Family Dentistry - Dr. Schmitz, Dr. Fickas, Dr. Fabiano, and Dr. Biggerstaff

Fantastic experience: Thank you Dr. Fabiano and to the whole staff for your kindness, professionalism, and knowledge. If you have dental anxiety or past dental trauma, this is the office for you! I had a different, very bad dentist throughout childhood and young adulthood who did unnecessary work and the (many) fillings and other work I had done were extremely painful. Until seeing Dr. Fabiano I thought this was the norm, but the procedures and cleanings I’ve had with her have been smooth and pain free. Dr. Fabiano and the staff have also been very kind when it comes to my dental anxiety, and my questions are always answered with care and kindness, and I feel I am truly listened to. Staff members have even held my hand and comforted me while going through parts of procedures that I had previously been traumatized about. I cannot thank this office enough for making me feel comfortable going to the dentist again.

This was my first experience at Family Dentistry and from the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly, my insurance questions were answered, and the atmosphere was gracious and professional. Upon meeting Dr. Fickas, I knew he was a positive. From his demeanor to his dental skills, not only did he answer all my questions, he asked me numerous questions about my expectations and if I understood all that we discussed. Dr. Fickas shared in detail the various dental products, services, options to allow me choices on the treatment afforded to me. He also added the costs of the treatments offered, his experience and details of what to expect. . Dr. Fickas' assistant was kind and knowledgeable. It was nice to feel personally included as the patient. The visit was incredibly positive. I am excited to work with Dr. Fickas in the coming months!

Negative experience: Drove 40 minutes to bring child to appointment for 7:20 am was 10 minutes late and was refused to be seen due to traffic. Spoke with manager Cassie who said she had an appointment directly after my child’s and won’t have time to see her. This turned into an argument because the manager clearly does not know how to manage. I would give 0 stars if option. Hopefully if you go here, don’t ever be imperfect and be late once even though your on time and show up to all of the other appointments on time!

Fantastic experience: Conscientious friendly and caring environment. Dr Schmitz implements procedures to help keep seniors smiles as good as they can be. My dental hygienist Kelly was proficient and explained as well as asked questions while she was cleaning and performing safeguards to keep my teeth and gums healthy.

Fantastic experience: Family Dentistry has amazing doctors, and hygienists. The front desk staff is efficient and super friendly. I recently went in for my initial Invisalign treatment. It was a lengthy process, but the hygienist and dentist were very patient and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been seeing Dr Fickas for several years and we've had great experiences. From two year old twins up to 40+ yr old parents, all of us are treated with respect and dignity. Appointments happen on time, urgent issues are addressed quickly, and pricing is reasonable and up front. Edit one year later, while we still like the practice overall, three members of our family have had to see Dr Fabiano in recent months, and these experiences have not been good. She doesn’t take time to familiarize herself with a patient’s history before she begins recommending surgeries that the patient has recently undergone. She did not acknowledge me in the room with my child although we had never met, and threw a lot of orthodontic plans & possibilities that frightened my seven year old. She talks about her own life but has no connection with the patients. It’s been disappointing but we now schedule way out to be sure not to see her. When I phoned to express our bad experiences, I was not invited to share specifics.

Negative experience: The people are very nice and professional. The quality of the cleaning was below my expectations. I don’t feel that I received a quality cleaning in comparison to what I received at my previous Dentist. I’ve had 3 cleanings so far and I don’t feel that they have spent enough time or effort to provide a good quality cleaning.

She recently filled a cavity for me, and it was honestly the easiest, most comfortable dental experience I’ve ever had. Beyond that, Dr. Biggerstaff and the team at Family Dentistry make you feel like more than just a patient. They’re kind, professional, and genuinely care. Fantastic experience: Dr ficus is really great. He put in a crown on the implant I got and it just wasn't fitting right, so he made the decision to do another and I wasn't charged. That is a really good honest practice and it's a great place to go.

Fantastic experience: Dr Biggerstaff has become one of my favorite dentists. When I first started coming to this office, I had an initial counsel with a different doctor. Dr Biggerstaff came in and performed my work for the other doctor. I was pleased by her personal demeanor, her positive attitude, and probably the most important— the dental work performed. After the appointment, I requested to switch to Dr Biggerstaff. I have only ever had one experience where she couldnt fit me into the slotted time that I had. When I came back in for the work done, yesterday, they went straight to work. They were efficient, polite, and the work done to two teeth were exemplary. I will continue to go to Dr Biggerstaff. I as many others have anxiety about the dentist and I don’t enjoy the experience. But I feel the Dr Biggerstaff has calmed the experience me I know the work will be done amazing. Love Dr Biggerstaff.
