Positive experience: I had a great experience here. The staff is very friendly and patient, and they make you feel comfortable right away. The prices are also more affordable compared to other dental offices I’ve been to, which I really appreciate. The clinic is clean, well-organized, and has a welcoming atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Staff was really nice and accommodating from the making of the appointment to the person that set me up In my room and the hygienist that cleaned my teeth . Also the music and vibe was more relaxing than the normal sterile medicine feeling of most dentist offices...great experience overall!!

Fantastic experience: Dr . Pham performed the LANAP procedure on me yesterday. I was a bit anxious but I took the medication as prescribed and the procedure went smoothly. Overall Dr. Pham listened to the issues I brought to him regarding prior dental work and my best outlook going forward. The five stars are for Dr. Phams ability to listen and hear the patient regardless of the number of patients one may have.

Negative experience: I did have a good experience, until Bancroft Dental kept stealing money from me after I had cancelled a the insurance subscription they had. I had called there team to cancel about a month ago and I had not renewed my subscription before hand. So when I called to cancel they said it would be taken care of and the money will be reverted back to my account. WRONG! I been calling and nobody answers the phone nor are they professional on the phone, almost as if they do not want to help me. Anytime I call it's always some one different telling me different information. This is my second time calling them to cancel the subscription and they continue to act like I'm the problem. All I wanted was for them to cancel my subscription and not just tell me its done and then a month later the same issue is happening. So unless you want slow call back times and misinformation from 3-5 people every time you call, then I suggest you don't go here.

Fantastic experience: Another terrific visit to Bancroft Dental Care!! The staff is always so professional, welcoming, and very good at the jobs they do. Drive here with the family every 6 months to get our teeth cleaned. We end up making it a family weekend trip in the Bay Area while we are here. Negative experience: Not very happy with the place after my jaw has been locked for a month and when I asked for a refund they made me feel very uncomfortable. The manager said the refund can take up to one month which is crazy because they were quick to take my money. This is after the manager avoided me for a week after leaving multiple messages.

UPDATE 10/3/25: I’ve been a loyal customer over the years, just had treatment yesterday. Another awesome experience considering I get extreme anxiety thinking of going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: This dentist is great. The staff is knowledgeable and not judgmental and condescending like some dentists. My teeth are terrible after a series of life events and no insurance for several years but they are so kind and simply work with me to get things fixed. The equipment is top of the line and dentists are very skilled. My dentist has done two extractions on my chipped teeth and performed bone grafts as well as a crown. Every experience I have is great. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: When I first got there, the first thing I noticed was their beautiful waterfall in the waiting area. The receptionist was very nice. They were quick and make sure I understood everything that was being done to me. I felt very welcomed and definitely happy about my choice to receive treatment at their office. Not to mention, the music was very welcoming I love oldies!

The doctor's detailed explanations were greatly appreciated, as he took the time to determine the best course of action. The staff was also very pleasant and courteous. However, the payment process felt a bit challenging. Presenting the total cost upfront and emphasizing leasing agreements was somewhat overwhelming. Perhaps a more step-by-step approach, outlining the costs for each task and incorporating information about financial resources like dental coverage, would have been more helpful.

ALEX was freaking AMAZING Super gentle and I actually felt safe compare to other bad experiences I had before. Luz made sure that I was taken care of! You can really tell the difference with people who actually like their job and enjoy helping others!! I will definitely be back and refer people to come to Bancroft dental!!!

Fantastic experience: Very professional, courteous, and friendly staff and service. Convenient location, with parking available in the back (although on occasion it has been full, and I've had to park on the street). What stands out is that the entire operation at BDC is customer-oriented and intensely consistent and respectful. They respect your human dignity, treat you with respect, and always have a smile to soothe the anxiety a lot of us have when visiting a dentist.

Negative experience: My original appointment was moved by the dental office. They had overbooked themselves and could not take me at my time. They gave me a less than a 30 minute notice not to come in after I had rushed home from work to go to my appointment. I had an emergency cut in to the time of my new appointment and called the office twice to let them know ahead of time and received no response. After each phone call I was sent a text link. I sent a text of what had happened and then received a phone call from the receptionist Anastasia. When I told Anastasia what happened she laughed understand her breath at me asking if I could come a different time and said “No you can’t do that other people have appointments we can’t just move them around or behind for you.” I replied that is what happened to me yesterday and you didn’t mind moving me around. Anastasia continued to argue with me. I told her that I wanted a refund for my 50% deposit I had made for my appointment that was supposed to happen the day before. Anastasia had a bigger attitude and asked me for my name which was weird since she should have known my name based on my appointment. Due to her attitude and incompetence I asked to speak to someone else. Anastasia hugged and said that’s fine I’m not dealing with this and placed me on hold. After waiting on hold for a few minutes a woman named Candy picked up. Candy was a lot more professional and explained the reasoning for why they couldn’t assist and more detail about what occurred the day before. She helped me make a new appointment. And said she would let me know about any other openings if I am able to come in earlier than that. Anastasia needs to be spoken with about her phone etiquette and how to remain unbiased with clients are on the line. The dentist and hygienist were fine at my first appointment. It’s just the front desk that I have had problems with. The people you put at the front and on the phone represent your business. The dentist needs to reconsider who he has representing his reputation.

Negative experience: I was a client of this office in the past ( ive since moved to another city). I contacted this office to verify if a certain procedure was done there and was told yes that it was. I made an appointment, took off work and drove 40 minutes one way to be told that in fact the procedure had never been done there....understood that mistakes are made, but that was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING

Fantastic experience: The staff was welcoming, pleasant, overall my visit was great.

Negative experience: Assistant caused my cheek to bleed after placing the tongue protector for xrays, which all had to be repeated by a different tech anyway. Then, doctor looked for 5 seconds at my xray and photo, told me that I needed "several" crowns, but gave me an estimate for one that included a line item for "gum reconstruction" for another $300. The office did not respond to my email asking why that would be necessary. Went to a different dentist for the crown who billed $400 cheaper and told me nothing with the gums were needed, and that I didn't need any other crowns.

Fantastic experience: Open late enough that you can get to it after work. Friendly and fast enough you can't complain and they won't push you for dental surgery stuff

Negative experience: Make sure you get a second opinion! Don’t let any dentist intentionally spend up all your benefits. My first visit was ok. Hygienist was awesome, staff was friendly enough. Dr Pari was friendly. In my consultation she mentioned a cap to protect from any further cavities on a specific tooth. I was told they’d verify my coverage and call me to schedule. Never got that call. Never. I called a week later and was told I’d get a call in a couple days. Never got that call. A week went by. I called abs was told I could’ve scheduled an appointment. 2 weeks later? Thanks. I scheduled for my Invisalign consult, decided to pass on the cap. Mind you I just moved to Oakland. In Fresno I was sure to get all my dental work done such as root canals, cavities dealt with etc. I passed on the cap. In the consultation suddenly she found a cavity in the same tooth I just had filled. So I said I’m not getting a cap but you can redo my filling. The response was a shaky sure we can do that. I expected to make my appt and get a quote. Spent an hour waiting for my quote. Never got it. Was told I’d get a call before the day ended. Didn’t get it; however she did call and needed a now 3rd consult to talk about my root canals. Red flag. . I decided not to go back. I just had my root canals done only 4-5 months ago with new caps put on. I decided to go to another orthodontist and explain what happened because I was ready to start braces and wanted another opinion. I’ve had dentists mess over me before. Not happening. The new ortho called them to verify my treatment plan and now suddenly the recommendation was three crowns! Hell no! No mention of a cavity and after several calls they failed to provide the cavity clearance to the new ortho; however, she did get a verbal. I may have a great job and good coverage, but don’t scam me. You have to watch these people, ask a lot of questions, do your research, and get another opinion. I would never recommend this place (at least not this dentist). My coworker has her own story to tell but felt forced into a cap as well. It’s ok to say no! It’s ok to ask questions. It’s ok to call people out. I lost all trust in this place and would warn anyone going here to be aware. If I come to you for a consult, CONSULT! Don’t waste my time and keep randomly finding things and back pedaling. Never ever again. It’s giving scam.

Fantastic experience: I had a tremendous pre-crown experience here. This office runs like clockwork with an impressive team experience. They had me on the dentist's chair in a short time. Within minutes, my teeth were diagnosed. The dentist took her time to explain my options. There was an issue with my insurance, so they called the company for a resolution. The second visit was as impressive as the first. Things were done in a clockwork-type manner, with each step explained. All my questions were answered by Dr Kay and her assistant. I had temporary front teeth in while my crowns were made. The results were amazing. My front teeth were broken when I was a child, and I've had lots of work done to them over the years. Never have i had so much comfort and pleasure in the results. They deserve more stars.

Positive experience: The person who cleaned my teeth was very unprofessional. She was an Indian lady, and when I asked her about flossing my bridge, she responded, "Don’t you brush your teeth?" Additionally, my teeth were not properly brushed or polished. Each tooth was neglected during the cleaning. Overall, it was a waste of money, as she did not adequately perform the cleaning of my teeth. Customer service in front desk was excellent

Negative experience: Doctors and Hygienist are excellent. However, the front desk should do better with regard returning calls when they promised. I can't count the number of times when they promised to call, but never. I have been with this dental care for 9 years, and I have introduced several patients to join. Front desk, please do better.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday was my first day visiting this office. I'm extremely nervous when going to the Dentist. Extremely nice welcome from the 2 ladies at the desk. Then another staff member, Ivory, took me in the back to do the xrays and took me to the exam room. Then, Dr. Min walked in and Introduce herself. Very pleasant and understanding of my needs. If you're a coward like me going to the Dentist, don't worry:. You'll be just fine.

Negative experience: I had been a patient for 3 years. Most of the dentists are good but they have some questionable practices around collecting money. I had a double crown procedure scheduled and when I got there, they said I was required to pay the entire $2000 up front before the procudure. They would not allow a monthly payment. I had to cancel which was worrisome since my tooth was hurting. I also lost $100 deposit required to even book an appt. Their lack of care about me as patient and my needs speaks volumes.

Fantastic experience: I am from out of state and I unfortunately had a wisdom tooth that needed immediate extraction; i called multiple places and some of them did not even answer - much less accommodate me. I phoned this location and I was given an appointment the very next day in the morning! The tooth was removed the very next day for a great price and it was so quick and easy that I did not even know that it was done when it was removed. Every single staff member from the receptionists, to the tech, and Doctor Nguyen, were amazing! I highly recommend this location.

Negative experience: I only went in for a teeth cleaning. Everything was going ok. I was waiting to get checked out, when I was led to a small office. Once there, the receptionist started to show me different payment options for some crowns the Dentist suggested. They have a “Black Friday” deal to get 20% off if you book it on a certain day. I told the receptionist I was ok right now, I don’t want to spend $200 right now, as I only came for a cleaning. He told me “Once you leave this office, the deal is off the table” That made me feel like I was being hustled instead of feeling like they really had my best interest health wise. I can tell the receptionist was really upset. Not sure if they get paid commission on how many people they sign up, but his approach and choice of words made me feel uncomfortable. I won’t be back I feel like they were trying to hustle me because I had really good insurance.

Fantastic experience: From initial check in with Rosa, to prep and x-rays with Joshua, teeth cleaning by Hian to examination by Dr.Angel , I felt at ease by the environment and their kind demeanors. I’m also incredibly appreciative of Karla’s patience; fully explaining the follow up procedures and payment options after my appointment. Looking forward to being a returning patient!

Fantastic experience: 1st visit teeth cleaning and assessment. Bancroft Dental is a good modern dental clinic. Waiting room is spacious, knowledgeable staff, great hours, and modern equipment. The best part about my experience was the music being played. 2nd Visit- shared with staff my severe anxiety about going to the dentist and how getting major work done makes me uncomfortable. Dr. Angel and her Dental Assistants were so patient with me. Provided me with the support I need to get through the experience. 3rd Visit - again very supportive of my needs and very patient with me.

Negative experience: I scheduled my parents (82 and 86 years old) for cleaning. My mom needs the implant doctor to be in the office to remove the comfort denture for cleaning. I emphasized that over and over again when making the appointment. Appointments were made and they called back after 5 minutes to reschedule. OK, we took the new appointments. Today my parents showed up and they first told my mom the implant doctor was not in, then they told her to wait saying the implant doctor was at lunch. Another 20 minutes passed, they then told my mom implant doctor was not available and she will need to return another time. I got on the phone and was told that implant doctor had a full schedule today. Then why did they schedule my 86 year old mom and made her travel all that way! I asked to talk to the office manager who never came to the phone and just made my mom wait. This is not the first time it happened. I would have my mom have her cleaning elsewhere but she had her implants done there and they would not release copies of her records so that other dentists know what tools to use to remove her comfort denture for cleaning. It's almost two hours past the appointment now and my mom is finally been seen. This is a totally unprofessional outfit. They do not respect patients' time. Management has definitely changed over the years. It is no longer the same local community dental practice. Sad...

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience multiple times at this dental office. I’m not a dentist fan but suck it up and deal because in the long run maintenance is key and dental work isn’t cheap. They are so patient with my anxieties and do a great job at making me feel comfortable. So many people are kind and helpful- from front office staff to back office. The hours and days they are open make it convenient for working folks. Highly recommend.
