Negative experience: Misleading Pricing, Poor Communication- Patients Pay for Their Mistakes! I went to this dental practice because I don’t have dental insurance, and my daughter and her husband are patients there. During my first visit (which my daughter attended with me), we reviewed two plan options: one around $300ish and another for $699. I was told that I’d first need X-rays to determine which plan applied given my dental health, and that once I chose and paid for a plan, everything would be covered going forward. No other charges were mentioned! Ever. After the X-rays, I was told I had receding gums and qualified for the $699 plan. The staff member who explained it apparently a dental assistant, clearly and repeatedly told us that the $699 would cover all necessary treatment and that the plan would begin immediately. Based on that, we signed the contract and paid the full $699 on the spot. We asked multiple times if there would be any other costs, and each time we were assured there would not be. But when I returned for my first cleaning, I was totally blindsided. Whilst on the chair to begin my procedure, I was told I’d needed to pay an additional $1100.00 (approx.) for an initial deep cleaning before the $699 plan I already paid for could even start. That would bring the total cost to nearly $1,800, something that was never once disclosed or even hinted at during the sign-up process. I spoke with the Dental Manager, who acknowledged that I was given incorrect information and apologized. But despite admitting their mistake, they still insisted I pay the additional $800 which was offered as a "discount" from the original $1,100+ they tried to charge. Still doesn’t change the fact that this extra cost was never mentioned when I had already paid and signed the contract! That too, when I'm seated on the chair to begin. So to be very clear: I was quoted $699. I paid $699 in full. Then I was told I had to pay another $1100 which was discounted to $800 just to begin treatment. That’s not just miscommunication but rather that’s a complete breakdown in transparency and professionalism! Blaming the assistant for the misinformation doesn’t excuse the practice’s refusal to honor what I was told or the contract I signed. They’ve now lost three patients over this- myself, my daughter, and her husband. While I have no reason to doubt their dental competence, I have every reason to question their business ethics and communication. This practice advertises “transparent pricing,” but my experience was the exact opposite. We will not be returning, and I strongly advise others: get every detail in writing, or you might find yourself in the same situation where you are being held financially responsible for their internal mistakes.

Fantastic experience: The Best Dental Experience I've Ever Had! After recently moving to the Woodstock area, I was on the hunt for a new dentist and came across Dental Care Acworth. It was highly recommended, and after my first visit, I can confidently say the glowing reviews are 100% accurate. This is, without a doubt, the best dental care I've had so far. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming. My hygienist, Tina, was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly thorough with my cleaning, but what stood out most was how kind and approachable she was. I felt completely at ease and never once felt judged, which can sometimes be a concern when visiting a new dentist. What truly set this practice apart for me was the involvement of Dr. Melissa Wendling. In my experience at other dental offices, you barely get a few minutes with the dentist after the cleaning is done. That was not the case here at all. Dr. Wendling was present and actively involved during the prophylaxis, taking the time to explain things and ensuring everything was perfect. Her chairside manner is just as wonderful as Tina's—she's knowledgeable, gentle, and genuinely caring. If you're looking for a dental practice where you are treated with respect and receive top-notch, thorough care from a team that truly makes you feel comfortable, I wholeheartedly recommend Dental Care Acworth. I'm so glad I found them!

Fantastic experience: What a friendly staff and environment you have. From the front desk person to the dental hygienist, and Dr. Arjan Hayer, I felt welcomed and well taken care of! For a first-time visit, I am pleased with the services they offered! I love how punctual they were. I got seen within a couple of minutes after my original appointment was scheduled! Big deal. Iwas in and out of there. One additional thing I appreciate about Dental Care Acworth is their BluePrintSmiles Membership plan. I took advantage of that. Negative experience: These folks waited til 30 minutes before my appointment to tell me they don't accept my insurance. I made the appointment weeks ago, filled out paperwork, and even confirmed my insurance with someone over the phone. Just bad practice.

Fantastic experience: I came in to get a root canal and was super super nervous and anxious but the staff was great. They calmed me down and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It didnt hurt at all!

Negative experience: Been coming here for a few years but they've got new people in. They broke my bottom retainer today during cleaning and didn't mention it. They pulled so hard on it during cleaning. Harder then anytime in the past. Noticed it was snapped off when i got home. They didn't floss under the retainer like they used to. Also they said the AI scan showed I have cavities and didn't mention it after that. They didn't offer me fluoride, which I got at every other visit, and didn't give a bag of brush/toothpaste/floss upon leaving. Not sure what is going on but it has changed.

Between he and his hygienist, they spent two hours with me explaining the treatment that he was proposing to do on my teeth. His bedside manner is wonderful. This was very comforting to me and I left the office with peace and confidence in this dentist. I came back again to get my night guard fitted And he was very good and trustworthy on this visit as well. I recommend Dr.Hayer to anyone looking for a good dentist.

Negative experience: Since doctor mitchell has left they have started using deceptive charging practices. I have cancelled all future appointments and will be finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Updated Review: Some people do the work and get the job done, and then some people do the work and get the job done with pride. The latter is the definition of my dental hygienist, Kara. My experience this visit far exceeds any experience I had last year, but also exceeds anything I could've hoped for. I've been so ashamed to SMILE with my entire mouth because of some stains, but the dental cleaning has left me not wanting to stop smiling. I'm in total shock at how clean she was able to get my teeth. I'm so glad that there's a new dentist, Dr. Hayer, as well. He went over everything with me about my dental plan and it lines up with the plan Dr. Mitchell had for me. I felt seen, heard, and cared for during this visit. If my cleaning is any indication of how the remainder of my dental work will go, then I will be over the moon about it. I love that SMILE is their favorite word because it's my family's favorite word, too.

I came in after my temporary bridge broke, and from the moment I walked in, both the dentist and assistant were amazing. Dr Wendling and Teena explained every step of the process, answering any questions I had, broke down the costs upfront, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Not only were they thorough and professional, but they were also pretty cool and funny—which definitely helped ease my nerves. They gave me a new temp right at my initial visit, and I just came back to get my permanent bridge… and WOW. It looks better than I ever imagined! I’ve officially found my new dentist. The assistant as well as the dentist both explained each process from the exams to the cleaning. I appreciate them & have now found my dentist family !! Karlieeeee is the bomb !!! THE OFFICE MANAGER HAYLEY IS RUDE AND AN INCONVENIENCE. HER ATTITUDE SUCKS & SHE SHOULDN’T BE THE FIRST POINT OF CONTACT WHEN SHE LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS & THE MISHAP IS ON YOUR END NOT MINE. Fantastic experience: Love this office! I go for a cleaning every 3 months, and everyone is so nice. I’ve seen three dentists here, and they all have the best bedside manner and are super patient when explaining concerns and procedures. My visit was with hygienist Cara today. She was very friendly and really thorough. My teeth feel incredibly clean now! I switched to Dental Care Acworth because I felt like I was always being pushed unnecessary extras I didn’t need at my previous dentist and the staff was often very unpleasant. They would act as if my teeth were about to fall out from periodontal disease so they could scam me into paying for deep cleanings that my insurance wouldn’t cover. I had to leave that awful dentist so I decided I would shop around and give this place a try. My first visit here was a complete 180 from the practice I left. I’m offered extra services like fluoride treatments, night guards, and oral cancer screenings, but they are never pushy if I decline to get anything beyond a standard cleaning. I have also been told every visit that I have healthy gums and they have never suggested an unnecessary deep cleaning! I haven’t needed to go anywhere else, and I’ve actually sent my grandparents here to Dental Care Acworth because I knew they would receive proper care. Highly recommend!

They are like the perfect team and they do an amazing job, always making sure your comfortable and you can tell they actually care about you as a patient. Fantastic experience: My visit today with Dr Melissa and her technician Tina was amazing! I’m new to the area and chose her as my General dentist. Every visit I have had, her and Tina have been absolutely phenomenal. Today, I had to get some stains fixed on a few teeth and, OMGosh, I am sooooo happy. Just can’t stop smiling!!! I have also had to get a couple crowns on two teeth - they explain EVERYTHING before doing any procedure which I truly appreciate. If you’re looking for a dentist, call and set up an appointment with Dr M (and her tech Tina), you will NOT be disappointed!!! If I ever move from GA, I will literally fly back to have them work on my teeth if needed - that’s how good Dr M and Tina are!

Positive experience: I'm bk. There has been a hell of a change at this office. Dr. Mitchell is no longer there. The new dentist is not near as nice as he was. I was a happy person when I started there not so happy anymore. I was charger over $175. For dental wrk that I should not have been. I ask the female dentist why I was being charged. She say inflation. That was a bold face lie. She said 2 set up a payment plan. I said I've never been charged for this. I gave them $100. Then I went bk n 2 dys & finished paying. I ended up crying for I was not happy no more. I went n for a cleaning I was able 2 wlk out without paying for that. I'm sorry but no I can't recommend these new people 2 any1 anymore. I will stay with them for a bit longer. I called my insurance agent. They said the new people were right bythe charges they made me pay. But wrong for saying inflation. I was wet when she cleaned my teeth no cover for me at all. Wet wet I was. T.u. I miss Dr. Mitchell he did a wonderful work on my mouth. I will b looking for him.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by a coworker to try out this place and I have no regrets! Unfortunately, the dentist that I was previously seeing did not take my insurance and I was faced to look for a new one due to a filling coming off and Dental care Acworth was able to fit me in immediately. I love how personable the team are and reassuring me that everything is okay. I am definitely scheduling my cleanings/etc. here.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at Dental Care Acworth for years. This was my first bad experience and it left me shocked to say the least. I went in for a routine cleaning. X-rays were taken and I was told the doctor would be in shortly. Waited an hour to see the doctor but never saw one. No one came by to check on me or let me know what was going on. I ended up leaving as I could no longer wait.

Positive experience: Dr Hayer was wonderful especially with my special needs son. He explained everything in a way that my son understood. And let him take breaks when he needed them. Dr Hayer and I talked about the scope of work for my son’s mouth. And again he explained until I was comfortable. I gave him a range of what I could afford and he came up with a plan that worked at the lower end of my budget. His dental assistant was also understanding of my son’s issues. She was so kind to both of us. I have to use a walker and they accommodated me making sure there was a chair and helped me navigate the space. I made a mistake in our appointment time by 30 minutes (late of course) and when I called they said come on in. I would definitely recommend Dental Care of Acworth to anyone!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I did not have a great experience. They pressured me to do extra work on my teeth for an astronomical price. Thankfully I got a second opinion and did not go through with this outrageous procedure. Staff was very friendly unfortunately I felt like they had ulterior motives.

Fantastic experience: This was a very professional dentist office. The girls that work there are very polite and knowledgable. I went to them for top denture repair because, the night before I bit onto something that was frozen! And my top denture broke in half!! The dentist and his assistant were very knowledgeable and were up in the latest treatments. They were very thorough it explaining each procedure too. Also., they were familiar with how much time it would take to get my denture back! The most important part!

Fantastic experience: Trying to find a new dentist can cause a bit of anxiety. I feel like Dental Care Acworth is almost a hidden gem. Everything was a smooth process, from scheduling an appointment to filling out the necessary new patient forms online. My daughter received a thorough cleaning and gum scaling at her first appointment and she said everyone was so kind to her, which put my mind at ease. We look forward to coming back for the next cleaning!

Fantastic experience: Great Great Service, the last time I've been to the dentist was back when I was a kid, my family wasn't big on dental care so I never went, now that I am an adult and Ive learned about the importance of taking care of your teeth and gum, I wanted to do just that take care of my oral health so I decided to set up a appointment I researched a couple of places, and dental care Acworth was one of the places that pop up after reading the reviews I decided to make an appointment, the scheduling went smoothly, and today was my first visit, I walking in and check in with the front desk clerk ,she was super friendly and kind. The check in was so fast I was taking back a little, I was ask to have a seat and I will be seen shortly, well she was right I was seen quicker than I aspected I went back in to the dental room at this point I am very nervous seeing I haven't been to the dentist in a decade lol, but the dental assistant was so friendly she made me feel so comfortable and at ease I have a gag problem so during the teeth x-ray I was gagging and I felt embarrassed but she was calm and kind she told me to relaxed and that I'm not the only one that gag during the x-ray part, she was very patient the doctor came in I believe her name is Melissa she was so relatable and kind that I felt so welcome and safe, she explain along with the assistant the step I needed to take to get my teeth and gum back to health. I really enjoyed my experience with this practice I will continue my dental care with them and I recommend them to anyone looking for a good dental home that makes you feel welcome. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Explained the treatment plan very well. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Melissa. Second visit due to the infection not going away. Dr. Melissa is very concerned with my well being. New antibiotics, steroids, and pain meds.

Everyone I interacted with was so kind and thorough, and Dr. Melissa took extra time out of her schedule to have a new crown made and put in for me to make sure it was extra secure since she didn’t like the way the first one fit. Fantastic experience: I have yo say it is nice to be greeted when entering your office. I think most people take that as ordinary. I had become accustomed to being ignored until time for the late appointment. I made myself at home on my first visit to your office. And ,on my second appointment I have to say the hygienist was very kind and asked me not once but a few times if I was ok and made sure I was given a blanket for comfort as she explained every step of my visit.
