Negative experience: This is the worst dental office I've ever been to. I waited over an hour in the back to get seen. I finally left on my own accord and the dentist still didn't even look my way. He had all these patients waiting in the front area of the office. I will never go to this place again.

Negative experience: I was a patient of Elite dentistry for several years and had prior dental work completed without complaint, until earlier this year when there was a change of dentistry staff (and I assume ownership). I agreed to a crown and experienced pain and sub-par work throughout the whole process; with the temporary crown and permanent crown. A subsequent and sub-par unsuccessful brief attempt to fix my bite was sent to my insurance for an EXORBITANT extra amount. This is in addition to them resubmitting several charges for more money. To this day my bite is still off and I have pain with two additional teeth that are now compromised.

Negative experience: My dental experience was very horrible. First of all, I was on time for my original appointment after they called to ask if i come in an hour before. And then once I get there, 10 minutes before my time, with all the paperwork filled-out. They ask me to take a seat which is fair. Now it wasn't fair is when about 5 other patients came in. After I did and my appointment was at 3 o'clock. At 305, they started to call back all the other people who arrived after I did, including the new patient. Who was just signing up the one who was on the phone trying to get the insurance information. I literally felt like a fly on the wall barely even noticed. Around 325 I finally got the nerve to ask. How long is it going to be before I get seen? It took them 10 minutes to get back to me with the answer. In the meantime, my job is calling. Asking when will I be back to work? That's why I could not make the 2 o'clock appointment. Because I was in between jobs. Trying to keep my teeth in my mouth. So in the meantime, I step back in while I'm on the phone with my supervisor and one of the nurses is waving me back. Come on, come on, we can take you. I say sure once I get back there. After taking x-rays, they told me they don't know how long it would take before the doctor is able to see me.. I simply suggested that should have been said from the beginning. So that I could make a new appointment instead of wasting time. Apparently that was not the case. I have a new appointment for Friday. Hopefully it will go better then. The first one.

Negative experience: 13 year patient and told this morning no routine cleaning, won’t even be seen, unless I pay $400 for X-rays. X-rays are now mandatory every year and since the last dentist that saw me (and took X-rays in 2023) no longer works there, none of their doctors/hygienists “can help me” until they see new X-rays. They also cancelled 2 appointments the night before over text that were 6 months apart so I have one single year gap in visits. Dr Larry Surer retired a few years ago, and every six months since, it’s a different dentist anyway. Terrible retention rate. Do you let dentists take patient records with them when they leave?? No one on the team even tried to make sense of it, or give a reasonable explanation, just repeated “it’s our policy now”. They actually printed out an invoice for the X-rays and said do this first or no service.

Negative experience: WORST ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE EVER. They scam your insurance as a new patient to charge your insurance double, don't file insurance, and then charge nearly $400 for x-rays without ever providing the service scheduled. Context: I scheduled a cleaning. I provided my insurance (scans, photos, etc) 7!!! Times. I arrived (having givent my insurance twice before the appointment), only for them to say it isn't on file. I provided it a third time(once typed and they scanned my info) at checkin- and they said they did not run my insurance despite providing it before arriving. They did NOT inform me I wasn't going to get a cleaning until I was in the back getting xrays. The system they use for taking x-rays is large, painful, and took over 15 images that required I hold large heavy rings by the edge of my gums- I've never needed more than 3 - 5 for past dental xrays and it was never painful at other dentists. They then took an itero scan, which was both uncomfortable and expensive. I was then told my teeth were fine (despite coming in to get a cleaning and discuss tooth pain I had), and gave me a recommendation for invisalign (my teeth are like 95% straight) and told me to come back for a cleaning. At check out, they stated they AGAIN did not have my insurance. I gave ANOTHER (fourth) scan, and was promised that the services done were free of charge and that even though they had not yet run my insurance. They then sent me a $340 bill. I called, gave them my insurance for a 5th!!! Time and was reassured it would be settled. When I recieved another notice, I provided insurance an additional 2 times. Despite giving my info over, and over, they filed claims court without processing my insurance. I'm exploring legal action- absolutely would never go to this office again. They are not organized, the office smells weird, and their behavior is nothing short of deplorable. How dare you charge someone a life altering amount for a service you promise is free without even filing the coverage.

Negative experience: This place has totally went downhill ever since Dr Suhrer retired years ago. I was patient for his 55 years. To start the office people are extremely rude and the office itself is extremely dirty. The dentists ,there have been so many, always try to push stuff you do not need. I did have a 3 tooth bridge which was loose and Dr Bucci tried to pull it out. Their quote on this bridge was $5995.00 which I thought was extremely high. I went to another dental practice and they only charged me $2000.00 and I am extremely happy with their service. I will never go back there again . My advice to anyone that goes here is to look elsewhere.

Negative experience: One star is generous for the experience I've had with this dental practice. I was a patient here for nearly two years, but what used to be a decent experience has completely deteriorated. This office has become impossible to reach by phone — calls are rarely answered, and voicemails go ignored. Meanwhile, they continue to send me harassing emails about a bill I do not owe. I had a crown placed over six months ago that remains painful to this day and makes chewing on that side nearly impossible. Despite this, I was charged for a post-op visit that was supposed to be free — a visit I only agreed to after confirming by phone that there would be no charge. I feel this was a clear bait-and-switch. Unfortunately, my wife has had a similarly frustrating experience. She was assured a particular provider was covered under her insurance, only to be billed later for services rendered out-of-network. This kind of misinformation and mismanagement is unacceptable. What was once a trustworthy office now feels dishonest and predatory. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. ____ UPDATE; Despite multiple attempts to clarify a clear billing error on their end, I was still required to pay for an unnecessary postoperative visit. I was initially told to disregard the payment and assured it would be removed, as the issue stemmed from their internal coding mistake. However, I later received notice that the charge would be sent to collections if not paid. This experience has been deeply frustrating and reflects poor administrative coordination. I expected more accountability and better communication from a healthcare facility.

Negative experience: I had visited Elite Dentistry in Monroeville before and met with Dr. V. It went great. He was nice and took his time. One of the black ladies was kind of mean to me, wasn’t very personable, and didn’t talk much; you could tell she just wanted to do her job and leave. My most recent experience was terrible. I learned that I needed three fillings. Dr. V asked if I wanted them pulled that day, and I said “yes.” To make a long story short, he caused me unnecessary pain when numbing my tooth. He put the gel that is supposed to numb the gum, but he didn’t let it sit long enough for my gum to be numb. Instead, Dr. V went straight to inserting a large needle into my gums after just letting the gel sit for about five seconds. I was in so much pain I felt like I was going to cry. He repeatedly stuck me with the needle over and over again, even sticking me multiple times and on my tongue, Now my tongue has been feeling weird. The next worse part was that while Dr. V and his assistant were doing the fillings, there was massive water splashing everywhere, and they didn’t even stop to do it properly. I also experienced a lot of sensitivity throughout the procedure as I left my hand in place. Lastly, towards the end, they were having a very unprofessional conversation about new people and other unrelated topics while performing the filling. Overall, this was the worst experience I have had at this office, and because of this, I am debating whether I even want to go back. I felt mistreated and everything seemed rushed.

Negative experience: I strongly caution anyone considering this dental office — what was once a decent practice has become disorganized, unresponsive, and frankly unethical. After nearly two years as a patient, I can no longer recommend them in good faith. They are impossible to reach by phone — no one answers, voicemails are ignored — yet they have no issue relentlessly emailing me about charges I do not owe. I received a crown from them about 6–7 months ago, which remains painful and unusable on one side. At a follow-up visit, which I only agreed to after confirming by phone it would be free, they still charged me for a two-minute appointment. This kind of billing tactic is completely unacceptable. My wife’s experience has been even worse. They misled her into seeing a provider they claimed was in-network, only to send her a large out-of-network bill afterward. On top of that, they submitted a series of strange insurance claims that made no sense — seemingly in an effort to use up the remainder of her annual insurance stipend without proper justification or explanation. Between the shady billing practices, poor communication, and subpar care, this place has become unbearable to deal with. Avoid this office at all costs.

I had an emergency on a Tuesday and leaving for Florida on Wednesday and a cap literally fell out of my mouth, they took me immediately on Tuesday was able to repair it, get it secured and I was able to go to Florida. Negative experience: The folks are excellent. The parent company has succumbed to corporate greed in that their sole purpose is to maximize profits on the backs of individuals who have no insurance. Why should an individual pay more for identical care than an insurance company? The accountants at Elite Dentistry obviously have no compassion, which I know is not part of their training.

Fantastic experience: Getting an appointment was very easy and the staff were very considerate. Once I was at the office I was seen in a reasonable time frame and the dentist explained everything very clearly. I had to come back for a cleaning and a filling and that was scheduled only 2 days later. All in all a pleasant experience for a dental visit. The place is always clean, I didn’t have to wait, and felt respected. This was also my two year-old daughter’s first time being there and that was A little scary for me. Negative experience: Genuinely not a great experience from the beginning. I got to my appt 15 minutes early, and 2 minutes after my appt start time I was sent to the downstairs dentist office, I guess they had a mix up. Whatever. Then I go downstairs and am told they can’t verify my insurance so I’ll have to wait to do that. Fine, no biggie. I asked if I should reschedule since I have to go to work at a certain time, and was told no because no matter what my appt will have to end at the end time scheduled anyways. Weird. They don’t take me back to the until. 20 minutes after my appt start time. First thing I notice? It’s gross. There are dirty finger prints on the wall, water drip stains from probably the sprayer, dust, dirty floors, and all equipment looked uncleaned. I tried not to let it bother me, but I should have left right then. The very sweet dental assistant explained that she was temporarily filling in at that office and was very kind throughout the whole process, so I have nothing bad to say about her, but no one would help her find the stuff she needed or work the equipment she needed to use when it was malfunctioning (this includes the computer). Finally the doctor comes out, and at this point I am beyond annoyed at everyone (but the dental assistant). The doctor is doing an exam but basically ignoring what I am there for. I get it, different places have different practices, but to make me wait for 50 minutes into my appt time just to act like nothing was wrong all out irked me. At this point I told her I would not be staying and I will just go to a different dental office. All in all, not a great experience whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: Today was a good day. First time patient and the appointment was not hard to get thank goodness. Great customer service and detail oriented, is how I found the staff to be. Positive experience: Judy is so rude and condescending! I sat in the waiting room for 30mins. All because she did not communicate well. I provided a health insurance card from my employer (we are not provided dental cards) instead of using her experience to ask what dental insurance I had. She allowed me to sit there for 27minutes. Another patient that was waiting with me commented as he was leaving his appointment, in which we arrived at the same time “sheesh you’re still waiting!” Which prompted me to check in for why I was waiting so long. When I approached the window the older fair skinned woman asked if she can help me. I attempted to explain and JUDY interrupted “oh I’m playing CSI trying to figure out what dental insurance you have.” And laughed. Well Judy, you’re an Office Manager at a dentistry, NOT a CSI agent. All she had to do was ask. It could have saved me 30minutes and an attitude for poor communication. When I told her she said “ahh there it is” literally in 2 seconds. So I had to refrain myself from being on her lower vibrations. I took a long pause. The older fair skinned lady said “she’s talking to you!” I had to tell her I heard her but needed my cards back. She then gave me a long stare. Cole interjected and have me my cards, a smile and an apology. The level of unprofessionalism is despicable. I mean the older lady, at that age, should know better. And the office manager should definitely know better. Needless to say Cole, Ryan, Angel and Dr V made up for the first time experience. Ryan was informative and friendly. Angel was fun, personable and entertaining. Cole was super chill and personable. And Dr Z was the icing on the cake. He was very pleasant and professional. Leaving, Cole assisted me (I will only work with him at the desk). Judy made it her business to be extra, like over the top. Her level of fake on top of sarcasm would have caused a huge issue if I was not a NOW saved and delivered person. Caaaauuussseeeew babyeeee! J Cole on her playlist would not have made me chill. Overall, I will be returning and avoiding the front desk females AT ALL COST! The other staff outweighed the two females at the front desk.

Negative experience: I had a highly disappointing experience during my recent new patient visit. The hygienist's behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful in regard to a healing cold sore I had. Rather than kindly suggesting I should have rescheduled, she was excessively dramatic and rude throughout the appointment. She instructed me to apply Vaseline on two separate occasions, repeatedly saying, "You NEED to COVER THAT UP," along with other condescending comments. While I had no issue using the Vaseline, her tone was demeaning, and her body language displayed visible disdain towards me. Her behavior made me feel humiliated and disrespected, as though a cold sore is something never seen before. When the dentist asked about the cold sore, the hygienist interrupted me and dramatically insisted that the cleaning cannot proceed due to the cold sore. As stated above, this could have been handled very differently. As a representative of your dental practice, she would benefit from education on how to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and respect. She would also benefit from education on how to address cold sores appropriately. I do not wish to be contacted by the office or the hygienist regarding this review or asked for further details if you choose to follow up. The focus of this matter is clear.

Positive experience: Dr V was nice, the office was a cluster and were unfortunately not accommodating for patients with kids. They skipped my wife who had the kids as I was checking out in the back

Negative experience: I went there to see about having my dentures relined. They said they do chairside relining took me to back and sat a long time with no one even checking on me Then finally the dr. came in looked at me then explained they only do a soft reline and it's temporary (if I would have known I wouldn't have gone there ) Then the doctor asked me about getting new ones I had said not interested not working at this time , just wanted a reline, he would not listen to me went to the person who handle the insurance and had them my insurance to get new dentures after I told at least 5 time I don't want new ones Finally after almost a hour the person that handled the phone call to my insurance came in I said look I'm not working at this time I do not want new dentures and finally they let me go To boot they charged my insurance for a office visit I would give them a 0 star if possible Lesson learned went even after spelling my name on the phone the person couldn't get it right that this place had problems

Negative experience: The customer service went downhill when Dr. Suher retired. We have been trying for 2.5 months to get a refund that insurance shows that we are owed. The office manager agrees we are owed this money. Still don't have it. We can call and messages are not passed on to the office manager. She claims she doesn't get the messages. Then take charge of your office! We need our refund and cannot in good conscience recommend this dental office. Look elsewhere if you are in need of a dentist.

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful practice. The hygienists are kind and patient - both with adults and children. My 3 and 6 year old love going to the dentist because of the care they receive here. They are thorough and take the time to explain things to adults (and children)! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I recommend Elite Dentisty to all my friends and family! They are extremely empathetic to my needs as well as understanding. I relocated and missed some appointments but they picked right back up with the brilliant care they offer as we never missed a beat. Very friendly and warm. If you're not a patient I would highly recommend Elite. Sam and Dr. Hudson, I can't thank you enough!

Fantastic experience: Everyone who works here is always nice and helpful and thinks outside of the box to help those without dental insurance by offering a plan that is $149 a year and will give the patients who pay cash the ability to pay a discounted rate as if they actually had a dental plan! It saved me $2700!

Negative experience: l used to go to this location when it was privately owned and they had the best staff. after covid and pairing with elite dental l call and leave messages to speak to staff and no one ever has called me back. sadly this is why l had to find a new dentist.

Negative experience: Dentist was informative and kind. Although my teeth were not cleaned which I found odd. Also at the start of my visit a staff member was insulting me. I will not be returning due to the staff members unethical behavior

Positive experience: I went in. Everyone was very nice and informative. Dentist was caring and informative. The only grievance when I was leaving they received my X-rays and the women made a comment that was embarrassing. Considering I was there for a serious issue. So I won’t be going back for that reason.

Fantastic experience: I did had a great experienced in Elite on my first visit the staff are friendly and very accommodating. The Doc is so kind to see and tell me exactly what is going on. And it is cost effective treatment other than other Dental office

Fantastic experience: Got me in very quickly and were able to remove the root canal I recently had done. One of the roots on the root canal didn’t take and was causing me an extreme amount of pain. They removed it and I am now pain free

Negative experience: I am looking for a new dental practice. From the front office to a few employees (incompetence and disrespect) is what I found there. That is a truthful and honest assessment of this this location. I have put up with this for the past two years, but now i am searhing for a new practice / dentist. Enough is enough. They need to close.this office.

Fantastic experience: Dawn my Hygienist was very thorough with my cleaning. She addressed the sensitivity I have and suggested I use sensitive toothpaste. Also the dentist and her addressed an area where I need a 3 unit lower bridge. I got an estimate for that to possibly be done at a later time. I really appreciate the dental team that helped with my visit. The front desk staff were very helpful.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient since 2010 beginning with Dr Suher. I’ve always had a pleasant experience with all the hygienist and the billing manager Leona. Since 2020 and the new practice under Elite, there have been billing discrepancies. Dr Lee did a bonding/ re- glue of a crown that came off and months later I was seen by hygienist for cleaning , both visits went well. On August 13,2023 went for a bonding of same tooth and was seen by Dr Buchi who was new but very knowledgeable. I was told the tooth was broken and it may not stay. I decided not to have anything done but discussed the next step should be a bridge, implant etc. Dr Buchi was took time to explain in detail. When I checked out I was asked for payment which I explained that nothing was done.I was scheduled for a consultation with Dr Susan Smith the specialist and then she would explain the best option.I received a treatment plan and estimate of future procedure. When I arrived to the appointment (sorry forgot date between aug14 and sept 14)which was upstairs from where I was normally seen. I walked and was told it would be $200 . I explained that I was not told I had to pay for consultation and i showed her a copy of my printed estimate . The $200 would not go toward the cost of procedure so i canceled my appointment immediately. I returned for my cleaning exam-on Sept 15 2023. All went well although I can’t remember the hygienist name to recommend her. In Spring of 2024, I had a dental emergency and visited a dentist office . When received that bill is when ai discovered I was charged for X-rays that I never received on August 14 the day I went in for a bonding of a crown. I went back to review charges from both my dental coverages. I’m sure Dr Buchi had to be paid for the time he spent talking with me but at no time did I get a X-ray .it is not required to glue a cap on which was not done either. I left with my tooth in my hand. I never had any billing issues with Dr Suhers office. Please check your EOB’s to verify the procedures and codes match the actual service. The surprise $200 consultation fee for a doctor in the same practice was the first red flag and the when I saw the charge for services not performed, was the final flag. I will not be returning to Elite Dental.

Negative experience: Called three times and sent messages via their webpage about an appointment. Scheduled an "UNCONFIRMED appointment from their webpage. Since I didn't hear back from the I cancelled the appointment. Finally heard finally heard back from them a week later with an email message which I could not open.

Negative experience: My wife had an appointment on Friday Feb 23. She was prescribed amoxicillin. Today, Tuesday Feb 27, she is still waiting for her prescription at Giant Eagle. We called many times explaining that they need to call the pharmacy instead of sending the request electronically. Since they changed their personal and Doctors, they are worse in customer care. We don’t recommend them.

Negative experience: Went here when it was under Dr.Suher and never had a problem. Once they switched ownership the quality of service switched too. I have placed several phone calls to people that don't know anything about their job or the company. Hard to get questions answered, phone calls returned or setup appointments. I would try another dentist if you could and avoid this one. UNPROFESSIONAL!

Fantastic experience: This place is WONDERFUL! Staff is friendly & efficient. Doctors are down to earth with their explanations but professional. I’m glad my son put me into this practice. Receiving good work so far on my teeth. Re-doing old fillings next week. I’m confident Dr. Lee will do an excellent job.

Negative experience: Absolutely nightmare. Miss communication constantly. Doctors give 2 different DX. Office staff saids procedures are covered by your insurance then you get a big fat bill. BC insurance didn’t cover the procedure. My 91 yr old mom went to follow up appointment they took her to another building walking her up a hill in pouring down rain. They gave her referral to go to a specialist and we stated if the doc in her plan. Reply yes yes. Waited 2 months to see specialist to find out the day before they didn’t except her ins. Total nightmare called to speak with office manager a week later no return call.

Negative experience: I left a review years ago about my horrible experience with Dr. Suher, but I am writing again to say avoid this place like the plague. I had an unnecessary root canal about 6 years ago and I am still suffering from it. The crown was placed horribly and there's a visible gap. Food and chewing gum get stuck in between my gum-line and crown. The entire side of my mouth where the crown is placed is bleeding. My gums bleed on their own (as in, I don't need to eat or floss for bleeding to occur), and I have gone to other dentists in the area and they refuse to correct this. This place is a scam and a waste of money/time. DO NOT believe these 5 star reviews. Nothing about this place was, is, or will ever be worthy of 5 stars. I've never dealt with such incompetence in my life.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy to be with Elite Dentistry in Monroeville. The staff, Dentist and assistants are fantastic. Yesterday was my first visit and I had full mouth X rays done and a full dental Exam. I am very impressed with how professional and caring this practice is. I look forward to my next visit with Elite Dentistry in the next 5 weeks.

Fantastic experience: Today was my second appointment at Elite and I was seen by Dawn. I was a little nervous about the procedure but without asking she explained the process in detail. It’s embarrassing to admit that I haven’t been flossing as much as I should, but Dawn was relatable and nonjudgmental. We talked about school, work, and our children. She was cautious of my pain tolerance when it came time to get started and offered to numb me preventatively or wait (I opted for beforehand lol). Before I knew it the procedure was over and I was headed out the door with a nice new toothbrush and 6 new toothpastes that she highly recommended. All in all, Elite dentistry is just that—ELITE. From the front desk staff to the dentists, everyone is kind, helpful, and communicative. I look forward to my 6-month check up!

Negative experience: Absolutely trash. I originally gave this place a great review, I could not have been more wrong. I have had horrible consequences, of the work they did. The hygienist was clearly under the influence and absolutely scratched and scarred up my mouth and gums….so severely that I actually stopped them mid procedure and demanded she no longer work on my teeth… which ultimately meant the dentist was not able to do the fillings as she should, so now I have excessive filling residue between my teeth and unevenly placed within my teeth so the sensitivity it insane. Leafy greens even give me pain to eat. Please do not go here.
