Fantastic experience: First time visiting the WDM Dental Center. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, didn’t have a long wait time. The lady that picked me up was the lady that did my exam and X-rays. Very nice and explained everything to me. The dentist was very nice and listened to my worries. Fantastic experience: I like that team at WDM Dental seems to be current with the latest equipment and practices. They take great care of my teeth. In the age of Covid every healthcare service office should be masking (and patients should be too until services require unmasking). Bogles my mind why anyone ever questions that, especially during outbreaks. What outbreak? When your government lacks the will to track infections, check in on Covid levels in wastewater monitoring. It’s still with us. Think Covid is just the sniffles? Check the stats: much higher hospitalization and mortality rates than the flu. Nevermind the risk of disability and degradation of immune systems and who knows what else as we continue to learn more about this novel virus and its mutations. How bad/lethal does a mutation or new disease need to get for our society to be willing to act collectively, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, to protect public health generally? Or those most vulnerable? Perhaps we already know the answer to that question. Best wishes for your health and wellbeing.

Just from a parent of a autistic child that does NOT have much free time, Dr.Allie made sure she just got everything done with in my appointment, with just understanding my situation with little information! Fantastic experience: Dr McCalley and her staff are outstanding! The staff were excellent in helping me with my insurance and working with my previous provider to obtain the records they needed. I've always been nervous about going to the dentist, but Dr. Emily McCalley DDS and the entire team at West Des Moines Dental Clinic made my experience seamless.. Dr. McCalley took the time to explain my treatment plan in a way I could easily understand and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The office is very clean and modern. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist who truly cares about their patients.

I am always on the lookout for the newest! This office is great from the minute you walk in the front door. Ladies at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: The level of care and professionalism is off the charts!! I broke a tooth, and having no regular dentist, I found them on Google. They got me in the very next morning. They fixed my tooth with a temporary crown within an hour! There was absolutely no pain. They were very kind and explained everything every step of the way. I am so grateful to have chosen them and I'm no proud to say I have found my new dental office!

Fantastic experience: My sister who works in the dental world recommended this office to me. I am extremely happy with my experience. My hygienist does an excellent job with my cleanings! Over the years Iv neglected my dental care due to a bad experience at a different office. My teeth have definitely suffered because of it. I was extremely nervous for my first visit with Dr. Edward’s. She and her team were wonderful and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions without making me feel shame for not coming in sooner. They have done several procedures on me over the last couple years and have worked with me and my insurance to come up with a treatment plan. I’m extremely grateful to finally be where I’d like to be with my dental health. This office is awesome and I would recommend them to all my friends and family!

Fantastic experience: Why did I wait so long? I stopped going to a dentist after an unpleasant experience and then covid. But a broken tooth and recommendation from a friend brought me to WDM Dental. I'm so glad! Every aspect has been exceptional. No longer will I dread going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I called about an abscess tooth, possibly more than one and was pretty embarrassed yet the receptionist was so kind and helpful in getting me scheduled. I am new to West Des Moines Dental Center and had an appointment on Monday. I’ll just say that I’ve been negligent in my teeth’s health/maintenance so I was really worried. and the nurse who helped me (really wish I could remember her name) had to be the best nurse I’ve ever had in my life in any medical field. She was so kind and reassuring. I found out a couple teeth had to come out and they could do it right then and there or I could go to an oral surgeon.. I decided I came here for a reason let’s get a couple out. Dr. Ali Meyer was the best dentist I’ve ever had work on my teeth. Had both teeth out in 36 minutes. That was the best service I’ve ever had and I’m so thankful for West Des Moines Dental Center. I will always be a patient here!

Fantastic experience: All the staff and doctors at West Des Moines Dental are super friendly and efficient. Every time I’ve had a problem outside my routine visits they have gotten me in quickly, usually same day. I’ve seen all the dentists over the years & they’re all great. I’m always greeted upon arrival & any costs/billing are thoroughly explained up front. Always a great experience!

Fantastic experience: The front desk staff are pleasant and take time to get insurance squared away. My hygienist was friendly and respectful. She provided good advice. The cleaning was quick and she made sure I was comfortable. The dental assistant made sure I was comfortable and made the procedure calm. The dentist was caring, concerned, pleasant, and made the procedure easy to sit through. She asked if I was ok throughout the procedure. Overall the entire staff is caring and pleasant. They are compassionate and listen to concerns.

Everyone ...( starting with the receptionists)...is always pleasant helpful and professional ...... Dr Meyer cured my" fear" of dentists, that I had developed in childhood and beyond. He is very thorough, gentle and explains everything before he does anything., goes out of his way to make sure you have anything you need, and answers all questions, without condesention. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Five years ago I went to a clinic in Urbandale and the lady got so upset about trying to clean my teeth and dealing with the lung problem. I just got up and walked out because she was going to be able to finish. Today when the same situation happened with Julie she handled it with understanding and compassion and got my teeth cleaned. That is professionalism at its finest. She is truly a professional and I thank her.

I've had two procedures in the last 3 months at WDM Dental, replacing an old filling and a crown. As usual, I couldn't be more satisfied with the work that was done. Their courtesy and friendliness is always on display, and their promptness means very little time in the waiting room. If you want to actually LOOK FORWARD to going to the dentist, I recommend trying WDM Dental Center! Update- 2025. Consistently GREAT dental care, and they don’t scold you for not flossing!

Dentists have a good attitude and will answer any questions you have. Not a huge fan of the music, but I know most people wouldn't mind it.

Not only are they extremely thorough and professional but they are also always nice, kind and will go out of their way to do whatever they can to assist. On one occasion, for example, I was in serious pain and Dr. Meyer and his daughter even met me there ON A SUNDAY to help me! Amazing! For years I have relied on this firm to help me with regular cleanings and corrective, dental repair and I think you should rely on them as well. You'll be happy you did! SRA UPDATE: Yesterday I had an unfortunate incident which resulted in a broken front tooth. Yikes. Not a great look if you know what I mean. While embarrassed, I knew that it would be best for me to call Dr. Meyer's office sooner, rather than later because I know how busy their office can be and it might be a day or 2 before they could get me in. Plus, I've been fighting a cold and I thought waiting might even be better, all things considered. Anyway, I called 515-224-4867, left a message and 3 minutes later, Dr. Meyer himself called to ask what had happened. When he heard the predicament I was in, he insisted I come to his office at once, even though it was late in the day. In no time at al I was in the chair and Doc and his assistant were fixing me up with a temp tooth. 30 minutes later I was in my truck heading home. This is just one example where I feel Dr. Meyer and his awesome staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. And I am grateful. Thanks again, Dr. Meyer, to you and your entire staff for yet another "job well done". I am pleased and very blessed to have you in my corner. SRA WELL... yet one more visit to Dr Meyer's WDM Dental Center. Needing more help with my teeth & while it's not the most fun thing to go thru, it is comforting to know i am in competent hands-literally.
