I had some pretty intense work done recently. Broken teeth removed and implants placed. I still do not understand how the procedure and recovery process was completely painless. If I didn't need to be aware of when to open my mouth, I would have been able to sleep through the entire thing. They truly care about their patients and the services they provide.

Fantastic experience: Since my last dental visit, I had braces and a pallet expander installed. The nice people at My Dentist told me that if I had my Orthodontist removed the wires on my braces before my cleaning, they'd be able to get my teeth much cleaner than if they had to clean around the wires. I had my Orthodontist remove the wires and I'm so glad I did. My teeth feel so clean! My hygienist Justine is AMAZING! I felt so bad for how hard she had to work on my teeth but the end result was everything I had hoped for. Ever since my Orthodontic appliances were installed my mouth just has not felt clean, but now, I'm all good! Thank you so much Justine!

My dentist ( Dr. Platner) was gentle and extremely talented in doing my anesthesia (didn’t feel anything), he reduced my anxiety, and my tooth restoration was perfect. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: From the dentists to the dental assistants to the people up front to billing, I am always treated with the utmost courtesy and respect by the staff. I have had two sets of dentures made and not only are they beautiful but they fit so well that I only had to have one adjustment made on each set. I can't say enough great things about this place! Positive experience: Everything went well but I’m having a lot pain and they don’t want to give pain medication. I’m on blood thinners a can’t take Ibuprofen so that leaves me with just Tylenol.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to My Dentist was a pleasant experience. I opted to have a tooth extracted and the staff was friendly and professional. I had very little wait time; they called me to confirm the day before. They even called back and asked if I needed to come in sooner than my original appointment. I seen Dr Lundee and she was professional and got my tooth out very easily. My insurance coverage was good and my bill was lower than quoted. I scheduled a follow up/cleaning before I left. I will recommend. July 2025 update: Although the staff has completely changed, I am still pleased with my experiences at My Dentist. Always friendly, clean and quick.

Fantastic experience: EXTREMELY CROHNS FRIENDLY!!! I’m just gonna start by saying Julissa is just WOWWW AMAZING! I truly have NEVER experienced someone better than her. She truly cares for her patients and does everything she can to help. I called last minute due to some health issues that was causing severe oral pain, the office got me in IMMEDIATELY (even offering same day appointment), it was fairly affordable as well. They were able to soothe almost all of the severe pain I was in and I can finally get eat again. I have also had wonderful experiences with her dentist (I can not remember his name:/) I also feel like she was incredibly knowledgeable in practices way beyond her scope, which was a BLESSING. She not only knew so much about Crohn’s and treatments for mouth Ulcers, she had some of the best suggestions I have gotten (even better than most DDS that I have seen) Overall, I 100/10 recommend MyDentist here in Joplin, especially Julissa the dental hygienist for ALL of your needs. If she wouldn’t have told me, I would have assumed she was a DDS just based off of her knowledge alone.

Fantastic experience: I love going to My Dentist in Joplin! My teeth always feel so clean when I leave. The check-in process with Allison was smooth and welcoming, and the doctor took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and reassure me. Crystal and Ana, who cleaned my teeth, were so kind and gentle—they welcomed my questions and even checked for tonsil stones because I was curious about them. They left me feeling amazing. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Hard to get a hold of. They never answer the phone. . Spent 5400.00 not 100 percent happy with the dentures. They act like I would get them in a couple of weeks . Couple of months. I just had to send the bottoms back for reline after having them 3 weeks. But never could wear them they were way to big. Anyway I'm just happy to of been able to get them. But I would shop around for some less expensive .I'm not an expert on dentures. But these are nothing special compared to friends and family that paid a lot less than I did.

Positive experience: My experience with My Dentist was amazing. The staff were all professional and polite. I was a nervous wreck but I was treated with care and I felt at ease. Nicole one of the receptionist was so kind and Jasen treated me like family. I met Dr. Clark and he had such an incredible spirit. He was so humble and I felt that he really cared about his patients. He assured me that he would take good care of me. I am from Alabama and I happen to see their sign from the road. I am glad I called and got information about my tooth problem. I will be having the problem taken care of soon. My Dentist will be My Dentist whenever I come to Missouri. Thank you guys for the way you all take care of your patients. I gave you a four star because I have not completed my office visit. I know I will be giving them a five star because they deserve it. This Alabamaian says hats office to My Dentist office.

Fantastic experience: From the point of my check-in for my appt. to when I checked out, the ENTIRE staff was INCREDIBLE!! They called me by my nickname, Nikkie, vs my legal first Stephanie. If it was just that alone, I'd be happy, but I'm NOT, instead I'm ECSTATIC!! Once I was in the back, I was EXPLAINED everything in detail about what was going to happen from the Tech. A few moments later, Dr. Derek came in and the procedure started, he explained EVERYTHING to me right before he did each step. He told me if I felt ANY pain to let him know immediately by raising my left hand and would stop what he was doing immediately and give me more medicine so I wouldn't. True to his words, he did just that. I did have him COMPLETELY stop, so that I could have Nitrogen Oxide. After I read and signed the paperwork, I did receive it and Dr. Derek could and would continue extraction of the tooth. Once he completed it, he and his Tech explained my AFTER care instructions and told me IF I'm still having any pain to notify them immediately and they will take care of the problem. I just can't stress enough of how I want to say, THANK YOU to the ENTIRE staff for EVERYTHING you did for me!! I have and will continue to tell ANYONE and EVERYONE IF they need dental care, they MUST go to My Dentist. I even have my youngest son, Robert go there. As a parent, I want only the BEST for him, so that's why I have him go there!! Again, Thank you EVERYONE!!

Fantastic experience: I am very scared of going to the dentist due to a bad experience where I went the last time. I was referred to My Dentist from a friend, which gave me and my friend a $50 credit how awesome is that, and they were awesome took every measure possible to make sure I was comfortable. The procedure was painless I was amazed and very thankful. I would recommend My Dentist for sure for a child or adult. If you read my comment and you decide to try them out give them my name as a reference and we both get a $50 credit how awesome is that.

Fantastic experience: I am visiting joplin fie rhe birth if my 1st Glamchild! I unfortunately came down with a horrible tooth pain. I exhausted all my options an reached out to my dentist. They got me in the next day. Dr. Wonderful Clark provided me with the option I had and the prices due to my dental insurance would not cover Missouri. However Dr.clark an Jodi turned my worries into RELEIF AND AFFORDABLE. I am so happy with the process from check in to check out! Thank you Dr. Clark? Jodi and staff you all are amazing! My first visit for a cleaning & X-Rays, and I was very impressed with the quality of service I received, so I made another appointment for my next 6 month cleaning.

Negative experience: DO NOT TRUST MY DENTIST! Been going to this dentist for a few years and had a few problems to begin with but here recently I had a crown fall off I've had multiple crowns fail that they did and I went in and they temporarily glued it back on and literally not 10 min after leaving it fell off. So then I had to make another appointment and every single time I made an appointment I had to wait about a month every time which caused my tooth to decay even more. Having to wait that long is completely unacceptable. So finally I went to my last appointment and the dentist goes to look at my tooth and apparently they grinded too much of my tooth off when they did the crown so now you can't put another crown on it again. Why would they do that to me? so then they say I need an implant or a bridge. So I'm like ok that's fine until they tried to make me pay out of pocket for it and would only cover the extraction for something that was completely their fault. All of the employees are very unprofessional and did not make me feel safe and wanted as a customer. I would absolutely not trust this Dentist. I am possibly going to be losing a muller tooth and I'm only 24 because of them. I have gone through so much unnecessary pain and suffering because of them. I would highly recommend not trusting my dentist with your dental needs. I feel like my mouth is ruined for the rest of my life because of this dentist and I am terrified to go back so I got a new dentist. I truly hope no one has to go through what I went through so I do not recommend them. I could go on and on about this but I can only type so much. This dentist has only caused more problems then they fixed and I spent thousands of dollars. DO NOT TRUST MY DENTIST!

Usually he would be fine to sit and play with a toy in his car seat during my cleaning, but he was fussy and wanted to be close to me. My hygienist worked with us so well! She made adjustments so that my son could sit on my lap during my cleaning. Her flexibility made our experience great!

If you feel like you want to get a second opinion on whatever your dental needs are, I would recommend visiting My Dentist and giving them a try. They have flexible hours, and the staff are very friendly.

Edit 3/22/25: I still have a great experience. Dr Schneickert, the dental aids and the receptionists have always given me more reason to keep going back. I now have all my top teeth cared for and still have no complaints against them. I used to have chipped teeth but they were able to take care of them and help me save money.

Fantastic experience: Dr Clark and his staff are amazing. I had a deep fear of dentists and so neglected my teeth. I ended up having a tooth pulled and Dr Clark was a surprise star. He did not cause me pain and was able to get the tooth out smoothly. It has healed super quick also. I have recommended My Dentist to family members who recently moved to Joplin and I am no longer terrified of a dentist.

Negative experience: I'm disappointed in My Dentist. I called to get in because I'm in pain, and was told I could come in at 2pm today, so I told them I had to confirm with my husband who was at work and I'd call them right back. I called less than 5 minutes later and talked to someone different. She said they couldn't fit me in and that I would have to wait until March 20th. There obviously needs to be better communication, and I will be finding somewhere else to go. Which is sad because I normally have a good experience there.
