Fantastic experience: I came in to have two teeth extracted. I got in and out pretty quickly and the surgeon was amazing. Literally didn’t feel a thing (I’m typically hard to get numb) definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: I have not been to the dentist since the COVID shut down due to fear and trust. As soon as I stepped through the door I felt good energy. From the reception desk to the dentist, I felt I was in good hands. I asked questions and they were all answered authentically and with a smile. They listened to me. The lady who took the X-rays was awesome, the hygienist then came in and said all the number rating of my teeth and yes I need a deep cleaning . Then the dentist came in and explained everything to me and answered and was friendly with a professional swag. The ending was great by the man with the muscles and a great smile. The lady was cool also. I explained my insurance situation and he cleared up for me. Love the professionalism and the smiles and I will be back and appointments are set. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Great Expressions Dental in Midtown, and it couldn’t have gone better! From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The office was clean, well-organized, and my appointment started right on time—huge plus! My dental assistant was very thorough, and Dr. Malcolm took the time to clearly explain everything and answer all my questions without rushing. Negative experience: The front office staff does not seem to understand how to properly verify insurance. The day before my appointment, they called to tell me my insurance was inactive. I immediately contacted my insurance company, who confirmed that my plan was active and had just started this month. I called the office back, and the woman told me she would call the number on my card. When she called me back, she claimed she received a “reference number” and that my insurance was still inactive. When I asked for clarification, she became rude and said she “can’t keep going back and forth between patients and insurance.” I called my insurance company again, and they looked up the reference number she gave me; it did not come from them and there was no record of such call. They suggested a three-way call with the dentist office to clear things up. During that call, the office staff member actually yelled at the insurance representative, insisting she “knew what she was doing” and could not have called the wrong number. It was unreal. But she did call the wrong number. Since they couldn’t find me in their system, they performed a name lookup and pulled up an old, inactive plan of mine, not my current one. The incompetence and unprofessionalism were unbelievable, and the rudeness is consistent every time I interact with this office. I would rather pay out of pocket somewhere else than deal with this kind of behavior again.

Fantastic experience: Okay my Oral surgeon Dr. Jeremy Hadibe was great! I had an oral surgical extraction and have no pain, day two. I followed the post surgery instructions and am comfortable with using just Ibuprofen. I am able to eat as instructed with no issues! Thank you to Dr. Malcom who is very personable and aligned with my choice of a dental treatment plan. I appreciate the way the providers work together with my choice of treatment. Negative experience: Terrible! I do not recommend going here. I have had several issues with this dental office. Most recently I had a filling done earlier this year and I came back for cleaning where they discovered that the filling was done incorrectly. They said I would need to get it refilled. Since they were responsible for the mistake, you would think I would not be charged for correction. No not the case! They said I would still need to pay for it even though it was their fault. A similar situation happened with them before, where they tried to charge me for a mistake they made. It is ridiculous. Please don’t come here

Negative experience: The entire staff comes off as rude sort, inconsiderate impersonalities and entitled. They need to take a course in professionalism and customer appreciation. Saying thank you. Greeting patients with kindness and respect. They all act stank. I will not be giving them any more of my business. And would not have attempted to give them business if my crown installed at another location by the same company broke within a few years of install. They ordered the wrong color crowns that did not match the bridge I already had. Total disappointment time and time again multiple locations. They need to be out of business.

Fantastic experience: My visit with Dr. Moore and Jakarri was excellent! Dr. Moore explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Dr. Moore, was very thorough and knowledgeable. She was honest and gentle with her recommendations. She made me feel like I'm in good hands and no worries. Jakarri, was very patient and Pleasant. Fantastic experience: I was seen at Great Expressions Midtown location a few days ago. The front desk staff were great. I was having trouble finding their new location even with GPS. Steven Ragsdale stayed on the phone with me until I made it there. Mary Sterling was definitely equally helpful. The free parking was also much appreciated! I saw Dental Hygienist Gabrielle (Gabby) Toler. Her greatness is in part because she’s a Scorpio like me. We share the same November 17 Birthday! She’s very friendly, gentle and knowledgeable. She was also tactful and honest. I’ve been slacking on flossing and eating too many sweets. When I left the dental office, I immediately bought some floss and am back on track. The gums are agreeing that I’ve been neglecting caring for them. The bleeding is already subsiding. Negative experience: Want to have a tooth removed. At the consultation the doctor never even looked in my mouth. I have not been told the process for removal, if i need a driver, if i get pain meds, recovery. I dont know anything yet i am booked for removal. They were good at making me pay co pay, 97$ fee to book tooth removal. I have no written instructions of the plan. I mentioned possibility of dental implant and that seemed to be the doctor's focus. I miss old school dental offices. The office is pretty but the communication and patient education is lacking.

Negative experience: The staff was professional and polite and the facility was fairly nice. The issue I have is having an appointment to only talk for less than 15 minutes, only to schedule the needed biopsy a week later just to collect the $97 they make you sign a form for. If I'm here on Tuesday, why wouldn't you do the biopsy the same day versus leaving the patient to worry for another few weeks to pad pockets. It's no longer about health as it is about ways to get more money out of people....by the way, I had to pay in advance for the procedure appointment that they could have done that day.....BUT GOD! Then I get a TEXT a week later to call the office because it's important, so waiting on results I immediately begin to pray. Finally, get the nerve to call only to find out the biopsy HASN'T even been sent off because they FAILED to get my medical insurance. This was the most incompetent experience I've ever had in a professional setting. Thank God for good news of my health but the way this facility handled me was negligent, unprofessional, and litigation worthy!!!!

Negative experience: Violent charges! My wife Lauren and I was going to make an appointment but changed our minds. We have kids and the Fulton county website showed a family violence charge and a felony aggravated assault charge and he is practicing has me concerned and confused. Negative experience: I was referred to Great Expressions and scheduled with Dr. Sylvester Malcom. I always research providers before receiving care, and in doing so I found public records showing charges for family violence and felony aggravated assault. What concerned me most was that one of the records suggested the incident happened in front of children. I was honestly confused about how a medical professional could continue practicing with something like felony aggravated assault on record. Because of this, I do not feel comfortable being treated here and have chosen to go elsewhere. I encourage others to review official records themselves before making their own decision

Negative experience: The dental hygienist was very good and gentle. However, I had a terrible experience with the water used to clean my mouth — it seemed to have a very high concentration of chlorine, which caused a burning sensation in my mouth. Unfortunately, nobody seemed concerned or took the matter seriously when I mentioned it and only after second attempt the hygienist agreed it was bad and we shifted room.

Negative experience: The office is new and clean, but the Dentist/Surgeon we saw was negligent. My daughter was almost 1 month post-op from wisdom teeth extraction and she was still suffering from swelling and pain on one extraction site. We saw this office/doctor because our normal surgeon was on vacation. The doctor at the Mid-town location barely looked in her mouth and only prescribed basic antibiotics. No -x-rays or otherwise. The condition did not improve and a few days later, we saw another surgeon at a 3rd location who did what was necessary. The 3rd doctor drained/opened the extraction site and drained/removed the infected tissue, irrigated, and re-closed the gum. She had significant improvement the next day.

Negative experience: They moved to a different location and their new policy sucks. They have a 48 hr window to cancel or change an appointment. Mine fell on the weekend and i couldn't call until the Monday which was the day of. The receptionist said I should have just left a voice-mail over the weekend and when they come in on Monday to check they would have fixed it with no charge. Me calling on Monday vs them checking a voice-mail on Monday either way was a Monday. I'm done with this dentistry after all these years of being a client.

Negative experience: My dentist was switched AGAIN. This is the second time. It’s frustrating because I am never informed until they walk in. I wish communication was better about it. If someone leaves or if I have a new person for this visit that’s fine but I want to be notified. This isn’t the only time this has happened. This also happened years ago when they changed the hours. I used to go 7:30 AM and had an appointment one day and no one notified me that the hours changed. I came in and sat in the lobby until they opened. I had work after and was late. Big lack of communication multiple times. i am updating this on 8/8/2025: communication is still lacking. they moved locations but i was never notified. i went to my appointment today and i was confused when i did not see any lights or anything in the office. i was told they moved a few months ago. i was highly annoyed because when they called to confirm my appointment no one mentioned anything. when i brought it up today they said it was in the email for confirmation. that is not true. the email just says "Midtown, Georgia, Atlanta, 30308". no address listed! when i got there i once again had a new dentist. no one notified me once again. it's a shame because the staff is really nice and the care has been good. i just hate the unorganization and lack of communication.

Negative experience: The dental assistants were nice but the surgeon was rushing on my extractions because he was late to work. My appointment was at 8:30, he didn’t start until around 9:15. I was wasn’t given any information about my prescriptions when leaving but was advised it would be sent to my local pharmacy. It’s currently 4:08, I’ve called the office back twice, but the surgeon has yet to send my prescription to the pharmacy. Pretty inconvenient seeing that they close at 5 and don’t open again until Monday.

Negative experience: I made an appointment over the phone on a Wednesday for a Friday with no problems. When I was on the way to the appointment this morning, I called to let them know that I would not be 15 mins early as they suggested. They proceeded to tell me, I don't have an appointment because they are moving. I just want to exaggerate that they told me this ON THE WAY TO THE APPOINTMENT. They have my phone number, email, and permission to text me and I received no notification of this. Not to mention, did the receptionist not know yall were moving on Wednesday when they scheduled me. I will not be going here. I was looking for a new dental office, but it definitely will not be here. I took off of work for this. COMPLETELTY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Negative experience: Surgery consult appointment was great. In, out, quick and painless. Staff was great. Actual surgery appointment not so good. The staff was warm and friendly. My issue is after the actual appointment. I arrived 10 minutes before my 9am appointment. I came in to get 2 most extracted. 1 was crazy sideways and 1 had broken at the gum line. Didn't wait long to be called back. Dr didn't pre-numb the gums before shoving the needle into my mouth. Hurt like hell. Left me to let the novacaine set in for almost an hour. The assistant came in at about the half hour mark to let me know he was seeing 2 other patients at the same time as me! Wasn't fully numb and had to use another needle, that I could still feel the "little pinch". Teeth were extracted and the assistant gave me a little care packet She told me to take my pain meds after I had eaten by before the numb wore off. Told me to call the pharmacy ahead of time. My husband calls CVS and they don't have any scripts for me. He calls the dentist office and after being on hold and transfered he talked to the Dr's assistant. She actually said "well, the doctor usually sends those out at the end of day. I can ask him if he'll send hers soon" She got all snippy with him when he questioned their methods. "Why would you lie to your patients and let them suffer like that" My face and jaw hurt so bad right now (it's 3:50pm and pharmacy still has nothing for me) and nothing I can do about it. I'm not usually a review writer, but uh, yea. And please don't bother with the copy and paste reply over seen on other posts.

Negative experience: I really wanted to like this office because it's so convenient but I just can't. Arrived for my appointment only to wait 50 minutes before I was seen to be "put into the queue" only to go back out to wait. I'd understand if I was here to get something done but it was a simple consultation. A consultation that they were going to bill me for. I had to get my dental insurance involved to remind them that I am covered 100% for consults even if they are specialist consult. And front desk lady was a bit rude.

Negative experience: I have to admit the Dr. was very good because his work was painless but the front office staff was horrible. I waited over an hour trying to pay my deductible with Credit care, the reason was I had to wait for them to sign into the system that they promote so I paid with debit ,that was an hour I lost on parking causing the meter to run up after they informed me they no longer validate. Negative experience: In the last 3 years, I have seen a different dentist every time I came because each of them have left the practice. I've found the dentists to lack any compassion or sympathy for patients who are struggling and I don't find that to be acceptable anymore. If you suffer from TMJ pain, do not come here, they are not helpful. They also don't validate parking.

Negative experience: TL;DR: This corporate dentistry is designed to extract as much money as possible and don't actually care about patients or their teeth. They are, however, willing to see new patients in a timely manner. My experience with the actual dentist and assistants was satisfactory, but I don't like their corporate policies. You come here and pay a fortune for dental work, and they don't even validate parking. I came here for a crown after getting an emergency root canal last week at a dental urgent care clinic from a dentist who works at this office. Rather than give me the crown I need, they gave me a full comprehensive exam with x-rays and a cleaning. I still need the crown, which was not mentioned when scheduling my follow-up appointment.. It seems that before they'll give me the crown, they're making sure they can get every nickel and dime they can from me, since my next appointment is for 3 fillings and not the crown I asked for. I'm guessing after that, they're gonna want to take out my wisdom teeth; then maybe finally after that, give me the one thing I came for in the first place. Do you see how this looks? I don't have that Midtown money. I need a crown. Granted, i was long overdue for a checkup and cleaning, I do need fillings, and it would be best to extract my wisdom teeth; however, I'd rather be given the option to cut to the chase without feeling like my wallet is being ripped out of my rear end. My need of a timely procedure has me bent over a barrel, it seems. I need a crown. Staff is efficient and technically competent, but uncaring and impersonal. To them I am just another wallet with a mouth, apparently.. My appointment was punctual, quick, and physically painless. I was impressed with how promptly they scheduled me as a new patient, when other practices had at least a two-week wait. I liked the dentist, Dr. Hassan Marwan. He was friendly, professional, and proficient; and he at least remembered me from the urgent care place. I don't hold him personally responsible for how the practice is being run-- he merely works there, after all. UPDATE: I still need a crown.. My second appointment with this conglomerate was as prompt, punctual, quick, and physically painless as the first one; HOWEVER: The receptionist asked me for the same information twice in a row (ID and insurance info) and didn't remember me or seem aware that I had already given that info online during pre-check-in. He couldn't answer why they don't validate parking, and he didn't care because he doesn't have to pay for parking himself. The man would hardly even look at me. He was very cold and apathetic, and I didn't like him. The dentist gave me the three fillings I needed, then sent me on my way WITHOUT A TEMPORARY CROWN OR ANY MENTION OF A FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT TO HAVE A CROWN INSTALLED. They got their money and hung me out to dry, it seems. I literally had to walk back into the office and REMIND THEM to schedule a follow-up appointment for the crown. They scheduled me for April 10, which means for the next month I'm stuck with half a tooth and forced to chew with one side of my mouth. I need a crown. Are you willing to trust this company with your well-being? I still need a crown. UPDATE: Wow, they are really milking this thing.. After a month of chewing on one side of my mouth, they fitted me with a temporary crown and a cap for an adjacent tooth, which had not been discussed until now. When checking in, the receptionist presented me with one estimate, and then with a more expensive one, because apparently there was some mistake with the pricing. Like the first one wasn't already a huge gut punch to the wallet. I will say one thing: this company is punctual. If they say your appointment is at 9:00 am, you are in that chair and ready to start by 9:02, and they get right to work. Today was no different, in that regard. But still, I have to come back in three weeks for the permanent crown. I've never needed four appointments for one lousy crown in my life.

Negative experience: I called two times on 4/4/25 about starting new dental service. I was left on hold both times for over 20 minutes by a guy name steve. The first time was 20 minutes and then the phone hung up while waiting, the second time i was left on hold for 23 minutes. I have been a patient at another great expressions location and they have always given me excellent customer service, this is a disappointment because of this i will have to find a different dentist office. I definitely would not recommend this location because of the terrible customer service.

Positive experience: This was my second visit to GE dentist. The staff was nice and friendly. I was there to get a crown for a broken tooth. They took me back quickly. The anesthesia was given to me. I sat there approximately 20-30 minutes dentist came back .My then the anesthesia was wearing off. The procedure became a nightmare.!!! They were so rough that the whole left side was very swollen If that wasn’t enough the left of my was bruise!!!

Negative experience: Update to my review 03/06/25, original 2 months ago. I still can't believe I'm yet again getting another bill from this office. You would have thought I got a root canal or something. Whoever is in charge of billing here does not know what they are doing. I went in for my yearly cleaning. Front desk terrible, my hygienist and dentist were actually good and professional. You have to pay for parking and that all depends on how long your appt is. Hopefully whoever does billing codes your appt correctly.

Negative experience: Never, and I mean never, go to this dentist. The most uncompromising, inconsiderate dental office I’ve had to deal with. For weeks I’ve been trying to resolve an insurance dispute with them and they have turned to not answering or returning my calls. Instead they tell me the office insurance claims manager is “out sick” and that they will call me back with in the week. This has been going on since December. Today they sent me to voicemail multiple times and then had the gall to send me another bill via text. I’m in disbelief. Very frustrated with my visit. I had never been to Great Expressions before but decided to try since it seemed to have a good rating. I was scheduled to see a periodontist in October but they had to cancel it last min. and rescheduled me for just over a month later in November. But that didn’t really bug me until my appointment today. I had some trouble finding the entrance and bike parking (Google maps shows the entrance on 10th St. when it’s actually behind the building) and checked in exactly 10 min. late. I sit in the waiting room for 1.5 hours (asking once about the wait after an hour) only for them to take my x-rays, make me sit in the waiting room for another 10 or so min. Then, they call me up to say they have to reschedule me again because I was over 10 min. late. I understand the need for punctuality but given it was my first visit, the difficulty finding the office, and still only being 10 min late (not 15, not 20) I thought there wouldn't be an issue. Nowhere did I see this check-in policy online, stated in any appointment confirmation email or text, nor was it told to me when I actually checked in. Moreover, I was told they tried to call me around my appointment time but I never received a call and have no missed calls in my inbox. Having to schedule an appointment like this during the work week is hard enough and for them to take so much of my time only to ask me to come back again in a month feels very inconsiderate.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first tooth extraction in years here, and the entire process was so smooth and painless! Dr. Malcolm and the female dentist who worked alongside him (wish I knew her name) were super caring throughout the procedure, and they were very clear experts at their profession. I can't believe I was initially afraid to get my procedure done, as that fear was definitely in vain With this location being close to where I live, I will gladly make it my home dentist. Negative experience: My review was so long, Google said I used all the characters. That’s how awful this office is! READ THEIR REVIEWS ON EVERY PLATFORM!!! I have surgery with them in the morning and as much as they neglected my care thus far, I’m not putting another dime in his pocket or my life in his hands. I was “treated” by Dr. Jeremy Hadibe. He talked abt himself the entire time on MY CONSULTATION TIME and his staff is rude as hell. Avoid this company period.

Negative experience: Not blaming any specific staff but everything about this dentistry is sus. 1) If you’re a new patient, they will force an x ray even if your insurance doesn’t cover it. 2) The first appointment is only X-ray then the cleaning is separate. So you have to schedule a different appointment instead of doing it all the same appointment. Waste of time! 3) They do not validate parking and appointments always run late because they’re not organized. My X-ray appointment took 2 hours! 4) They do not tell you the cost of certain things before offering it such as fluoride ($54!). 5) After my X-ray, the dentist didn’t even see me. It wasn’t until I requested the dentist to review the X-ray and look at my teeth during the cleaning appointment 6) Despite all that, the front office staff and hygienists were all very nice. Would not recommend going here!

Negative experience: Usually this place is okay but I had a cleaning done today by Eric and it was the worse. He rushed through the entire procedure and did not touch the back teeth at all. When asked to do it he did it so quickly and barely touched the back teeth on my left side and did not bother to clean those on the right. I darn near drowned in water for he did not use the suction throughout the procedure, he just let it hand around in my mouth. Eric is a horrible hygienist and should be fired. This cleaning was a waste of time and money. Great expressions, please do better!!!!! If you go here, please tell them you do not want Eric to perform your cleaning. There may be several Eric’s so I would like to call out that he is a short, Asian hygienist with a bad attitude!!!!!

Negative experience: Receptionist was so helpful, even more than the dentist I saw… after a long wait, I had rushed service. (The providers seemed unprepared. I wasn’t even offered a spit cup after they rinsed my teeth..) I was given a misdiagnosis on the status on my teeth/gums (that had an of course, expensive treatment plan). Thank goodness I got a second opinion at my now dentist that confirmed this was not the case. I’m giving 2 stars because again the woman up front was so kind and helpful.

My mother had a question regarding payment and the front desk lady was so rude telling my mother that “it’s going to be a minute” my mom proceeds to stand there patiently and the lady nastily says “ I said imma be a minute”. The nerve of this lady. Where is the hospitality these days. I say this to say we will NOT be doing business with Great Expression due to the front of the houses nasty behavior. Great Expression please vet your front desk ladies 1st impressions are everything.

Fantastic experience: Appointments are timely both in making them and time between your arrival and from the time you're called into the office. All tec's are friendly including the doctor by always being accommodating and making feel comfortable.

Negative experience: If they do not cover parking I will not be back. Building is beautiful but there are other options.

Negative experience: It’s hard to express how disappointed I am with my recent visit to the Great Expressions in Midtown ATL. I went in on a Thursday morning to have some gum pain looked at. The Dr. determined there was an infection and a root canal would have to be done. In the meantime, he said he would prescribe me an anabiotic to heal the infection. All day went by without a notice from my pharmacy and so I followed up Friday morning with the dentist office. They told me they would look into it. Then all of a sudden I get a call from my pharmacy telling me a prescription for acetaminophen ibuprofen was sent in by a Dr. I didn’t recognize. When I followed up with the dental office, they told me that the original doctor never sent the prescription in and that the pain meds were just to hold me over the weekend. I expressed that this was unacceptable and that the doctor on site needed to prescribe me the anabiotic so I wasn’t dealing with an infection all weekend that was affecting my physical health and hurt to even eat food. They refused to write this prescription and now it’s Monday and it still hasn’t been sent in. This is a huge failure of this practice and I would not recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: Great experience from the entire team since I stepped foot in the office for the consultation. Besides the GE Hapeville location this is the best experience I have had since being in Atlanta for 10 years. I was in and out for an extraction. This visit was convenient and everyone was professional.

Positive experience: Unnecessary consultation. All my records are on file. I took off from work and went through Atlanta traffic for 20 min appointment. I have to take off and battle traffic for treatment. I can't afford to take off twice in one month. The consultation and treatment should have been done at the same time. Respect for everyone's time.
