Fantastic experience: They got me in very quickly when my crown came loose. Got it put back on in no time. (They did not put this crown on originally) I highly recommend Hollywood Park Dental, they are true professionals.

My preference to her & the dental office is without a doubt because out of all other dental offices in my location in the Alamo Ranch area I choose to travel the distance to the Hollywood area in Stone Oak despite all the ongoing construction on 1604.

Positive experience: The desk staff didn’t provide the information request, patient information, till it was past my appointment time. Thus delaying my appointment, and Susan’s next appointment. The desk staff also added to the delay with insurance confusion.

Negative experience: SCAM CLINIC!! I came in for consultation and possible wisdom teeth removal, they did the exam and their AI for X-ray scans found 3 cavities they wanted to drill and oh, they don’t have oral surgeons so they couldn’t do wisdom teeth removal.. I went to two other clinics and NOBODY FOUND ANY CAVITIES they just wanted to drill my healthy teeth to rip off some extra money!! SHAME!!! and they made me feel terrible about me needing the professional cleaning saying like oh your teeth are in terrible condition but it’s all your fault you probably didn’t floss well, yeah I really needed that cleaning and I did at the other place where they didn’t look at me like I’m trash… DO NOT COME THERE!!!

Monica, whom I believe is the office manager is always good about working with me on the financial end of things. 10/10 would and have recommended to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Moorehead has been my dentist for well over 10 years now. He is such such great human and good at what he does. He carefully selects the rest of his team and its evident. They are all cheerful, friendly and compassionate. I moved to Austin some years ago but I still drive down to San Antonio for all my dental care. Hes not ever allowed to retire! Also, Renee has been cleaning my teeth for more than 20 years and I won't go to anyone else. I highly recommend this dental practice!

Fantastic experience: Everything about this office is 5/5 stars. The staff at the front desk were polite and helpful. Dr. Merrett had gentle hands and made sure I was ok throughout the procedure. Annette, the assistant, was very kind and patient with me as I was in pain and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The office also ran smoothly as I waited about 1 minute, after arriving, before being called back and then within minutes I was being anesthetized. This speaks to the leadership of the office manager, Monica, and her commitment to making sure everything is moving accordingly. Can’t recommend this office enough.

Negative experience: Edit 2 - Response to the Office: It doesn't mean anything if you don't follow up with me. I've reached out to both the office and the Dr directly this week with no response. It took me even weeks to get ahold of anyone a month ago when I first tried to inquire. You have my phone number and email. You can call me or email me back if you truly care about trying to make this right. Edit 1: I have also reached out to both the office and Dr. Morehead personally, no response from anyone. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone if you experience any issues like this. I had wisdom tooth removal surgery with Dr. Morehead in March of 2019. I suffered lingual nerve injury and a nasty infection post-surgery that completely offset my day to day life and caused so much suffering. My first mistake was not doing my own research and consulting with an actual oral surgeon, as Dr. Morehead has a DDS in general dentistry. 5 years and 7 months later, I still cannot feel the left side of my tongue. I consulted an oral surgeon who specializes in nerve regeneration/repair and they let me know before they could even see me that there was nothing they could do because it had been too long since the injury. What an emotional rollercoaster this has been. If I had been informed to see an oral surgeon sooner, I would have. I only had one follow up appointment after the procedure and the doctor said it would come back. It never did. They will not advocate for you. Do not make the same mistake I did. Consult an oral surgeon elsewhere for your wisdom teeth removal.

Negative experience: If there’s a way to give 0/5 star, that’s what this place deserves. I booked an appointment early September and I was scheduled for end of October. When I arrived my appointment for cleaning, they didn’t even have me on their schedule. Please don’t waste your time going here. Take your money somewhere else! They have zero service. The worst mistake of today, to think I waited almost two months! Horrible!!!!!

Positive experience: I really like the dentist Emily Walton but didn’t care for the hygienist that I had this time. I will be back but I will choose a different hygienist next time. She poked me and instead saying sorry or I will try to be more careful she replies that it’s the instruments. Overall, the office is good.

Negative experience: I am at the parking lot in shock and unable to drive on how deceptive Dr. Wong got me to believe “Let me see what I can do” after I perfectly stated what I want to accomplish by agreeing to pay more. She could just said from the beginning “ I just going to fix the chipping” they looked so much bigger on the left side that from my right side. Deceptive it’s an understatement!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a Dental Team that is Caring and Gentle, Hollywood Park Dental is the place to go. I just had 2 Crowns and a replacement filling done and Renee is so thorough with her "cleaning", just love her and for the work, Annette is the Best Dental Assistant! She places her hand on your shoulder, just to let you know she is there, comforting you. Dr. Walton is AMAZING, always making sure the patient is comfortable after numbing the area to be worked on. All starts at the front desk from scheduling to billing Monica and Brenda are so approachable and welcoming. Patient for life! Never thought I would love a DENTIST OFFICE. It's all about the people that show love to their patients! Thank you, Dr. Walton, Renee, Annette, Monica and Brenda!

They are also always so wonderful about sharing advice about how I can improve my teeth and gum health. Also, it’s rare that I ever have to wait very long to be seen. Fantastic experience: I had to have oral surgery with sedation, I was very nervous about the procedure and sedation meds but the staff reassured me that they were taking great care of me. Thank you for answering my 50 questions and making me feel comfortable and heard!

Negative experience: This was a waste of time to go to this visit for an eval for my quadriplegic son. From the very first person i talked with to make the appt, every person knew of his severe disabilities. The first lady asked to speak with him when making the appt. I explained this to every person, ‘ He can’t speak, he can’t walk talk sit up, do anything by himself. I am his legal guardian and mother..’. At that moment, I mentioned it to her that he will need sedation to get his teeth cleaned, but that this was only an evaluation visit not the actual cleaning . Also DSSW would be paying the bill for the eval. In a heat advisory, we took him there. He cannot control his bites and teeth grinding. I warned the hygeinist, and offered to hold a bite block for them to do what they needed to do, but she refused and got her finger in there and he bit her finger.. They could not do the xrays because of him biting down on their equipment. The doctor was called in and he said exrays would have to be done under sedation at the time of cleaning for his safety. I said i would make a second appt to get the sedation scheduled. He said their doctor that does that is only there one day a month. I told him i understood and would make the appt on that day he would be there. The hygeineist whispered something to the lady at the front desk. The front desk lady then gave me the number of another dentist and said they do not sedate special needs people any longer. The doctor doing the sedation stopped sedating special needs people a while back. I was so upset!!!’ I asked, ‘Then why am i even here? Why did you even make this appt for him? Every person i spoke to on the phone knew of all his disabilities and knew of the sedation that will be needed at the time of cleaning. You should not bill anything for this visit!! NOTHING was done and we were misled. Even the doctor acted as though i could come back when the sedation doctor is there once a month. Meanwhile, my husband and the rest of my family were in the car overheating waiting on this long,, useless, wasted visit. It was so bad he had to go return our vehicle home and get another vehicle because of the extreme heat outside was overheating our van. Thus it cost us gas for a second 50 mile round-trip. I think the hygienist whispered to her that they didn’t want to do Jacob because he bit her. I think the sedation doctor sedates anyone that needs it and they just use that as an excuse to send me somewhere else. I can’t believe you people would do that kind of thing to such a sweet, helpless child.
