Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience at this office. They are on top of their customer service and all of the assistants, hygienists and Dentists are on top of their game. I give a shot out to Dr Pahk who is excellent in invisalign and general dentistry, to Linnie his Dental Assistant and to my Dental Hygienist Brittany who are both excellent in patient care and customer service skills.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gopalan and her assistant were very knowledgeable of my root canal issues. They both took their time to explain to me what they were doing and how they were doing it. They were both very patient with me. I appreciate their willingness and experience in removing of all of the bacteria that was in my tooth. Dental One Associates of Columbia staff are professional and caring.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and disappointing experience. I was charged a cancellation fee for an appointment that was never confirmed. The orthodontist I saw seemed rushed, didn’t explain anything, and did not appear to review my notes, which made me lose trust in moving forward with a root canal. The office treats patients like numbers rather than providing real care or service.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Rand is a very professional and knowledgeable dentist. Generally the whole staff is courteous and friendly.

Negative experience: The dental hygienist was rushing her work and talking on the phone through her headphones during my cleaning. The dentist seemed nice but she only talked to me for 1-2 minutes. Lastly the receptionist who checked me out was very disrespectful and rude when I asked her to clarify a billing question I had. Overall very unprofessional and I would not recommended for any new patients to book here. I would recommended finding a smaller family practice if you can.

I am new to this dental clinic; hoping the hygienist is efficient…fingers crossed? I had my ‘final encounter’ with the hygienist yesterday morning and she was indeed above expectations!!! Negative experience: It saddens me that the dental hygienist, Britney, was rough when cleaning my teeth. I had a very unpleasant visit. I was recommended to this dentist office and hope to find another hygienist who will be more receptive to a patient's concerns when expressed.

My appointment was at 2 p.m., and I was out by 2:40. The doctor was incredibly kind, quick, and efficient. She’s officially my new dentist now! Thank you for everything ❤️

Negative experience: called to make an appt for wisdom removal and receptionist told me, they didn't have any surgeon for the procedure. not helpful at all, when their website states otherwise.

Negative experience: I was late to my appointment which when I got there, they told me which was my fault, my work tends to overrun they rescheduled me, and due to the nature of my work, missed that appointment and thought I’ll wait till a day am completely off to schedule again. I then received a $102 statement. I called yesterday to ask, the lady on the phone told me I should have read on the wall the policy fee. I asked why not tell people when they call the late policy fee and cancellation fee? She told I should have known. Then she said they waived the first fee for rescheduled appointment but not the second. So I asked cancellation fee is $102 for 1 appointment but google says, $50, I asked her again n she says the same thing. Then tired of my trying to understand, she responds to me and says do you want to pay on the phone, at that point I was done. Being new to all these things and just looking for a dentist, and wanting to keep my record clean, I paid it, but now I see, no fee waived, unless truly on that wall I should have read one appointment miss is $102,charged me for both… that’s one mean lady and treatment!!! The reviews I had read were good, guess the treatment doesn’t apply to me…

Negative experience: The reception people were warm but I did not care for the doctor at all, she was very condescending. I did not understand anything she was saying about the dental procedure. She was talking about one procedure and then another procedure. She was telling me what she thought I should have. By the time I got to the front desk I had a headache and then to top it off they were talking about $12,000 worth of work. The dental codes they had were far from what my dental plan has. In any event I will never go there again.

Fantastic experience: The service was excellent. It was done with extreme care, minimal to no pain, They answered all my questions from the dentist to the receptionist to the hygienist to the billing people with patience and kindness . They were so careful when they proceeded knowing that I have cancer. I highly recommend this dental service to all that want top quality care, with a human touch.

Negative experience: I've gone for cleaning and photos, all they asked. I've paid for everything upfront even considering I HAVE INSURANCE APROVED BY THEM, but still get overcharged and usually a bill later.... when asked why they haven't billed my insurance for a cleaning was told... do you think you'd walk out of here paying nothing.... my insurance was never billed.... I've done that but the overbilling continues and insurance has paid next to nothing. When Ihave greatcoverage..

Fantastic experience: This was an unscheduled visit and although they fitted me in to be seen, the wait time was not bad. The Dr. was patient and did not rush. She took time to explain why I was in pain and provided a way ahead. I am thankful for the service they provide. Also the front desk staff and check staff was very caring.

Negative experience: I have had three appointments for the same issue and it still hasn’t be corrected properly. It could just be the specific dentist I use but I am in the process of finding a new dentist!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dental visits give me a lot of anxiety, but Dr. Pak and Dr. Khleif and their teams are great. Both doctors explain everything before and during each procedure, are always friendly, and make sure I’m not feeling any pain. Even though I wasn’t scheduled to see Dr. Pak during my last dental cleaning, I asked if he could evaluate a new issue the same day, and he made time for me in spite of his packed schedule. This saved me another long trip to the office, which I really appreciated.

Negative experience: Dropped care for no reason without informing me, would not forward X-rays to new dental office. Essentially stole 126 USD from me. I do not recommend them in the slightest. Looking forward to the ai generated message that asks to message them directly, even though they made it clear they do not care.

Fantastic experience: This year I’ve had several appointments with Dr Pahk and Dr Youn. They both explained the procedures in detail before starting and then during the procedures each step as they went along. They were very empathetic, checking that I was comfortable and not experiencing any pain. They are both very gentle and caring. The Dental associates always professional, explain everything to you and kind is well. The Dentist always been professional, kind, caring when examining your mouth. Explain everything about the physical exam, X-rays etc. Ask me if I had and questions to ask her and give me. Answer all my questions too. This is a great dentist to go too.

Fantastic experience: The customer service is very efficient, extremely helpful, going above and beyond. You are made to feel like you are their primary interest, not the office or any bureaucracy, which is very rare nowadays. The hygienists, dentists, specialists all make you feel comfortable regardless of dimple or complex a procedure they may be about to perform. They take the time to explain to your satisfaction any issues and options you have and never seem rushed. My family has been coming to this office for over 30 years and have never had a less than superb experience with any of the staff or services.

Negative experience: !!WARNING!! I scheduled an appointment specifically for a routine cleaning (no pain, no issues, zero cavities). At no point — either on the phone or in person — did anyone tell me this would be an evaluation and full (extreme number) x-ray visit only. When I arrived, they began taking x-rays. After about four images, the technician said, “We’re just getting started.” I told her “I’m done” and said I didn’t want any more x-rays. She brushed off my concern about radiation, saying “It’s so little,” even though a radiation warning sign was posted directly on the wall next to the panoramic machine. I explained that I was a healthy patient with no pain or dental issues and that I only wanted a cleaning. I also mentioned that I have never been to a dentist’s office that operates this way — typically, two bite wings are taken for a cleaning, and a panoramic x-ray only every five years (and often skipped if already done recently). Despite this, I was told I could not receive a cleaning without completing the full x-ray process, evaluation and “treatment plan” consult. I felt pressured, misled, and dismissed, so I left the office without treatment. I believe this practice misrepresented their services, ignored patient consent, and performed unnecessary imaging primarily to bill insurance.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Dental One enough. I had a very good experience at Dental One Associates. Everyone there was courteous and professional. The deep cleaning I received was the best experience I have ever had with a dental hygienist. Her name is Sherry and she was very gentle and thorough.

Positive experience: My primary concern is the practice’s failure to stand by its work. I was recently required to pay out-of-pocket for services that needed to be redone, despite having already paid for the initial procedure. This payment was demanded with the explanation that the issue was due to "the insurance company," which I find to be an unacceptable rationale for placing the financial burden back on the patient. Specifically, Dr. Rand informed me I would not be charged for the necessary corrective work; however, a bill was subsequently mailed to me. I have paid this charge to prevent collection activity, but this incident was the final factor in my decision. While the overall dental work has been decent over the years, the ongoing administrative issues, including excessively long wait times for appointments, persistent back-and-forth about payment, and, most importantly, the lack of accountability for services rendered, are no longer worth my customer loyalty. I am taking all future dental needs elsewhere, where I expect a higher standard of service and respect for my business.

The left side cleaning was not done because of the hygienist not being available despite having appointments twice. But Dental one made sure to get the cleaning done with their best hygienistJasmine who did a wonderful job. Negative experience: I have been a patient at Dental One Associates Columbia for nine years, but after my last visit, I will never return. I received a text message a week prior to my actual appointment (Sept 19, 2025). I immediately replied to the text message and received an auto-reply stating I had confirmed the appointment (screenshot below). I also completed the registration forms that came with the text link. However, on the morning of the appointment, I was told that I had no appointment, and instead was reversely blamed for cancelling and was humiliated in front of others. When I showed my text message confirming my time and date, the front desk staff, Ms. S. said that my appointment was instead more than one month away. When I asked how my appointment was moved (showing my text message on the phone), Ms. S. became dismissive and even told me of not knowing how to read a text and not completing the linked paperwork. I insisted I filled out all of the paperwork when I initially received it and the date listed was September 19th at the time. This is when Ms. S. became non-communicative and kept saying she wouldn’t help me if I didn’t follow all instructions. When I became upset about that false accusation, Ms. L. stepped in and said she would “handle it.” Instead of correcting the situation, she instead said that my appointment had been cancelled two days ago. When I asked who cancelled the appointment, she told me that she couldn’t say based on the system information. I became frustrated that they had cancelled my appointment without any notification and further they couldn’t tell me why. Ms. L. started to argue with me and even saying, “I don’t know who cancelled. Maybe your husband or parents called to cancel.” At this point, I became angry and I told them to show me proof of cancellation. They told me that only the office administrator has that information and they would need to call me back. They told me to “not shout” in front of other customers and that I would need to leave the office as they couldn’t see me. I was so upset I left the office in tears to call my husband. My husband drove from work to get an explanation but was met with the same rude and dismissive attitude. He was only able to get the phone number of the office administration. After calling three times, my husband finally received a callback at the end of the day from the office administrator—Ms. R. She was much more conciliatory and admitted that she did not have an explanation for the cancellation—possibly a system issue or hygienist not being available. She asked what could be done to remedy the situation. My husband asked for an email explanation of the issue and an apology for the way their front staff’s unprofessional behavior. As of writing of this review, I have yet to receive an email or call regarding the incident. Instead of admitting their system’s mistake and offering an apology, both Miss S. and Miss L. chose to blame and humiliate me while dismissing everything I said. Their behavior was arrogant, rude, and completely unprofessional. Employees who treat patients this way should not be working at the front desk of any medical office. Dr. Barrow, if you read this review, please know that you are a great dentist. I used to drive 30–40 minutes just to come to your office because I trusted your care. However, because of the behavior of the front staff in your office, I will no longer return. They’ve cost your office a loyal patient of nearly a decade.

Fantastic experience: I am not at all relaxed person regarding dental care and have delayed and avoided going for a very long & shameful time. . I must say that every single person reception, hygienists, dentists, schedulers were kind, friendly, supportive, professional and helpful. I had been avoiding and neglecting my dental care and everyone there was understanding, non-judgemental, and made this a positive experience for me. I am very grateful.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to Dental One for at least 10 years and most of my experiences have been pretty good. I wasn’t too pleased with how my teeth were being cleaned by Michael. I’m not sure if it was Michael or if something was wrong with the instrument used to rinse my mouth. I felt like I was getting a shower and when I informed Michael of the problem his response was, “Splashy splashy splashy!” Michael is unprofessional and he didn’t care about my concerns. I made it clear to the secretary to make sure he doesn’t clean my teeth on my next visit.

Fantastic experience: I really love this practice. I even commented today that everyone makes such a great team. You can see that the office culture is harmonious. For me, it’s one way of determining what dental practice is the right one for me. I just love everyone there. From walking in to see my dentist. I was there for Osseous surgery and everything went very well. This is my group. Nothing like where I came from. And I’ll say this, if you’re looking for dedicated, total care from regular dentistry to advanced periodontal work, you’ve found a great place. Don’t go to practices that specialize in just dental implants who also do periodontics because they will want to push you to take your teeth out and get dental implants and not discuss your option to clear the infection and get bone grafts. I got two second opinions and both said that implants were too drastic. If you’re looking for a dentist, a periodontist or implants, you’ll get everything you need here to save your teeth first or a final option like dental implants, bridges, etc. Update: finally finished all my bone graft work. Whew! Each quadrant needed some work in the back teeth. Everything went well and I attribute that to Dr, Khlief and his wonderful staff. I’ve even started recommending family members to this practice. Can’t say enough good things.

Negative experience: Pretty consistently, the dental care is great- except it feels like they try to add things on without any discussion. The legal requirement to disclose costs ahead of time has helped, but I’ve even had issues with that being consistent… My biggest issues have been around coordination with the reception care (one time I didn’t get checked in, but was right there; some difficulty with certain staff managing billing after visit with incorrect info, not following up with urgent matter when they said they would- then providing me false information to “cover” their non-follow through ). They fix issues, but the face of the office needs to be more consistent; It’s a big office so you get some great service, and some less good. It’s been frustrating enough with one person that it makes me question if I should go to a different provider…

Fantastic experience: I just completed the first phase of having a crown replaced on my molar, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Dr. Barrow handled the procedure with great skill and care, making it very comfortable throughout. The front office staff were welcoming and efficient, which really set a positive tone from the start. The treatment room and equipment were spotless, which gave me extra confidence in the care I was receiving. The crown was replaced. Perfect fit.The Dentist tore out of the room to the next patient without any small talk . However they had to fit me in urgently out of schedule because the temporary crown came off so I can understand the rush. Anyway I can chew comfortably. Pleased with the results!

Dr. Pahk explained each step in advance and kept me updated as he worked so I knew what he was doing and what to expect.There was no pain ... really, no pain. Fantastic experience: The hygienists are very nice and thorough as are the technicians. I cannot say enough about Dr Gopolan. She has been great. I am not a great patient but she discusses what she will be doing and to be honest, in my two visits for fillings I had no pain and no problems.

Fantastic experience: My rating is based on wait time and the overall time it took from start to finish. I spent more than two hours there.

Positive experience: My experience with Dr. Pahk and the quality of service is consistently excellent. The only area for improvement is the checkout process. After my appointment is finished, I often have to wait 10-15 minutes to be called up to pay and schedule my next visit. As someone who is trying to get back to work promptly, this wait time can be challenging. A smoother, quicker checkout would make a great experience even better.

Negative experience: Staff was very friendly all the way through to checking out. My appointment was for 3:00 pm. My cleaning started at 3:40, 40 minutes late start.

Fantastic experience: I've been a Dental One Patient for a decade +. Dr. Pahk is a denistry practioner at the Columbia location. He is extraordinary and the utmost professional! His meticulous technical, diagnostic and manual dexterity skills, coupled with his incredible knowledge and latest dental technologies are unmatched! I highly recommend Dr. Pahk as a your general dentist/oral surgeon. You will not be disappointed! His dental assistants Heather and Brittany are also superb! The collaborative efforts of this team definitely contributed to streamlining my appointment and my outstanding 5-star experience.

Fantastic experience: After being with my first dentist for over 40 years, I took time researching area dental offices. I have been with Dental One for a couple years and have needed various procedures-and I know I needed them due to pain. Dental One Columbia have been very good in providing service as well as some helpful advice. The customer service staff are friendly and extremely good at their jobs.

Fantastic experience: This office is amazing! Very professional! As you walk in the lovely lady greets you with professionalism gets you seated in waiting area expeditiously. They will not bill you for work they did not do. Also my dental hygienist I think her name is (jasmine) extremely nice, professional and knowledgeable of the proper ways to keep your oral health in good condition. Dental one associates is a 10 out of 10 across the board!

Fantastic experience: Both Dr. Rand and her Tech Assistant were amazing! I was handled with excellent care and professionalism. The procedure I had three months ago was explained in dull detail and, successfully completed! On yesterday I had my 6-month cleaning. The Hygienist was amazing as before and Dr. Rand examined my teeth afterwards. She was very happy with how my teeth looked and how I take care of them.
