Negative experience: I asked for a simple refund of my 26 dollars and since the first time I asked it’s been about 3 months. The second time I called she said no one did it. Still waiting. They definitely messed up my husbands filling too and he said something and yeah we are switching. I just want my simple refund.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel brought me out of one of the most painful experiences of my life. I was dealing with unbearable pain from an infection under an old crown, and he quickly assessed the situation, coordinated with my endodontist, and prescribed the right medication to get things under control. He also worked with the lab to expedite both the shade match and the crown mold, which was a huge relief because I had upcoming travel. The crown replacement itself was a breeze. Gum numbing injections usually hurt more than regular ones, but even that felt smooth and painless with Dr. Patel. It’s been over a month since the replacement, and I can happily say it looks and feels great. —————————-/——————————————————— The entire staff at Avery Ranch Dental is friendly, professional, and genuinely good at what they do. My visits here feel reassuring, anxiety-free, and consistently successful. We had a great first visit with Paige and Dr Prashant Patel today. It was my 5 year old’s first ever visit to a dentist. She had a cleaning, X-rays and a quick tooth extraction today - everything went brilliantly well because of Paige’s amazing bedside manner. She constantly engaged my daughter in fun conversation whilst keeping her informed of exactly what she was doing. Dr Patel was patient and so efficient - we wrapped up the appointment within 35 min, and started right on time - I was pleasantly surprised. This visit has left a lasting impression on my daughter and she now doesn’t fear a visit to the dentist at all. The office is bright and airy and filled with toys and treats for little kids. I’m so glad we found a great dentist/dental clinic so close to home!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at Avery Ranch Dental thanks to my dental hygienist, Ngoc Le. She was incredibly thorough and attentive to detail, making sure everything was done with care. What stood out most was her kind and calming tone, which immediately put me at ease. Ngoc communicated with me throughout the entire procedure, always checking in and explaining what she was doing. She also took the time to answer all my questions patiently and clearly. I truly felt like I was in great hands. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: It had been almost a decade since I’d seen a dentist, so I was pretty nervous about going back — but Dr. Thomas Nguyen and his assistant Ayleen made the whole experience so much better than I imagined. My teeth definitely needed a lot of work, but Dr. Nguyen took his time with me right from the start. He did X-rays and created a treatment plan that was easy to understand, which really helped me feel more at ease. A week later, I came back to get the fillings I needed, and the procedure was way smoother than I expected. Dr. Nguyen was careful, gentle, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Ayleen was great, too — super friendly and supportive. Highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and Ayleen if you’re looking for a great dental team.

Negative experience: Dr. Arpita Judy—-we have spoken before probably about the same situation. I thought by now situations have settled by now, but apparently not. Shelly, your treatment plan coordinator was not coordinated and coordinating very well today. For my grandson. First, xray or no xray, second existing tooth or not, third come now to get X-rays…after I left your office. Literally down the street to return for X-rays. He was taken back and X-rays were NOT taken—what the heck. Who’s running this office back into shape. His cleaning was probably 10 minutes tops. I was not told his hygienist was not here and the sub probably shimmed through the cleaning. I would gather your office won’t shimmy through the insurance payment. Please let insurance company know yall didn’t provide a full service job. It’s why you have coordinators and staff folks to oil your machine down keeping them running. No hiccups, it’s why each patient should have undivided attention. It’s why we pay health insurance for. It’s was total goat screw for sure today for us felt like step children.

Negative experience: Between two insurance plans, I was talked into a procedure to fill the gap between my crowns and gum line for several teeth. I was clearly told it would be covered by insurance. A year later, I was hit with a large bill after the insurance company denied the claims for multiple teeth. It seems like either the wrong paperwork was submitted or there was no proper follow-up with the insurance company. Now I’m stuck with a big, unexpected out-of-pocket expense. The whole situation feels shady and lacking in transparency—I wouldn’t recommend this provider. Also, dental cleanings for both me and my kids felt rushed: about 20 minutes for the kids and 35 minutes for me. If you're just looking to get in and out quickly, that’s the one thing they do well.

Negative experience: My family and I have been going to this office since my kids were in grade school. Now they have graduated from college and got their own jobs. We still see Dr. Judy because she is phenomenal. I am giving 2 stars just because she really is authentically awesome! However, I am with Laurie C., Lauren R., Jeff D., Lynn C. and many others who expressed their frustrations with the scheduling and billing department. Now, I am contemplating of staying away from this office because of the stress and frustrations they have caused us recently. If it's not the confusion on the scheduling, it's the confusion on the billing. (And at one time the ridicule that one of the hygienists did to one of my kids when he was younger- and they did it in front of me-I'll never forget!) -but that's just a story for another day. They need to get themselves together or they will lose more repeat customers. Right now, I am still awaiting a call back from a billing manager. They do not want me to hold the call because billing account manager "is busy". It's been about an hour now....still waiting. We will see how this plays out. This could be the last straw for me.

Fantastic experience: My dental hygienist Paige made my visit very comfortable. I’ve had years of hygienist that were rough and made my visits very uncomfortable, so going to the dentist has always been a stressful experience. Paige was very gentle, thorough and explained each step of my cleaning. She eased my nerves and was both very pleasant and professional. Dr Patel checked in on me while I was there. He’s the best dentist ever! Always kind and goes the extra mile for his patients. I would highly recommend these two at Avery Ranch Dental!

Dr. Violet performed my deep cleaning, and she was incredibly kind, compassionate, and gentle throughout the process. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Avery Ranch Dental! I’ve been coming here since 2016. I’ve had my crowns done here, I get my quarterly cleanings, you name it I’ve done it all here. I trust the quality of work and care I get here. Dr Judy and her staff are always so nice and welcoming. I just got my teeth cleaned yesterday by the amazing Violet. She’s always so sweet, personable, and very thorough. Everytime I see her she asks about my dogs and she remembers the conversations we previously had. I know she sees lots of patients, I don’t know how she remembers, but it makes me feel special. Same with Dr Judy. She remembers me and our conversations. I really appreciate the overall experience and I won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Made an appointment for Monday with dr. Nguyen. I got a call Monday morning that Dr Nguyen is out sick and had the appointment rescheduled to Tuesday 1pm. On Tuesday, Received confirmation email and text with two hours to go for appointment. Reached , cleared insurance and was told to wait. Waited for 45 mins and told there was a misunderstanding. Dr Nguyen is out sick. So appointment cancelled. No prior intimation. The lady at the counter checked me in for the appointment. Very bad coordination and unprofessional .

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been patients here for almost ten years and I'm always blown away by their service. Every time I go, I feel so at ease by both the dentist and especially Rachel who was my hygienist today. She and all techs I've had was so sweet, compassionate and patient. She and Dr. Patel not only explain everything they're doing it but do so in the most comforting manner. Best of all is I've never had issues during or after any procedure. Can't say enough except I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel gave me a beautiful smile! I'm not a fan of visiting the dentist and they go above and beyond to help me not be scared. Got my cleaning today with Kristina and she was Awesome. Another cleaning and this time it was Karrie with a K. She took the time to listen to me AND super funny. I met Cynthia today during a filling. She was very comforting. Dr. Patel helped me with a fractured tooth. Not a fan of going to the dentist but he and Priscilla helped me get through it. Even though I was scared and did cry a little. Thank you Dr Patel.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Avery Ranch Dental for probably over 8 years now and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it here! I have absolutely never had an issue with billing or office staff and I WILL continue to recommend folks come here. From the moment you walk into their offices (front door) to the moment you leave, everyone is super friendly and always there to help you. I will be leaving them thanks to my insurance plan - uuggh and am extremely saddened by this BUT at least I know, if I can ever come back, I'm on it!!! You won't be disappointed ♥ Update ~ still 10yrs after coming to Avery Ranch Dental, I am a loyal & very satisfied customer . Fantastic experience: As most people I do not like being told bad news and it’s usually every time I see a dentist or doctor. This place explains everything clearly and doesn’t judge me on my bad brushing habits. They genuinely are concern for my health and try to guide me in the right direction with the proper tools to keep my dental hygiene up. It’s a bit on the expensive side (even though my insurance pays for half of it). I definitely see me stop going if I didn’t have insurance. Other than that no complaints. :)

She has made it easier for me to feel comfortable while getting cleanings. I find myself relaxing within minutes of her starting. She has a great attitude and and is very personable. Dr Patel is equally outstanding. Routine work he has performed for me has been top notch. I have not experienced any issues with his work. I definitely recommend them as well as the whole staff.

My dental hygienist Ayleen was very kind and accommodating, Dr. Gwen was detail oriented and did a perfect job in fixing some very big fillers. At th a front desk, Amy was able to walk me through the step plan and scheduled my appointments very swiftly, she made the process and dealing with my insurance very very simple. Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment online. I received an email confirmation. I showed up for my appointment and was told I they didnt have me scheduled. I showed them my confirmation. They said their system doesn’t always work. In other words it is a known issue that they have not fixed or corrected. My time is as valuable as your time. I would love the wasted PTO back, but I don’t live in that world. Either call and confirm that you have an appointment OR better go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have had some bad experiences in the past with having dental work done. Needless to say, I am one of those “nervous” patients! I recently had a new crown put in by Dr.Patel at Avery Ranch Dental. My experience there was excellent! Dr. Patel explained the procedure and then worked carefully to get it completed. I was needing to find a dentist, and I am so glad I found Dr. Patel! I also had a cleaning procedure done by Paige. This was the best experience I have had for a cleaning! She was thorough and careful, and I really enjoyed visiting with her. The office staff is also so friendly and gracious.You feel welcome there! Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel and his staff - specifically Rachel - are amazing. I had an old filling fall out while out at dinner and they were able to get me in first thing the next day to resolve the issue. Dr. Patel and Rachel were super efficient in putting in a crown, continuously checking in on me to ensure I was comfortable and that I experienced no pain. I usually dread going to the dentist, but they provide such attentive, quick, and personable care, that going to the dentist is actually enjoyable! I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel and his team for any of your dentistry needs!

Fantastic experience: My hygienist was excellent but, I forgot her name. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable and so nice to talk too! Dr. Judy is amazing! I love Avery!!!!

Negative experience: Update below... I went in for a cleaning. They checked for gum disease and told me to come back to see the periodontist. I was going to be dismissed so I asked if I could at least get my cleaning. I received a regular cleaning. Nothing more! Trust me, I’ve had plenty of cleanings including periodontal maintenance and I know the difference. At checkout I was told I have a prior 95 dollar bill from a crown a year ago. I recall paying more for that because insurance didn’t pay it all. So I paid it back a year ago. They let me leave. Today I get a call telling me my cleaning was a periodontal maintenance. Trust me it was not!! I argued that all I asked for was at least my cleaning I came in for and I received that. Nothing more. They claim now that is what the $95 is for. Wow, my cleaning was paid by my insurance and they want me to pay for something I didn’t receive. Beware. So at this point they are either lying about the procedure or someone was misinformed. So I suggest you look elsewhere if you want honesty. Don’t pay for a service you didn’t receive. Update Wow, now I'm being told I owe 146 dollars after I called and was told not to worry about it. they really are thief's. Not sure why they added 50 extra dollars to it, but beware... also note these 4 stars are from the previous owners.. Now they keep sending me a bill. What crooks. I’m about to report them to insurance that they are frauds filing false claims. They better stop as I will not pay for a service I did NOT receive

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned by Paige, she was attentive to her work and is a perfectionist. I had zero pain throughout the entire process and it felt more like getting a massage than getting my teeth cleaned. I would absolutely recommend Paige as your hygienist! 10/10

Fantastic experience: This is my third visit to Avery Ranch Dental, and I am extremely pleased with their services. My hygienist, Violeta, is exceptional! She takes the time and effort to ensure I am well cared for, and her service is outstanding. She even goes the extra mile by offering me a blanket when I'm cold in the clinic and teaching me how to floss. She is heartwarming, approachable, and easy to communicate with. I really like Dr. Judy. Not only is she friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable, I feel she is very involved with her patients and works hard to ensure they have a positive experience. She also takes significant accountability, more so than any other professional I have ever worked with.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel is excellent. He successfully filled 5 of my teeth. This may not seem to be much to brag about but my previous dentist planned to crown 2 of these teeth and extract and make a bridge for the other 3. Dr. Patel's philosophy is to fix and maintain natural teeth for as long as possible. His doing me saved my 5 teeth and also thousand of dollars for the crowns, extractions and bridge I had been told I needed. Thank you Dr. Patel, you are hero to me!

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for many years and have had a consistently great experience. My current hygienist, Julie, is wonderful and detailed! It sounds odd, but my most recent dentist appointment was the highlight of the day for me. I like that you can communicate with the front desk over text, their checkout processes are optimized to the extent possible. They do put technology to good use and their staff is always pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Trinny and Dr. Prashant Patel took great care of me and my wife as new patients. The entire process was very smooth and seamless! Also Kerri, the hygienist, went above and beyond to make me comfortable during dental cleaning - she did a great job! We are very glad and feeling lucky that we chose the perfect dentist and clinic soon after moving to Austin TX.

Fantastic experience: I normally don't like going to dentist offices because in my experience they usually overcharge me and the experience is horrible. However, Avery Ranch Dental was not bad at all. It was actually a pleasant experience. I was surprised. Granted, I've only been there once (new patient) and only had a cleaning done. I'm hoping that I experience excellence again when I go back for my next appointment in a few months (hoping no hidden charges pop up - will update this review if that happens). A special shoutout to Paige for being SUPER sweet and caring. She explained every single procedure and went above and beyond in her work. Paige was also great at making me feel comfortable and had great bedside manner. Dr Patel was professional and didn't make me feel horrible like other dentists usually do for no reason. Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Fantastic experience: Dr Judy and her hygienist are absolutely amazing. They work seamlessly to provide the best experience. The office is clean and they are punctual. I get anxiety BIG time with the dentist from a bad experience at another dentist in Chicago back in the 90s!! However Dr Judy has the patience of a Saint. I am just so grateful to be under her care. Best care I’ve had for my dental cleaning and a crown. Dr Judy is very attentive. I wouldn’t see anyone else for my dental care.

Fantastic experience: Spent hours researching good dentists. Reddit, Google etc. I read 1000s of reviews. I made the mistake of going to a corporate chain dentist first. Dr. Patel was great and explained everything. Michael gave me the best cleaning I’ve ever had. I’m telling you this is the place to go. Not trying to sell you on a bunch of procedures. Friendly and everything is on time.

Fantastic experience: Paige is a great dental hygienist. I appreciate her thoroughness and efficiency cleaning my teeth. I love that she uses dental hand tools and not some fancy high pitched mechanical scraping tool. I’ve been to many different hygienists and she’s the first, in a really long time, that takes the time to make sure that every tooth is taken care of. I always leave feeling satisfied.

Fantastic experience: Paige and Dr. Patel make a great team. Paige was thorough and meticulous with her hygiene. She was also very personable and approachable. Dr. Patel correctly diagnosed and treated my dental issue. They both have great bedside manner and top notch dental skills. Overall an excellent visit. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Negative experience: I recently underwent a root canal retreatment and crown replacement at Avery Ranch Dental, and unfortunately, my overall experience has been quite disappointing and I want to share my story in case you are considering them for your dental needs. To begin with, I had a root canal performed in India nearly a decade ago, and after Dr. Patel recommended a retreatment and crown replacement, I proceeded with the recommend treatment procedures. I paid all my out-of-pocket expenses promptly. However, complications arose when my dental insurance withheld the claim due to a lack of documentation from Avery Ranch Dental. This communication gap caused delays in the processing of my insurance claim. The real challenges began three months after the crown placement when I started experiencing pain in the same tooth. Upon reaching out to Avery Ranch Dental to schedule a follow-up, I was informed that they could not proceed until the insurance claim was settled. After investigating, I discovered that the clinic had provided incorrect documentation, causing further delays in my treatment. It was only after the insurance claim was paid that my follow-up appointment was finally scheduled. However, to my dismay, Avery Ranch Dental had overcharged me by approximately $900. The refund process for this overcharge took nearly two months to be resolved, highlighting operational inefficiencies within the practice. Beyond these operational challenges, I found the behavior of the dental staff to be unprofessional. During our initial appointment, there were mocking remarks about the thoroughness of root canals performed by Indian doctors, which I found particularly disheartening given how Dr. Patel himself is a second generation Indian. Overall, my experience with Avery Ranch Dental has been marked by operational inefficiencies, delayed treatments, overcharging, and unprofessional behavior. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dental office to others seeking reliable and professional dental care.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Avery Ranch Dental for about 10 years. I’ve received consistent excellent care myself and for my family. My dentist, hygienist and front staff are very welcoming and professional. I will continue refer my family and friends to Avery Ranch Dental!! I’ve been on a 6 month checkup schedule and it’s been very successful. No problems and I got my exam and cleaning done. It’s good to know that my oral health is taken care of.
