Fantastic experience: Im the biggest baby when it comes to the dentist and I was very pleasantly surprised by the service at Comfort care. Colette was the sweetest and most thorough dental hyginenst I've ever met. I was borderline tears just walking back and she was cheerful, funny, joking and helped me calm down so much I was actually laughing by the end. I hadnt been to the dentist in 3 years because of how much I hate it and now I won't wait so long in between.

Fantastic experience: I had to switch from the dentist i was seeing to comfort care and it was a really easy transition, not only did they make it really easy but they made it comfortable and any questions i had they answered it was just really seem less and very easy transition, i prefer to be seen by one person and they didn’t make me feel bad about me asking if that was OK but been very informative and very helpful and help me maximize my dental insurance. Just a really comfortable place and would recommend for anybody.

Fantastic experience: It’s so strange to say, but I enjoy my visits to Comfort Care Dental. I was very anxious my first visit as I was a consult for having wisdom teeth removed as an adult. Dr. Harper gave great insight and helped me make an educated decision. The procedure was flawless, painless. I healed so well. I’ve gone back to the office for cleanings and I feel I could stay and chat with my hygienist for hours. I’ve always dreaded the dentist but I am already looking forward to my next appointment. Thankful for the environment and peace of mind this office provides.

Negative experience: I found this place bc of severe medical/dental trauma looking for a place to be put to sleep for cleaning and fills. Doctors and nurses at my first visit were amazing. However apparently didn’t listen to a word I said. After agreeing to IV sedation I was informed the morning of (after taking the pre appointment pill to make you loopy) that it wasn’t full sedation and that cost $1500. I don’t do well with anything else and have been sent home from drs in the past bc of how I act. I would’ve gladly waited and paid the $1500 had I been in my right mind. I remember informing them of that and being asked “well what hurts” in regards to if the cleaning, fills or wisdom tooth removal was the most important I assume ? Nothing hurt I was being proactive. I had stated MULTIPLE times while sober that the wisdom tooth was the least of my concerns. I came home with the tooth in a bag bc I was insisting I kept it apparently? I meant in my mouth. I spent $2500 for fills and a wisdom tooth removal, was refunded for the cleaning. Funny the $130 procedure was the one that couldn’t be done. My trauma has had me waking up sobbing and triggered all of my old nightmares on top of adding to it and reminding me why I spent so many years refusing to be put to sleep. I wouldn’t bother writing this review for a normal dentist office but one claiming to cater specifically to people with dental fears/traumas, I wish I’d read this before coming. The first visit the dentist and nurse were very kind, I wouldn’t write off the whole office but if your issues are deep rooted bring a strong stern advocate.

Fantastic experience: I called having some pain & feared of an infection. I was advised to come right over. I was in, out, diagnosed & scheduled for a procedure, in less than 45 minutes. The prompt care I received excelled my expectations! Love the friendly staff & adore all of the Dental providers!! (Even if i don't like Dentists haha)

Positive experience: Very friendly and courteous staff. Makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience.

Negative experience: 8 am appointment. Was seen at 8:14. They let us know they didn't think they would have time for the planned work . #1 that makes me feel uneasy. Would they be rushing to get the things done? I had called 2x to double check that the work had been scheduled. It had. Everything seemed in order. Cavities and a few other things. They had a different dr than what was on the paper. He wasn't in network the last time we had communicated with the insurance. Their people didn't know if he was good for our plan. I called insurance. Took 3 minutes got the answer and moved on. Kid is already numb 8:45. I say go ahead. He disappeared. Tmj issues are a big deal and treating for years. Trying to not mess up all the tmj work that has been done, the Dr's has asked us to please try and take mini breaks at points that don't require a mouth to remain open. So that should be easy enough. Just say ok you can close, get your tools ready, and then back on to the work. At certin points, they will need to stay open totally on board. The nurse says that we should consider going to the Hospital for Sedation to do the fillings. !That would be terribly traumatic! We put down that we were a little bit nervous about the whole dentist thing. The whole reason to come to comfort care is to have the extra care because of how difficult it is for tmj patients and how scary dentistry can be. It literally says that they are supposed to be really great! Feeling like they don't want to try to do the work. And getting brushed off. They try the bite thing and it is painful. We asked can the patient just open mouth. That thing hurts the tmj jaw. They then got a 2nd nurse to inform us they ran out of time. Kid is numb! No work done. Maybe you could try to come back at 11:30, this is at 9:18 now this has been taking forever, and its clear they don't want us. So frustrated. I ask what on earth, this is scheduled why is this happening. They blame the office staff. Then the nurses ask what do we expect from this appointment. I say what we had called about the 3 cavities. They start saying how there's no time now. And it wasn't scheduled correctly for that in the first place. None of these things are my fault. I called 2x to double check that we had everything scheduled. It was confirmed. That is when the original dentist we had planned to see finally comes in. And he is so nice. He says patient can just open the mouth, understands the bite guard is too large for the kid. He gets 2 cavities done. Not the 3. We also had a gum Lazer thing scheduled it was on the bill with the cavities so it was known. He said that we should wait on that. And nurse told me that i should ask for a certain person when making appointments. So i can get the correct amount of time scheduled out for all of our work since the lazer thing will be at least 90 minutes. Are you kidding me! Why should i need to seek a special person just to make an appointment. go to pay. Its more than whats listed over a hundred for 2 cavities. I point out the cavities are $28.60 and $21.60 as its listed on the paper bill they handed me. Totaled $50.20. They then say theres more to pay. But they don't know why. ! We left around 10am. Was texted while driving home that they think its for a deductible on fillings. This has been a horrible experience. The dentist was nice, but the staff did not meet our expectations. The expectations being kind and gentle knowlegable service. We did not receive that! * Waiting and being left alone in the room for long periods of time is nerve-wracking * being told from the start of the 8am appointment that they don't know if they have time for us. I don't like the suggestion of getting Sedation work AT THE HOSPITAL, as the kid can and has been able to get normal treatments. That could have been discussed better, with tact. not after the numbing! Just wanted a dr that understands tmj and is willing to work with us. We were polite. Even thanked them. so incredibly mad that this happened.

Positive experience: I have had great experiences with Dr. Cannon and his dental team. I would give him 5 stars or more. I highly recommend him as a dentist to anyone. However, my only complaint is their billing and finance department. 1. I am currently on my parents insurance and they also have Aflac. My mom had called them with the Aflac information. When I got done with my appointment I asked if they spoke with my mom and got the Aflac information. They said yes. At my next appointment they said they didn't have my information and were unaware I also had Aflac on top of my insurance. I am currently filing my own claims through Aflac... 2. I've had to get several crowns replaced and they have had different prices for 2 of my 3 crowns so far. As a result, it would have to pay a little bit more than 800 dollars extra out of pocket for 2 of my 3 crowns. I've called their office and asked about it. The person on the phone was very informative and gave me a reason why it happened but didn't say anything like they will revise what I owe because they were charging their price for 2 crowns and 1 price that they have to honor through my insurance.

Negative experience: The pricing of this place is insane. I’ve had discomfort with a tooth for over a year, I knew I needed a crown but I didn’t have insurance. I’ve been in pain for a couple months now and they want $600 down, with 3 more payments afterwards. When I was told originally I needed a crown it was under a thousand but now that I have insurance I’m paying more. I literally called and said I needed to cancel because I can’t afford it. When I went in to have it checked they said the tooth was crack and the doctor could “empathize”. I’m literally losing sleep. It’s 1am as I write this cause I can’t sleep since it hurts. The assistant also didn’t believe me when I said I have an auxiliary nerve and I requested a specific doctor because he was supposed to be good at doing it but she went ahead and just did it. So when the doctor went to pull my tooth I wasn’t numb at all. I felt him rip it out. I was horribly embarrassed by screaming. But more to the point I’m rather shocked they still wanted me to pay for the removal after their negligence. I haven’t even really tried to get the implant itself put in because of it. 4k more dollars so they can be negligent and cause me agonizing pain again? Mmm no thanks

Fantastic experience: I recently went to Comfort Care Dental to have two small wisdom teeth removed. The lobby is gorgeous and makes you feel like you are walking into a nice home. I was first helped by an assistant named Freeman. He was so patient and kind throughout the whole process. He made sure that I was comfortable while getting my X-rays done and while I was sitting in the chair. He offered me a neck pillow and even a blanket to help make sure I was comfortable. It really helped. I started to get anxious and overwhelmed waiting for the procedure and Freeman was there to ask me what was wrong and what he can do to help. He made sure I was comfortable with the laughing gas and continued to offer any clarification and hope if I needed it to help me not be so scared. 11/10 service! The procedure went by faster than expected and I was told what I needed to do to help me heal and take care of my post care wounds. A great place to go for your dental needs!

Fantastic experience: I am always stressed about dental care. After a recent relocation, it was recommended by our financial advisor that Comfort Care Dental would take good care of my dental needs. Today I went in for a cleaning and Maisie was simply incredible. From walking to the dental chair, explicit information on what she would work on today, to scaling, flossing and fluoride, she was AWESOME. It's one of the first times I felt like someone really cared about my dental issues. Thank you very much Maisie. I will also remember to include your recommendations on daily oral care. Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while. The staff was very understanding and explained everything they were going to do, they remembered details I told them, they had a really cool live camera to show me my teeth and what they were seeing in real time, and there was TV to watch while my teeth were cleaned. I thought it was a great experience and my teeth feel so much better!

Fantastic experience: Went to a different dentist in the morning. That dentist said he wouldn’t touch my aching tooth. Was sent to comfort care dentist, called to schedule and was seen same day. All the staff was super friendly and understood the pain I was in. Got me right in and took care of my tooth pain with care and compassion. Won’t waste my time going anywhere else for now on. Thank you all for being caring, compassionate and having gentle hands in this painful situation.

Positive experience: Not very good. Advertised free care for 4 hours on Dec. 7th for people who need it. Said exams, x-rays, fillings, and extractions. Went to the location and waited in line outside in the cold for 30 minutes until they opened the doors. Finally got inside and they had you take a number and go wait outside in your car until they call you. Got the call, came in and they then informed me that they're only doing extractions. I needed a filling. What gives? Wasted my morning for nothing. I will not recommend these dentists. Update: They contacted me and aplogized and offered to get me a filling at a later date. I appreciate their honesty and quick response, I will schedule it with them soon

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Comfort Care a couple times now and both times were emergency situations and both times they got me right in the same day. The dentist and his assistant were kind and compassionate. They both understood how bad my situation was and made me as comfortable as possible. I truly appreciate and recommend this establishment.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience. They lived up to their name and made me comfortable (I have extreme anxiety when going to the dentist, my anxiety was calmed soon after being taken to the chair for my dental work), and the pain was at an absolute minimum. Worst pain I felt was a minor half second pinch like sensation for a lidocaine/novocaine/etc anesthetic shot in my mouth. HIGHLY recommend!

Negative experience: Comfort Care told me I had several cavities which would cost an arm and a leg to fill. I wasn't buying it. I went to a different dentist and they have only filled on cavity over the past eight years since I've been to Comfort Care Dental. How the other cavities have "healed" ... who knows? I'm just glad I got a second opinion.

Fantastic experience: I called in for an emergency visit to have a crown re-attached. They got me in the same day. The staff was friendly, Dr. Harper was masterful in re-attaching the crown with minimal pain, and I was in and out of the dental chair in about 20 minutes. Fantastic experience: I was just visiting a friend in Idaho, and my first night there I broke my veneer off on a slice of pizza! It was a Sunday night, but someone still answered and was able to get me in first thing the next morning. Out of all my dentist experiences in my life, this was by far the easiest and nicest experience I’ve ever had! They were so nice and efficient, and the paperwork was all so easy even though I’m from out of state. I highly recommend coming here for any of your dentist needs!

Fantastic experience: It had been embarrassingly long since my last visit to the dentist—whether due to finances, an unpleasant past experience, or simply because it’s the dentist. I was long overdue. My recent visit to Comfort Care Dental, however, couldn’t have gone better. From the moment I walked in, no one judged me for my absence. Instead, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, and my hygienist, Colette, set the tone for a great experience. She was attentive and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. By the end of my appointment, I didn’t hesitate to book my next one for six months from now. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed my visit and am genuinely looking forward to my next one!

The appointment was very professional done. My wife and I have been going to Comfort Care Dental for about 6 years now and we highly recommend them.

They take everything you say seriously and they build a plan that is very easy to schedule for and they give options of sedation for those with dental anxiety. Fantastic experience: I had a routine appt this morning with an exam, xrays, cleaning, and a flouride treatment. I have zero complaints about my visit. The staff at CCD did a great job. I was in and out of the office in less than an hour. I brought my 4 year old with me and the staff were so good with him. They helped me prep him for his appt next week by explaining what they were doing during my appt and why. I appreciated their patience and kindness.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience from the get go I needed immediate help. The receptionist was nice and squeezed me in with their busy schedule. The assistants and everyone I encountered was friendly respectful and very helpful. Dr. Cannon was exceptional, he did an amazing job with two fillings and removed my one tooth. It didn’t hurt at all while removing the tooth. I’m very happy with the service. Definitely coming back for more services. Now on they will be my dentist. Positive experience: They will not take payments on an emergency tooth extraction even if you have paid off thousands with them in the past. They do not care about the health of their patients unless they are paid immediately They are great for big stuff but don't go here for any emergency tooth situation. They don't make expectations even for regulars if you can't pay for the extraction up front they leave you in pain. I did not intend to leave a review but you keep asking for one over and over so you deserve truth to be told.

Fantastic experience: **A very long & most sincere review.** I am turning 46 years old in January. I needed to start off with this. Previous to November 29, 2023, I had NEVER been to a dentist. I can explain the many, many reasons why, but it is easier to tell you that I did many things right to be able to avoid seeing a dentist in all this time. However, aging (yes, simply aging) can complicate and/or distuptive things so much. Your body breaks down a bit and you can't tolerate certain discomforts. A very cold cup of water hit a nerve. I thought I was on my last leg and the pain was so severe that I finally had no choice but to seek assistance with a dentist. I did my homework and that is what brings me to the reviews. VERY KIND and patient with me and my many (many) questions. Ariane was the first person I talked to. Her kindness helped me to drop my guard and her gentleness allowed me to open up enough to trust. I made my appt and actually showed up. Everyone is KIND and took great care of me. I was asked my preferences and that led to my tour. The lady who did my tour is so VERY, VERY sweet. She explained everything they used and next steps. I appreciated this so much. Ariane was not there when I got there, but arrived shortly thereafter and came back to officially welcome me. I was then introduced to my doctor (Dr. Harper). He started off by giving me my kudos (nearly 46 years of keeping myself together), happy to say no cavities, but I needed 5 extractions. The payment breakdown and set up is amazing and affordable. The lady who helped me through the financial process is amazing!! **I do have insurance. I've always had it (better to have and not need it; instead of needing it and not having it). Fast forward to my extraction appt, December 14, 2023. Went VERY well, I am happily recovering. This is the only dentists office/team that I wholeheartedly trust. My husband appreciated my whole experience and they were so kind to him while I was in surgery. My follow-up appt is in a few days. I will update my review then. My follow-up went well and I am healing, beautifully. I sincerely recommend coming in to be seen, especially if you have fears. They will take VERY great care of you. Fantastic experience: Dr. Hansen does a great job, I appreciate his careful consideration and transparency with respect to how we went about fixing my tooth - took his time and made sure everything was healed properly before finishing my bridge. The hygienists were all very nice too.

Fantastic experience: Called them for an emergency extraction and they got me scheduled in very fast. The hygienists were excellent and made sure I was extra numb and MDM Cannon was very gentle while doing the extraction. Once the procedure was done and the numbing stuff wore off, I was in more pain than anticipated but they were there to help make sure it was more manageable. Will be back for more work in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've been to quite a few dentists in my life and this location in Idaho Falls is amazing. I have been treated so well here. The dentists are great and the assistants are really good and professional. Both times I've been there they did a great job and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Best dentist office I've ever been to. I don't know how, but they make going to the dentist a positive, enjoyable experience. Dr. Chris Cannon is hands down the best dentist I've ever been to. Fantastic experience: Comfort Care is the best. Doctor Cannon always takes my needs and desires to heart and he and the staff makes sure that my experience is personal. I don’t ever feel like just another nameless patient! Even if Doctor Cannon recommends a treatment and I’m not ready to proceed, I feel no pressure or judgment from him. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of reading material to keep me occupied while I waited for my appointment. Fantastic experience: They were super friendly and understanding even though I’m pretty sure it was pain from a popcorn kernel for several days haha. They didn’t make me feel silly or uncomfortable. Just checked it and made sure it was as simple as that. Really great staff.

Fantastic experience: I went for 4 cavities in my molars. After filling out paperwork I was given a tour. The equipment is very nice. They also have TV's in the ceiling. Dr. Harper laid out a full plan of work for my teeth, but today we can just focus on the large cavity near my root. His assistants were nice and helpful. The worst pain was the local shot to my gums, which only felt like a light pinch or pressure. He took it slow and dug out bit by bit. We were 50/50 about if a root canal was necessary. I go back in a few weeks to get my crown or God forbid a root canal. Overall, excellent. A painless, stressless visit. Nice people, equipment, and service. I will update next month on how the crown placement went.

Fantastic experience: I can not say enough nice things about Comfort Care! They are truly amazing and really strive to put there clients need first. I am amazed at how well they not only taken care of me but also my husband!!!!

Negative experience: Honestly super overpriced. My experience was one of the worst I’ve had. Immediately treated like dirt and then brushed off like I didn’t matter. Will never recommend or go back. If you don’t present like the average cookie cutter population in their offices they treat you as if you don’t matter. I left in tears and felt extremely judged. Never again.

Fantastic experience: I have some anxiety that has lingered since childhood when it comes to going to the densit. The people here are so friendly and professional, and they make sure I am comfortable! It helps ease my anxiety so much. I would highly recommend them for all your dental needs!

Fantastic experience: I had to get a crown done. And had Lindsey as my assistant. She was there from start to finish. Making sure I was comfortable and getting the best care. From who I got the numbing shots from, to checking on me hours later after the procedure to make sure I was doing well. She did a lot of the work and was just SO good. Explaining every step and keeping me comfortable. The “support staff” of front office to the dental assistants and hygienists is the reason I keep going. But Lindsey is a gem!!

Fantastic experience: Comfort care is amazing went in to see what I could do to get my smile back. I'm missing my front top middle teeth and they walked me threw my options with my insurance took x rays and then wrote my first visit completely off for free no charge because they wanted me to get ever cent I could with my insurance towards my smile, and not just paperwork that is important but doesn't help me smile (x rays )

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about Comfort Care Dental. I suffered a massive dental emergency that had me white knuckling a flight into Idaho Falls in sheer agony. CCD was the only local dentist I contacted that actually made time to see me on very short notice (weekend), perform a root canal, and get a crown ordered and delivered before I had another flight to Europe 6 days later. Incredible staff and the dentist was fantastic. Highly, highly recommended. They are now my go to dentist office in Idaho.
