Fantastic experience: Binh Nguyen deep cleaned my teeth today and did an absolutely beautiful job! Binh was very patient and friendly. I would recommend Above Dental to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Bihn has been my hygienist for many years now. She is kind, patient, and professional. Bihn reminds me of the best way to care for my teeth without chastising or causing shame. She asks about my comfort level throughout the cleaning and checks on how I feel after the cleaning is complete. I feel cared for by Bihn at Above Dental :).

Fantastic experience: My family has been to Above Dental, and has all said how good there experience was. So when my daughter who had a filling fall out and we couldn't get a appointment with Advantage dental where we normally go I called Above Dental. They got her a appointment with in a day and fixed her teeth. They have been amazing very good with not only talking to me but talked to her as well. We had a appointment today to get her teeth cleaned and man she did a incredible job and made sure my daughter was comfortable through out at the end even asked my daughter if there was anything she could do different for next time to make her experience even better. Before she cleaned her teeth she also went through a great routine for brushing at home to keep her teeth cavity free. We both left very happy with her experience. Definitely well continue coming back. If you are afraid of the dentist I really recommend giving them a try seems like they really care about you and make sure your comfortable and have a great experience all around.

Fantastic experience: My cleaning today was with Binh and she was a sweetheart. She worked hard to put me at ease. The service here has always felt professional. It was a little frustrating that they had trouble fitting in my 2x visits per year due to staffing shortages in the past, but they seem to have resolved that as I didn’t have a problem booking my next visit.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to a different dental office for ages. They always told me my dental health was fine. Literally two days after having an annual at the old place, I switched to Above Dental and discovered my gum health was not so great. They have helped me improve my gum health, have removed my wisdom teeth and have got me in for quick visits. The staff are all great. I switched my children to them too and the hygienists are lovely towards them. Binh is my go-to for myself. She is very fast and extremely efficient. Did my cleaning and x-rays during my lunch break!

Fantastic experience: I always get the most thorough and quick cleaning from Binh. I am impressed with her attention to detail and care for my long term health. A couple of years ago she recommended that I get a cleaning three times a year which of course I thought was unnecessary but it has improved my life. Because of her suggestion I was in and out of my last appointment in less than an hour.

Fantastic experience: I have dental anxiety, and truly Bihn has always made me feel so at ease during cleanings. Truly a wonderful, kind human who genuinely cares about every patients health. The doctors have also been wonderful every time, and affordable for those who even need to pay out of pocket.

Positive experience: I have been going to Above Dental for several years now and have been very pleased. From the moment I walk in the building I am treated with kindness and courtesy. My hygienist, Binh, is calming and gentle and does an excellent job. My dentist, Dr. Ong, is also king and gentle dealing with me and my anxiety regarding dental procedures. My only negative is they send out their crown and implant work so you have to wear temporary’s and deal with those for a couple weeks before getting the permanent tooth. This is the only reason for not giving 5 stars. I highly recommend Above Dental.

Fantastic experience: A crown came off and we are new to the area. Above Dental was able to get us in the next day to take a look at it and glue. The crown back on. Entire staff was very nice and caring.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough nice things about Above Dental! From their friendly, kind and professional staff to their knowledgeable and gentle Dentists. I even brought my son becuase I couldn’t find a babysitter and the staff was more than happy to give him love and attention while I got my x-rays. 10/10 would recommend!!

Negative experience: I have had terrible experience with them over the past couple of weeks. Most everything on their website is untrue. I went to them because I have a past of bad experiences with dentistry and was referred for sedation dentistry for an invasive removal of a tooth (possibly two). I was rushed, uninformed, had expensive procedures that aren’t necessary until future visits pushed on me while I was in pain. My immediate needs were ignored. Even their own employees were not aware of what was going on from one to the next. I called multiple times on a Friday afternoon (during regular business hours) only to get their voicemail and no return call. They said they are always available for emergencies yet their voicemail just says if this is a true emergency, go to the emergency room. Going here certainly has not at all helped my dental anxiety and now I’m left looking at a weekend with no way to contact them about the issues I’m having. I know options in this area are limited but if you can go ANYWHERE else, I would suggest it

Fantastic experience: I was there for a broken tooth. The assistant and the team were so fast to get me seated. They all worked together to share the task to ensure that my tooth was fixed on the same day. Kristi took my x-ray without gagging me or hurting my tissue then Jenna came in and helped get me settled while waiting for the dentist to come in and get me numbed up. I was very nervous. The practice was busy with their regular scheduled patients. They assured me if I would be willing to wait a few minutes And work with them, they would fix my tooth so that I didn’t have to come back because I live over an hour away. Claudia took over to assist. She was very confident and reassuring. Dr. Ong started and explained every step of the way I am a white knuckle patient. I will definitely come back to this office. They are worth the weight If there was ever one. I would give them a 10 star rating if I could and will also be bringing cookies as I hear they can eat a lot of them. I recommend everyone to try out this office. They are worth every penny saved.

Fantastic experience: Best dental place I've ever been to! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. They made the whole process of dental imaging easy and efficient and Dr Ahn was great at explaining the xrays and making me feel good about getting my teeth taken care of. The biggest thank you is absolutely to the Dental Hygienist Binh, she was so warm and kind, I had to have deep cleaning done in sections and she was amazing at making sure I was as comfortable as I could be during the procedure. She was so good at being encouraging and comforting during the not so fun parts of the cleaning and she let me pick my own music to listen to (metal) which was so so sweet and accommodating. She even took time out of her schedule to make sure things were done thoroughly and I wouldn't have to wait too long in between sections to finish my deep cleaning! I would 100% recommend this place! They have amazing staff and they are so good at explaining everything even the Michelle at checkout was fantastic about payments and how their programs worked. Thank you to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I needed to get established with a dentist and was really scared because I have been with my old dentist for over 30 years. I moved to Bandon in 2020 But was still going to see my dentist whenever I visited my family back home. So I decided to Google dentists in Coos Bay and I found Above Dental. They had a 4.9 rating so I decided to give them a try. Scheduling an appointment was really easy without any waiting time. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised, shocked, actually when I arrived at their office!!! It was modern and huge. The people in the office were very friendly and very professional looking. Paige works at the front desk and she gave me a tour of the waiting room. The office was clean and the furniture was very inviting. They Provide coffee and tea that you can have while you were waiting. I had maybe a three minute wait and then I was given a tour of the back office area by a lovely young lady named Claudia. She took me to my room and asked questions about my medical history and told me about the office. I provided my x-rays, but I needed two more because the bottom of the roots weren’t showing, which was a reasonable request so Claudia took them and then I met my new dentist, Dr Ong. He was SOOOOOOOOO nice. I had a list of questions I prepared to interview him with because I wanted to know about the person working on my teeth and if I didn't like what I heard well, I would go else where. He passed with flying colors. And what sealed the deal was when he told me his technique for giving shots. It was the same as the dentist I have been going to for years. He checked my teeth and then we discussed what he found And luckily, I didn’t need anything except for a good cleaning. He was wonderful. I felt so comfortable. I look forward to seeing him next time. Next, I got to meet my hygienist Binh. Now I don’t know about you, but I am really picky about how my teeth are cleaned because they are very sensitive to cold. Binh was so kind . She explained everything she was going to do and even put numbing medication on my gums so that it wouldn’t hurt so bad while she poked around to do my periodontal charting. That made me feel like she cared about me as a person and my needs. She talk to me about my oral hygiene and things I could do to make sure that my teeth stayed in good condition. The cleaning went so smooth and it didn’t hurt a bit. When I was done, she gave a file with pictures of my teeth and areas we needed to watch. She gave me her card and we made appointments for my next two visits for cleanings. Then I was taken to a little area where they had toothpaste, toothbrush's, floss and all kinds of little goodies. I got this really great plastic bag, and Binh filled it with all kinds of fun things. And then off to pay. Michelle was the last lady I met. She was very soft spoken and kind. She totaled up my bill and gave me the option for Payment plans or to pay each time. Just so you know if you pay by Check or cash you do get a discount. I can honestly say it was one of the best Dentist visits I have ever had. With state if the art equipment, a very conservative work ethic, a kind and friendly staff and Drs that are up to date with the latest treatments, you cant go wrong. I highly recommend this office to any one who is looking to establish care. You wont be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Walking in the door of Above Dental you feel it is unlike any other dental office you have been in before. The atmosphere is positive and everyone is helpful. What you will notice most at Above Dental is the teamwork of everyone working together to coordinate all of the patients needing care. Each time I have visited I have seen every team member help one another with getting their tasks accomplished. Paige at the front desk is always kind and welcoming. I had my initial exam with Dr. Ong and my cleaning from Binh. Both visits were fantastic! Negative experience: The dental care was great.. dealing with michelle and especially jody in the office is a nightmare.. they are rude and wholly incompetent.. we are facing a 2000 bill because of their incompetence and wifey has a dead tooth and no crown .. they billed us for it but never installed it !! They refused to email a statement and hung up on me We would have to take a day off work and drive 4 hours for basic dental care we have been billed for do not go here !!!

Fantastic experience: Super friendly and accommodating. For a dental office it's one of the nicer offices I have experienced. The first time you ever join them as a patient they give you chocolate! Cleaning teeth is irritating and uncomfortable at best. Above Dental does everything they can to make you comfortable and encourages you to let them know if you are in pain or uncomfortable with something they are doing. Very personable and relatable, friendly conversations. Binh Nguyen RDH has been a joy as my hygienist and has helped me keep my amazing set of choppers chopping and looking like a model mouth!

It is no joke to say that my self-image regarding my teeth and my heart at that time was traumatizing. Dr. Nicholas and Rebecca, his assistant, changed all of that for me! Negative experience: My first appointment I said I don’t want to end up with dentures. I was assured I’d get a partial as apposed to requested implants.i was told by my dentist “he prided himself on not leaving any fragments in my gums. Six months later I was left with a bag of teeth (of which the state would have pulled for me. No partial at all. The dentist told me it would cost between $10,000-$20,000 per implant so he decided against it. He ignored my questions about the partial which he initially brought up. It took six months to get all the infection, tooth pieces to finally calm down. I offered to pay in advance for implants. Instead I was charged $10,000 only to then be told they no longer had anyone who could work with me. From what I’ve researched in the worst case scenario it might cost 30,000 for a whole moth of teeth using the 4 posts with a smile method. I’ve reached out to a couple lawyers who have ignored me. DONT GO HERE! They lie, bill for work that shouldn’t have been done but with there 49.00 first time visitors sign out front and the baskets of free tooth paste, picks etc which I’d bet dollars to donuts they got free in the first place. I was left feeling uglier than I ever have. I’ve not been on a date since (I wasnt single for more than a couple months for the 40 years before that. Can only hope their valiant , service to the community hits them where it hurts. I hope a legal lawyer with integrity (I know a lot to ask) brings them to their knees. More than any ill will towards them I’d like to think my review saves even one person from going through what I have with them. Clearly they don’t care about the negative experience I had there or they’d have at the very least apologized since I first posted this. All the dental technicians were very sweet and, at the end even tried to make heads or tails of the decision that the dentist made supposedly on my behalf because giving me implants would have cost 20k per tooth. In other words he first gave a false quote then assumed I couldn’t afford the absurd price of which maybe 15-20 years ago might have been accurate but there are many places now that charge 20k for a whole set. My first visit I specifically agreed on getting a partial. They left me with the very thing I had told them I didn’t want. When I signed the agreement I questioned one line that said denture and, their response was a partial is still considered a dental plate.

Fantastic experience: I don't know how better to express my gratitude. I had a fairly severe dental emergency and they got me in next day. When I arrived, the staff was kind and helpful and I started my appointment right on time! Dr. Ong and D.A. Wendy did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable during a rough procedure. They were also extremely knowledgeable and answered my million questions with a smile. I thank God for sending me there, as they made the best possible outcome for a bad situation.

They apply a numbing gel, wait, then inject slowly- Zero pain!!! So Good. Fantastic experience: I had not been to the dentist in ten years when I decided to give Above Dental (Apple Dental at the time) an opportunity to be my dental care provider. I just had my second cleaning with them this morning (4/28/16) and I must say they are amazing!! I have been terrified of the dentist my entire life and they did very very well at putting me at ease. I no longer fear the dentist and even look forward to going back to see Sarah in 6 months for my next cleaning :) They have given me the most exceptional experience and customer service I've ever experienced in a health care type setting. I would and do recommend Above Dental to any and all people looking for an amazing Dental staff to take care of their mouth! Update 4/17/2024 Bin is my full time hygienist and is hands down the best in the business! She always gets me in and out super fast and never hurts me. They are not pushy or rude when it comes to recommendations and always make me feel like part of the family.

Fantastic experience: Friendliest and most professional hygienist and dentist. Out of network for me, but probably my best dental experience ever. I can't believe I am saying this as I have trauma from the past from 50+ years of painful dental cleanings and financial pain of what it's cost me. Definitely will recommend!

Fantastic experience: Above Dental is the turning point for me not fearing going to the dentist. Previously, whether it was the pain, the cost, or a combination of the two, I never enjoyed going. The hygienists at Above Dental are knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. The cost per visit can be reduced by going on one of their plans that take a percentage off of any of the necessary repairs. Moreover I trust them to do what is right for my health. Binh, who was my hygienist on my most recent visit, was wonderful. She had a light touch, also she had a lot of useful advice and recommendations regarding my oral health.

Fantastic experience: My mother was a dental professional. Our family was steeped in how a well run dental business should be run. Above Dental hits the top benchmarks. They are friendly, comforting and professional. Their office is a pleasure and from the front desk, assistants and dentists, their service is a delight. My review would not be complete without mentioning Cadie. She made my day. Charming and intelligent, she listened carefully and assisted the doctor in competent form. Fantastic experience: I have always been fearful about going to the Dentist from previous bad experiences starting from childhood. My husband seen Dr Ong for his dental needs including partials, he and his staff were so fantastic with him that I scheduled an appointment. My personal experience was exceptional, Dr Ong is very fun and personable, helps you feel relaxed and makes the visit anxiety free! I also had the pleasure of working with Binh the RDH, she is amazing so caring, kind, and sweet, always checking to make sure I was doing ok. She gave me the best deep cleaning I have probably ever had. She was also extremely knowledgeable about her work and sincerely cared about educating me about oral health with great recommendations. I would highly recommend Above Dental to anyone needing Dental treatment they are absolutely amazing at what they do!

Fantastic experience: Licensed professionals and all persons you encounter here are professional, and caring. They work to promote comfort while doing an exceptional service. Binh has been cleaning my teeth for a while now. She pays close attention to my needs and is the only hygienist I have chose to return to. My mouth does not inflame and hurt after teeth cleaning. My mouth gets lichen planus reactions, and she has not triggered one like others have in other clinics. I appreciate her attention to my requests. All the dentists I have seen there have treated my mouth cautiously and respectfully. I appreciate everyone at Above Dental.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous PAIN FREE Dentist!! I broke a tooth, I've never experienced such an easy pain free crown prep. I came in for my 6 months cleaning, perfect. Comfortable, painless, totally enjoyable. Beautiful, clean, sterile office. This is definitely my new Dental Home. Don't even ask about the Dr. and staff, Amazing, caring, fun crew. I wholeheartedly recommend Above Dental!!!

Negative experience: I gave a review 2 weeks ago giving them a great review. I had a infected tooth and they did see me quickly. They referred me to another dentist for a root canal. Dr. Johnson advised me my tooth was NOT cracked. I then went to the specialist they referred and he looked and said it WAS and needs extraction. Now I'm having that done. This week I disputed the payment with my dental insurance for the visit that referred me incorrectly to the root canal dentist. A correct diagnosis would have saved me the additional visit and money I have to pay out. I visited the office manager at Above and was told that it was my OPINION not the doctor's. Accepted no responsibility for an unnecessary referral. So if can't can't get a good diagnosis why go? Don't be referring me to specialists that I don't need to see. Put your patient first and if you make a mistake or misdiagnosis don't blame your patient. Never going back.

Fantastic experience: On 09/29/23 I visited Above Dental , it was the first time I had saw a dentist since 1995 . I never been back because of how low the Dr. made me feel when i was there . I've always feared and have been embarrassed to go back to a Dentist . I finally built up enuf courage to go back and I owe it all to my Best Friend and Office Manager Jodi Peck , for assuraning me that Above Dental had the best employees and they would never treat me the way I was treated in the past . When I arrived I was very impressed by the beautiful facility was and how professional the staff was . My assistant was Milli and introduction to the end she was amazing. Milli is top notch and knows and is very good at her job . Dr. Ong was my Dr. and he too is top notch . Dr. Ong and Milli made a plan on want for my care and went right to work . I was very impressed on how well they worked together and even more on how they made it a very comfortable experience for me . I never thought i would ever say this but I'm very excited for my next visit . Above Dental and their employees are the best . I highly recommend 10 out of 10

Fantastic experience: This review is being written after a visit for a cleaning. Highly professional, patient, and pleasant staff. Answered every question in a way that I understood, and explained every process thoroughly. I greatly appreciated that every person I spoke seemed to genuinely listen to my concerns and even showed support for the goals that I would like to reach for my dental health. This visit greatly exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling more confident about my teeth than I have felt in a long time.

I could feel how thorough she was being as she worked. She was genuinely concerned about my oral health and offered great information and suggestions. Fantastic experience: I love Above Dental! I have been coming here for years and it has always been a great experience. Binh is my hygienist, and she always does a fantastic job, but I have never had a bad experience no matter who I have seen. All the dentists I have seen here are great and kind and professional. I also love that Binh remembers every time that I like to have the sunglasses during cleaning. They also offer a variety of comfort options such as a blanket or earplugs. I love that they think of that. Binh is also thorough with my teeth and at the same time makes sure I am comfortable throughout the process. She cares so much about the health of my teeth that it makes me care more as well. The office is clean and inviting and the staff are all friendly. And of course the free lip balm is simply fantastic!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Above Dental in North Bend, Oregon. The staff was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Their dental equipment is up to date and I was happy with the work performed. AND they gave me a box of chocolates for being a new patient! No dentist has ever done that before. Are reasonably priced ( important ) and they gave me a folder with my options and pricing too. They are my new dental.

Fantastic experience: I took my soon to be 9 year old in for her biannual cleaning. Binh handled her with great care and carefully explained how and why we take care of our teeth. Fantastic experience: I was very pleased at my first visit yesterday to Above Dental, they go the extra mile! Everyone was very pleasant from the front office gal to the dental assistant Heather, to my first meeting with Dr. Ong, he was very personable. I had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned today with Bihn. She was very nice and thorough and was very efficient, she asked several times how I was doing, ( so kind too). It seems that their goal is to make the patient comfortable and alleviate fears while providing great care.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Above Dental. After several bad experiences with dentists in coos county I took a chance during an emergency and went to them after my regular dentist wanted me to wait in their office for 5 hours for a chance to be seen. Dr Bryce got me right in and was understanding to my fears of previous dentists. He treated me kindly and eased my fears. I truly miss Dr Bryce. I have also seen Dr Johnson and he is just as kind and compassionate. Today I had Binh as my hygienist and she was wonderful. We reminisced about Dr Bryce and talked about his dedication and compassion for the community. She was very gentle and caring throughout the cleaning process as well. Very attentive to my needs. Love the Above Dental family. They are amazing.

Fantastic experience: This is the most squared away dental office I have ever been to. I took my daughter there due to a broken tooth. They fit her in within a few business' days. The other places I contacted would have taken weeks/months just to see her. The staff was friendly. The facility was clean, large and well laid out. Their prices were very competitive, which is especially important due to us having to pay cash. Moreover, 8 year old daughter was very nervous when she arrived, but they put her at ease and made her feel safe. I have four other kids I will be bringing in soon as new patients! Finally, they have a subscription program, which doesn't require insurance, that provides substantial savings on cleanings, x-rays, and checkups for kids! I have never seen this at a dental office before, but as a parent with several kids it should make a huge difference.

Fantastic experience: For starters, this facility is absolutely beautifully designed & upon entering, the atmosphere immediately feels so calm, clean, & inviting. The staff could not be more kind, welcoming, efficient & professional; they made my husband & I feel immediately at ease, taken care of, listened to & valued as the patients & that is hard to find. If you are looking for great energy & a dentist that truly cares, look no further because this is the one!!!! We haven’t had the chance to meet all of the staff yet but the ones we have gotten to know are awesome— thank you to Heather, Gemma, Michelle, & Dr Johnson for being so great already!

Fantastic experience: I just had my 6 month cleaning. The dentist found 2 small areas that needed attention.He was able to fill them on the spot..saving me from having to make another appointment..The entire staff will do anything for the comfort and convenience of their patients ...THANKS AGAIN!! I just had my 6 month cleaning with bihn..she continues to provide me with exceptional care and the latest information on how to tale the best care of my teeth...she is the BEST I'm over 70 years young and I was raised that it is very important to take good care of your teeth. I have been to many dentists and hygienist..but none as exceptional and caring as bihn and Dr. Devin..and Dr. Martin . Well we are almost in 2023 and I continue to have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff at Above dental. The transition has been tough but the quality of their work is still outstanding..
