They were so kind and did an excellent job! I didn't feel a thing having a root canal. I had a particularly difficult tooth. It was fixed perfectly. Fantastic experience: My whole opinion of a root canal was forever changed after this visit. I was referred to the office from my normal dental office for a root canal. I was originally so frustrated I had to wait over two months to get in for care. After my experiences today I would have waited another two months. The building was beautiful. The office staff was welcoming, friendly, compassionate. The doctor was great. I can’t recommend this office enough. Or wait to get back to my dentist to tell her about the great care I received. My appointment was said and done in 45 minutes. I am just overwhelmed with how well the whole experience went. Thank you.

Dr. Peek retreated a root canal done by another dentist for me and made the entire preocedure so quick and easy. Danielle, his assistant, was an absolute LIGHT and is the very BEST kind of person to work in a dental/doctor/hospital setting in which one may be coming in a bit nervous. She is so kind, easygoing, funny and really just provides a calming presence from the very start. Dr. Peek is so knowledgeable and highly skilled and efficent at what he does while also managing to have a very "normal", fun, easy to talk to vibe about him that you wouldnt commonly find in someone with his success/accolades etc. You really feel like you are right at home here, as much as you can in a dental office haha. The dental chair is even comfortable! I will refer anyone I can to Eastern Iowa Endodontics and will only be using their services in the future!

Negative experience: They might be great, I’m not sure, I couldn’t get past the insane rudeness of their receptionist. The least helpful and most condescending person on the planet is in charge of setting appointments and answering questions? No thanks, plenty of other options in Cedar Rapids.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Eastern Iowa Endodontics by my general dentist I work for. I needed a retreatment on a Root Canal that was done 10+ years ago in Dubuque. The office was so clean, the staff was also super friendly. Now being a dental assistant myself, I love dentistry but hate being the patient. Dr. & his assistant made me absolutely so comfortable. I brought in a blanket and was able to use it. I got a cool pair of sunglasses too for the ride home. Thank you again & I will continue to recommend!

Fantastic experience: As soon as you walk into the office you can catch a vibe. The ladies at reception were willing to answer my questions to the extent possible about my procedure. Dr. Peek’s has an excellent assistant in Danyelle. She was also a vibe, down to the footwear. She explained the procedure further, validated my anxious feelings and reassured me that this root canal would not be at all similar to the one I had before…she was 200% correct! Dr. Peek was also a vibe, down to the footwear. He’s one of two doctors in the entire state willing to help people with Medicaid. Everyone in that office has the value of helping people, regardless of race, class, or gender. I asked for a job as an office assistant afterwards I was so impressed with these wonderful people! Iowa Endodontics saved my tooth, eased my mind, and made me feel very well cared for and about. I don’t want to go back because I hate the dentist, but if they provided comprehensive care, Dr. Peek’s office would be my dentist office!!

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend. I went into this with immense anxiety because I’m not a huge fan of the dentist because of the shots more than anything. Which I didn’t even feel except for a slight poke in the beginning. I had never experienced a root canal and all I heard was how much they sucked to get done. Let’s just say I ended up starting to fall asleep. Staff calmed my anxiety and sat and talked to me until doc came in. He was quick and very good at what he does. Give this man a raise! He then gave me a high five and was super wonderful as well with reassurance. One of the best dental experiences ever. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I didn't know what to expect when I needed a root canal! The staff and Eastern Iowa Endodontics and Dr. Peek were top notch. They were vary accommodating and communicated everything very well so that I knew what to expect through the entire process. I had a few questions and Dr. Peek listened and took time to understand my concerns and address them. I didn't feel like just another number, I felt like they cared.

Negative experience: Office staff were fine. Dr. Peek left something to be desired while doing the root canal. He was not gentle or compassionate, was extremely brutal when injecting the anesthetic, no topical used. The pain I experienced after was from the jabs into my upper jaw and palette. They also told me I could eat whatever I wanted, which I knew was not entirely true, until healing took place. Do not recommend.

I chose Eastern Iowa Endodontics because they were in my insurance network. Upon entering their office, the receptionists were kind and friendly, and my wait time was minimal. Cindy and Dr. Peek were amazing. If you are looking for an honest doctor to care for your dental needs, I encourage you to check out this clinic. Dr. Peek did his own tests and determined that I did NOT need a root canal as specified by my dentist. I'm very grateful for his honest approach to medicine/dentistry and his knowledge and care.

Fantastic experience: I went to EIE to have a root canal done. A primary reason that I chose EIE was because they accepted my dental insurance. I had discovered that other endodontists in the area did not accept my dental insurance. Dr. Peek and the entire staff at EIE were fantastic. They were all friendly and professional. Dr. Peek explained the procedure and performed the root canal quickly. I am very satisfied with the quality of care that I received at EIE and would definitely go back there should the need arise. Fantastic experience: I’ve always struggled with my oral hygiene, so going to the dentist has always been very stressful and shameful. Tessa was so kind and reassuring throughout the entire process, she even talked me through a panic attack. She absolutely went above and beyond, and she made sure to kindly answer any questions I had. She even told me that my teeth aren’t nearly as bad as I’d thought, and that was a huge relief to me and meant so much more than I think she’ll ever realize. For some people, the dentist is just routine check ups, but for people like me, it can be a huge task that causes a lot of anxiety. Tessa has certainly helped me immensely, and I have no doubt that she’s this kind and respectful to everyone she meets at work! I know this is long winded, but it’s just to say that if you struggle with your teeth like me, this is absolutely the place to be. Not once did I feel judged or less than, just human. Positive experience: Service at the actual office was AMAZING-- This is a review for what has happened afterwards. All of their emails because they came through a business email went straight to my promotional inbox through outlook, any texts for contacts that aren't saved go straight to my spam folder in my phone. Also when I did see their *final notice email*, my account number was nowhere to be found which was required to pay online, forcing me to call the office with the number you provided in the text 319 382 8985 which does NOT ring through and just gives a busy tone. Who ever I talked to in the office seemed short with me after I googled for the number, Providing phone numbers that don't work, emails for accounts without the account number that is required for payment. Seems like a perfect storm for non-payment. I'm glad I caught this email in the land of 5 thousand other ones. I was told at the time of service my 300 dollar payment then was all to cover it, obviously I understand insurance isn't everything and there are still additional expenses. Unfortunately emails and text messages get lost in the cracks of daily life, a physical statement with my actual account number on it would have been helpful as I have no physical bill from their office. I would recommend services here expecially for an emergent service but pay super close attention to billing.

I received a detailed estimate before the appointment explaining charging, my “dental assistant” was kind, approachable, explained procedures for the X-rays, clearly explained each step of the root canal that I had. Dr. Peek reviewed my X-rays, sat down with me and explained the issues, gave me all the options and what he recommended. I felt he was very knowledgeable about the situation and also wanted the most cost effective solution he could provide. Everything was easy, smooth, and I appreciate that! Fantastic experience: Dr Peek and his support staff are top notch! Getting a root canal was a fraction of what I was expecting! The only pain I experienced was the shot for the local anesthetic which is quick as a pinch, and the whole procedure was over before I knew it! I live 50 minutes from the clinic and I was able to drive home afterwords. The clear communications on what to expect post procedure were exactly as they told me! I don't hope for another root canal but if I ever need another one I will definitely return to Eastern Iowa Endontics!

Fantastic experience: I have gone here for two root canal appointments now, one in December and one the end of January. This office is amazing and the Dentist and dental assistants are also great! The wait has never been long and these people are great at what they do! Never having had a root canal before but hearing how horrible they are I didn’t know what to expect. After the first appointment I was at ease as it went really smoothly, all of my questions were answered with great explanations and it’s definitely obvious they want you to have a comfortable, pain free experience while also getting any knowledge you want about the process! I was greeted warmly and barely sat down in waiting room and I was called back. Tess took me back to my chair and explained everything in detail on what to expect. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Peek because my son (an adult with disabilities) was urgently in need of an endodontist who accepts Medicaid. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk staff and the office was neat and modern. Danielle was assisting Dr. Peek and she was wonderful! Dr Peek has a relaxed but confident energy. My son’s case had a few complicating factors which Dr. Peek was very thorough in assessing and explaining. He answered all of my questions and allowed me the time I needed to decide between the two potential treatment options. He proceeded to perform a root canal on my son which proved to be a very successful procedure despite the degree of infection and my son’s limited ability to open his mouth. Danielle continued to be encouraging and supportive to my son while flawlessly assisting Dr.Peek. My son is feeling so much better now and I was very pleased with the care received!
