touch with me that week to get her in but I called 3 times and no one ever contacted. I will just have to find another dentist office because they can't do anything timely.

Negative experience: The office is clean and fun for kids. The issue is the schedulers. As you may know, their appts fill up quickly and typically you have to wait months to be seen, which is understandable. The problem is, my son has needed fillings and/or extractions for over a year now but all that's been done for him are cleanings every 6 months. 3x now they've scheduled him for treatment but when he gets to the office they only provide a cleaning, not the treatment he was originally scheduled for. On each of those occasions, we made them aware that it was NOT an appt for cleaning and all they say is they cannot start the treatment today but they could schedule him an appt. Then the cycle continues. This is very frustrating because we are missing school and work to attend appts to not even receiving proper care. Very disappointed. And from the look of other reviews, this isn't an isolated issue. I expect much better. I cannot even put into words how much this has inconvenienced us and caused unnecessary stress.

Fantastic experience: This was the coolest dentist office I've been to in a long time. Amazing decoration,painted murals everywhere, and even a free stand up arcade center. The staff is super friendly. My daughter and I definitely will be back!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Dentistry for Children all offices are great but we have the most experience with the Douglasville office and we absolutely love Dr. K he has to be hands down one of the coolest most understanding personable Dentist I have ever meet and his team of hygienist are the best the lady who helped both my kids today with their treatment was so sweet and explained everything to my kids to make them feel safe and comfortable. I have never heard any child say they love the dentist but both mine have said it multiple times leaving that office . I will never go anywhere else if I can help it I wish they practiced on adults cause I would love to go myself.

Positive experience: The representative on the phone told me that she was sending my children’s appointment to the Douglasville location but verbally gave me the address to the Austell location. I explained to her how I had a previous issue with the Austell location and I never want to me booked there again and haven’t in years but somehow was given the wrong address and ended up there and missed my 1:00 appointment at the Douglasville location and had to drive another 30 minutes as well as wait until 3pm just to find out my son couldn’t get his appointment today only my daughter. They also didn’t give me my daughter’s excuse to take back to the school and I will have to take an additional trip out there because they won’t send it by email. I usually have a great experience with DFC especially the Douglasville location but this one topped the cake! I am extremely frustrated but nevertheless this is and will always be my favorite location. Mistakes happen no one is perfect.
