Fantastic experience: Went for my 6 month checkup cleaning today. Dr. Kim is on vacation, but I saw Dr. Amber while he is away. First time seeing her and she is amazing and so nice! Morgan did my cleaning and has for about 2 years now. I love coming here! Always a great experience!

Everyone is down to earth and attentive. There's a specialist for whatever patient care one needs and Dr. O is top notch. Fantastic experience: Today was my first root canal ever. I was so nervous I almost couldn’t do it. After a bad struggle with my severe anxiety problem I decided to tough it out. The staff helped me out a lot. This is the best dentist I ever went to. I felt absolutely no pain. They even numb your mouth with gel before any shots are given. Dr.Kim and his assistant today made it worth me choosing to go here. Absolute the best!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous about returning to the dentist after neglecting my teeth postpartum. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel comfortable, but I especially want to thank Brianna, the dental hygienist. She was incredibly kind and supportive, walking me through each step of the process and reassuring me along the way. What could have been an overwhelming visit turned into a truly positive and even empowering experience. I left feeling more confident, well-informed, and grateful for the care I received. Taking this big step for myself was not easy, but the outcome couldn’t have been better thanks to their compassion and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Greg and Madison were amazing! I hate the dentist and have gone to the same one my whole life. He recently retired and I needed to find somewhere new. So glad I made the change. They made me feel less anxious and made me feel welcome. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office.

Negative experience: I was a legacy patient from when Dr King owned the practice. I have had several cavities and crowns over the years. I had good experiences here until Dr Amber went out for maternity leave. She told me I should not wait until she came back to have three small cavities filled. So she referred me to Dr Carly who is new at the practice. I didn’t have any pain or problems before Carly worked on me on July 2 but I have ever since. I complained daily about my troubles but she just wasn’t helpful. She suggested maybe I bit my cheek. Although my check was the only thing that didn’t hurt. I didn’t get any answers until I went to urgent care with 10/10 pain on July 13 and they treated me for Trigeminal neuralgia, which eventually went away after two rounds of steroids. But I still had jaw pain. My new dentist diagnosed me with TMJ and I am going to physical therapy to get better. Carly was rough and I regret having her work on me. At some point while she was working on me she changed out the drill because it was broken. But she tried to make the broken drill work. I think the broken drill traumatized my jaw. Hopefully this review gets the attention of someone who cares about the practice so that they can prevent recurrence and drive improvement.

Fantastic experience: This is the only time Ive had a cleaning at any dentist that wasnt painful! I cant remember who did my xrays, it may have been a "Carla", she was very gentle, polite, and understanding of my anxiety. Rosa Velasquez did my cleaning, and that alone was enough to ensure I will only be going here from now on. She was extremely gentle and understanding of my major anxiety around dental cleanings. Until this point I thought routine cleanings were just a painful experience. Dr. Kim was who went over my xrays with me. He was very informative and friendly. This is the best office I have ever been to.

Cameron did a wonderful job of explaining what was going to be happening and giving breaks for any discomfort that occurred. Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ Best dental care I’ve ever had — and I’ve been to dentists all over the world! Dr. Niels Oesterwemb and the team at Winchester Smiles of Virginia are amazing. I had a pretty intense procedure — extractions, sinus lift, bone grafts, and four implants topped with new upper back teeth — and everything went super smoothly. Dr. O explained everything clearly and made me feel totally at ease. The office is spotless ✨ and the staff is super friendly and professional . I can eat comfortably again and smile with confidence . Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I came in for a cleaning this morning after not being able to get into a dentist for 2 years and was treated like royalty. The staff did an excellent job of explaining what was going on with my teeth without making me feel inadequate; they were extremely kind and caring. Can was a great hygienist, Kara took care of me at the front desk, Jess was a stellar dental assistant, and Dr Greg set me up with a great plan to better my smile!

Fantastic experience: I've been a long time customer (since the Dr. King days). I adore Dr. Amber and the entire staff is wonderful. This week I got to meet Dr. Kim and he is a miracle worker. After I chipped my front tooth, they were about to get me scheduled within a day, and he fixed it up right then and there - within an hour, it was perfect again and no one can tell it's not my original tooth. Plus he gave me tips to avoid another injury. (Pricing was reasonable too!) I am over the moon delighted!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I heard about this dentist through my parents, and since we had recently gotten married with we’re going through the entire medical checklist. My parents recommended this place to us and I have been twice, first for a consultation, and just today for a cleaning and my first filling. The two dentist I have seen, three dental assistants, and reception ladies I have met each time have been nothing but the nicest, kindest, most caring people I have ever seen in a medical practice. I like never leave a review anywhere but I had to for here because I can’t get over how much they truly care for you as a patient and it makes me so happy because I have some pretty crazy experiences in other dentistry and medical professions. So glad we are here for the long haul with them!!

Fantastic experience: Great place. Hygienist is friendly and makes it a stress free visit. I have never had a hygienist make sure I was flossing correctly either, so this was above and beyond to me. Dentist isn't there to shame you and seems to genuinely care about your dental hygiene.

Dr. Amber was able to fit me with a temporary tooth and my replacement tooth was quickly provided. Dr. Amber took her time and made sure the color was just right. Having been a patient at Smiles of Virginia for over 10 years, I no longer dread extensive dental work, my cleanings, or a simple cavity removal. Fantastic experience: I like many others have a feet of dentistry and put off going to the dentist as much as possible. With that being said everything from the pre appointment consultation to address fears and discuss triggers, to the wonderful hygienist who talked me through each step, and the gentle dentist Dr. Greg was amazing. Every step of the way I was given information, included, and consulted before moving forward. The Hygienist who’s name i sadly am blanking ok (I think it was Rose or Rosa maybe?) was amazing. She explained what she was doing, warned me of anything May cause discomfort and explained ways to improve my dental health with politeness and positivity. While I wouldn’t say I look forward to my next appointment (sorry guys ) I do feel more at ease and like getting my smile under control is achievable. 10/10

My Dental team were professional, very gentle and personable with me. Dr. Kim did a great job! Fantastic experience: This place is awesome!! Friendly/helpful staff, office is clean & well taken care of, hygienist & doctor were great! They were so accommodating to my 4 year old even though they aren’t a “pediatric” dentist office! They had bluey playing on the ceiling, sunglasses so her eyes didn’t hurt from the lights & everyone explained exactly what was going to happen to my daughter in terms she would understand. It was a great first visit & she can’t wait to go back! I am so happy they made this visit so easy so now she isn’t scared of the dentist!

Fantastic experience: After a comforting experience with an emergency visit here a few weeks ago, I scheduled a cleaning and new patient visit with Dr. Carlie today. Farah and Morgan both provided skilled and excellent service. Dr. Carlie was personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. Every corner of the office is sparkly clean, and the vibe is extremely efficient. Fantastic experience: I don’t know that I’ve ever had a more pleasant dental experience. Every staff member was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely enjoying be there. My hygienist, Cam, was very kind and perhaps the only person who has ever cleaned my teeth and not seemed rushed to get to his next patient. The practice has a great all-around atmosphere.

I HATE getting cavities filled because I can always feel them hit a nerve but the Dr numbed me a little bit extra and I did not feel a thing! I am so glad I found this place. Genuinely lol.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Greg and his assistant Makenah were great. I came in with a badly broken tooth that was painful for quite some time. On the day of my initial appointment, they were able to help me right then and there They listened to any of my concerns and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I've been pain free since the tooth has been out, not even having any major post-extraction pain. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Thought I found a new dentist who didn't want to spend an hour evaluating my mouth before a cleaning after making an appointment. Only to get a call back saying they needed an extra hour for evaluation before getting to the cleaning. I don't need a "plan for my mouth" - I need a cleaning and x-rays. This is the second dentist in the area that seems to need to do this.

Fantastic experience: My first visit as a new dental client- Dr. Carly and the dental hygienist Lisa were great! The cleaning and dental examination was thorough, all the staff at Smiles are friendly, helpful- a very positive experience.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at this office, and I will absolutely be coming back to them for all of my dental needs. Bri was my dental hygienist and I was seen by Dr. Kim. Bri was so easy to talk to, was relatable, and educated me on what she saw happening with my teeth and answered my questions throughly! She listened to me about a sensitive spot on my tooth and was able to put something on it so I couldn’t feel the sensitive spot at all. She reviewed with me how to make that seal last longer and will make it part of my future cleanings with them. Dr. Kim was great! It was apparent him and Bri have great communication regarding their patients and he was able to talk about all the things Bri and I had covered. He was very easy to talk to and the whole office made me feel so comfortable! I cannot stress how positive of an experience this was! The space was clean, modern, friendly, and everyone was so knowledgeable. I left excited that I had scheduled my next appointment and don’t feel the stress I used to feel about going to the dentist! I would recommend this office to anyone! Update 2025- Bri has been my hygienist for 2 years now and I could not ask for a better one!! She makes me feel heard and makes sure I understand what is happening. She is also so easy to talk to and it really feels like soul therapy when I leave. Bri makes it so much more than just a teeth cleaning and makes me feel so valued. 10/10 would recommend anyone to this office and having Bri as their hygienist!

Fantastic experience: I went to Winchester Smiles of Virginia to remedy a dental emergency. Everyone there from the person running the front desk, the dental assistant, the dentist to the accounts manager, was kind and listened to my concerns. My visit was pain-free and I felt I was in experienced hands throughout the entie visit. The lobby area was welcoming offering an uplifting atmosphere and the exam areas were calm and extremely clean and organized.

I have had a hard time finding a dental practice since moving here 11 years ago. I will never go anywhere else! Smiles of Virginia is the absolute best!!!

Fantastic experience: The staff & doctor Carlie were absolutely wonderful. No one previously had taken the care or time to explain what steps needed to be done or helped us find an in network provider to help with a small child's dental issues. Jordan called each place to find the soonest availability and make sure they were in network with our insurance. We were able to get 3 appointments in 1 week time span between the 2 offices to get a broken tooth removed for my daughter who needed to be put to sleep for the procedure. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have had a wonderful experience here, and so has my family. I was seen by Dr. Carlie and I love her, she is very efficient while keeping a humorous and lighthearted air. She is great, despite being left-handed! Amy and Malika have both helped me and they are wonderful! I love the banter they both have with Doctor Carlie. They are very professional while being lovely. It is a very relaxing environment, full of artwork and sweet people. 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Amazing job I had a dentist appointment elsewhere they were 2 months out I called Smiles they got me in the same day I was having bad teeth pain they were able to get me in take care of needs. Highly recommend this place very convenient quick and professional

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Ashley and Dr. Kim were amazing. Dr. Kim gave me all my options for my dental issues and Ashley talked over my price ranges with me. I really appreciated all their help. Even my check out process was nice and easy with getting referrals to oral surgeons.

Fantastic experience: This organization is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. After moving around quite a bit and experiencing different dental offices, this has been the best experience I have had yet in terms of quality care and services provided. My teeth have never felt cleaner.

Fantastic experience: If you're worried about getting a tooth pulled, go here. I started looking for an emergency tooth extraction dentist at 4pm on a Wednesday and was able to get an appointment for 930am the next day. I showed up early and was taken back immediately. No time was wasted at all. They took x-rays, carefully explained my options to me, and were able to extract the tooth. They were cautious and were only comfortable going forward if they could correctly numb me, which they did. I never felt any pain and have had no pain since the procedure. Everyone was super friendly. Would definitely recommend for any dentistry needs.

Negative experience: It's typically a bad experience with the folks answering the phones. It's comical how easily it is to sour a relationship with a bad attitude. I cannot stand the haughtiness when they're representing a company/practice. Cancelled our kids' upcoming appointment due to the interaction. Do better.

Fantastic experience: I've had nothing but positive experiences here. As someone who has severe dental anxiety that has included panic attacks in the dental chair, this facility has been wonderful to me. Dr Greg is amazing! He's very patient, has the best demeanor, and has managed to help me stay calm through the various procedures I've had. Most recently I needed an emergency extraction, and Dr Greg and the team were able to squeeze me into the schedule on the same day I called. I was set up in the chair with headphones and my favorite cartoon on the overhead TV. I was also given the option for nitrous gas which helped tremendously with my anxiety. Dr Greg was likely in a time crunch having squeezed me in at the last minute, but I never felt like he was rushing the procedure. He took his time and even though I was fully numbed up and chilled out, I could tell he was doing everything in his power to be gentle and deliberate in his work. The procedure went so quickly and seamlessly that I didn't even finish one episode of my show before it was all done! Thanks again to everyone at Smiles for their excellent services!

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend this office for people who may not have had the best experiences with the Dentist. They are all very nice and I can't speak highly enough of Brianne, I go to her every single time.

Fantastic experience: The dentist office is not a place I like to go. Smiles of Virginia was totally different. It was beautiful from the time I walked in the door until the time I walked out. I did not have to wait I pre-registered online. The staff treated me like I was the only patient in there. I’ve never looked forward to going back to the dentist, but I am certainly looking forward to going back in two weeks for a follow up on my procedure. Super service very professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience and appointment at Smiles of Virginia. As always Brie did a wonderful job at cleaning my teeth. She is always a delight to talk to and she always makes sure you are comfortable and that you are getting the best care. I can’t say enough good things about Brie, Dr. Amber and the whole office!
