Fantastic experience: Lisa, Caitlyn, and Dr Caggiano were the absolute best. Explained everything in detail and they all took the time to be helpful and nice. Minal, the dental hygienist, was very kind and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, caring, professional team, nice facility, easy to schedule, billing is efficient and accurate. I always have a good experience from check-in to check - out.

Negative experience: I have an emergency dental need that was completely disregarded on the "Free Clinic" day. The receptionist on Monday the day prior to the clinic reassured me that arriving at 10am the day of the clinic would give more than adequate time to be seen, otherwise, I would have taken the ENTIRE shift off that day and arrived at midnight to secure my spot. When I arrived, CLEANINGS were given higher priority than emergency dental needs, and I sat there for hours only to be told at 1pm "no one else will be seen, please clear the waiting room. This clinic was not a day of humanity nor compassion, it was trawling for new families dressed-up in humanity. Shame on the group for not taking the emergency patient, clearing the line an hour earlier than advertised, and breaking your word to get to everyone (as I had been promised over the phone that previous Monday.) The "1 Star" is a mere formality as review won't post until I've given a star. Now watch this review go to the bottom of the pile. Criteria for being a decent human? Compassion and integrity. Both lacking.

Fantastic experience: I love Ms. Pam, my hygienist at St. Augustine Family Dentistry. She’s professional and efficient, gets my teeth clean and gets me on my way for the day. I highly recommend her and the practice.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist can be a scary experience unless you are going to St. Augustine Family Dentistry and Dr. Caggiano. I just had a crown prep and permanent crown put on another tooth yesterday. Both were painless procedures and included fun chit chat with Dr. Caggiano & staff. If you need a dentist, I recommend this dental office. I decided to get Invisalign to help correct my shifted teeth. I am extremely pleased that after 2 months, my top teeth are not biting my bottom lip when I eat. The dental assistants and Dr. Caggiano make every visit informative and pleasant. I highly recommend getting Invisalign from this office if you want a great way to improve your teeth with an excellent professional staff!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank St. Augustine Family Dentistry enough for coming to my rescue when I was in extreme pain from recent major dental work. Since my primary address and all my doctors are out of state, I was very concerned about where to go and who would be able to fit in a non-regular patient. From the first phone call, Anessa at the front desk put me at ease. She assured me she would speak with the dentist and get back to me—and she did, calling within minutes to let me know they could fit me in the schedule that very same day. She explained I might have to wait, but one of the dentists would absolutely see me. That alone brought such relief. When I arrived, the front desk team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely comforting during a very stressful moment. The dental hygienist who brought me back was just as kind, gathering my information, taking X-rays, and making sure I was as comfortable as possible while I was in pain. Then I met Dr. German Obando, and my concerns immediately lifted. Even though they were fitting me in, he never seemed rushed. Instead, he took his time to listen carefully to my story, understand my discomfort, and explain everything before, during, and after his exam. He performed some minor work that made a world of difference and gave me clear advice on how to heal faster. I walked out of the office already feeling so much better. To my surprise, they even scheduled me a follow-up appointment the next week to check on my healing. That level of care, compassion, and professionalism is rare and so appreciated. There is nothing worse than being in pain and away from home, but Dr. Obando and his team—Anessa, the front desk staff, and the hygienist—made me feel like I was in the best hands. I am truly grateful for their help and highly recommend St. Augustine Family Dentistry to anyone in need of excellent dental care. Their name says it all: not only do they care for families, but from the moment you walk through the door, they make you feel like family.

Fantastic experience: Usually hate going to the dentist, but not today! Had the best experience. Ten of ten recommended. Cavities don’t stand a chance against these guys. Almost felt bad for them, they got drilled!

Fantastic experience: Even though I'm a little difficult as a patient because I'm very detailed oriented, so, really picky on "my sense" of esthetics and function, Dr. Obando and his entire staff from his techs to his entire front office have been exceptional to deal with ..... We had a great one sided conversation while she polished my teeth and when I finally got a chance to talk we caught up on our lives lately and staff who had moved on to other jobs. The whole group really is a big Family.

Negative experience: This review is for first impressions upon entering the office. I was greeted by a friendly girl with two huge things hanging off her nose, imagine my shock & surprise! I worked in Dentistry as an assistant for almost 30yrs, 10yrs at this office & I must say this is very unprofessional & inappropriate as a first impression. Fantastic experience: While I was out of the country on vacation, I unfortunately broke my upper front tooth. Upon returning to the U.S., St. Augustine Family Dentistry promptly scheduled an appointment for me just a few days later and even placed me on a waiting list in case something opened up sooner. To my surprise and relief, I was able to see the dentist 48 hours earlier than expected. Dr. Obando did an incredible job—within a few hours, my tooth was completely restored, and it looked as though nothing had ever happened. The cost was more than reasonable, with no emergency or surprise fees added. Andrea was exceptionally kind and reassuring throughout the process, and the entire staff displayed a level of compassion, professionalism, and calm that immediately put me at ease. This was, without question, the best dental experience I’ve ever had—and at such a minimal cost. St. Augustine Family Dentistry is truly an asset to the dental community.

Negative experience: 6 months ago I gave them a 5 star review . Probably the most comfortable I have ever been at a dentist office . Flash forward 6 months . I broke my tooth and waited to long to go in and fix it . My fault . Now infection has set in and my face is swollen. The worst tooth pain I have ever had . I'm 62 years old and know pain . I asked for some real pain medication. Jackson Caggiano suggested Ibuprofen, Aleve or Tylenol. In the last 3 days I been eating All of them like candy to know avail . He said he couldn't give me 2 or 3 days worth of Hydrocodon. So I guess it is better to eat 20 or more Ibuprofen than 7 or 8 Hydrocodon. I doubt it. The real issue I have is how smug that kid that calls himself a Dr was . He said he was not arguing . I don't think he knows the definition of what arguing is . When all that BS was done they referred me to another dentist to extract the tooth . What kind of dentist can't extract a tooth ? If I would have known they couldn't extract the tooth I would have went to a real practice. Needless to say we won't be going back . On a bright note , the ladies at the front desk are amazing and my dental assistant was amazing as well.

We just moved from CA to FL, so I needed to get set up with a new dentist. I chose St. Augustine Family Dentistry because they had great reviews and were in network. And I have to say—they deserve those great reviews!! I recently lost my job and the hygienist Pam and receptionist Maria were so kind, patient, and attentive while helping me navigate my new dental insurance to ensure everything would be in budget for me at this time. Pam was wonderful to chat with, and Maria was exceptionally helpful and attentive. I highly recommend. 10 stars!

My hygienist explains things to look out for, options for treatments, etc., in a way I can easily understand. Fantastic experience: Our family is new to st Augustine. I found this dentist on a quick google search and I’m so pleased with how our first visit went. My son is 6 and he went in for a cleaning. The hygienist was the best, so sweet and patient and gentle. She explained everything to my son and offered time for questions. She used charts to explain what’s happening inside his mouth at this age and explained the importance of daily dental hygiene. The doctor was also sweet and professional. He the time to answer questions I have about my other son even though he did not have an appointment that day. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The skillset is way below par to serve the public, unprofessional, and zero accountability. Hygienist broke one of my teeth. I was sent home with an exposed root without any medicine. I had to get an implant elsewhere which was very expensive. This “practice” refused to cover any of it. This building should go back to being a bank—much safer.

Fantastic experience: The staff at St. Augustine Family Dentistry were fantastic. I had a dental emergency. My dentist had retired and didn't find one to replace him. My daughter's dentist couldn't take me but made arrangements for me to see the dentist at St. Augustine Family Dentistry. They took me in soon after I arrived and had x-rays taken. I saw the dentist who said I needed to see an oral surgeon and sent me to Dr. Oxford. The outcome is I have an absence which requires extraction and eventual implant. I received Rxs for an antibiotic and pain. This all took place on a Friday. I was having a lot of pain and was afraid that it would be more severe over the weekend if I didn't see a dentist that day. Thanks to St. Augustine Family Dentist for seeing me in this dental emergency and for seeing that I received the appropriate care.

Negative experience: Won’t be returning. Came to this practice as a kid and haven’t been back until this year, now 26 years old with my own insurance policy and made a point to update my chart with them prior to my visit because they had me marked as a new patient, to which I informed them that I had records with them and they were able to find my chart. However, apparently being an adult who is their own policy holder is not enough. You have to request your chart be separated from a parents. So they put my retired mother into collections for a balance on MY account. I work in a doctors office and have never had to be told not to bill under someone else’s identity for an adult with their own insurance. OH, and no notices received via email or mail because my mother is 70 and doesn’t keep up with that stuff. I ALSO paid a late fee for their error. Was told on the phone that there are plenty of 26 year olds on their parent’s insurance. NEWS FLASH, that’s not an excuse. I should report this as a HIPAA violation since they’re sending itemized bills to the wrong people.

Positive experience: Great, patient, accommodating staff I can't say enough how kind every interaction was with each staff member They rushed me in for an emergency extraction while I was on holiday vacation while other dentists in the area had no interest or concern i was in terrible pain The tech for the dentist who extracted my tooth was so compassionate I never once felt uneasy My only complaint was the staff is very thorough explaining each process but when it came to billing after THREE times denying a bone implant it was on my bill I'm assuming the procedure would have been done if I didn't realize it before the extraction and once again deny it Maybe just an oversight I'd like to think so because I highly recommend them

Negative experience: Beware. My experience there was sad. I was a 12 year client. They can’t keep dentists. I got married and tried to get my wife in. Even with four month notice they had no room due to only one dentist. Then on day of her appointment there was a storm and they closed then they gave her an appointment another 4 months out. Then I couldn’t go with her that day due to work and she’s English second language. They charged her a second time for x rays as they didn’t have an interpreter even after I said we can transfer her X-rays in from the dentist we had to go to because they couldn’t get her in. Well they turned Me over to a bill collector and they won’t call me back. It’s sad because the dental assistant who helped me is amazing and helps keep that office going.

Negative experience: I have a broken tooth that needs to be pulled. I went in for the exam and was lectured by the tech before seeing the dentist. He confirmed it needed pulling and told me to come back to see another dentist to get it pulled which I thought was weird.I got home and my wife told me they charged me $100 more than they quoted her for a self pay exam. The morning of my next appointment I called to postpone it due the storm coming in and they told me the appointment was for another exam and not the extraction. I told them to cancel everything and I would be back for a refund of the difference of the overcharge. Nothing says money hungry than a dentist that wants to charge you for multiple visits to look than just doing the simple extraction.

Fantastic experience: Pam my dental hygienist is the best! Easy on my sensitive teeth but very thorough. She called me twice to help find a appointment time that fit my schedule. She always remembers all my quirky issues and works around them wonderfully. I highly recommend this dental office they all work together to make for a successful and worry free visit.

The dental assistants do a lot of preparatory work and are thoughtful, knowledgeable, and caring ( especially Casey and Laura). They even give you a blanket, headrest pillow, and protective glasses to block bright lights to make you comfortable. Even the front desk is polite, knowledgeable and professional. I was told that I would need a root canal to save a tooth, but I was referred to another facility to have the work done but then come back to St. Augustine Family Dentistry to have the crown placed. I miss being able to go to one office for everything.

Positive experience: They walked me past the register after getting a crown adjustment and told me to have a nice day and then I got a surprise bill. My crown still feels wrong and now my whole bite feels wrong and other teeth are bothering me from everything being off. I can’t afford to go back and my mouth bothers me every single day now. I regret choosing this dentist when I was panicking and needing a crown done and picked the closest place to my house that was available.
