I have been absolutely deathly afraid of the Dentist and Dr. Dunn and staff completely changed how I feel when it comes to the dentist And I will forever be thankful for that.

Explained everything to me clearly, was very warm/upbeat/personable, and gave me tips about how to better care for my teeth including Amazon product recommendations and a flossing tutorial. Fantastic experience: This is my 3rd time there and I can tell you that this has been the best dentist I have ever stepped foot in!!!!! Best cleaning! Best check up! Even best x-rays! I took my daughter there as well and she couldn’t believe how clean her teeth felt! She’s been getting cleaning for years now but this place topped every other dentist. Dr. Platts is very calm in speaking. Explains everything and very gentle! Gina!!!! She is absolutely amazing!!! She cares about her patients. She remembers even the slightest detail from your last visit. She cleans your teeth like no other while making sure you are not in pain and she is gentle! Highly recommend this place! If you have to wait for an appointment do it! Once you are in you are in!!!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough about the front desk crew, Gina the hygienist, and Dentist Dunn! They’ve all made me feel so comfortable, especially since "just going to the dentist" is usually the worst for me!!!!! Dentist Dunn is super fast, talks you through everything, and makes the whole experience way less scary. Gina is amazing so gentle, kind, and calming. Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr. Platts for over 20 years and always a pleasant and successful visit. Dr. Platts is very knowledgeable and easily calms any 'fears' I might have when it comes to my teeth. The office is clean, equipment is up to date and staff are friendly and personable. They are quick to greet you and I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes each visit. Christie is my favorite hygienist. I can't recall the years she has worked on my teeth, but it feels like I'm visiting an old friend on each visit. Some folks dislike going to the dentist. It's never that way for me at Dunn and Platts.

Fantastic experience: I had a 2 hour session Pulling 2 teeth and 5 tooth bridge with Dr Platt. I was very pleased with the whole proceedure. Would definitly recommend this office for dental work.

Fantastic experience: The Dental Facility is beautiful!! The landscaping is gorgeous, and there is a nice big sign identifying the office, with more than adequate parking. I felt like I was in a resort upon entering. It looks brand new inside and out. The staff is very, very nice/professional. I spoke with Dr. Platts, who, was also very nice. Both Dr. Dunn and Dr. Platts both got their education at UCLA Dental School. You are getting THE BEST when treated!!

All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They contacted our insurance to see what exactly was covered, so we didn't have to. My hubby needs oral surgery, which will be done at another office and that appointment was set up before we left. We're both Very impressed.

Fantastic experience: Staff courteous and professional. A very comfortable experience! Suggest educating patient on potential for bruising and swelling afterwards.

Negative experience: Money hungry. Really a shame. They’ll see you just to get that $100 exam fee, then refer you to a “specialist” across the parking lot. They’ll leave you in pain even though they can help. In it for money. I used to see Dr. Dunn in idyllwild, the original, who is now retired. Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of being seen by his son-in-law. Welp, he got his $$$ to refer me to a “specialist”. I pleaded to just pull the tooth because i was in serious pain and loosing nights of sleep. He said “sorry” the tooth could shatter because it’s hollow. Well, I went to another dentist for a second opinion. Who pulled the tooth no problem. Also confirming that the tooth wasn’t hollow and a very easy pull. Thankfully I got to sleep last night. But No thanks to Dunn. Also, that horrible blown out receptionist should dissolve all that filler and try wearing a smile instead of skims ‍

He is professional, informative about every step of the procedure he is doing. Gina did all the deep gum cleanings, I must say she is wonderful and showed me a great deal of patience the times I was getting nervous during the procedure. Updated 6/2025 I can only say how happy I am with the service provided by Dr Dunn and his staff. His patience and professionalism are greatly appreciated. The dental work has been accomplished and now is routine cleaning in the near future. Other than a as needed fitting for a partial dental bridge.

Unfortunately Dunn & Platts doesnt take my insurance and I will need to utilize my insurance in the future. By the way, she also has a great personality & sense of humor. I brought my son here this past week for a second opinion because I made the mistake of taking him to a different dental office because it was closer to my house. I’m glad I came to get the second opinion, saved me money and work that did not need to be done. If you’re looking for a dentist, you won’t be disappointed. My son who is 16 said he liked this dentist better because they feel like family lol. He’s right!
